There are no plans to flag a World as an official role-play Word. The amount of customer support overhead involved in enforcing RP names, in-character chat, etc., not to mention creating policies and rules governing RP, is a massive undertaking. We would prefer that community members self-organize.

A great way to ‘cop out’ of taking any responsibility ! But hey fair enough, if thats the case give RPers a server of their own, at least then they can all play together and it will be easier for them to police the actions of people spoiling the RP theme !

Repeatable would be great, Persoanally I’d suggest weekly repeatable time frame. That way you’re not going to encourage people to farm them, BUT those who do enjoy them will be able to go back and do the ones they liked the most !

No, if it takes longer than 2 minutes to figure out what 5 skills do, you’re doing something wrong. And I’d rather not be held back in combat every time I make an alt for hours because someone can’t mentally grasp five skills. It’s already annoying enough when grinding a new weapon and constantly thinking “You know, this fight would be a million times easier if I could just use (x) already!”.

Great we’ll just give you all the skills then you wont have to bother putting any effort into it at all then !

Did you even read my post properly? The last thing Im suggestiong is to ‘throw’ all 5 skills at any player. In fact Id like to see the opposite, longer time with each weapons skill. That surely would allow the player to see the benifits and downfalls of that skill for that weapon !
The way it is now is almost like throwing the skills at the player, it takes no time and no effort to have access to all 5 skills !

Duels, hell yes Id love to see them in this game.

Although I have issues with the lack of options with the skills system I find the biggest problem with it, is the ease at which skills can be learned. There is absolutely no challenge involed in learning the 3 or 5 primary skills for each weapon. Simply shoot – kill mob – earn skill % – repeat. This is made worse by the fact that you can learn all primary skills in about 20-30 mins (less if you grind)

How about increasing the amount of xp needed for each skill about x4 higher (or more) make it so that it takes a good couple of hours to learn those primary skills. It was kinda dissapointing that after such a short period you find yourself thinking “Oh.. nothing left to learn”

Personally I was always a fan of the character lvl opens skills way of doing it, BUT as we now have a time/effort based system plz at least make it so we have to put some effort into it. Surely you can’t deny that the more effort is put into something, the more satisfaction is gained from achieving it ! ?

Please A/net give us the option to be able to make the in game windows (Inventory, Bank, Crafting etc) non-transparent.

Its a real pain in thekitten to use anything in the lower section of these windows as the transparency mixes the items visuals with whatever is on your main screen.
Now I get some people may like it, so just a simple on/off function in the setting would be great !

Ranger has to be the laziest class we have, pick a target, send in your pet.. shoot the bad guy from where you stand…lol

And if you’re feeling frisky, have a sword as your secondary wep and do some CQC, if not, your a stand still killing machine and job done

Couple of points that get me (maybe others feel the same)

Firstly, could we get the ability to change the size / scale of the on screen UI ?
Some players maybe ok with it, some may actually want it larger. personally I always had my UI about as small as possible without being to small to see.

Second, Button configuration.
By that I mean changing where we want certain attacks to go. As a ranger Id prefer to have Rapid Fire on button 1, Barage on button 2, and basic shoot button 3,
however Im stuck with them in the slots you have pre-allocated.

Im not saying change the mechanic for earning these abilities, just allow us to move them around after we have learnt that particular skill.

I love the game, even more so now we actually have working forums to dicsuss/argue points with others from the community but !…

Any chance we could get a few different skins/themes to choose from?

The only trouble with the clas balance issue is servers. By that I mean a certain class may seem OP on your server because several players may be extremely good with that class. On another server there may be no players of that class that stand out and another class seems OP.
Its not an easy job to balance out the classes for any game that has seperate servers. Yes within a certain margin of error you can balance things. But you will alsways have times when a certain class is thought to be OP.

Thats where Blizzard failed because they listened to the whiners too often and changed the classes like every month. A/net will hopefully take the time to do detailed reviews of each class mechanic and see what(if any) changes are needed.

Tengu would def get my vote.

However, some of you may have seen the Polar bear in full armor in Lions Arch, hell yeah Id play that race too. (also has coolest lookinf armor ive seen yet)

Id put bets on the appearance changes being a paid for item thru the TP at a later date.

The alliance system I thought they would have brought over too, always liked that feature.

Sounds like good sense to me. They work to pull the boss then reap the rewards, my tip.. when they start farming join in, least then you too can share the rewards

Having my own mount is an extension of my character…it is more than a speed buff. Real affection can grow for your mount and they would be a welcome addition to the game.

Have to agree with this, in (the other MMO) my Tiger mount was always my favorite, I had higher lvl mounts but always used this one, Like the OP said it was an extention of my character

Mounts… yes !

But purely as some kind of cosmetic reward, something to achieve or brag about. As for the speed yeah ok they need to be a bit faster than running, but keep that something small like 25% buff.
So basically you have the mount for the joy of having the mount, not so you can make travelling easier

I agree, the email spam is almost as bad. have to say Ive never experienced that in any other game until now.
Simple fact, if any character is found to be gold selling, close their account immediately. Hopefully at least some of the sellers will quit once they have to keep purchasing new accounts.
This needs to be addressed NOW and acted on quickly !

Now, Im aware that A/net said these things would not be at launch, and thats fine, dont mind waiting. But (and I guess this is to the Devs) is there any kind of time frame or date attached to these ?
Player housing for me was one of the games biggest selling point, a place to show off all my achievements to friends and guild mates. Somewhere to see the spoils of my travels and heroic exploits !
Of course things like fixes will have priority but any chance of a heads up? next month? this quarter? this year???

Just weeks into launch and already gold sellers are spamming chat. At least Its like that in Divinity and Black Citadel (assuming same in others)

Its getting to the point you cant hold a conversation with other players due to the constant spamming. and Yes Im aware there is a ‘block’ function. BUT !… thats like turning up your car radio when the engine makes strange noises.. It doesnt fix the problem, it just hides it !

Also, plz give us the option to state “gold selling” once we report the person !

You’re kidding right? either you’re levelling in areas abouve your capability or you’re just plain doing something wrong. The re-spawn is right on. In fact in my own experience Id prefer it a little faster as levelling is just way too easy (Ranger and Guardian)

Ive had this too, male human character(s) sometimes swap into female character voices !

Anybody got titles working yet ?

As lv49 ranger with all story quests completed for everything up to that level I’d have thought there would have been a title available by now.
Ive chosen a faction to fight with, worked through their ranks and still nothing ?

Is titles bugged or am I just not doing anything to earn one yet ?

Like this idea, having an option to ‘deposit into guild bank’ would be very handy
