I like WORKING hard at PLAYING this game; I have plenty of fun and amusement, when I achieve something I feel like i have really earned it.

If you don’t find the game FUN then this type of game isn’t for you, don’t play it!!.

Same as saying, the game is too hard so it must change because I’m too lazy to work for my stuff. I want everything in 3 months, stuff everyone else if they get bored because the game is too easy.

If people want to play an easy to complete game, go play ofline games and complete them in 3 days, others like me enjoy the chase.

lol i put another 9g in the bank yesterday, and i honestly can’t remember how I got it, it’s that easy, all i did was 2 dungeon runs (working towards the all dungeon path achievement), 1 fractal daily in hope of a skin and 100% map completion (working on 100% world completion).

I did a bit of everything, nothing that I would class as a grind or boring, I had fun and still made plenty of gold.

I did the math based on my current rate of personal gather for charged lodestones, and it will take me 16 years at the rate of 0.5 a month from “just playing the game” to gather 100. Infinite light requires a lot more than that. Of course, by that time, the relevance of this game will be long gone.

lol 0.5 per month, do 1 fractal run and you would have the gold to buy 2 (1-2 hours having fun)

Its a great game, if you all honestly dont like it go back to GW1 or WoW?

Not everyone wants the END GAME armour/weapons within 3 months, thats just sad.

When I first got to lvl 80, i spent a good few weeks farming Orr, plinx and the tunnels as i called them but that soon got boring, as you said I was doing it SOLO.

I love fractals for one reason, team work. You either communicate and work as a team, or fail. Its that simple.

what would be a nice option maybe is buy/earn and upgrade infusion slot for your current gear maybe?

@OP, If you dont like fractals I kind of see your point to an extent but, I like to think that I got my fractals stuff because I worked my kitten off in the fractals, instead of simply purchasing from TP.

I like some of the PvP, WvW armour but I wouldnt expect to get it without actually doing some PvP/WvW if you understand my point.

“archaeology” in WoW was seriously more boring than anything iv done in GW2

As a none GW1 player im curious as to what you actually did in the game that differs in a way that makes GW2 grindy and GW1 not? Was GW1 very easy?

I have almost 1200 hours played in GW2 and im no where near bored of the game, so much still to do, and new content all the time, what more could i ask for :P111

maybe this is the problem for some people, I only have one lvl 80 character so the game is not that costly to me, why try run 5 alts at once, level one and use that one to make gold and gradually lvl other alts if you wish.

Just curious, if you dont do anything, dungeons PvP what do you do with your time?

I do believe if people gave the fractals some time, learn them and do 2 runs per day, (about 2-3 hours) the gold turn around alone is worth this time.

Not to mention the skins and ascended rings

Nevermind the fact that every major weapon is 100% cosmetic and does not have any influence over the game outside that whatsoever. “Baaaaaww I need my legendary but it’s ‘unobtainable’”. So kittening what? How does a shiny skin stop you from enjoying the game?

I can farm 3-5g an hour on average in fractals lvl 26/30. Nothing is out of my reach.

Im working towards 100% world completion (94% atm), im working towards a legendary but in no hurry to get one. If everything was easy to get why bother playing, what you going to do once your have EVERYTHING.??

I must admit my PC i built myself about 2 years ago and was then top of the range gear, but now it getting old. I have to play WvW on low settings. Its fine on High until im in a big fight and then its like 3 FPS

The only consistant thing i’ve noticed with DC’ers is that the JP one, cant remember the name seems to be one of the worse for it.

I admit that I was a bit harsh in my other post about people that constantly DC during fractals, dungeons or just in general, I know this can’t be a nice experience for you all. I apologise as this was due to frustration.

1, I know this might sound obvious but have you checked that all your drivers are up-to-date, this is one of the main reasons anyone crashes during gaming.
2, Close any background unneeded software
3, Try temporarily disabling firewall/anti-virus to see if this might be the cause.
4, Does anyone know what ports GW2 uses for possible port forwarding.
5, Routers/Modems have firmware updates too (wouldn’t recommend this to none technical players thou, messing with firmware can kill your hardware if not done correctly)
6, Not sure what experience other have had with such software as Game Booster etc.

Has anyone every started a post asking people that constantly DC what hardware/software/windows they are using to help find out if anything common is obvious?

Any other suggestions that might help people?

Personally, and I know many people will not agree but MF should be removed from the game period. Why should a group carry the MF lechers so that they can get better loot, and the party do all the work?

The one idea I read somewhere on the forum was a good one also, make MF passive so at least the whole party can benefit for it?

For anyone that doesnt allready know for the monthly JP, you dont actually have to complete or even start the jump puzzle for it to count, just goto the JP start and that counts as one discovered.

agreed, i play with my inv. open constantly, and allways need to open it again every fractal.

Who would like to get DC? 99% of it is unintended and it’s not predictable.
Losing rewards at the end and also drops are already the hard punishment already.

Think you’re confusing narrow minded with common sense kid, i would never waste other peoples time if my connection was so bad. I mean come on, I’ve played GW2 for hours using my mobile phone 3G connection (tethering) without dissconections when my main internet was down, but I would not join a fractal with this connection for consideration of others.

I would suggest doing your personal story and crafting to get your self to level 80 before going dungeons.

10 daily chests = 10 pristine relics = 1 ring yes.

even fractals 10 and above

get to level 20 and you have 2 daily chest 10/20 only 5 days :P

Only problem for me now is that I have a bank full of rings, pristine relics, and fractal relics now

Hi, I know its not much but I have “The Crossing” that I planned to use for skin at some point, but its now unusable greyed out, with “Time Expired” in red, it was from halloween.

So does this mean all the stuff I got from Winters Day is also going to become useless after a few months, if so whats the point?

I know it sounds obvious but have you updated all your drivers lately, a lot of crashes are caused by out of date drivers. For some strange reason my old drivers used to crash on internet explorer often.

All i seem to do is moan about fractals and pugs on here, so for once I would like to thank my last pug group.

Awesome, lvl 26 daily in less than 50 minutes, fractal selections was nice to us, even the loot seemed better, group knowledge, team work and DPS best ever. No repair bill.

All in all my faith in pugs and fractals is back, still not the skin I wanted yet thou :P

p.s. fractal fairy can I have fractal sword or staff plz….

You like to be efficient but you pug, both are mutually exclusive.
No punishment for dcing should be implemented.

I personaly dont see a problem with this, if people are stupid enought to pay 15g for any dungeon then let them, but I can see people being tricked or even kicked at the last boss so that they can sell the spot.

If your selling your time to others I dont see a problem, i guess its how you go about it and how you advertise it that matters.

Anet is the one who should be “punished” for the Fractals DC issue.

They should have never released fractals if there was no way for players who dc to log back in. And on top of that they made completing fractals a requirement for the monthly achievement and the only real way to get ascended gear. No wonder people risk it.

Haven’t they fixed this issue yet? After all this time? Seriously?

Funny part is half the negative people here have probably never done fractals, and dont know how much of a problem this is, you cant just reconnect like you can in other dungeons or go get someone else. Most the time you have to start over, losing over an hour for nothing.

it happens sometimes, you will probably get a run of good luck soon, and get a few. Trust me when you do daily every day you will get sick of them, filling up your bank slots :p

keep tring, get to 20 and you can have 2 goes a day :P

But yes i know pugs are hard work sometimes.

Worth it for the loot alone if you get a good group, i make an average of 3-5g per run if i sell everything at lvl 26 or 30 daily.

If you want the glowing back peice this is hard work, not to mention the 500 glob of ectos and countless relics.

Makes sence when other waste hours because they have a kittenty connection yes. If i got disconnected from fractals all the time i would not join a group knowing i was going to be wasting there time too.

Its not hard, the hard part is finding 4 pugs with 10 brain cells between them. Most days i have awsome groups, go though dailys without a single repair bill, past 3 days cant even complete a daily its that bad.

I’ve done 6 attempts today at 26 or 30 daily, 6 times someone DC’ed.

It’s NOT the fractals, I’ve done over 500 fractals and DC’ed twice, once random whole group kick, and once i had total loss of internet for 24 hours.

Sorry for all you guys that DC and it not your fault but its getting stupid, buy a real connection.

Did one just and this guy DC’ed before end of 2nd fractal that we finished without him, he moaned that we continued on the 3rd without him after he just told us he DC’ed 3 times in past 2 days.

Use some brain cells and if you are having DC problems don’t join a group and waste other peoples time, sort out your crap.

Some sort of punishment is needed for consistent DC’ers and/or rage quitters.

3 in 24 hours and your blocked from fractals/dungeons for the next 24 hours, something like that.

Agreed the only people that fear a DPS meter are the ones that dont want you to know how much MF they got, im a support mesmer but I still do good DPS i hope, and if i dont i need to up my game, btw all good DPS meters in WoW also giave information on heals and other stuff not just DPS.

One that gave a good indication of everything a player does is useful.

For instance, I did a pug group today fractals 26 or something, 3 of the group where MF leechers, the group’s overall PDS was shameful. Wiped almost 3 times on water first stage. Wiped time and time again on other parts. In the end I gave up, and it takes a lot for me to give you.

MF on bosses that they keep wiping on, come on. If I had DPS meter I would of left group at the start of first fight, and for good reason.

Too many people are lazy leechers in this game, and at pressent there is no way of telling who is who.

I would like a DPS meter just for my self, so I can fine tune my own DPS, im a support mesmer and use alot of condition damage, damage of time. Basically the useless COMBAT tab doesnt give any real help at all.

This is why I wish they would allow a limited amout of addons, or sell attachments in TP, i would pay gold/gems for such thing, in this game you cant even change around the attack skill set.

1, I have no idea what you’re talking about Confused.

2, last boss on water fractal, agree boring.

3, I like that fractal, ok annoying at times yes, but use blocks and stability its ok.

3b I guess, as for the door and 30+ mobs, this stage is easy. 1 or 2 of you with spykits do the door, everyone else runs back out the way so you don’t get AOE’ed to death. Simple. End boss is not hard at all with 5 GOOD players, dodge the Agony is my hint.

4, Agreed I don’t know what the thinking about the even/odd chest was, but better without.

5, Worse when you’re typing and the ready screen appears before you know it you have multiple windows open. (also same with overflow popup)

6, I’m easy with this, skip or not don’t bother me. Fractals depending on which ones you get can already be long and boring.

7, Disagree, don’t know what level you are but you do know you can break down Shards for tons of lower mists mats.

8, That sound more like you’re not dodging the circles, agony isn’t usually the problem on the end boss.

At this point i would take a group of people with 2 brain cells to do my 26 daily, just did one and wiped on volcano. Next time round one player that I won’t say any names, dies again and again.

Finally we get to the last transition (25%) he dies again and decides he’s had enough, next thing i know, reset screen appears in the middle of my screen and we all get killed because we can’t see what’s going on.

My pug black list is getting bigger by the day, morons. I take it back give me a guard :P

GUI Panel / Interface

Will there ever be an update or add-on to the basic User Interface to allow a selected amount of Inventory items for quick use.?

Currently a lot of players now play with the inventory constantly open, but it’s a pain to reposition this every map change, fractals change etc.

This is how I play now, but I would really like this built in somehow, anyone else would like this feature.

That’s partly what I mean thou, I have never discriminated against any class. Every class if player correctly have their own way of putting 100% into the group and using their skills when needed.

My main is a Mesmer, sometime I get discriminated again for being a Mesmer, but mesmers can do so much for a group in a lot of situations. Portals, Time Warp, Arcane Thievery, Feedback plus many more if played correctly.

In a pug group I’m just happy to get a group of players that can play together regardless of race, and not die to often and more importantly don’t DC or rage quit :P
