Yeah, I never was a Legendary weapon fan, just the Bifrost was the nicer to me but once I saw Zenith staff I was like.. “No honey, no way I’ll spend 1 second of my life farming for that Bifrost” I simply think Zenith Staff >>>> Bifrost and really look better than it on male characters too

The funny fact is that to make 500 AP you need like 2-3 weeks and to get those 500 AP from HoM GW1 you needed like 1 year of totally nerdly dedication.
You really want to complain about that?

From what I’ve seen levelling all my chars:

Easiest:
Ranger because of pet tanking, ranged attacks, fast kill.
Warrior because of high dps and resistance even alone.
Necromancer because if you’re in need you have death shroud, lots of minions, and the highest HP a character can have from starting.

Normal:
Guardian, it can easily do everything, but you’ll need a build focused on Greatsword or you’ll need days to kill mobs. At least you can survive and you’re always wanted in farming groups, dungeons etc
Elementalist,if you play alone you need 1000 eyes to watch around you. If you play with someone else, it’s really easy and enjoyable due to the many spell you can choose. It’s very useful in parties

Hell: Mesmer. I didn’t even levelled it till 80. It’s pain even with greatsword and even playing it with another person. I would love to play it but seriously, made me so sick! And I absolutely hate the sound of GS skill no.1 =_=

I didn’t try Thief or Engineer so I cannot tell you anything about

Well, staff is beautiful and match perfectly with my Ele =^_^=

My first char was a necro, I tried all build, lvld 80, map completition and didn’t enjoy that at all. Then, I tried Guardian, it’s super for party, but I wanted a damage dealer more enjoyable than necro, then I made Ele and War.
War is OP, really high damage, but…Ele! OOhhh… Ele… is a really complete character! I do really LOVE it.
So please, believe a person that made other chars too, and still prefer Ele above all!

What people don’t understand is that this game is called GUILD WARS 2, not “NEW GAME 1” so it’s totally normal that fans of Anet that played the 1, get a little reward in the 2.

You simply don’t get it. Is there anything, anything at all, you do in GW2 that affects your game in GW1? If not, then GW2 is a different and new game that only basically shares a theme with its predecessor.

I bought GW1+GW2, but only want to play GW2 since GW2 simply has a far better game mechanic and interface. If you can show me how to achieve the 50/50 HoM through the GW2 interface only, then there is a reason for those points being rewarded in GW2 – if not, there is no reason at all for GW1 players to get any free achievement points in GW2, since they did not achieve those in GW2!
They already got their “loyalty” rewards! But instead of being grateful they already got stuff to show that no GW2-only player can display, some even claim that having spent time in the past playing another game entitles them for even more and more free rewards. Pure greed – disgusting!

ANet should really change the AP system, even though I am repeating myself:
- No AP for HoM
- Max cap for daily monthly (like Hobby Dungeon Explorer and Agent of entropy)
- re-open historical stories in private instances for new players to both follow the story and get the missed AP

Why this thing came out now? Because AP rewards. You didn’t get any of the title from HOM completition and in GW2, you cannot have them at all. You get them only with GW1 Hom. But now, it’s the day to whiiiiiiiiiineeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I don’t have to play a “2nd game” to get achievement for the “1st one” it’s simply ridiculous XD It’s like I color my hair red because I wanted to be redhead in a photo when I was 6 years old. You know you’re saying things that don’t work at all. Otherwise it’s normal that Anet permits players to work in GW1 for getting some special skin items, achievements, title for GW2.

Anyway I simply cannot understand why if “it’s the same, if you cannot have a high percentage of AP without HOM you dont deserve it” doesnt work “au contraire”

You say in your original post that you cannot get any AP at all when that is impossible- you get AP for pretty much anything in the game- so you must have some?
How many do you want?

I don’t want free AP at all Morrigan, I simply said that people should enjoy their AP because there are person (like me and many others) that will never get some achievement (like WvW, run race etc..) because of high lag that is going always worse with every massive patch ^^

I played Guild wars 1 since launch and to get 50/50 (i didn’t, got only 46) was hell and you had to play only dedicating yourself to that.

I can’t agree totally with you. I’m going for the 2nd 100% map exploration and I really really enjoy exploring areas even if I already did once with my first character. When I cannot reach a place or a far waypoint with my alt I just give up and play my character normally. If there are special events, I do them with my main, with no problem.

Otherwise would be nice have a free waypoint discovered in each map, maybe a special item dropped by a certain Champion (like one of those people don’t usually farm) or in a certain map (at the moment I would say Southsun, to mantain people farming there too) and that item would give those free waypoints, or 5 waypoint you can choose each time, I dunno, something like that :P

I meant, the Hard Mode in Dungeon that ask for a 8person party because its TOO difficult even for 8 I really miss those 8 persons parties.

Two weeks ago I had a very nice day with drops and exotics (2 from a group of mob + 1 from another group, rares and lodestones) and tried Mystic Forge, got The Dusk in 25 tries.
My boyfriend at the first 2 Dragon Coffers dropped since launch of this update got the Mini and the Ticket.
And we were VERY very unlucky in this game so far!
I would suggest you to not spend money for Mystic Forge until you have a superlucky day like I had

I was wondering if you guys are working for the Hard Mode in PvE, like GW1.
See, many people complain about the lack of fun doing events/hearts/dungeons that are too much easy for them (even at low levels, you can do all hearts alone). Maybe once you completed 100% map on a character you should be able to enter a similar map where you can do hearts, events etc with a party or at least 2-3 people in Hard Mode. Would be also nice to drop a little better than normal way. This would implement party groups and fun of those people which have finished map and cannot find fun in any other way. And maybe Hard Mode Dungeon for 8 character?

I must say ANET Team also that a possible fix about the problem of crash during Fractals would be very very VERY appreciated by all fractals players (and we know they’re MANY, actually) cause it’s impossible that, if your internet line crashes for like 5 seconds you got disconnected and you cannot return in that dungeon, maybe you were at Jade Maw after 1.30h of hard playing with some noobs and used also a repair canister. That is not correct for your players, Anet, and you should know it because it’s disrespectful for people that bought games, gems and keep talk with friends that GW2 is a really good game. And it is, but you cannot simply “evade” with “V” key this Bug; it’s a big part of the entire production you made with Fractals and makes people unhappy because maybe they can only spend 2 hours per day of their free time and they want to do, at least, that Daily bonus chest and they can’t. They simply can’t. And you know what’s the problem? That people don’t blame internet connection for a 1min crash because we all know that can happen, but blame the Company that, knowing that the problem EXIST doesn’t do anything to help their players.

I also want to agree with the LFG system, it’s totally useless, not even in level 5 events I would use it first of all cause people don’t know how to use it, second we cannot write anywhere what we’re searching party for. If you see a person running in Lion’s Arch with a LFG GW2’s system activated, would you stop by, whisper him and ask him what he’s looking for or you just go afk watching your facebook page? Please be sincere. In fact, many people started using a non-official site for making party but the fact is that only 30% of gw2 population knows about it otherwise all will be so much easy! That site saved us all (and our free time, remember?), especially for dungeons and fractals parties.

Another thing, about levels. I appreciate ascended gears and all the farm around it. It’s normal that we cannot have all in a little time and I personally don’t like rushing too much cause I have a work, a family to cook for and my hobbies. But unfortunately GW2 is one of them so I’m not lv 50+ on Fractals like others but I only achieved the 24 and I’m pretty satisfied of that. Otherwise I see many people looking for low levels 1-10 parties that cannot find anyone cause they’re already 10+,20+30+, or maybe you know 10- parties usually don’t know many “how to do” in dungeons and they spend 2hours for something that, for a lv 24 like me, it’s really easy, and they get frustrated and it’s normal. Otherwise guildies cannot always help other guildies with lv 1-2-3-4-5-2-4-3-5-1-4-6-1-2 cause someone is on now, later he’s offline and so on..so they MUST be able to afford those dungeon alone with a good LFG system (first), a non crashing dungeon (unacceptable, for me) and a way to simplify things like Darkever said before, maybe for 1-5 lvl and 5-10 lvl then STOP. From 10+ ALL stays normal. So you’ll have more people at higher level that have a little chance to enjoy fractals and not suffer the ugly thing that happens when you’re alone, noob at first level and with some crash on the back and you maybe can be more appreciated too. You can also, in my opinion, put the first ascended gears ( and also agony too of course) after lv 20 in this case, so people don’t easy farm lv 10, but at least they start know how to play those Fractals and form teams, know people etc..

In conclusion, I know I maybe was a bit rude but it was a thought choice to write here and I really hope someone from our Anet Team will read this really important thread and maybe gives us an answer.

I was in team for Fractals and we saw that Seal one is bugged at the end, no mobs spawned and we also tried dieying without any resultate. After the 4th death with no mobs for hitting the Seal, spawned near the Boss (which started to give 4 stacks of agony at lv 22) almost 15 mobs (that respawned too) and made almost impossible to hit the Boss and get a little chance to have the hammer.
Since another one dc’ed and cannot relog into Fractal we wiped at the last Fractal. That makes no sense and would like to know if someone of you made this Seal (at around mine lv, 22) and some suggestion to play it at the final end, until I hope, someone can fix this terrible bug.

Yes I have the same problem. Noticed @ Jade Maw in Fractals. Our party almost wiped cause of jump that doesnt work. We were lucky with mesmers and portals.

Why you don’t fix the fact that on Fractals if someone dcs cannot re enter in Fractal?

I personally like Costume Brawl at the moment (not for more than 1h tough).
But I do think this will not evolve in the future because of many aspect, if they will not evolve too.
The main thing is that, when Halloween event will finish, there will be no Big Cauldron in L.A. to transform people and they will not have the same rights like those who bought the witch costume and can fight against friends, gaining title.
Also, it will depends on people and I don’t believe that most witches-costumes’ buyers will go in L.A. in the future, spam the Cauldron and wait someone to fight that Costume Brawl with.
Also again, tonics drops in Trick-Or-Treat’s bags is low for me, I actually opened 160+ Personalized ToT and found 6 tonics.
If things about Costume Brawls won’t change it will not be funny for all, but only for those who spent real money on costumes and this is weird .

Hi everyone,
I would like to know how is possible since 7th october’s patch I have a huge lag, even in low lvl missions, with all my characters. I have usually like 60-65 fps and then, game stops for 10-15 seconds. Yesterday I had an error that said it was a connection with network problem. I have no internet connection issues, can browser and use skype normally as usual, can play other games with no lag.
What can this be? Seems I have this problem only with Guild wars 2 and, unfortunately, 10-15 secs lag don’t permit me to play expecially with events or high lvl maps.

I don’t want mounts in this game. Reasons are many, most of all because players with mounts will not join events, will not care so much about dead people and would reach too easily waypoints and points on map. There are many waypoints that let you reach all locations in maps and yes, complaining about their costs can be a problem at lv 60-70. When you reach lv 80 you can afford that price easily and have a way to farm lot of money in the game. If you usually die too fast and use to ress, that cannot be a technic problem, but just yours, about your armor and expecially about your build. So yeah, I still don’t want mounts in game.

I usually played a lot of alts in all the mmorpg i played, even GW1 too and mostly can’t decide which one is my favourite or which one is the “alt” one :P
This time I created my favourites characters but I only levelled my Necromancer to lv 80 and going to work on it. Surely when I’ll get bored about farming for Exo I will play one of my alts :P

I must agree with those that suggest you not playing MMORPG.
Seems you cannot be ’’happy’’ of Guild Wars 2 in those news that create the really entertainment of this game. I played GW1 for 3500+hours in 6 years, with 2 year of stop.
You cannot accept the fact that GW evolved too and tried the very best for an MMORPG. With lot of success.
If you and your friends can’t enjoy that, that will not be a problem Anet should resolve, surely they can improve game, but not change it for a very very very small set of persons that should play Cooking Mama on Wii
