I’d estimate around 80-90.

At the largest I’d realistically say it was over 50, close to 60 when they had the roaming parties join them even. Either way we never had close to that many inside the keep, and that “farming” they did in the lords room involved half of their group dying before being forced back to the outer.

So, you killed a leaderless ~10-man TC pug group (rarely all at once) that was at least half uplevels and randoms from RP/PvE guilds over and over again with a 7-man wvw guild group?

Seeing has how TC had the option to respawn dozens of times, and at times came at us with well over 15, I think it was interesting enough to watch, otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered to save the recording.. It was 5 VR and Sixes up until right at the end when one additional VR joined in.

It was all in good fun, but when a commander gets called in for 5 people (I spike him at the orb) it is pretty funny, even if it is a pug commander

Truth be told, during the actual farming, the commander came once, then moved to save NE tower from FA, where he spent the rest of the time I think? I left at some point so I have no idea. But the group that did the farming was bigger than 5. Its already been stated that it was anywhere from 6-8. Not to forget that another mag group rolled through at some point as well.

People only talk about him because he chest thumps about literally everything he does in game.

Well since TC lost to FA last week, it should be pretty evident that most of the WVW players are taking some time to celebrate the Holidays with their families now (as are most people). I wouldn’t get too worked up about the results this week.

A rivalry cant be forced with smack talk. Like when FA and TC were matched with eachother for months without a break? Thats what forms actual rivalries. Also SoR and BG.

You clearly just skipped EVERY other post I’ve made, and most others have made as well. I cant speak for other guilds or the rest of my server but we’ve seen lower attendance because of them. But yeah FA pulled extra hours and put in more work to earn the win this week.

Your definition of open field siege is quite different from mine. That’s just straight up sieging. They are protecting their catas and kitten.

By your definition, every ballista or ac dropped to protect a gate is open-field siege.

Open field siege is dropping an arrow cart when you are about to face an opposing zerg in the, ya know, open field to compensate for being bad players.

Just so you know.

When their siege is already down though? They just stood there with arrow carts for upwards of 20 minutes without anything to hit the keep.

I was impressed with FA last week but they really kicked it into overdrive this week. Those PPT driving float teams are really paying off and should be part of a primer for any server that wants to win despite a numbers difference.

FA didn’t do anything special, most of the main TC commanders aren’t commanding much and on TC this greatly effects population volume. I haven’t had the time to command myself lately and until recently I was pulling some crazy shifts here and there. That 20k lead wouldn’t be there if our regular Borderland/EB commanders were leading like we typically do. Congratulations to FA, enjoy your victory, if I get more time I hope to get some good fights in with you in future matches, always a fun fight!

It doesn’t matter how they pulled it off. It’s an impressive win and no post-mortem can detract from that.
FA and SoS have positive mojo momentum greater than TC’s right now. I think the time is coming (hopefully sooner rather than later) that all three servers stand an excellent chance of winning and simply the one that focuses on ppt is the one that wins (keep the scores close and keep those T3 scrubs out of the matches).

Speaking that durring NA the only noteworthy force SoS has is on EB or their own BL, I dont feel you guys could pull out the win without ocx/sea pulling overtime as well. Especially not if you have to compete with the monster that is FA’s NA after these transfers.
I’m not sure why, all I know is that this week TC was not in full swing, and FA was putting in extra effort. They earned the win for sure. What I DO know is that we had low numbers in guild events because of finals and the season. and I guess fairweather gonna fairweather.

Its been suggested before, and I’m taking the advice, and I suggest you do as well. Dont make any predictions or claims until after the holiday, when all three are back to full force.

Believe it or not, “tarnished tuesdays” were never actually much of a thing. It just happened to be the day most weekend warriors stopped playing. I think the term only stayed around because of how often we took the lead on those days… and because it rhymed.

We did that against JQ during leagues and they lost their freaking minds when our zerg busted out of inner hills right into their downlevelled karma train.

Of course you aren’t likely to see downlevels from either us or FA; but the concept is the same.

It’s a bit difficult when they randomly waypoint across 3 BLs and cap stuff. Vale camp to NW camp then somehow NE tower without taking NE camp then suddenly water camp. We literally spent 2-3 hours chasing their 30 with our 10.. Geez.

Sounds similar to TC on occasion. Its almost as if people are trying to be unexpected and not leave a super obvious trail across the map…hmmmm. let me get back to you on that!

I wouldn’t take advice from Chris even if he was undisputed king of WvW. But NA is nothing like you describe. TC and SoS bring the fights all the time. Good stuff.

When we arent getting blobbed down by RET or GODS sure, its actually really good fights! And even then, fighting these groups alone without other guilds helping is still really good. Tonight was disappointing though. they wouldent fight without backup being around the corner at all, or without being in range of siege/keeps/towers.

Either way I feel the need to say, good fights tonight on all BLs from all sides

Also you’re totally putting words in my mouth here. I understand you have your own concerns, and I’m not even sure what server you play on but I’ll assume its FA. Most of what I say in the quoted post is from experiences from BEFORE the matchup system changed back in June, and a lot of it seems to have not changed. I dont speak for my entire server, and you shouldent treat any poster as their server.

You seem mad to have come out of 5 days of hiding just to reply to me with this though, and its pretty unusual to get this kind of response out of me, but you GENUINELY seem upset.
