Nearly all the hardcore WvW players I started out with or even picked up through my travels have quit.
I don’t log into the game but once a month.
The game has become stale, same ol’ same kitten day after day therefore a large number of people have simply moved on.
JQ
I love the amount of customization in this game, however once you hit end game you realize its not quite what you thought it was.
It really feels like they lost some talented people as far as armor designs go after the released the game. Not to mention Anet totally neglecting Charr.
JQ
Roaming has been dead for awhile on t1, back months ago it was better.
Now you’re lucky to find anything but the odd 5-7 group running around. That was fine back when I still had a group of friends, but everyone I knew has pretty well quit the game. I only log in about once a week myself.

Spark
Mystic Toilet 50g
Dawn
Mystic Toilet 400g
Chaos Gun
Cursed Shore
Random Mob.

I made a thread with the same topic and received no replies… hum.
Anyways, I’ve moved on to wilder and starrier things.

The carrot on the stick is the main attention holding aspects of MMOs, therefore this is kinda obvious…
Anyways, having crafted two legendary weapons myself and playing for a year and a half GW2 ran stale for me. My patients in ANet releasing fluff rather than meaningful update to the game wore thin. The broken rewards for WvW and the lack of ability to fix the issue was the final straw.
I already have a max level stalker in Wildstar and I’m not looking back. GW2 was fun for awhile but the apparent lack of resources and/or wrong allocation of resources along with the money grubbing attitude broke it for me. Hope NCSoft doesn’t kill Wildstar the same way.
“the money grubbing attitudeā Ncsoft is responsible for much of the money element so likely also how they grub the money. With that knowledge it’s how do I say that polite… Not super smart to go for another game by the same publisher. That’s how they seem to work. Squeeze out the money from one game move to the next and the players willing follow throwing in the money again.
So if you don’t like the money grubbing attitude then move to an non-Ncsoft game. Now you are complaining about exactly what you are supporting.
Wildstar is set up differently, to a degree. Hopefully it will keep the NCSoft money grubbing away for a long time. Otherwise, I’ll play the game till it goes to kitten, then move on. The same thing I did with GW2.
I believe it also comes down to the development team as well.

I made the mistake of destroying all my tickets from last time, I spent all the tickets I had/could buy and got nothing from the drops.
JQ
Its not worth it to farm.
Get a load of this,
http://youtu.be/bGDmuSVqyGg
Considering each bag costs a entrance ticket its simply not worth it.
JQ
Yeah, I finished it pretty easy. If I can beat it, anyone can.
JQ
I decided I didn’t like Wildstar near enough to move games..
That has changed with the recent updates. Statements by anet in update messages that are in horrible taste, recycled LS content that was simply made worse, and simple lack of attention.
I’ve played the game some the last week and just found myself utterly aimless. I’ve got every skin I’ve ever wanted, and I’m burnt out on all the PvP content.
JQ
Maybe could we get giant red text floating on the screen giving tips on completion when an event is failed?
JQ
snip
I think such content should take the forum of Tequatl and the like and not be pushed into living story too much, because difficult/challenging content and short time windows cause player frustration. The short time window is a major source of frustration. Especially for those that understand the fight but can’t get the cooperation to finish.
A thousand times this.
I can’t… I mean I just can’t understand some people in this game.
JQ
I feel the same way trying to find a competent enough map group to complete some content.
Trying to do anything with the general gw2 player base is like herding cats.
I swear, you can talk to them nicely and explain the theory behind how such an event should be completed. You can yell and throw very accurate and well earned insults but ANYTHING you try seems to fall on deaf ears for all except a small handful.
I can’t stand gw2 zerglings.
JQ
Even as someone who’s bought gems for gem to gold(full time job = money > time). I find there inclusion “reminding” people they can trade gems to gold in their update message while at the same time directly or indirectly nerfing in game money making sources in absolutely TERRIBLE taste.
I’m surprised the forum user base isn’t bend out of shape more.
JQ
I do PvE for the rewards, not the experience. This game’s strength is not its PvE, if you want good PvE go else where.
JQ
I’ve often though the same.
I don’t see anet ever adding it to the game though.
JQ
2 Errors Prevented Saving:
Message Body can’t be blank
Message Body length must at least be 15.
JQ
Might I suggest incorporating these into a spreadsheet? Spreadsheets are what I’ve always used to keep track of progress on my legendary weapons.
JQ
As far as point one, I use to do this on purpose to afk people when I wanted to get mobs off myself.
Moving on to point two, If I want the easy loot I’m going to attack the mob.
JQ
There should be option to force all asura as generic humanoid models.
JQ
I think I would have to vote charr my favorite also.
I like charr as they are a good mix of cute + fierce + different. Salad faces and ego-rats tie for last though.

I run 2/6/0/0/6 in WvW. \o/
Thief ain’t kitten if you’re not hitting those big numbers. Though I generally do not roam solo and if I start running into too many condi-bunker, troll losers I switch classes.
JQ
“Their excrement is something like mulch.”
JQ
I loved Wildstar’s style and I enjoyed the combat… in PvE at least.
I was able to enjoy the leveling process even through bland and repetitive quests because it offered a challenge! In PvE the combat against mobs felt exciting and engaging. You better worry when you run into a veteran mob, but all the fights felt winnable. Engaging combat in PvE is something gw2 just doesn’t have.
Where gw2 shines is the PvP, Wildstar PvP was so bad I immediately stopped playing the game after I tried it for the first time. I mean its that bad. Its a steaming pile of kitten.
JQ
I disagree I feel the current classes/races really cover the spectrum.
What I would like to see is more build diversity.
JQ
The final nail in the coffin was the huge nerf to farming Orr with this crappy megaserver change.
You at least had a little bit of a chance to maybe get lucky with a precursor drop while still being able to farm income through heavy moldy bags and various drops but it got nerfed so terribly and it’s driving up the prices for mats/pres/etc.
IKR
Orr farm was how I finished Sunrise. I’m glad I really jumped on the grind and got it done right before the patch.
Anet must be proud of themselves on that one, first they reduced their server costs, second the reduced that amount of material coming into the game. That must make that gem store more appealing, right?
JQ
I cashed out today for a small profit.
I don’t feel like risking it any longer.
JQ
Earlier today the person ranked #1 in soloQ had 8 wins and 4 losses.
I laugh at you for thinking the leaderboard means anything at all.

Small group WvW stuff in t1 use to be viable for awhile, but now its pretty terrible.
You rarely see a TC without 10+ behind them or see a BG without a full map queue behind them. The few BG you find in smaller groups generally put up a better fight than TC.
If you go to the low tiers you find more small scale, although unless you only play on prime time you’ll probably be suffering from a lack of any action.
Honestly… T1 through T3 is your best bet. I have to take away points from t1 right now as I find myself fed up with the zergs more often than not lately.
JQ
People still play shadow arts thieves???
A thief’s power in WvW comes from being able to pick your fights and disengage almost at will. This is what people find annoying, which is understandable. In this case you should simply learn your role and accept this is the thief’s role.
Personally I find it entertaining to plan ways to lock down and kill the thief. Takes a little understanding of game mechanics and class mechanics, so I can understand why the whiny casuals have such a problem with them.
Thief, outside of condi-cheese, is very low on my list of annoyances.

Take your loss like a man, you’re only reinforcing the behavior.
2v1 is a perfectly viable tactic in an imbalanced game mode. One server stack more WvW guilds? One server boast and chest thump incessantly? Want to knock them off their high horse? 2v1! An all out 2v1 sucks for all involved, so you know you made lots of people mad to be on the receiving end of such an attack.
As for me, if its red its dead. I may focus one server over another but I will not adhere to any complete 2v1.
I hope this tactic permiates through the tiers so the imbalanced match ups become a little close. Of course I do not mean all out 2v1, but the two servers with less coverage/population focusing the larger server but still playing for first.
I think this would offer a much more interesting battlefield if people were willing to take advantage of it.
JQ
Yeah, the precursor was why less than half when I crafted Sunrise.
The rest of the gifts totaled over 1200g.
JQ
I got my 3rd precursor a day or so ago or a random mob in Cursed Shore
They’re still dropping. .-.
JQ
I sold it and bought the knock-off version because I decided I liked the skin.
JQ
I’m waiting till they stop going up then I’m dumping my collection.

Cat/Fox/Wolf
Come on, I want to make an Ahri look-a-like.
If you want me to throw money at my computer make some more -good- headband skins.
JQ
I have two female humans, three female charr, and a female norn.
I don’t RP or anything. The only thing I care about is aesthetics, as you say females have the best looks in this game. I don’t understand why some people have such an aversion to playing characters of the opposite sex.
My fem charr thief is probably my favorite. She’s cute, she’s not girly, she’s not sexualized, and she is troll as can be.
JQ
The only really “competitive” online gaming I did before gw2 was LoL. I personally find this game pretty easy to pick up compared to it. Some classes are a little awkward to start out with, but thats the extent of it.
In tPvP I find myself worrying much more about what my team is doing and what rotation is best rather than how I’m playing the class itself.
JQ
If you’re an engi and are having a hard time with thieves you are doing something very, very, very wrong.
Come back again when I can dismiss all your turrets at will.
JQ
Yep, shatter build.
Just the first time I had run into that particular setup.
I actually use to main mesmer in tPvP. :P
JQ
This is the result of me 2222ing a glass staff ele for laughs.
JQ
He must be glass as can be using signets.
I think I hit 7k on squishes with a trickery d/p build
JQ
take the 60 gold you got from the skin and your obi shards and make clovers in the forge.
Oh, I have two legendaries, not planning on making anymore till something new comes out.
And yet with these ones you completely bypass the RNG that people have been whining about since release.
Now you are GUARANTEED two of these every time you complete a track that have them (the regional seems to have them and they are repeatable). These are for PvP players, not for PvE-players that want a faster/easier way.
The point was, they could increase the rewards a little for PvP players.
JQ
Staff/gs is the general meta shatter setup for tpvp.
It’s not an odd combo.
Hum, I’ve been out of tPvP awhile, but it doesn’t ring any bells.
