Sounds like monthy donation items for avatar websites. Just no. There’s enough rng in the game as is, the last thing we need is to blindly waste gems on mystery items with no clue what may come from it.
About dungeons, do we have LFG tool now?
Not in game, no. But there is gw2lfg.com which is fantastic. Finding dungeon groups is ridiculously easy with it.
In Snowden Drifts there’s a group of Norn called the Mannerheim Steadholders. They don’t make awesome orchestra music, but I’m sure if you get them drunk enough they’ll try.
Actually, now that I’m searching the forums, it looks as though the free deluxe upgrade is only for purchases through the Anet site.
Unless you’re purchasing gems, the BLTC will never directly charge your credit card. I’m not sure how they have the system set up but I imagine that any serial codes redeemed before January 7th will automatically be upgraded to the Deluxe Edition. If you find it doesn’t, then send a ticket in. I’m sure Anet will have no problem sorting it out.
Purchasing it from the gem store is only for those users that have already been playing and have the basic edition.
I have changed my home world twice with no fee. Anet originally planned to charge for server transfers but they have yet to roll that out. In game it shows that a fee of 0 gems will be charged.
Welcome to Tyria! c:
Keep in mind your home world choice is not permanent. The most populated servers are difficult to get into (Tarnished Coast, Jade Quarry, Stormbluff Isle) as they’re almost always of full status, but they’re going to be your best bet for a large in-game community. I’m not sure about after you initially make a character and choose a home world, but the wait time between switching servers is 7 days and server transfers are currently free. If you’re interested in roleplaying, TC has be unofficially dubbed the rp server by the players. However, as I’m a TC player myself, I can say that there’s also plenty of non-rpers if you’d rather not. If you see a full server, other players have suggested checking at very early morning hours to see if there’s space.
Maybe it’ll be for the three minis that you still can’t buy yet? That would be cool.
Mini Tixx, Toxx, and Airship Workshop please. <3
I didn’t get any cogs from toypocalypse.
Wow that’s a lot of boxes. x.x Is it possible to get the Unbreakable Choir Bell from the personalized gifts received from the bell game?
I have heard tells of people getting them from the personalized boxes as well. So in short, yes.
I guess I’ll be doing a lot of bell playing, then. I can’t for the life of me do the jumping puzzle (a combination of lack of skill and a slow-reacting computer). I’m sorry after all that you never managed to get one, or the two you should have by all right received. :c

I’ve got my human guard and asuran ele all decked for Wintersday. c:
my god your asuran doesn’t need any official wintersday gear…
Isn’t she just wonderful? ;u; I wish I had a more white color that wasn’t matte… But Tarnished Silver works for me. c:
I wonder… As I look around I see a ton of new acronyms. Would anyone be willing to explain the more widely used ones briefly?

An entire thread about them. c:
There’s a lot of great stuff about this game. It’s so gorgeous, it really is. There’s plenty weapon choices and play style freedom with every class so you can do a lot with anything; you’re not forced to be a tank or dps. Exploring doesn’t get old, and it’s a lot of fun trying to reach vistas and complete jumping puzzles. You’ll even open a chest at the end of the puzzles. Sometimes there’s some really nice stuff in there. c: Dungeons actually require some skill to run through, plus they’re pretty good for money making.
Sadly, the population of the lower level areas is currently lacking somewhat. A good portion of players have maxed characters and are busy on those. You’ll come across people helping with events and whatnot, though. It’s difficult to find yourself a guild with social people, but there are some out there. Unless you’re a market wiz, making gold can be fairly difficult as well. You can usually always afford gear and waypoints, though, unless you’re prone to spending. xD
Gaile, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to you and everyone working hard on resolving the issue. This community is very hard to handle when everyone starts getting upset but you’re keeping your head up and your attitude down— not something many people can do. It’s impossible to make everyone happy given the many errors with not only the event but also the distribution script.
I’m not sure how the script was programmed, but I imagine the simplest means would have been to go with a T/F method. Single out the day, isolate the players logged in during the event, and go through a list:
“Logged in 00:00 ~ 00:00: T
Lost Shores map: T
Pre-final Karka events: T
Final Karka event: T
Looted chest: F”
Anyone that would have met that criteria should have been entitled to a chest yesterday. That doesn’t help those that were disconnected prior to the final battle but spent hours running the events anyway. Those logged out during the chain should have been added to a list for further investigation.
Additionally, the chests shouldn’t have been mailed out immediately upon being deemed qualified. Instead, their names should have been compiled and the boxes sent out in large batches. It seems like the same method would be a fix to the current issue as well. Add one more criteria to the list:
“Mailed reward: F”
and those meeting ALL criteria would be sent their due items.
I’m no programmer, but I do know scripts such as this are possible. I’m not saying it would necessarily be perfect but it looks like however the script had been previously written had a major error somewhere.
I hope this works out for everyone at Anet and the community. Keep doing what you’re doing, Gaile. This would be far worse without you talking with us.
Gaile, there’s a thread in the General Discussion forum that’s gathering information on the distribution. It’s asking players whether they attended, looted, and received the mail. There’s several people stating they not only looted the chest, but also got the mail as well.
The first report of it in the thread is here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Ancient-Karka-Box-Survey/first#post943269
I hope this will help you gather more information. (:
Attended / looted / no mail
people who attended and looted-got it again
people who attended and didn’t loot-got it
people who a attended and didn’t loot-didn’t get it
people who didn’t attend-got it
people who didn’t attend-didn’t get itI FEEL LIKE I’M TAKING CRAZY PILLS
oh ya and i didn’t get mine in the mail and i attended
Not everyone that looted it the first time got it again. I know several people, including myself, that played through the event and didn’t receive a box in the mail. There was probably an issue with the script. Well. There’s obviously an issue with it.
Are you two on EU servers?
for those of you who got the chest, what part of the world are you in?
for those of you who havent yet, same question.perhaps this could solve the mystery as to why some people are getting it now and others arent.
It may also relate to the email address used for the game. If they’re going in alphabetical order, and there’s an enormous userbase, then those with emails that start with letters later in the alphabet are going to have to wait quite a while.
Not sure, though. I looted the chest during the event so I’m not expecting to get any mail.

When you put your mouse over it, you’ll see an arrow in the corner. Click the arrow and drag it down. It should work~
One of my favorite cloth armor skins by far is the Winged set. For females, at least. It doesn’t look so good on my Asuran elementalist. :c
