Thank you for the update Bill. It was really informative and put a lot of things into perspective. Great post. I hope that the improvements come without very many hitches.
Regarding engies:
When used properly, healing turret heals for a bit under 1k more than this ability’s maximum, has 10s shorter of a cooldown, provides a water field for additional healing, scales better with healing power, and can cleanse non-damaging (or other damaging) conditions too. The ONLY benefit this skill has over healing turret is that it cleanses 3 conditions, not two. However, the number of cases where you will have significant confusion and torment both are relatively rare, and as such I consider healing turret to be better in practically every way.
TL;DR: Healing turret is better than the new skill in 99% of cases.
Except while it’s up you lose a toolbelt ability unless you count destroying the turret helpful in anyway besides damage if you have the right traits….
I prefer other heals over turret simply because it can be destroyed too easily and you get an extra heal from the toolbelt skill usually.
PS, there seems to be a bug where the toolbelt skill for this new heal does not always remove the toxin condition.
Healing Turret is amazing. Why would anyone run the antitoxin spray on an engi?
Engineers destroy the healing turret immediately since it creates a water field that can easily be put in a combo or multiple combos thanks to engineers multiple blast fields that can easily be procured. I can easily pull off an additional 4k to 6k heal on top of what my healing turret gives me just by easily pulled off water field combos. You don’t need any additional traits to see how amazing the healing turret is on an engineer. Healing turret >>>>> antitoxin unless you have like 25 stacks of confusion or torment on you, but even then, you’d probably be dead by the time you finish casting antitoxin.
- Remove bloodlust buff – Favors winning team and definitely favors zergballing, keep downstate PPT +1.
- Remove guard line buffs – Favors winning servers who pretty much all have these 2 bufflines thanks to zergballing downtrodden opponents.
- Encourage free transfers to servers ranked 18 and below. The rest should have a cost increase (Ie 400 to 800 gold for servers ranked 17 to 7) and a huge transfer fee to rank T6 to T1 as it should be expensive (2000 gems+) to discourage people from piling up to the winning server.
- Accountwide WvW points should be implemented to encourage more players from getting bored being forced to play ONE character in WvW and quitting WvW. See Point #2 being a large reason why people choose to play one character only in WvW. Terrible game design.
- Outmanned buff should give players BUFFS as in stat points or damage. Outmanned buff only applies if you are LOSING in Overall Points. Anything that makes it easier for lower population servers to remotely even have a fighting chance. Make this based on Total points and applied after 24 hours of WvW reset. For example, losing by 6k = Buff of +100 Stats and +3k hp. This will also help with timezone lack of coverage. Make it scale on how blown out the other team is.

While it was frustrating to see large character models last year, I do miss seeing other players. It was so much more fun last year and this year, and with all the practice I’ve had with JP’s, I would still feel that I could do it with other characters in play. I wish it was reverted to us seeing other characters.

Poor Kain. We are having to use ALTS that have supply from previous matches to build rams! We are still fighting, but we dont deserve to be in Silver League. How is NSP only having 125 PPT vs the rank 23 and 24 unless they are purposely tanking. HoD is barely putting up any points either in our match up versus Ebay.
Seriously though NSP has a better fighting chance than Kain does at the moment in silver league. Stop tanking your already non-random matchup.
We at Kain have lost so many guilds that we probably are tier 7 or tier 8 at this point. I mean seriously, we are logging in alts to have to build stuff here at Kain.
I am wondering that too. However, it would be nice to see new ones to replace the older ones, particularly since we can STILL craft 3 of the items (The Crossing, Arachnophobia, an the Mad Moon).
The other skins were through the Lion’s Chest and I do wonder if these ones get reintroduced. I really don’t mind either way if they do or don’t. The ones I wanted are craftable.
Thanks for your post. I really enjoy most of the new content in PvE with the exception of Tequatl that has now become a barren wasteland. Most of the PvE content has been widely enjoyable and thank you very much for the content. I particularly loved the Super Adventure Box (after the bug fixes) and the TA path.
Some of the things that I do not like with PvE are the fact that warriors get constant buffs that make them superior in so many ways to other classes. The meta has also not changed since zerker gear is pretty much the best way to do anything (if its an experienced group). What makes this bad is that since this is being preached all the time, we have a lot of terrible players that die ALL the time because they explore new content with only the zerker armor since they don’t bother or don’t have the inventory space to get any other armor. These players also do not know how to dodge out of a big red circle which is baffling when they are true 80s with exotic gear.
With the harder new content the pure zerker is troublesome. In a good and experienced party this is great, but when players rage quit NEW cotnent because they refuse to learn new instances or claim it is too difficult because they can’t make it through with their zerker only armor it is troublesome. Players no longer go through the game experimenting or trying new things because they believe that zerkers is the only way or the best way to do new content that they haven’t learned the mechanics of. This problem is exacerbated with players trying to attain achievements that require DPS fests – it only reinforces zerk only builds.
Things that I do have issues about is the other parts of the game such as WvW. I have a lot of friends that play WvW who have now moved on to other games due to the changes to WvW that make it terrible for newer players and those with multiple alts.
The buffs (Guard buffs), character bound ability points, and the more troubling Bloodlust buff have turned off a lot of players – new and old alike. I know they wanted to reward players with “abilities” that provide different skills and advantages to said players but the guard buffs and the bloodlust buffs just provide too much of an advantage that is useful throughout WvW and are not situational like the other masteries that require specific siege or supplies that are stationary on the floor. It’s like fighting 1.5 enemies instead of 1 enemy. It is not fun to be outnumbered, but to be at such a statistical disadvantage makes it unenjoyable and a lot of times leaves such a bitter taste in your mouth figuratively. It makes the hill so much more difficult to climb that it feels like the developers in WvW are constantly pushing you down to the bottom of the hill when you’re nearly at the top.
We all know WvW is all about numbers, but the recent changes have made a lot of new and old players not want to venture into WvW, particularly since they are outmanned, have way lower stats compared to the buffed players, and results in people quitting or swearing off WvW because they don’t have a remote chance of having a fair fight due to the guard buffs. The ability lines are great (mortar, supply, treb) with the exception of the guard buff lines due to their significant advantages not only individual fights, but group fights, it is a no-brainer that 90%+ of the WvW playerbase grabs the guard lines first because it is provides such a significant advantage.
I do hope that in the future that statistical buffs are removed and that only traitlines that are situational (mortars, acs, trebs, flame rams, oil) are in play with the supply lines and defense/offense limited to guards/npcs only. Fights were much more interesting and close when these buffs weren’t here.
Sorry for the wall of text. But I do appreciate almost all the new content in the PvE environment. The WvW content has been pretty much a disaster for me for awhile now with the bloodlust buff being the worst offender.
Easy dungeon with interesting mechanics. We initially had two people quit because it was too late where they were living at. Final Party composition of 2 mesmers, necro, ele, and engineer. We wiped like 3 times at the last legendary boss, but quickly figured out what to do. Our mesmers kept pulling the holograms to the legendary boss to help things go faster.
The only difficult part, maybe, was the initial ooze/flame elemental part, but other than that it was totally fine. I can see this being somewhat difficult if your party is in all zerker gear with people not knowing how to kite, dodge, or do anything other than press 1 and stand in place. This is an easy dungeon path.
I’m not sure either. I do, however, hope that they make the players who completed trib mode world 2 have unique skins. These guys have dedicated a lot of time and deaths to obtain the yellow skin. I read somewhere that they may revamp world 2 to make it easier. If they do, then they should make the skin glow gold or some other variant.
I don’t have the yellow skin, but have tried and failed trib mode w2. Kudos to you that have finished it.
The poor “The Minstrel” legendary needs the biggest improvements. I feel awful for anyone who made that legendary. You barely notice it and the notes it produces are so tiny. This one needs the largest overhaul. I do wish it is prettier with a nice golden glow/aura with footsteps to make it desirable. The name of the legendary is amazing but in actuality its one of the worst focuses to be seen.
The Anomaly and Spirit Links makes The Minstrel look awful in comparison. Please change The Minstrel to be desirable.
I know my magic find gear paid for itself in the first week I got it. I don’t see what all the complaining is about. They told us way in advance that MF was going away because it was a “selfish” stat. I’m fine with that.
I do agree that the celestial set should have boon duration added to it as compensation since it is gated content to obtain. That would be decent compensation. Make it capped to like 5% boon duration as a means to compensate so that it isn’t overpowered.
With regards to even more additional MF stat going accountwide already on top of the magic find that they will give us account wide, then you are crazy. Just because we have a magic find set doesn’t entitle us to even more magic find. I already got more than what I paid for using the set, no need to be greedy. I’m fine with us getting the option to fix another stat in its place. Hey, maybe trying a condition build would be interesting.

I’m also disheartened by this answer and a lot of people I know are. As a player who used to pretty much WvW exclusively, I do not feel like going on and playing WvW hardcore. The guard buffs maxed is a HUGE advantage, especially on classes with low vitality to begin with like a thief or a guardian.
But the achievement points being soulbound totally removes my drive to diversifying my play and enjoyment of having multiple toons. I guess, really, I wouldn’t have a problem with soulbound WvW achievement points if it weren’t for the guard buffs that put other players at a much greater disadvantage. I would not care if they had any of the other masteries like, lets say, arrow cart or ballistas, which is a significant boost, but in a group where its players with full on guard buffs, it’s way to huge a gap to overcome.
This is where I’ve had a huge issue with WvW and it makes me NOT want to play it.
I see what the OP is talking about, they just said it in a wrong manner. I joined a guild recently and it is full of newer people who joined the game. Unfortunately, these new players have an infatuation (ie kitten) for berzerker gear. I’ve grouped with a number of them in dungeons and they are TERRIBLE. They go down all the time and will always talk about their one instance of doing X amount of damage and how AWESOME they are. When someone tells them a different build and how to stay alive, they ignore all advice and continue to SUCK and will insist on joining dungeons thinking they are hot kitten. I’m sorry, but the dungeons run suck because people need to keep ressing you.
A lot of these characters play LIGHT armor classes. One still thinks that switching attunements is a bad idea and monsters have an innate elemental resist, which they don’t.
We have a couple of exceptional players in the guild and they totally rag on/hate this one person who easily carries the groups every time because he knows what he is doing, is not in zerker gear for obvious reasons and yet they think he is a n00b for not using zerker. Unfortunately, this person is way too nice to point out how much the other players suck. It’s so infuriating. I never party with these garbage players in my guild anymore since they are like infants and rage whenever they die, go down, or things don’t go their way since their skill level and understanding of their classes and dodge mechanics are so poor.
From Kain:
1) Jang Gun[WM] – Efficient, fast responder, able to type and give commands on the fly. Incredible.
2) Prince Jarvan[RISE] – Almost as good as Jang
3) Ssaoul[WM] – There’s a language barrier, but he is very good at gathering PUGS and fighting extremely hard, making PUGers want to fight with him
4) Hide Chicken[WM] – Absolutely fun and hilarious to go with
5) Chiipsy Chips[Dii] – Very experienced and doesn’t ditch people behind, if he does, there’s ample warning. Very respectable commander
6) Darknicrofia Sage[KO] – Another one that doesn’t leave people behind, and if they do, its very ample warning. Solid
I know I’m missing more, but these are the ones that do stand out for me. There’s a couple more I know I’m missing. There’s a couple of [Ph] people that used to command that were excellent, and I know there are more [CO] people in here that I’m missing.
There are some commanders where teamspeak is necessary for Kaineng. If you aren’t, prepared to get left behind – Unfortunately, most PUGers don’t and when they get ditched, they leave WvW with a bad taste in their mouths. Another reason why WvW in Kaineng has a dwindling population – we have a poor retention rate of newbie WvWers. I’ve seen map chats with a group of disgruntled PUGers who felt like they were ditched in combat while the main group took off leaving the PUGers holding the bag complain.

This is a huge masterpiece that has me hooked! 95% of the time spent is in running the adventure box!!! I have an adventure box addiction and I need it stopped. I love this content and it is the best thing ever to have graced Guild Wars 2! Thank you Josh Foreman and team for making this.
A huge reason, besides ending my Adventure Box addiction, is that I don’t want this mini game to lose its novelty and charm. A month is a perfect time and we have other events that will come up to fill this game (Halloween, Wintersday, etc.) I would love to see this content be a bi-annual event, but not a permanent event. It is just TOO GOOD to lose it’s novelty! Please remove the box, you have given us ample opportunity to earn the skins. In addition, by adding content to it 6 months down the road, it gives you more time to add to the genius known as the Super Adventure Box.
Please end my addiction and remove this content. Thanks so much! I’m a huge fan and will purchase your mini pets as a token of my huge appreciation to this content.

I’m biased because I love playing the warrior. And even though I do, I readily admit that the warrior is the least survivable class in PvP and WvW setting.
That stated, if Leg Specialist combined with ACs means a savvy warrior or two has the chance to mow down a large mob of unsavvy players (because if a player does not have some kind of condition removal that is just asking for trouble), well that seems to me a nice trade off given the warrior’s well documented weaknesses in PvP/WvW. Besides, one warrior with a war horn could pretty much get you out of being immobilized in the killing fields created by the ACs.
So in summary:
The Warrior: Awesome when he uses an Arrow Cart….but, really, not so awesome when he doesn’t. And this is the class you want Anet to nerf even more? That just seems unfair. Besides, the purpose of siege defense weapons (in the game and in the history of actual warfare) are to make the assault of well fortified positions excruciatingly painful for the attackers. So I see no problem with the possibility that walking into a recurring cascade of arrows could be lethal.P.S. How do you think I feel when I’m fighting an ele 1v1? It’s challenging and I have to come up with new tactics and be smart about the skills and equipment I bring. Adjust tactics and be flexible in your approache when the situation dictates that we must.
ROFLMAO no way! My shout warrior has no trouble in 1 vs 1 or zerg settings. Like what numerous posters have stated, use a hammer. Learn to play it and you will laugh at how often enemies get locked in place or knocked to the ground.
See an enemy about to pull out a high damage skill or mesmer clones running towards you, hit 4 followed by an f1. See a thief about to hit you, hit 4 or switch out to axe/axe or axe/shield and take them to town. If they are alive, switch back to hammer and swing 1, wait for 2 seconds and press hammer 4 or 3.
Warriors are easily one of the best classes in wvw. If you’re running a full zerker build, then yes, you will die as will every class that runs a pure glass cannon.
This patch SUCKS. I give it 1/10.
1) Small guilds are now forced into larger guilds in order to do new content.
2) New Ascended items if not gotten through guild activities cost an excessive 40 laurels and 50 ectos. Not that ectos weren’t crazy expensive or anything.
3) Poor engineers get nerf after nerf and this one eliminates a majority of builds. Awesome work ANET.
4) More Gambling in order to get things via the gem store. Couldn’t you just let us purchase those items outright?
5) tPvP had some good things changed such as the elimination of tickets, but a ton of builds that needed nerfing (or other classes that needed buffs to keep up with those OP builds) were not done. Check out the tPvP forums. Its a HOT mess in there.
6) Dungeons that many considered perfect for beginner to advanced like Ascalonian catacombs are now filled with content that newer players will have a tough time on, let alone encourage them to do dungeons (See AC path 2). You should have put that type of coordination/difficulty in higher lvled dungeons like the totally abused/cakewalk known as CoF path 1.
The only good thing with this patch so far is the new dailies in which you could pick stuff from. Other than that, this patch is garbage. Oh there was one other awesome thing in this patch and that was previewing items in the Trading post. So maybe this patch is a 2/10. Seriously this patch was bad.

Its not a glitch, its their skill called guard. It allows pets to climb up towers and such. It’s their only useful skill for towers/keep attacks besides arrow storms.
The problem with predicting how next week is going to be is that both us (Dragonbrand) and Kaineng were reaching +695 during Asian primetime. So it’s hard to tell which one actually has the stronger Asians (I think we all expect it’s Kaineng, though I’d be really happy to be proven wrong).
While our NA primetime is stronger now than it’s been since early September, it is still not a time of day that DB tends to dominate.
I think Mags will be able to make a much stronger showing next week, and scores will be even tighter. Right now we seem to be able to manage DB most of the day, but we get railed during Asian primetime. We could survive that, though, by regaining during Europe and holding during NA. I think we have a relatively strong even coverage. The problem with this match up is that we also aren’t able to dominate FAs NA enough to make up the point differential. I don’t think Kain has both DB and FAs strong times, so I would expect to see DB and Kain struggle with each other during Kain prime time (but basically wipe Mags out), but then Mags will come back during Europe prime time and be able to hold out long enough to even out or even take over.
In either event, I expect to see constant score updates, since I’ll be out of town travelling, and probably won’t be able to log. :-(
This is 100% correct. Maguma has a very strong early morning crew. which comes on right after the asians go to bed. the real test for next week is who actually has the stronger NA coverage between the 3 of us.
Who every can fill FA’s coverage the best should come out on top. with kaineng and DB fighting during the late night shift maguma should have a big advantage.
If DB and Kain go after each other, you are probably right that Mag will have a nice advantage with regards to going against Kaineng. We have a fairly weak NA presence and are pretty disorganized during NA prime time. Right now we have a TON of upleveled chars playing or trying to learn WvW. I’ve also noticed some of the newer people joining WvW fleeing as soon as they see a zerg, regardless of how small totally run away – which is so unrepresentative of Kaineng.

2 days ago, after we occupied and upgraded the entire borderlands, we had a Kaineng server meeting of guilds to exchange opinions.
The participants: WM, TL, RUN, RISE, CO, Ph, KOR, Meow, RE, SoS
Although, many controversial issues were brought up, I did not respond to all the issues. However, I was disappointed to learn that some misinformation was being let out about how the meeting unfolded and I am writing this post to fix that.
1. We suggested to guilds to focus on the borderland where they are responsible (assigned) to make Kaineng Server stronger for T1 and T2. Although almost every participating guild agreed, RE and SoS did not. RE later clarified their situation and we have since worked things out.
2. The idea using a certain forum to conduct a campaign that requests help from other guilds who were not in the meeting and PUGs was not concluded because RE strongly wanted to use their webpage for the campaign. We still have not yet found a solution to this problem, but will try to after we have resolved our current dilemma.
3. SoS who were originally in T8 had dissatisfaction with the newcomer WvW guilds including WM. WM moved in Kaineng 6 weeks ago and we have fought all 6 weeks for Kaineng. I don’t understand why we deserve such hostility. We only want to fight for Kaineng, same as everyone else.
Thus, all 8 guilds (TL,RISE,RUN,CO,KOR,Ph,Meow) including WM agreed that it is hard to organize the server and WM and TL including other guilds have decided to take a temporary break from WvW.
We the WvW guilds of Kaineng would appreciate it if certain individuals would stop spreading misinformation about this problem. I really want them to show their ability in WvW and not on a forum. I always love PUGs and guilds of all sizes. We hope we can help our server to prepare for next tiers and we hope we can help Kaineng to be the best server of all. However, if most Kaineng members do not want us, we will consider moving to one of the other servers where we will be welcome.
We will come back as soon as after this problem solved.
I implore you to please stay and teach some of the newer WvWers how to properly WvW as the server needs help to respond to swords in a quick efficient manner and learn siege placement. You guys have been a blessing for the server.
In response to negativity, many guilds and players on Kaineng ARE happy to have you here and know that you have tremendously helped Kaineng rise to where we are today. It takes a community to get to where we are and not just one entity. Many pieces need to fall together in order to rise in rankings and the server has stepped up. Not only that, but the fight and spirit of the original die hard Kainengs are here.
Wait till next week when we will have difficulty and that wake up call to the upper tiers coverage/manpower/tactical ability increase as those who experienced upper tiers know. Those spouting hate/negativity at you now will quickly realize how much organization needs to take place in order to stay in that tier. Kaineng has not really faced this so far, but it will next week.
When things go wrong is usually when things actually go right. Stay the course like you did when you guys are in WvW. Many players/guilds have learned much from you and gain much confidence when you guys are on – we know that you have that map on lock down and can assist another borderland. Watch next week how everyone will be on the same page if we are losing/do not win the tier.
That’s sad that Ebay has to resort to flying mesmers to take stuff back. It totally ruins the wvw experience.
All servers have reports of exploiters… not really fair to characterize EBay as a server because someone posted screenies of a potential hacker.
Also, you can’t cap spawn, so I don’t think that taking stuff back was the goal.

It’s not, they took 2 towers magically with 8 people killing at the claim spot just recently. This is with 2 people as lookouts on gate. It wasn’t a breakout either. It’s no longer a potential hacker, it is one.
In the first instance where the screenshot provided that got deleted showed that the Ebay player used a hack to get in and is pretty much wanting to get banned. There’s no way someone gets in spawn point that far and not get shot by the legendary.
Not that it matters, Kaineng took the two towers back in 30 minutes, but still.

Reason: Back when DR, Kaineng and FC were all in T8 of NA they were a Guild of around 10 or so iirc…When DR Zergs entered Kaineng BL everyone prepared to beat some faces in. When 5 Envy entered Kaineng BL, we called for reinforcements and prepared backup in case our Zerg was wiped. While admittedly they could not wipe a truly skilled Zerg…these people were some of the most individually skilled players I have ever seen. Their leaders were from everything we know un-defeated in 1v1s. They were considered more of a threat than a Server outnumbering us 5-10 to 1.
I second this guild. ENVY is better than any of the guilds saying their the best. You haven’t met the best until you’ve met ENVY. They are INSANE. No one even comes close.

I would like to thank you for noticing the smaller but effective guilds out there that ARE making a difference. We are looking forward for this Friday’s match-up and we will be holding off our borderlands while the bigger guilds take care of EB.

I also want to thank [WM] for knowing what small 2 to 3 man guilds can be effective if done right. In the high tiers groups that can take camps quickly and effectively while the main zerg or two zergs captures towers/keeps can make or break upper tiers.
Right now these small groups may not always join a zerg for two reasons:
1) It’s totally unnecessary since we are blowing out the competition
2) We know when to join the zerg and when not to. We know we can be effective elsewhere like killing yaks, capturing camps, annoying the main enemy zerg, hitting gates to make them contested, etc.
[WM] understands this and for that, thank you.
Commanders that are humble and lead well = 10/10
Commanders praising their own guild commanders in map chat talking about how good their guild is and asking who the best commanders are in map chat deserve a 0/10, they are basically stroking each other’s kitten. I have a lot of respect for Ferguson and Eredon myself. I think if FC gets a bunch of transfers, they will shoot up like Kaineng and Devona
I hope they shoot up like Kaineng and Devona, those match-ups were fun. I hope ENVY goes back to Ferguson’s. I wonder where they are. Those guys ate zergs up and many of their players were awesome. They were really hard to kill.
Very fun fight!! As an AR player, I am impressed at the battles tonight. I’ve seen some amazing players from both sides. Whoever that BP player is with the necro on the POOP guild is amazingly strong. Almost single handedly prevented our push, but we managed to take him down! Muahaha!
FoTM patch killed the population from being anywhere else besides LA. It seems like they will continuously make it FoTM and that’s it. WvW won’t get any items until they are done rolling out Ascended gear in FoTM and that’s it. We’ll see if they promise what they preach in the AMA, but who knows. The wording is vague and it will probably be 3 months before WvW or PvE gets any of the ascended gear that affects both PvE and WvW.
Crazy decision making like the Fractal patch is what’s killing the population.
FoM is easier then getting 50 WvWvW kills.
So not true. You have to do 15 runs of Fractals to get credit for monthly. 50 WvW is like an hour or two max. All you have to do is follow the boring zerg.
15 fractals is at least 3 to 4 hours.
To original poster. I’ve seen both sides of the spectrum. Those who always yell DON’T TAKE SUPPLY even though upgrades are going and the keep is being attacked. It is OKAY to take supplies if you are using it to upgrade or build sieges while being attacked. It hurts NO ONE. No sieges in keep or tower = loss of said structure anyways.
Now if they are taking supplies and not using it for defense or maliciously taking it before an upgrade is about to start then yes. No one likes being called out, don’t be an idiot. Whisper them, you will get a better response. It’s people like you who egg those individuals on and encourages them to keep doing it.
Until they introduced the Fractal of the Mists and vertical progression with Ascended gear. It’s more like a Fractured community now and no longer revolutionary as it’s copying WoW. Dynamic event zones are ghost towns thanks to everyone being in LA spamming LFG FoTM lvl 10 to 32! Speed runs and experienced players only!!! Way to go!
I’m on the fence. I want to see where they will do with the December patch and kind of go from there. I’ve paid a ton of money in gems on two accounts and will put a stop on it depending on what the new patch has in store and if they fix the Ascended gear fiasco. – especially 3 months into the game. Like, really, what the hell. A lot of players are still making new chars and testing the game and to already institute a new tier? Ludicrous.
Many of my friends and I are fine with raising the level cap in the near future, but a new tier set this early in the game and this grindy? This screams many more tiers in the near future. Who knows, I still don’t trust the vaguely put AMA they did. Time will tell, but I hope they rectify the Nov 15 patch fiasco. Half my friends disappeared from my list. I’m sad and this was a very very sizeable list on my other account.

Honestly though, the match is super balanced this week. So it’s been very fun as well as very stressful, specially for commanders in Eternal.
@God – I kinda like your way of thinking and honestly, I just prefer to fight GoM cause I don’t like the color green. Though I look at the map and I judge what must be done in each situation and I tell you, whenever AR attacks me, I’ll go back and attack them.
I dunno about your borderlands cause I haven’t been there all weekend long. But I’m sure I saw your guys in ours.
BTW, I love fighting SoS and CRFT. If you guys ever invite me to come to your TS for a chat, I’d love to mean you in voice. Maybe we can make GoM even more suspicious that we have an alliance. LOL
Though I have to tell you one thing – we love trashing you guys while we play, and that likely won’t change.
DR will move up a tier eventually. They are THAT large. They field numbers during all hours nowadays. There’s a reason why they are blowing up their competition for the last 3 weeks. They are HUGE in numbers now. Give them 2 to 4 weeks with blowout scores like they’ve had and you will see them soon.
This has become a BORING match up. DR can keep deluding themselves by saying it’s all about leadership. BS, the number advantage is HUGE. This is an extremely boring match-up now with all the transfers to DR. Props to the bandwagoners.
Default response… always love this one. As two weeks ago it was not this way and you still lost…
I do agree though it is dead boring like this. All three of us need new match ups not with the other two.
I’ve not noticed some huge influx of playes nor have there really been queue times on any bl on DR. It seems like there are more of us because there ARE fewer of you entering WvW. I notice a serious drop off of both ferg and kain players at hours of the day they are normally out in a much stronger force.
Don’t blame a server for the population problems. Blame individuals. Blame ANET. It simply is not logical to say that it is Devona’s Rest causing the issue, or that it would be our responsibility to do anything but enter WvW and play as hard as we want/can. We are simply doing the same thing that you are in a different room, different computer, and different server.
Call me out challenge my opinion as though it were anything else… I really don’t care as these are simply my thoughts on the matter.
Just as my words are basically a cliche here so to have these posts become.
It is in the numbers. Both Ferg and Kaineng both admit you guys have a ton of players in WvW. Ferg has no queues on any maps and neither does Kaineng.
By the way, you can roll with BP, Anvil, and to some extent, GoM. You guys are THAT large now.

1) It costs way too much to travel when you are max level. I don’t earn enough to make it worth my while to travel to different areas. I think there will be some improvement if travel costs weren’t insanely high.
2) There is no incentive to go to other areas and it is now a habit to just go to familiar places rather than explore nowadays.
3) WvW is just so much fun. If there’s drama, I just turn the chat off and enjoy the game.
4) Legendaries are just too much work and many people have given up in obtaining them. This IS a problem as legendaries should be difficult, but not this difficult. Those lodestone drop rates are so poor.
5) Dungeons are boring/feel like too much of a chore rather than a fun exploration. No one likes one hit kills even if you’re a vit/toughness build and seeing your companions go down.
6) A lot of people work and are trying to earn extra cash for Christmas.
This game is still a ton of fun. Most of the people that are on my friends list constantly ask me to join WvW rather than somewhere else in game. Occasionally there is a request for a dungeon run, but this got old fast since no one really enjoyed the dungeon runs and it felt so repetitive and boring.
uXa & FIST. Why DR? Its easy to join the winning team but any more tipping of the scales on Devona’s side will bump it to the next tier. Kaineng or Ferguson’s are both in dire need of skilled players.
I agree, Devona already has had a HUGE number of very skilled players transferred to them in the last 2 weeks. Ferguson’s is in DIRE need of players and Kaineng’s core group seems to be doing dungeons/farming PvE instead of WvW lately. Kaineng and Ferguson really need the transfers, not Devona.
If they do join DR, you’ll be in the next tier in the next week or so. If you check the scores, DR is DEMOLISHING both Kaineng and Ferguson, who lack players.

Kaineng really is truly something to behold. Not enough can be said about how HARD these guys fight with the lowest population and are often times outnumbered and outlvled, but they continue to fight.
This server needs representation. Their mini zergs are truly so much fun and a breath of fresh air instead of just stomping someone through sheer numbers.
They even took almost the entire Eternal battlegrounds map for nearly an hour before getting overwhelmed with sheer numbers. Yet, they continue to fight and fight. They only lost the map because both Devona and Ferguson attacked them concurrently with a huge amount of players. There’s no give up with Kaineng. These guys are AMAZING!
If there’s ever a server to transfer to, it’s this one. Please join the underdogs!
