GoM map chat has been pretty rich since the incident in the past pages.

In all seriousness, AR has been up against EB, SBI, DH, DR akittens height, Kain, etc. GoM far out does all of these servers as far as what I have seen in total zerg population. I just don’t understand why the median of player skill is so low on the server. You may want to direct some of your player base over to the class forums, because maybe it’s a build/gear issue. I’m not trying to be mean, I am honestly trying to help you guys out.
…or maybe no one is taking WvW serious right now. Many are taking advantage of the karma train and leveling alts(lots of PvErs too I assume). We don’t need to put out effort as of now, since we have the numbers. Seriously, when was the last time GoM has got a match that required us to work? Its something the server needs, we need a good shock to get everyone’s head back in the game. Unfortunately Anet refuses to give it to us.

Truth be told, most of our lot didn’t really start nailing AR until they started rolling stuff in our BL. As for GoM, I got respect for some of your guys – but is there any real need for all this trash talk? Fact is, you and we keep getting stuck with one another because our respective ratings bite. Nothing more, nothing less.
But what do I know? Hell, I’m usually that crazy jagoff rushing teams with just me. Figure I’m going to die/repair/WP anyway, may as well go out Norse-style.

Had fun with FC a little bit ago inside of Sunnyhill! I was the engineer on top that none of you could kill, or for some reason CC. Killed about 7 of you before I got bored & decided to leave, cute effort building that AC just for me though <3

Also I can’t understand why GoM and SF are so intent on focussing their efforts on FC?
Normally, I’m a “don’t beat down the little guy” kind of person. Unfortunately, the rating system does not share my sentiment. Glicko expects GoM and SF to grind FC into the ground. If they don’t, they will lose rating to FC because they are “doing worse than expected.”
So honestly I’m torn. I don’t want to focus FC, but I also don’t want to lose rating to them for being nice.
Hang on here, if GoM performs better against SF than FC then you would gain even more rating points…

Let me set a few things straight here somewhat at least. First off I preface this by saying that no one person(s) viewpoint can be shared by an entire server.
With that being said, most of us on SF were content to give GoM hell this week and in large part ignore FC other than some EB holdings. This was mainly due to the fact that we knew you lost people to HoD, we had immense respect for little bro still from the T8 days, and GoM fields a sizable force that would keep us busy for the most part anyway.
Anyhow, all that began to change for a lot of us when the FC gank squads began attempting to farm us as we were heading for objectives on BL maps. Many, many times over the weekend FC were camping areas like the bridge to hills (from lake), while GoM was assaulting hills on our BL. So of course the natural progression was: “OK if FC wants to stick their nose in our business and not even try to take hills themselves, lets just press them a bit”.
Was not something really coming from a place of anger etc, or even in an effort to try to “win/gain ppt”, it is mainly just because a few groups of FC players decided to try and troll us, so we decided to troll a bit ourselves. (Golem rushes on FC BL Sat/Sunday comes to mind).
TL/DR: We still love ya FC, but if you try to troll farm us while letting GoM have a free pass, we will come rub the SF lovestick on ya.
I get what you’re saying and I was online once when FC pushed on SF BL, but only when we had to fend off GoM AND SF in our EB keep then win back our multi coloured BL. I suppose that FC will have to attack SF or GoM sooner or later and can expect retaliation in return…
I just get the feeling that EB gets all red removed before GoM moves in on the blue side.
Whatever the case may be, it just does not feel nice to be ganged up on although it’s an inevitable situation in a 3-way battle.
Sigh… if only we had more numbers to compete properly
The only thing I can speak to is what I see, and that is GoM flows to the path of least resistance. Meaning the times I’ve seen them pushing you guys (FC) on EB, is when you do not have adequate numbers or they have overwhelming numbers, the same goes for us.
If we push them off of a few attempts normally they go back to sieging from SM and pushing your 1/3 of the map. When we don’t have people they roll over our side, I have logged on to see us having nothing in EB while most of your 1/3 is still red. And in contrast, I have logged in to us having our 1/3 and you guys losing or lost all of yours. More than likely they either have only one commander on at some times, or they only have enough people to mount the big zergs one at a time that can clear 1/3 of EB. A lot of it (from both viewpoints) has to do with playtime and the scenario.
While I can’t speak for everyone, most people on GoM don’t seem to be taking this match up too seriously from what I see.

Eh this kind of stuff doesn’t bother me any more. Fact of the matter is there are people on all servers who do it, and sometimes people are just having fun.
As a matter of fact, I’ve been having fun recently eating a bunch of Zhaitaffy and throwing up on people after I kill them

I just hate SF and have hated them since I first met them on HoD.
I never miss an opportunity to take a dig at them.

Loss of stun break on lightning flash hurts, loss of stun break on cleansing fire is baffling, and where they added the stun breaks is even more baffling.
This is the infamous tower in s/e dr bl sf and gom has so much trouble capping… Funny to see 15-20 man zergs try at it and bring golems and trebs to try and take us out… Better luck next time guys!
Not going to lie, I went to DR BL to see what could be done about capping it.
You still had sentries posted and enough on map to foil any efforts to cap it.
I wonder why it didn’t help us get our lead back? I guess because you are so incredibly awesome at smashing your face into doors all night. We made up about 3-3.5k points during primetime, while crushing your zergs and maneuvering around multiple maps. I understand your need to come on the forums and assert your ‘achievements’ when you actually do have enemies to fight before you night cap. It must be rough to PvDoor all night and no one gets to see your awesum skillz. I completely understand that PvD is a a part of the game and that someone has to do it, but don’t come to the forums trying to make a guild look bad just because you jumped off of a wall and clicked a button. Kinda makes you look like a moron.
Achievements? What achievements? I didn’t achieve a kitten thing. I was laughing at a failure that I found a bit of humor in. Also what awesome skills? I kittening suck at PvP, that made it funnier. I rotate between night crew and day crew depending on what shift I’m on at work. I get a taste of all timezones. Majority of my play time is between 1PM and 10PM CST.
Jumped off a wall? Didn’t know there were walls at that camp.

Imagine if everyone posted on the forums as soon as they downed a few people in a large group with Churning Earth. The weight of the internet would definitely multiply.
I guess I didn’t make myself clear enough either, they focused the trebs so intently I was able to -walk- into the middle of their group, start channeling CE, get it off(no teleport), down 4 or 5 people, and walk away. Shortly after they wiped without taking down a single treb.
The waypoint in hills and your paper everything else didn’t give it away? Man you missed it big, we held your map up until about 10-11pm est. You guys were getting rolled all NA prime time in your map. I believe we took your garrison back seven or eight times.
Oh, I logged on to a red home BL, but not long after I logged in we started taking things back.
If you managed to hold it as long as you said you did, I must applaud you.

You had enough to wipe all the GoM pugs there, yet you focused the trebs so intently you let a DPS oriented ele get a churning earth off right in the middle of you. I had a pretty good laugh seeing how many people I downed.

To all the people bickering about who is better, WvW is all about who has the bigger zerg and the better coverage.
You must have missed the six hours up until this where we consistently wiped your trebs/group, and capped everything but your bay and held/upgraded it. I believe we switched to our up levels for exp train at this point though, so that’s why we went for the trebs, they were worth more wxp than you guys were by that time.

Anyways, most thieves are free loot bags, but every now and then you get one that’s a real kitten. Steal > heartseeker > heartseeker and my ele loses 17k health, that’s really quite annoying. Sure I can dodge or use a cantrip but normally it only delays the inevitable.
