I know it’s only August but since I would like to buy the skin of Halloween 2012 Greatsaw Greatsword I don’t know if it would be better to buy it now at 220g ish or wait if they will put them again in the next Halloween 2013.
In the old GW1 every year festivity had a different weapons/hats but with all these changes I don’t know if it’s better to buy now or not.
Sigh.

Okay, I need a help.
I’m always trying To have all achievements, all events, all weapons I want (almost all) and I really enjoyed very much the Living stories ArenaNet gave us.
I’m an ex Gw1 hardcore player and with these two last Living stories I noticed that they stress me too much. I try To hurry, always, because we all like To complete Our achievement. Now we have free contents every two week but, If you considerate work, family and real life, you’ll NEED two weeks To complete this, and have no time at all To do all other things, like exploration, level up, dungeons, etc. 45minutes of pure farming, where people prefer To farm Aetherblades Champions and Let the Invasion Fail because they want their loot from them; and If i have Only few hours per evening To play and (for example) log in at 21.15 i lost 45 minutes of playing because eventi already started and I cannot enter it anymore . And the next Invasion maybe is in a map I’ve already made. Of course, in these days people that maybe have already made their achievement Keep farming Invasion instead of be free for events or dungeons. Plus all these drops ruin the economy. Now 100g is nothing for farmers and is still huge amount of money for a normal player. But I felt already bored of this living story, it don’t gave us anything but farming and once in game you will find Only farmers they will stop To play too because there’s none To sell things people don’t already have dropped with their farming. Also, I dont think farmers will buy gems cause they will already have a massive gold To transform in gems. I Just want to know if all living stories will be like this, or we gonna have something everyone can play easily and with more fun, less stress and less “omg new patch I MUST do it!!” (for a tonic, or a mini). I don’t know If it’s Only my feeling, but If we continue this way I must have a break from gw2 or my eyes and mind will hurt even more.

My first character was a Necromancer Human and I made with her the 100% map and lv 36 FotM. Then I created a Guardian Human that currently became a “male” (i’m a girl) because I wanted a big human aggressive male char and norn didn’t fit the aesthetic I wanted. Then I have an Elementalist Sylvari that is super adorable, a Ranger Human with sword and warhorn that hits very bad, a Mesmer Asura superpink and Warrior Human I use mostly for Arah and other dungeons.
I don’t like very much norn and charr character, I think I’ll made Engineer Charr when I’ll be very bored >o<

Just watch lowest prices for rare weapons (To lv 72-80). Before this hard-farming prices were 17s and If you were Lucky 16. Now it’s 20.50s Only for few item, Then we’re already 22-23s. This farming is terribile and ruin the game. Expecially those farming in Orr. They dont even care about dead people and Keep rushing To another Champion. Really, What game permits that?

I’m italian but I have To agree with others. Our language isn’t the Only one that is not present in gw2 and also, If Anet puts money and efforts on translation or any kind of support in any “new” language maybe they will have less time for working on contents, upgrades, etc. Even If I don’t speak well english I Would not click on “italian language” in the game options, it helps practicing :P and it’s also normal in 2013 talk and speak in english in a mmorpg

Aye. Dear Devs, I lag scarily with all those people and sometimes I cannot even loot the chest I fought for (got 20-30secs delay). Even Gauntlet is a mess for slow connection due to the events farmed down there. I’m a bit angry I cannot farm and gain loot&money as others (they gain also 100g per day) or have my Gauntlet achievement done because of this organization. Next time don’t put places like “open world”, it must be your problem to permit us all to play normally, because not all the people plays from NYcity center. Thank you.

Does it mean that if I have created a Character in one if my Account Slots on the first day but deleted that one by now, I will not get the Gift? Or do they mean Account by Character?

If you deleted it you won’t gain it until your oldest actually character hit 1 year old

The funny fact is that people can actually spend money for an unworthy 800gems unlimited salvage kit and whine about 3 birthday presents. They could simply don’t give us anything like in other Mmorpg, you should realize that and just accept it.

Superquote to this. Only a very lazy person (like those who open Trading post at 3 meters from the NPC one) could buy it. There is no reason to do it. Just buy 3-4 Basic Salvage kits instead of 1 per time and use them when your inventory is full. Problem solved. Also I’d like to know a person that will want to lost 25g for that item +3copper each use. If someone bought it, could explain to us WHY you did?

I think I use titles based on character too =) With my pro warrior I use Legend Of the Mist, with Ranger (i use most for dungeons) Dungeon Master, with my puppy pink asura Apprentice Toymaker or Miniature Collector and so on with all other character

I cannot even play in Crown Pavillon, neither in the events area, nor in the Gambit one when event is down of there, I totally lag and have 20secs of delay (I mostly lost alla chest and drops). We already checked with support and it’s not my connection or computer.
If you remove culling this game will be unplayable for me.. I can just imagine how will be to my guildies that already play in low graphic settings.

I suggest you to go read at least patch notes about character’s skills in the forum and maybe write here which class do you usually prefer to play. From december to now there were so many good implementation that is almost impossible write them all here ^^

Maybe you’ve watched some old video and it’s quite normal that, at the start of the game, prices weren’t that high like now because none had any amount of gold. 60G in the very first months of the game was like 600g now, there weren’t all these method to farm money and was (in my opinion) more difficult to earn them.

2) Laurels are the most alt-friendly things I’ve ever seen in this game. Laurels, Commendation, Badges of Honor, Tokens.. you can gear up so easy if you have already a main.

3) That’s true, but suppose those people who has like 10-20 alts (I saw in this forum one talked about 44 characters total, lol) and drop a rare with every char? Did you think about how much will they worth in the TP, or also ectos?

4) Same as point 1. You want bonuses? Go show us that character has a right to have them.

5) Do you really think you’ll need celestial gear/armors on all your alts? I find it usable only for elementalist.

6) This was to prevent people like you “that wants ALL and NOW” farming for hours CoF path1 and leave a total of 24 more paths (not included stories) unplayable by players.

Another way : Waypoints discovery.
Equip skills that give swiftness and blocks, and run between waypoints.

Plus you will be happy to have all waypoints available when you reach 80.

By the way I don’t suggest you to go to Queen’s Pavillon at lv 30. There’s mob lv 84+.

Fact is only one imo: high damage ever=fastest kill ever=less damage taken. Even with a 5 guardian party you are more in risk than a great zerk party.

Crafting can be really expensive. But if you wait few days, maybe some mats will be lowering their prices cause it’s easy to drop them during this Living Story.
Craft to 400 a profession can give you up to 10 levels and each profession costs 7-13 golds

Farm events in low level areas and then go hit bad in the new area with all experience buffs

Actually if you try to walk on the Ice you ARE slowed

I’m from Aurora Glade server and there are plenty of people doing all events also in Orr etc.. It’s normal that if you going to check those maps the first days of a new Living Story, you will find less people/almost none

I moved from my ex server Ring of Fire because even if it said “High” there was no people doing anything.. maybe you just need to move to another server too ^^

I gave up with that, cause I change a lot my pets for dungeons etc and I cannot really spend my time with that.

I have some problems with camera while doing certains jumping puzzles or when I enter little houses and so.. it really disturb me. Also some skills are so lightning but I red they’re gonna fix this tomorrow so I’m pretty ok with that
Also I would like that ranger have better traits cause I really think some are totally useless and you cannot change anything better

I don’t know, the hits are impressive but very slow. With 1h sword + warhorn(or axe or dagger) I think you can hit more.

Yeah, I also play a 1h sword with my ranger but it’s really difficult to evade, since you able to do it between 2nd and 3rd “skill” of #1 skill.
I would they fix it, at least to run while fighting cause all melee classes can do it.

I absolutely love my Guild wars 1 and 2 accounts. I would never leave them, because I really grown with this Game (expecially Gw1). That means a lot to me, I feel attached so much to my characters.

Before fix Dailies and Monthly gave a lot more of achievement points. Also playing all living stories helped

I played necromancer, monk and ranger and Guild wars 1 and I’ve created them all to see the differences: now I can say my main is Guardian. I totally love it and love also her heavy armor. I do like also medium t3 for female ranger with that sexy coat. So yummy! w
I’ve created also a Necromancer on which I put the “sailor” light armor just because I’m a biiiiig fan of Sailor Moon

I’ve played in Ring of Fire since launch and now in Aurora Glade since April and never had, never, such problems with people

Well my first character was a Necromancer and I enjoyed it with all map exploring, jumping puzzles and all the others activities and festivities events they gave us. Then, Fractal arrived and I really enjoyed that at first.. Then they felt me in a burrow of: farming, farming, rares, levels, exotic, golds etc etc..
After 1 month of full immersion in FotM I left Guild wars 2 because it started To Be more an obsession than a game and I was never happy with drops or People.
I came Back, After four months and i realized that FotM was not really What I like from this game. I can stay 5 minutes watching panoramas or a butterfly, so I made some other character and I’m levelling them slowly, having fun with boyfriend and doing whatever We want: pve, pvp, wvw, or also.. Nothing at all! The Best thing is that I found two precursor Just enjoying game, one of those with a lv 30ish character
