GIVE us a fix or atleast COMMUNICATE properly with us. We deserve it, we are your lovely customers.
We can’t really play with our affected characters and I can’t play any personal storyline (>lvl 25) with my other characters, because I don’t know if it will happen to them in the same way.
It restricts us and it’s not our fault.

In my opinion they fixed the invisible bags yesterday, because now there is another description as they had before (as I remember) and they do work how they are intended to work (not showing items to the merchant, not let you deposit or compact anything). Before yesterday I was able to do all that although I also used these invisible bags, so I guess, it must have been a bug before.
I now changed the bags (except for one, which shall remain invisible) and everything works how it should work.
Does it work if you drag the axe from the 4 slot bags / your crafted bag to the starter bag? Will it then be shown at the merchant?
Hmm.. so maybe it is not the fault of the “invisible” bags in my case, too. Because it worked fine until today, and now you too mentioned that you experienced that problem with the inventory not showing at the merchant since today.
So it is possibly a bug.
Do you have an invisible bag? Is that the crafted one?
Oh, that’s weird. They are indeed invisible bags, but it worked until today with these invisible bags and one of my other characters has also invisible bags and it still works for that character to sell from this bag.
But changing it to “normal” bags (on my main) did not solve the problem… and also it is strange that I cannot deposit the collectibles anymore and compact my inventar.. that worked also until today.. so what’s happening?
Maybe they fixed it today and they are now working how they should work? Humm..
I will try to change them again and look if that does effect anything..

I just noticed something weird. Since today my bags do make some troubles.
I cannot sell anything which is in my crafted bags to the merchant. Things which are in the starter bag are sellable. The merchant will take the items, when I drag them from the crafted bag to my starter bag (then they will show up to be sellable).
Another thing is that I cannot deposit all my collectibles and compact my inventar anymore. To deposit them I have to right-click every single item.
I tried to solve the problem by using other bags and I changed the bag order, but that didn’t help.
All my other characters do not have problems with the bags, just my main (which is very annoying!).
Did anyone else notice something similar?
How can I solve this?

Yeah, that’s weird. I just discovered that it is fully working for me now (gem display, bag search/ display, armor preview), also when I open it normally.
Sometimes I have that problem, too. We talked about this in that thread:

But as I found out just a few minutes ago, if you open your bag and do a right-click on a specific item that would be sellable and choose to sell it at the trading company, it will open the Trading Company window and load that item/ all your stuff (really fast), so you are able to sell them.
In that case my gems (and the armor preview) are displayed, too.
Does that work for you?
Thanks for your help, but as I bought my computer almost solely for gw2 there is not much on it.
I think the full-version of Win 7 needs a lot of capacity, because since installation of Win 7 the computer needs a long time (compared to the pre-installed Win 7 trial) to start the shut down (and shows the window where you can force to shut down), before it goes sleepy. ^^
I checked my start ups and there is no rubbish in there I could disable.
So as it is my birthday today (:D) I will invest in 4 GB more, because the other requirements are met by my computer system quite well.
I just thought there could be another solution for this problem mentioned above, because sometimes it works perfectly and sometimes not.
This is hearsay so take it for what it is worth but, Yes it is likely a RAM issue. From what I understand the TP operates as a separate proccess in your applications. If the game/other programs are sutilizing most or all of your RAM , the TP will have a hard time operating and populating your inventory on the list of sell my stuff. The workaround would be to simply right click the item in your inventory(must be in your bags not bank or collectables) and chose sell at trading post.

But it is annoying that sometimes it works perfectly fine and sometimes not.
I think RAM should make everything a little bit faster (loading LA for example ^^)

I am not sure, whether it is connected to parts of our computer systems (like graphic card or RAM), because sometimes it works for me and sometimes not. I do not change my system during that time.
I did not realize a pattern when it works and when not.. I will keep an eye on that!
(Just remember once it did work after I restarted the game, but that does not help each time.)
The Black Lion Trading Company window does include the gem shop. Can you test it if your other tabs/ pages are affected by that, too?
So just when you open the Black Lion Trading Company click through the tabs (especially the first which shows the gem shop, you can have a look at it without purchasing anything) and tell me, if everything is displayed how it should be (your ingame money displayed in the upper left corner → should not be blank; the ability for armor preview → should load your character in the preview window and show the selected armor) ..
Sometimes I have that “Sell your stuff” problem, sometimes not.
But mostly it will not work.
Same as the preview for armor/ accecossires in the gem shop. Most of the time it does not work on my characters whereas my bf on his laptop does not have that problem at the same time. (So it must be my computer system or my choosen options or whatever.)
But then there are times it does work and shows me the preview, and my stuff to sell and gold/ silver/ copper from my bag (in the upper left corner.. sometimes this field is blank, too).
I am not sure what to do, though it is surely not wanted that way, but it does not really affect that I cannot play.. but I would often not be able to trade, and if I would like to do so, that would be very annoying.. same thing if I wanted to buy something (on the fashion page, where you can preview and buy armors, sun glasses and so on, the other pages work fine!) from the gem shop, I would have to wait until it decides to show me the preview, which does not really happen that much..

I think I remember it did work without that colored face in the previous stress tests.. and a lot of people have complained about that before.

Some mentioned it happened after another patch came..
Did you choose that face and it was displayed normally at the beginning?
Because when you try to choose it now in the character customization it is already shown with that bug…
If that’s so, that sounds annoying and could happen to anyone and any choosen face!
Yeah, please let us the option to display or hide them. I really like my characters without helmets, masks and so on..
It should not be that difficult to implement this?

I know it is not like the original gw, but there the necromancer was very nice to play. It felt like a real necromancer.. how you could use the dead corpse and so on..
The number of minions were restricted, too, but that didn’t matter, because you could be powerful with your handful of minions.
They also had a very useful minion list (hp bar)!!! Why has that in gw lately added feature not been implemented in gw2, too?
The minions themselves had a reasonable AI: they (almost always) attacked foes near you (I think that is how they should work, the ranger pet can do that!!)
They also lived long enough to be of any use and benefitted you.
Has anyone else a problem with it or should we ignore that we do not know that many and detailed things about the skills?
I wonder what is happening, too.
At the moment we (my bf and me) cannot really play how we would like to play (doing some PVE and at an appropriate level doing the personal storylines (together if me make the same choice)). As it affected two of my characters I am not able to do their storylines anymore. (And so are my bf’s character that play with mine, though he isn’t affected by this bug, I slow him down!!!) On the other side what will happen to the rest of my characters if they reach this point of storyline?
So all I can do now is just exploring and this kind of stuff, which is still nice, but I also want to proceed with my characters and that’s not happening as long as we do not know how and if that will be fixed?

I want to support others (heal or rezz them) during battle and I want to do some damage. But it happened sometimes that I am not allowed to get credit or rewards/ chests. Like I would have done nothing during the fight, just stand around?
I also noticed that you will get more loot if you do (more) damage on many foes than on concentrating on one opponent and than kill another one. So an elementalist with meteor shower gets more drops than a water focussed elementalist or a thief with pistols?
That means if you want adequate loot you have to hit/ kill a lot of opponents in a short time. (Sometimes in big events this is not possible because the mobs are killed before you can do anything :-D)
And that leads to the point that you are forced to play in a certain way, which you maybe do not want to…
I thought we can play however we want to play and are all treated and rewarded the same way. It does not seem so…

We did that fight yesterday and everything went fine.. how can that be?
Where should that be shown that we joined the order?
So just to compare: We (level 45) did complete a heart near the wyrmblood waypoint in Dredgehound Cliffs and received therefore 1s 95k. If we now want to travel to Destiny’s Reach, we would have to pay 1s 36k.
And you do not travel just once, because the world is really big (which is very good at other points!).
So sometimes more money is spent than you can earn and save for things like cultural armor and so on..
How much gold or silver do you have when a waypoint costs 10 silver or more?
But I also think that already on Level 40 it is too high (~1s 50k) just to help one of my friends for a few minutes. (Sometimes first I help friend A, then friend B and after that friend C, most times they are all on different places, so you spend a lot of money just travelling.. does not make sense or fun.)
It is similar to the cost of repairing a damaged armor (1s – 2s), but these costs seem adequate.
Well, I need that fixed soon, too. :-(

Well, you could be right, Crono. And if we were experienced more, we would have done that in a few minutes.. Yeah.. but that is not the point for me. It was our first try and even after one (and a half) hour which we spend on that point of story we were not able to kill them and that did not make any fun.
The lovers were quite hard to seperate and not the debuffs killed us (maybe one or two times, but we died a lot time more).. we were nearly instantly killed by the attacks from these two lovely guys before we had the chance to do more than one or two hits to them.
However, for us it was not challenging or fun and we found it pretty hard for your first dungeon.

Obviously our definitions of fun are different.

There’s no real challenge to these dungeons far as I’ve seen, it’s just like banging your head against a wall until it finally crumbles.*
We experienced that, too. We tried to do Ascalon Catacombs and we decided to leave after we did not succeed in killing Ralena and Vassar. We tried that point for around one or one and a half hour and it was way too hard.
If you die (which you will, a lot), you just get back up and rejoin the fight to die again and rinse and repeat. No strategy required, just zerg stuff down and die alot. Booooring.
Yeah, you go into the battle, they hit you once (sometimes a second time) and you were killed. Then you have to start from the waypoint, go back and so on. In that time they just healed themselves again and again and again.
That didn’t make any fun!
It was our first try to do a dungeon (in storymode) and it was really annoying and demotivating.
By the way it makes you poor Everyone of us had to spent over 7 silver to keep the armor repaired during the fights.
Yes, it is not comparable to GW1, but there we enjoyed the dungeons and the challenge they gave us.
Same here, on my Thief, after doing the same last few personal quests (below 31) together with a friend, we had the next quest showing at 31 for a while – we went to Lion’s Arch but didn’t enter it, instead we went back to level up a few more days – during all this time it was still showing at 31. But last night I just happen to notice, after traveling again to Lion’s Arch, that my personal quest suddenly shows that my next quest is “On Red Alert” (48) !
I experienced that with my norn, too. I thought I would have had remembered it wrong, but she was for a pretty short time on 31, then the secret stealing bug was fixed and now she is on 48. Maybe there is no connection between the bug fix and the change, but it is quite strange that she was on her normal personal storyline and then was thrown to 48.
Unlike with my asura who made that progress of her personal storyline after they fixed stealing secrets. She was immediately directed to the 48 storyline.

No, like with the asura we joined our storyline at one part (Dredge Technology) and did it together.
But as my human mesmer did also experience the now fixed “secret stealing” bug, I think there might be a connection. Because every character of mine (who was at that point of the storyline with meeting her friend in lion’s arch) had experienced a problem/ bug then.
I thought so, but my norn did enter the instance alone and by herself.
I just discovered that my female norn ranger (30) has the same problem in lions arch!!! Same part of storyline (after she met her friend) and is now directed to Forewarned is Forearmed (48). She received the mail from Fergal for this storyline part.
Well, my bf did not once have a problem with that kind of bug, maybe it’s account-based?

this is the second bug in my personal storylines. First my human mesmer had the “stealing secrets” problem, which was solved after you fixed this.
Now my little asuran elementalist wanted to complete the same part of the story (meeting her friend in lions arch) and this bug occured.
PARTY:
Asura female Elementalist (26) – me
Asura male Elementalist (26) – bf, who was the party owner
HISTORY:
We had both made different choices until we decided the same thing which lead us both to “the bold new theory”. We both are now Durmand Priory novices.
Asura female (me): synergetics, infinity ball, Zinga, water, ferocity
Asura male (bf): dynamics, transatmospheric converter, Zinga, air, ferocity
QUEST:

your health is skaled depending in which area you are. for example if you are in a level 12 area you have more health (800) , if you are level 5 your health is less (400).
I love Minions (and being a minionmaster), so please make them (a little bit) stronger (they really do low damage, in case that they attack)!
