If your MMR is tanked its a good time to roll a thief and kitten all over the PvErs

Yes, its annoying, but livable.

I just keep the weapons in my inventory and switch when needed.

I really, really, really hate the new turret bubbles.

1.) Bubbles in this game infuriate me.

2.)They are way too spammy.

Not to mention condi engies are a massive kitten.

I ran into a mesmer which looked and played like a condi PU, but had WAY more damage than normal.

He kittented all over my d/p theif. I though I was just playing like a kitten until I watched him do the same to others. A guildie also commented on running into the same sort of build.

iirc, he was running staff/gs which is an odd combo.

Any ideas?

The Balthazar reward path took me about ~13 hours of yoloq and yoloing in teamq.

I would assume about a 50% win rate.

What did I receive? 8 obi-shards, 2 Mystic Clovers, and an ugly skin.

1.) I’m actually loving the obi-shards. I can’t complain too much about them

2.) Mystic Clovers… TWO!? for ~13 hours of game play. To get the 77 would take near 600 hours to get 77 if all others paths give the same. In PvE you can farm what you need(including karma) in less than 30 hours.

3.) The ugly skin sold for 60g. Like I have no words.

4.) I did receive a few t6 mats, nowhere near whats achievable in PvE, but still nice I guess.

But, yeah, Anet… 600 hours to get 77 Mystic Clovers is a little extreme. Though, it is nice finally being rewarded for a part of the game I enjoy rather than doing mindless farming.

I’m still laughing about getting 60g for that skin though.

Temple farm still works.

A new deathmatch map has been added, but it will be limited to custom arenas for the time being. It was stated it would be given further development if it was popular enough.

You do realize the social hub just got moved a map over, right?

My god people will complain about everything.

I’ve gotten to where I avoid the highly populated maps due to the loading time, even on kitten. I can’t stand it, the Black Citadel is where I do most things now.

Not looking forward to the megaserver crap for above stated reasons.

I just recently made a another legendary after swearing I’d never do it when I heard about the wardrobe changes. I’m sure many other people did/are doing the same. That combined with speculators/market manipulators and high prices for rares gets you to obscenely priced precursors.

This skin will probably be the only skin I will use in PvE that I got in sPvP.

Well, at least this skin won’t be easy to get from sPvP anymore after the patch.

I’ve always though the spinal blades looked best on Charr.

I have one on both of mine.~

I have 6K+ AP and the only dungeon I’d ever ran more than 3 times was CoF P1.

I recently started doing dungeons again and I ignore most of the “ZERK ONLY” or “X+ AP only” ads. I’ve only had to ditch one party so far, this is including fractal PuG groups.

Most dungeons in this game are easy enough if you can comprehend directions and follow what everyone else is doing. It amazes me how some people can’t manage it.

D/D is in a bad spot in PvP right now thats about it. Dungeon meta for ele is s/f.

I use all the weapons sets on ele at different times depending on what I need. \o/

To level d/d or staff should be fine.

Why is everyone obsessed with these lame, bird-brains.

Yak’s Bend is my favorite server to guest to for PvE.

If you want to maximize the efficiency of your farming the super stacked servers aren’t the best choice.

Best keep in mind though that if you want to play WvW at some point the highest ranking servers all have a pretty hefty queue most of the prime time.

This, if you want to play WvW any server that is not totally at the bottom of the ranks will do. If you need to be on the winning side then you will be in queue more often than not unless you play off-peak time.

I’m on JQ and the queues are really only a problem on reset night.

To get the decent dyes you’re going to have to spend some gold.

As far as finding the right ones go I just filter the TP to all the dyes and preview them until I find what I want.

I go to EoTM for the sole reason its the easiest way to get karma.

I save the effort for the real WvW.

In Poland… But its not about that, the thing is that gem price is equal for every country. So either you work in Norway and can get like 85g/h or you work in Poland and can get 8,5g per hour.

To the topic – Im pretty sure, ranger can handle aoe tagging, I got a quite good aoe build for events farming ;-) Might share after the patch (maybe we’ll change something, who knows what patch’s gonna bring )

There’s really nothing that can match the Guardian’s tagging ability.

I haven’t played a ranger in forever, but I can’t think of anything thats going to be good enough. Traps are a maybe, but its still not going to be quite enough.

Thief with SB #2 spam and dagger storm was just barely viable.

Every other person has a legendary or three now-a-days anyways.

They aren’t too hard to get.

SteamOS is just Linux, iirc.

They’d have to rewrite the graphics for OpenGL.

NCSoft isn’t going to pay for it.

OP, The obvious cure for lack of will to play is setting a goal, if you for some reason play this game solely for the PvE. Which is something I can’t really understand when there are better choices. I swear Runescape years ago had more exciting PvE than this game.

Ranger: Best open-world PvE class. Its what I did map complete on. They are in a (very) bad state for WvW all the way round, they are viable for tPvP if mostly cheese builds.

Thief: Everyone’s favorite thing to hate. Viable for solo to small scale WvW and tPvP. They are terrible in PvE and WvW zergs.

I hate my ranger, love my thief(sometimes). Really can’t say I’d recommend either, they both have limited scope of relative viability compared to other classes.

If you’re new make both and play which ever you like better, you can always level another character later. I should also say, ranger will be the easiest to level and get into the game due to the pet.

I assume rare dyes will drop and stay low for awhile, but I assume they will jump back up -eventually- depending on how rare unidentified dyes become.

I’m holding on to one BL skin just to see what happens to skins, because I have no idea.

This farm isn’t bad, helped me finish Sunrise. I think I ran into Vol at least once.

Learned a few things.

#1: SB Thief can be substituted for guardian, dat #2 spam.

#2: TC has obscene lagblobs of death and should be avoided at all cost.

#3: Yak’s Bend is best PvE server

The megaserver will be limited to only 1-15 maps for what will probably be months. This farm will be viable for quite awhile.

4.2k hours played since headstart, +1k gold down the forge, 0 precursor drops yet 4 legendaries and 1 precursor waiting to be crafted all thanks to the wonders of the TP.

If you want a legendary then just buy the kitten thing from the TP.

Nothing legendary about that.

Nothing Legendary about an RNG drop either. It’s either purchased or randomly rewarded for doing nothing special. We need a precursor challenge/hunt to justify the name “Legendary.”

You realize the “hunt” is just going to be more gathering mats, right?

I can’t see how they’d introduce anything truly challenging in this game for a precursor.

I can see where you are coming from and understand your frustration.

Though, the first thing I though after reading the blog post was how great is was going to be to duel wield Incinerators on my ele after only crafting one.

Anyways, you still have the other benefits of the legendary such as selectable stats and the up coming account bound ascended/legendaries.

Conspiracy? no. But there is a problem somewhere- I know of people who’ve gotten several prec’s in only a couple hundred forgings, and others who get none in over a thousand- I myself have gotten exactly one, somewhere between 2-3 hundred

I’m inclined to think A-Net kittened up somewhere in the rng code, and used account id as one of the seeds for the generator- that would explain why some accounts seem blessed or cursed with forge luck.

Anyways, yep, they’re a pain to get. I flushed 600 rare greatswords down the toilet the other day only to get skunked.

Then again with the number of legendaries you see now-a-days they can’t be that hard to get. I’m more proud of my duel King Toad SAB daggers on my thief and my Imobulus on my mesmer than I am of my Incinerator.

The Imobulus is a hell of a lot more rare and the daggers were a kitten to get therefore also very rare.

EDIT: NVM, just got Dawn. Literally went and bought more rare great swords after typing this and got Dawn.

Anet is clearly too busy with china release and boring living story.

1.) New sPvP modes
2.) Profession balance
3.) Quality of Life interface improvements, I.E party system, commander tag system, guilds, and trading post. All feel rushed, buggy, and/or terrible.

PvE in this game is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. I cannot wrap my head around why anyone would play this game for only the PvE.

Runescape had better PvE than this game.

When I first started this game I saw it as PvP centric with the PvE as a distraction in between. Yet anet has neglected the PvP in this game to the extent its not worth playing any more. WvW finally got some attention even if it was nothing but a karma train map.

sPvP has been left in the dust all for the terribly written, terribly voice acted, stupid zerg fest that was living story.

Getting back on topic, the lack of the trinity really works in PvP, makes the game more fun because of it. Throwing that away to help a kitten portion of the game makes no sense to me.

I’m happy with how its progressing.

Still iffy on the gloves. Needed something to match green back piece though.

I managed on condi mesmer just fine.

This is a forum for a MMO, people come here mostly to complain.

Gotta have that thick skin and take it as a complement someone cares that much about the game to be here voicing those concerns. Even if they may not be voiced in a constructive matter.

Every big company has is big company kitten and limited resources that must be worked through and that translates to slow reactions. Still a portion of the community feels abandoned.

You act as if he has any part in the decision to implement such things. Large companies have decision makers and they have doers. This game is for profit, therefore decision makers will introduce ways to increase profit.

Cool downs. Every individual skill means too much on an ele.

Can be focused down and cc’d too easily when bunkering.

Do not have enough damage mitigation when DPS.

Not enough sustained DPS when speced for burst.

Often require more skill to play than other classes.

Other classes do everything the ele can do better with less effort.

The glow effects should remain on the ascended version only.

The cost and grind was very minimal considering the quality of the skin.
