Agreed. We went from GW1 allowing you to move anywhere you wanted, for any reason, for no cost at all. Now, we’re punished for needing to go places, without using the Mists>LA>gate jazz. It costs money to do the story, even. There are too many gold sinks.

And yes, in my opinion waypoints should cost less, a max of 1s to a very far distance is enough (but I also think even that is expensive, because I love to help a lot of my friends in different areas.. so that is absolutely expensive for me.. but as I am a good person I still do that for them :-)..)

Did you notice the explosion of the cave barricade before entering the cave? The first researcher group has to act there.. (I am still wondering if in our first try, that did not happen..) But there is no cutscene, they just talk..
The most disappointing for me is that – as they told us about the dye system – they mentioned the dyes would be account-wide.
“Colors will be unlocked, not muled.
Storage was always a factor when it came to dye colors in Guild Wars. The new system would cripple most inventories if we required characters to lug all the dyes around. Fear not! The dye hues themselves will be unlockable through various means, both in-game and out. Once you unlock the color, it will be available across your entire account, not just the individual character.”

They always said they would talk about game mechanics/ systems to us if they are ready to be implemented that way. (Yeah, sometimes things change, but they could have talked about it and not just changed it and leaving the feeling of disappointment..)
You can have 2 words names, it’s just that the second name isn’t a family name. It could be something significant to them or an additional descriptor. I choose Aedan Nightshade with a little lore based story to go with it for fun. Nightshade is not his family name or clan name or anything like that, it’s kind of like a 2 word first name.
That’s fun, because my necro sylvari is named Noxxi Nachtschatten
Nachtschatten is german for nightshadow/ nightshade

My other sylvari (an engineer) is named Lya Wurzelchen (the german -chen makes the name, in that case the word root, more cute.. like Aunt → Aunty/ Auntie)

and making sure there were active enemies in the cave to draw the second team into the fight.
That is important and after you talked to them you need to hold their aggro the whole time while going very slowly (we did it backwards, then you see when they try to run back again and again). You need to react to their attempts to run back, get their aggro again, and so on..
Did you all clear the whole cave before the abomination?
And did you try to get the researcher group fighting the abomination a little bit away from their place where they are usually standing and after the abomination is killed talking to them and going very slowly backwards to hold the researchers group aggro?
That did for us the difference and only the last part did take about 10-15 minutes because the group wanted to run back that often..

The big question is: why do we loose the aggro? why do they want to stay there or return to that place?
can you fix that? so they would follow you more easily and don’t want to run back.

I remember we’ve gotten some karma at the beginning, but that was changed very soon..
But one important question:
Can I play the storyline of my other characters or will it also automatically happen to them?
I have two characters still affected from that bug and my human mesmer had the other bug with stealing secrets before (which is fixed now), so every character of mine who came to the level ~ 30 quest (where to meet their friends in lions arch) get bugged.. I don’t want to have more bugged charas if they progress to that point of storyline, so do I have to avoid these storyline quests with all of my characters?

I get stuck very often with my mesmer.. so if that happens I try every single skill I have, mostly the second staff skill teleports me a little bit away and then I am not longer stuck. But that needs a few minutes or I have to wait until a fight ended.. can you kill the flower which poisons you?
But it would be very helpful if there would be a /stuck resolution like in gw1..

So it is still the same. Guess, I am the female character on that picture and I discovered it.. as I tried to play after the patch was made I thought I would need to wear glasses because everything faded and blurred (I did not change anything). As Tyr found the solution everything went back to normal for me.
But is it intended to work that way? I had the option “depth blur” ticked before and everything looked fine, then the patch changed it that ticking it made it blurry.. hmm..
Did nobody notice that, too?

Hmm, also you participated in all events (which included killing this champion) and then AFTER the event the same boss/ champion appeared too soon?
I think that should not happen and counts as a bug..
I really like this event (even when it causes bad lags and that there are too many people and you cannot loot quick enough..) and I think I did it four times (with different characters and on different days), but I did not experience that this champion appeared again.
Did anyone experienced the bug for the first time AFTER the patch was made?
Well, my asuran girl and my female norn are still waiting to be cared for, but maybe like someone above mentioned they first fix the reason, that caused it, to prevent other player experiencing it and after that looking for our already affected characters?
Nevertheless it would be very helpful to get a clear information about what’s happening..

Did you not enjoy the whole event (I remember there are three (?) events following each other)? Maybe you were lucky to get that chest, but actually came too late or left too early to participate in all events.
So I will not do any dungeon if that is what we get?
We did Ascalonian Catacombs (storymode) last week for the first time and it was hard work, but the reward (30 silver?) was quite appropriate. We also had to spend 8s for armor repair.
We would have been very disappointed and demotivated, if we have received 2s instead.
Did they also change the rewards for storymode?
For me it would be a solution, if you can do each dungeon with a high reward for the first time and then maybe you have to wait a little time until you get fully rewarded again.
Possibly that would reward the honest player in a worthy way and demotivate these people who want to farm money/ experience/ whatever there.
That really doesn’t look black. I figured it out that in my case it depends on my graphic options. The more I set them on high, the more light and other effects are also reflected on my clothes. So my clothes seem to be darker with lower graphic options than with high options. But it isn’t that different how it looks on your clothes..
The preview in your hero panel looks nice (and black).
Which color is on the right-hand side of your black dye?
