I agree with what everyone said. wish it would be moved to adept tier then it would be considered for DS power builds

has anyone tried using this trait before? It caught my attention when i was trying to go for DS power build…would have been possibly a 30 0 20 0 20.
I for one dont believe any necromancer would go that deep into that trait line just for that trait and even MM builds cant afford to take it in favor of minion related traits.

really i am glad i stopped my ascended crafting when I didnt find giver’s states and that no one even commented on fixing the condition duration on the two handed weapons to match the results 1 handed weapons achieve.

Giver’s states need to be looked at! no seriously Anet justify your ascended grind to those who downgrade instantly when forgoing the exotic counterpart.

well aside from that drama, I and my roaming partner actually liked watching how u dueled on ur necro back in the day. I’m pretty sure no one would argue that you were a good player and your skills are missed but personality and attitude is something up for debate depending on who you ask.

I know I have left my ele to rot and never regretted it. not even one bit.

if you still feel like playing an ele put a staff on follow your mates and be ready to become everyone’s boon/water field monkey. oh and watch out for 13k backstabs. Ele burst builds are suicidal with no justification for the squishiness you have to deal with along with kitten long CD on mediocre skills to kill something and hope ur burst worked. if not run like hell. bunker builds arent what they used to be when D/D was the name of the game.

if you want to make support role viable then by all means go for it,Anet just dont shove it down the throats of all eles who still play the class. it is a shame almost all eles i encountered in wvw and fracts play staff while other weapons sets seem to be less used. or it is just all my luck with eles i encounter.

Sad thing is our numbers instantly doubled this week compared to the last. SO MANY welfare people just coming to farm WXP after the hard work of the WvWers for weeks and months versus bigger servers

I really hate to admit it but it is true. me and my roaming partner noticed it and we were kinda disappointed by it. when we needed those numbers to help us in our desperate struggles in the last 5 weeks, they were no where to be found. those very numbers could have even made some former comrades reconsider transferring out and now they are everywhere hopping on the wxp kitten train when we’re not on the receiving end.

It is not like I want to impede/restrict their fun but those of us who do WvW regularly deserve more support when it is needed.

Yeah, I remember from my RoS times that some MM guys have no shame. Getting a kill in WvW is a huge achivement for some.

It’s hardly a guild wide nor guild specific thing, it will be individual players. RoS had plenty of them, dancing-laughing-jumping-rambuilding players. Bit silly to tar an entire guild with the same brush, or it could be applied to an entire server also, which would in that case include you ;p

I’d really like not to think of em like that but when even more of their guildmates belittle roamers when they’re in a group, it gets a bit hard. The only comfort is that at least someone had fun which is why we play a game.

PS: I’d like to thank MM for the show of high morals and good ethics when they contacted me about the issue. I’ll take what I said about their guild back. Kudos to you guys and GL.

Thank you for the fun match up even when our morale was just so low with a few friends leaving RoF. I’d like to especially thank roamers on both sides, me and my partner had a lot of fun encounters winning or losing.

I really like the idea but it will need some adjustments to trait lines to make such a change more meaningful and rewarding to work with. Sadly, I have lost faith in any form of balance or development for our class from Anet and don’t expect them to look seriously upon suggestions made by players when they haven’t a clue about how their game works.

This might sound a bit harsh but personally I think you should just give it a rest and switch classes since the ones who balance this class have no idea what the flying kitten is going on.

It depends on the range of HP you’re comfortable with so you could build around it. You would have to use Celestial amulet for an ele so that’s one piece down.

After The patch that nerfed RTL and Mist form I knew we’d just keep getting screwed further and further till we couldn’t do anything and they would never give us an significant buffs because we can supposedly do everything. Seriously Anet, just reverse all the changes since beta that have screwed up the class an we’ll still be not as good as all the other classes. But atleast we won’t be totally useless like we are now. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt with this patch and wasted lots of gold trying out different builds. There’s a few fun new ones, but nothing really useful. We’re still horribly mediocre. Theyre afraid of buffing us and making us too strong. Yet look at how stupidly OP thief is. yet they’ve done nothing to address how overpowered stealth is. We used to be able to do mediocre damage then disengage and heal up and come back to do more meaningless amounts of damage. At the very least me could make a nuisance of ourselves before, but we cant even do that anymore as healing, mobility, and condition removal has been nerfed into oblivion. Yet thief can indefinitely reset a fight, heal up and cure all their conditions (they had better condition removal than we did even before we got nerfed), come back and burst down their opponent with insane dps. And they can keep trying over and over again till they get what they want. How is that ok yet we aren’t even allowed to run away and be a minor nuisance? Its not like we were even a threat before. Now we cant even get away from Guardians if we try to run. We can maybe get away from Necros if they don’t destroy us with conditions first.

My good sir, I believe you have covered almost all of our problems regarding the class aside from pitiful trait lines and long attunement recharge time and longer cooldown time on mediocre skills. For this we thank you.

Anet, hire this guy asap! your own balance team is in need of some…balancing.

I can relate to this…aside from providing fields and auras, anything an Ele can do is done way better by other professions. I have all classes aside from engi but mained a D/D Ele (I use S/D for certain spots) for dungeons and WvW with my guildies. I have always felt as more of a hindrance than an asset. I have tried bunker, zerk and kinda balanced builds and still felt inferior in every aspect. my Guardian and Mesmer and even my necro have provided far more benefit to my group in utility, support and damage on so many levels that I sometimes question myself as to why would I ever need to use my ele aside from the colorful boom boom that barely packs a anything but sparks.

sadly I still love this class and play it because it was the most fun and has its unique style but it is the least rewarding.

some might argue that I am wrong for any reason but I have played other classes and have seen that they contribute far more than an ele.

It is the build I already use in game and could change anything about it as gold is not a major issue except for the ascended items. I will keep those no matter what the patch may bring.
