What’s your point?
Four points can’t u read?
The only thing I see here is you comparing your experience with mine, in the ‘’I suffer more’’ fashion. Not a single point is being made other than you stating you have it harder than me for some reason that I do not care. This thread was made to raise awareness of how many people having similar experience to mine.
And then you state that ‘’Now you know what everyone has been complaining about on the forums!’’. What the kitten do you mean!?!
Eternity~!
Your logic as I see it:
I am loosing a lot >>> must mean my teammates are bad >>> but why am I matched with bad people, although I’m really good? >>> must be because matchmaking sucks… yeah… that… makes sense…
This has nothing to do with me loosing, I am simply stating that before the change, the players of my team used to often behave appropriately to the situation in order to win, now that the patch went live, the players I usually get in my team seem to know very little on the basics of TPvP, and thus poor decisions are made by them when we require them the most.
I’m saying that this did not happen before the patch, and now that the patch is in place I have to gamble on the performance and composition of my team in order to win. I have NOT stated that the new matchmaking sucked and made this thread in hopes of finding people in a similar position than me.
Now please, if you misunderstood my message, read it again before stating such comments.

Lol.
(1) You lose 80% of games and only fall from rank 30 to rank 115????- I have won 8 games in a row and only advanced from 82% to 86%.
(2) Unlucky? People rushing home? How about three people capping home together at the start of games?
(3) As far as I can tell that leaderboard rank is an even worse indicator of skill than normal rank. I have had games at around rank 80-90% (where I seem to be stuck at) with two full teams of rank 40-50+ players and everyone playing very well. Then I see some pve dude at like rank 50 on the leaderboards with 12 games or something played.
(4) Now you know what everyone has been complaining about on the forums!
What’s your point?
Eternity~!
Hotjoin
- Anet’s default servers should be removed and replaced by Normal Queue, the button to Queue should be the ‘’Play Now’’ Button in the browser, the same Button should be copied and pasted to the first page of the PvP menu. (Below Heart of the Mist button)
- The Normal Queue should have an ‘’Hidden MMR system’’ that balances teams while not making the players feel like they are evaluated. (It’s like writing for fun vs writing a test.)
- The Normal Queue should allow players in the same party to Queue together. (Similar Feature than League of Legends)
- The Normal Queue should instantly Queue right at the end of each match, similar to how hotjoin switches maps. (This is to give the players the convenience to never always have to Re-Queue.)
Solo Q
- Add Roles to Queueing, such as ‘’Home Defender, Bunker, Roamer’’
- Two of the same classes should not be in the same team.
- Add very Instructional Videos about every single role, as well as tips for rezzing, and stopping enemy rez. (Emphasize that Home Defenders should not always sit on home)
- Make leaderboards available in-game.
- Make Solo Q rewards significantly better depending on your position.
- Reduce the amount of Dishonored stacks required from 5 to 3. (This will help reduce the frequency of 4v5 while not punishing D/cers too much.)
EDIT: 11/17/13
Since our great Justin so nicely asks, I’ll give out suggestions for rewards that I’m sure most dedicated PvP’ers would love.
Rewards for Leaderboard positions.
- An Idea would be to add a new prefix for the current PvP titles (example: ’’Master’’),
the master prefix would be awarded to the player in function to his/her Leaderboard position.
Example: A player that has won 150 rated games with a warrior gains the ‘’Champion Legionnaire’’ title, this could be used as a requirement for the title ‘’Master Legionnaire’’ which would require 150 rated wins while in the top 200 in either Solo Q or Team Q leaderboards.
- This system could also be used with the current rank titles.
Example: Assuming PvP score titles would be changed to total rank points earned, instead of total score points earned. A rank 40 could upgrade his ’’Ransacker’’ title to the ‘’Master Ransacker’’ title by being able to acquire 150 rated wins while in the top 200 in either Solo Q or Team Q leaderboards. (This could help distinct the farmers from the legit players.)
- Weekly reward chests for player participations in rated games, players that have played ~30games would be eligible for the weekly reward chests, these chests would contain a different reward depending on player ladder rank.
Example: Gold Chest for players in the top 100 (Team Q gold chest would contain greater rewards), Silver Chest for players in the top 300 and Bronze Chest for those in the top 500. These chest would give large amounts of rank points as-well as giving away a unique currency used to buy VERY RARE SKINS, like PvP legendaries. (PvE rewards could also be a great addition to this, like gold or gems or extra laurels)
EDIT: 11/18/13
LeaderBoard Ranks and player Names
- Similar to the world completion star an Icon displaying LeaderBoard ranks should be added to the player names.
Example: A sword aiming downwards should be added on the left side of the Player’s name, the sword should be very small to avoid names from being cluttered, colors of the sword would represent the LB ranks, gold for top 100, silver for top 300, and bronze for top 500, probably red for top 1000. (Team Q Icon would be Cross-Swords instead of a single one, Team Q Icon should also overwrite the Solo Q as it is more important.)
Why?: To make players travelling in the PvE world become more interested in PvP, and allow PvP’ers to show off what they achieved. This could help populate SPvP!
Note:These are simple Ideas that I believe would only do good for Gw2’s PvP, tell me if I should add something, or if you think something in here would be bad for the game.

After the MMR shuffle was released, my team members in solo Q seem to be lacking common sense, some constantly rush far only to get repeatedly killed over and over by the enemy ranger that is just STANDING on the point. Very low priority is taken into the defence of home-point. Some players just rush far when we need them for the teamfight.
Some even rush for orbs when the enemy has 3 points capped. I only seem to get ONE reasonable player in my team per match. Last game, players were so shuffled around in the map, that a we almost lost a 4v5.
Could this be a bug? Or is the lack of players for Solo Arena so bad and am just unlucky with what I get grouped with. I’ve been loosing ~80% of my games, and dropped from position 30 to ~115 on the LBs.
There are at least two factors at play:
—The previous system really did favor high-ranked players and put them together, so it’s natural that we’re noticing a sharp drop in teammate skill
—Very few good players are playing concurrently right now.Maybe it’s because they’re hoping to get a special reward for playing a match on Nov. 25th (thus ending at the top of the LB for the reset), maybe because balance isn’t great atm, I don’t know.
Makes alot of sense, I guess I’ll wait for reset, I could probably get my position back the day it resets since lots of good players most likely plan to play that day.
I’ve yet to see an unreasonable reply from you, I’d wish you’d be part of the Anet PvP team! XD

Welcome to the world of the rank 150s and lower. Instead of getting carried by your teams, you now must do the carrying. GG
I don’t believe I’ve been carried much in any Solo Q I’ve played, I always seem to accomplish my role well. Which is burst roamer, I can only accomplish 20% of my teams performance at best (1/5) but the rest can’t seem to be able to do much of their parts.
I feel like I’m forced to switch to warrior meta builds or a bunker just to keep up.

maby you are higher ranked than you should and now it need some time
Did you take the time to read my message, I was complaining about the lack or reasoning my team members had, NOT about loosing LB rank(who the hell cares about that?), my position was only an statement to support the idea that I should not have incompetent players.

There has been a rumours travelling around in SPvP/TPvP that WvW season 1 Participants/Winners Will be receiving a permanent Dolyak Finisher. This finisher is only gained by legitimately reaching rank 20 in SPvP, unlike PvE/WvW ranks/levels, this Can take awhile, and knowing the next finisher is only available at rank 30 which is approx 2x the requirement of rank 20 is kinda depressing.
Does anyone know if this rumour is true or false?

I don’t think Sylvari are as attractive as humans, but I don’t play gw2 for those reasons. But I sure as hell don’t think mine is weird-looking.

I think its a noble decision, however it would be enjoyable to have a timer on when the patch goes live. It doesn’t need to be spot on, just an approximative value of time until patch is released.

…
What backs up what you say as a fact? It seems like an opinion to me as-well, what I believe matters are not these ’’facts’’ but the amount of players sharing similar opinions to the OP of this thread.
The 8v8 Hotjoin is the reason my guild members don’t even touch guild wars 2 PvP with a 10 foot pole. From my experience 8v8 supports 8v5, 4v3, 4v4…(etc.) to happen often in small fights, this is horrible considering it contradicts most reasons players SPvP instead of WvW.
In legit tPvP matches (In which this game was BALANCED TO BE PLAYED) 2v2 and 3v3 happens often and are more interesting because of the players spread-ed across the map.
Even with the glory changes, hotjoin still promotes bad habbits that should not be part of the behavior one has if he wishes to win.

I’m not sure why you feel that Warrior’s damage cycles are suddenly just mindless AoE spam. Longbow and Hammer have pretty much remained constant in AoE capability since launch. Still super telegraphed.
Play without Berserker stance and Balanced Stance if you want to instantly have a profession that relies on skill-based timing to be effective. Or take some gear off. Warrior’s fundemental mechanics have never been ‘hard’ – I think you just have a thing for being the underdog. Haha.
The thing is, the viable warriors had little to no passive defence back then, Beserker stance is absolutely disgusting, and the ~20-30 points in defence makes the class’s survival more passive then it should be. The current Viable build makes survival easy, the only skill required is making sure your abilities hit. Which is not all that hard. The old warrior required skill to be efficient in selecting moments to disengage.

(edited by Phantom Master.9582)
Hey fellow warriors,
As you saw from the next balance changes in Dec 10, hammers are getting nerfed and to be honest I am very happy about this, the question is, is it getting nerfed enough?
As a player from launch I have enjoyed the PvP in this game very much. I started with a thief because I wanted skill-required builds for PvP but It never worked out since the thief’s fighting style was never enough for me, since having stealth felt too safe for PvP.
So then I picked up warrior when they were still in the free kill tier because the old build (axe/shield – GS) required lots of skill and timing to be effective, it was all about using GS for high mobility and trying to catch the distracted enemy to burst them down, The build had alot of disengagement, telegraphed skills which were very dodge-able this lead to the warrior having to force the enemy in wasting their endurance before proceding with the burst while trying to avoid getting hit by key abilitys of the opponent’s class. Needless to say, you had to have ~400% the skill of your opponent in order to win a fight. But BOY WASN’T IT FUN!
All we asked was for a tiny bit more condi removal…. and what we got was the easiest build to be effective with in this game. Seeing how Skill-less and OP the LB/HAMMER build was; just ruined everything special warrior had before the change.
I’m sure we all remember the day were everything changed from being skilled/active play to being brainless/passive play (with lots and lots of AOE spamming).
Enough about how I feel though, I’m making this thread in attempt to raise awareness of how many warrior players want the old/skillful warrior play-style back. And what should be done of the OP warrior build.
Eternity~!
(edited by Phantom Master.9582)
As a warrior I would suggest to reduce damage from hammer auto-attack Considering it has higher dps then a FULL hundred blades on greatsword, the hammer is a really big cookie cutter and often leads to the death of the Greatsword.
Eternity~!
Warrior Nerf! Thank you for finally killing that build, as a warrior I want the class to be hard again!

My friend recently joined SPvP and he wants to know how to build his Ele, but since i’ve never played ele, I have no clue how to help him. He wants something that’s Dueling>Conquest for starters before trying Conquest builds. Any good Eles in these forums want to share a decent dueling build and explain how it works? Difficulty does not matter as he is willing to play 1k+ games just to learn a great dueling build.

Yes, because pvp gets patches in this game and is not neglected for very long compared to most other mmo’s.
Then good for you if you enjoy the speed of the incoming content, but I’m sure most of us here don’t agree much.
Eternity~!
We should award different rewards , with different ways , for different kind of ppl .
We shouldnt force in their throat the <<rightious single way>> , lke having conquest only (even if other modes cant work) .
Not all ppl come into PvP games , with the mind to become pro . Sometimes u have to lure them with a simple thing , get a small taste > see twitch > see the competition > laught at them > then gather their WvWvW tem and beat an opponent team (that had a DC) !
I dont understand , why we must fight (now that the cordinators are letting us to steam out ur anger , we should start a war between the community just for the gigles :P) , changing something that is 1 year old , rather than using ourr immagination for creating something that needs <<higher rating>> to be obtain
Something like after 0.3 sec after a person has died , coffins side parts rise up from the ground and then magically the lid shows up in mid air closing the coffin with the letters <<R.I.P>> on it
Sorry, I didn’t really mean to insult you, anger got the better of me. I agree with you that any player should play the way they enjoy and be rewarded in their own ways, but the current rewards are linear and the farmers are actually getting more of the pvp ’’rewards’’ then the PvPers themselves. I was bashing this fact. I believe you simply misunderstood me. Enjoy your anime.
Eternity~!
And if you have a brain I’m sure you’l agree that players who dedicate some of their time in playing more competitively, they should get rewarded much more than those brainless farmers. Would you honestly be proud of yourself to reach that bear finisher by killing yourself in a skyhammer map, would you think you deserve it?
So finishers = competitively ?
Not i dont have a brain then , because i dont think grind = competitive
If i had the brain , i would beg the company to release new finishers by winning 1k matches in tPvP , rather than making a post that:
PvP grind = skill , and
PvE grind = grindSorry me monkey boy go to eat banana in the corner and see an anime ep for 30 min !
Sorry for not being clear during my reply and I didn’t mean to insult you, I’m using 2 concepts in my reply, both dedication and competition, I use dedication to represent the time invested in your goal, and competition to represent high-skilled play. AS I SAID the current reward system for PvP is terrible (you talk as if I agree with these rewards).
I agree that playing MUCH in high-skilled play should be rewarded more than playing MUCH in farming. If you consider this grind then you can call it such, but grind can vary from being easy/brainless to being hard/skillful.
Example: I would like it better if the finishers were awarded by maintaining a High-rating for a specific amount of games (~100 rated games), rather than playing ~4000 hotjoin games.
Eternity~!
(edited by Phantom Master.9582)
You dont want ppl to farm glory , but in the same time you want to be rewarded with Laurel wich is a PvE currency (u can transfrom it into gold or PvE matches ) and silver(that still is a PvE currency) from dyes from the mistic PvP forge ?
I play both, I hugely prefer sPvP but its rather obvious how horrible the organization of rewards are.
I’d like PvE rewards to get my PvE friends to play with me, and I prefer the PvE reward system much more as it doesn’t seem to be designed by monkeys, but I wouldn’t care if the new reward system they plan for SPvP is awesome, PvE currency is more of an suggestion than anything else.
Eternity~!
Yes, this is another QQ post, I ain’t scared to be honest since you’d have to be mentally insane to not be bothered the development speed of sPvP, or to be one of those disgusting Glory Farmers.
I believe its been 4 patches that sPvP was left to rot without any support, and yet PvE got their content every patch. Yet some still argue that PvE doesn’t have enough, I guess they are spoiled rotten. (I’m not a programmer and have no idea how long it takes to develop these new features but I don’t agree that it should take this long with good resources)
After surviving for the year of slow Spvp development, I believe its about time that I stop Guild Wars 2 if this patch goes wrong, I have been buying lots of gems in hoping to help out gw2 but I was left with barely nothing in return.
Every time I go on these forums Its only to get even more depressed by how serious/critical these issues are and how Anet doesn’t seem to give Enough kittens about it. Like having farmers get the best of rewards and leaving us dedicated PvPers pockets nearly empty. This is a CRITICAL ISSUE and it should have been HOTFIXED as SOON as POSSIBLE. Us dedicated SPvPers have been supporting this game for a full year, we have been loyal, we gave feedback, we have been giving our opinions in order to help this game out, yet these PvErs come in and get ALL THESE BEAUTIFUL FINISHERS and TITLES by kittening FARMING! everything that took us huge amounts of our time to acquire.
tPvP has no real rewards aside few easy accessible skins, there’re no rewards for playing the game and you’re rewarded for not playing ( leadeboards).
You’ve no incentives to play the game competitively, while you get incentives ( more glory, chest, finishers, bags) to play the game NOT ONLY not competitively, but ALSO in the most wrong way possible.
Again, the whole system needs to be rehauled, and the fact they’re not doing it has also a clear answer: since the biggest part of the PvP population plays hotjoins for these very reasons, removing them would make this “spoiled” population to stop playing PvP, basically showing how the system was broken from the start and how unhealthy the PvP part of this game is, since without hotjoins all the people left would be those few hundred people playing tPvP for the lulz ( since nobody high ranked plays anymore).
I would be scared too to take any action, thus they do nothing.
And we complain as usual.
Now i’d like to know you guys opinion, if the patch is bad, are you willing to put up with this crap for another 2 months or 4 patches, or are you going to give up?
Eternity~!
(edited by Phantom Master.9582)
+1 I think most of us agree. I enjoy WvW and i’m penalized because i can’t get gear.
Eternity~!
I will treat that as first step to remove hot join. Why ? Because you (devs) defended hot joins saying, that casuals can jump in and out of the match when they want. Now they won’t gain anything if they jump out of the match so the whole concept just collapsed.
Why would you even dare to defend farming, just get out of here…
Disgusting farmers are the reason this thread started.
Eternity~!
The problem is, all these slow fixes just either slow them or make them find a new method. They will just find a way to end a match faster, probably suicide jumps after reaching the cap.
The only solution is to remove glorygain from hotjoin.
People could still test builds and “have fun” – but since hotjoin only teaches wrong things to newcomers (like never defend a capture point, spam Aoe and move on, stay with zerg and so on), it shouldn’t give glory. I know it would only take 2 mins to make this change :P
This would also improve the arena population + people could only get ranks if they deserve it.
The thing is some of us don’t enjoy conquest all that much and hate modifying our builds for conquest, so we play hot join the majority of the time because it feels more like a death match.
I would make that the fixed amount would be 100 glory for losing and 150 glory for winning the match, (150 glory for losing in tpvp, 300 glory for winning in tpvp), you are only eligible for the rewards after you have completed 5 tasks in the game to avoid farming.
Custom Arenas would award glory but not rank points.
Also, those who farmed more than 50k rank points should be ripped from all the rank points they gained via custom arenas.
Eternity~!
(edited by Phantom Master.9582)
Hey kiddo, guess what!
Nobody cares about the PvP “community”!
It’s literally a farming minigame, the only thing there is to do is farm rank. Don’t get mad because people figured out how to do it without wasting a year of their life ^^
The question is, ‘’was this intended?’‘, if it wasn’t (which it clearly wasn’t) then its the Devs fault for making it that way. I have high hopes for this game but what is killing this hope is these ‘’little things’’ that Anet doesn’t fix which just ends up totally ruining the experience. One rotten apple and the barrel is spoiled.
Eternity~!
We have more changes coming to further hinder this type of behavior.
Evan… I have played this game regularly for One Year! I have reached an honest rank 43 1/2 with sweat and tears, and I’m proud of this. But then I come on the forums and see something like this, and then I look at one of my friends who could make it from rank 30- rank 60 in the summer by farming… This ’’hindering’’ is mercy they don’t deserve, for many exploits PvErs got banned, and now we see something this disgusting in PvP, and you want to ’’hinder’’ it. I’d rather you reset that ONE YEAR of work I played to to punish those who did farm this much.
Eternity~!
I think the disapointment that people feel with Scarlet is related to the fact that we know very little about her, and cannot understnad how her grasp of reality (or lack thereof) is causing her ‘evil’ acts. We want a proper ‘why’ to dislike her. Personally, at this point in the story, I feel that’s uneccessary. Think of it in real life terms. Some crazy leader attacks and begins destroying another country. Many people feel the moral outrage, but none, immediately, band together to protect and rescue the ‘unkowns’…this is where we are in the story currently.
I understand where you are coming from, and I agree that Scarlet is not lost and can be brought to us as an entertaining villain, but kitten aren’t we far from it.
The current picture of Scarlet I see, I find it absolutely disgusting that even money was spent for making it. I expected much more from Gw2 as it is the best MMO I’ve yet to play.
They can bring it back, but they’re going to need lots to make her interesting, If she’s so smart, I don’t want to predict her, and I want her actions to make absolute sense, not just the current explanation ‘’she is evil’’. If her motives are truly amazing, then the character can be brought back for me, but I have my doubts.
Eternity~!
Just reset both leaderboards every month, get a proper decay system with no removal of decay when people play again (decay starts after a day) and declare monthly winners on this basis.
Totally agree, and if they do plan on fixing it, why the hell aren’t they doing a temporal fix before the patch that it releases? Its so bad, it can only get good from here.
Also…. 4 patches…. and absolutely nothing is even ANNOUNCED for pvp…
Eternity~!
@Sindex.9520
You make a very interesting point there, I totally agree with you. But I don’t believe her trying to make the player comprehend the morale of her actions is enough. I’m sure you can agree with me that a plain sylvari for a villain is just unoriginal. I believe scarlet can still be saved, but with lots of work on how the game represents her.
Its not that I dislike sylvari, both my mains are Sylvari (Faithless Spirit, and Ink Spirit)
Eternity~!
(edited by Phantom Master.9582)
I am about to discuss the current PvE content in terms of story, all of this is simply my opinion but a believe I’m not the only one who shares it.
Scarlet
- To start off I will be talking about scarlet and her overall character design as well as her personality. Scarlet was a huge disappointment to me because I couldn’t ever take her seriously even if I wanted to. I am not saying that women are bad villains, that’s not the case. But she looks just like a normal sylvari, her voice is as annoying as a teenage girl that is WAY too full of herself. She has a typical very easy to predict psychology of an ’’insane’’ person. You kill her because you HATE her for existing, you don’t kill her because you feel heroic doing so.
Development
- That is not only her sole problem, … she has LITTLE to NO development. We have never seen her do something particularly cruel (closest was the short story release, but I had very little care). If it wasn’t for the story telling us, I’d say she’s incredibly stupid, and has failed to impress me even once.
Twisted Clockworks
- But, while Scarlet was a disappointment, her minions were surely not. As a fan of horror games I can tell you that I am very Impressed. The Twisted Nightmare was quite something to praise. When fighting one alone… the ways it just stares into you while shooting you down and the way it moves is disturbing as hell. And all of the clockwork monsters just felt horrific to closely look at (some of you that don’t agree, its probably because you couldn’t see them properly with the huge zergs roaming around). You know there is a problem when the Minions are a thousand times more threatening than the Villain itself.
What can be Improved
- I’ll start with development as I believe it is the most important. In most games I have played, the bad guy was always behind everything and it portrayed so very well, most of the time he didn’t mess around and did horrible and dark things during cut scenes, it can vary from murdering important characters to destroying towns and villages, to even… torturing your own character. MAKE these villains a BIG and BAD thing that we feel heroic in taking down.
- The shape and form of the villain is always important as well. Just imagine, instead of Scarlet, an : unrelenting, insane, old and tall, dying Norn, with half of his body made out of clockwork machinery that ravages what’s left of his true form, now imagine instead of that annoying teenage voice, a voice that sounds like a ravaged dying man with the sound waves modified by the machinery that is destroying him. I’m not saying this should be it, there are plenty of ways to make someone threatening and that’s just one of them.
That is all I have the time to say today, I hope this thread starts a wonderful discussion!
Eternity~!
(edited by Phantom Master.9582)
I have a question for the Dev’s that probably most of the Spvp community would enjoy knowing. Will our progression in the current reward system be kept for the new one that will be in place? I saw JonSharp post the forum that he wasn’t satisfied with the time it took to rank up and wants to tone that down and make it more Rewarding per rank.
To be more clear, i’m asking if we are wasting our time trying to progress in the current Reward System, is doing PvP before the New Reward System implements completely pointless? Will what we have achieved be taken away?
I know some players tend to say rank is absolutely meaningless and I can agree to some extent, But I believe a rank ~40 has a limit to how bad he can be, hes played a decent amount of games and should be decently experienced and reliable.
Note: if you want this answered it would be a good idea to reply random stuff to keep this thread on the first page

PvP is not currently designed to have extensible content. There are maps, which we do make. There are runes and sigils, but there are already an overabundance of them. Finally there are skins, which are added usually with every other update, but how you obtain those skins stem from PvE.
There are no features we can just ‘throw people at’ to give you guys more content. We need more infrastructure and more extensible systems, but those are the hardest to design and take the most time to implement. An example would be a completely reworked reward system. Those are the things we’re working on. It’s taking a lot of time and hard work to get there, but the payoff will be worth it.
Thank you very much for your answer, I see what you mean, in a world were meat is rare and fruits aren’t, the fruit lovers will have an easier time getting what they want while the meat lovers will have a harder time.
So they stand jealous of the simplicity awarded to others but not themselves. Are we looking at the new reward system being released the 15 of oct? We want our meat Evan! XD

@ Rewards: We want to make it more fun to rank up and we want to provide more incentive to rank up. We also want to have more fun progression as you’re ranking up with cool rewards as you’re ranking.
We also don’t like how long it takes to rank up for some players after they hit a certain rank, so we’ll be addressing that as well.
This part actually worries me, i see some people with Ranks 60+ and you can just imagine the time it took to get there, the thing is about the finishers, its not about how pretty they are, its about how long it takes to get them, which makes us getting them feel proud. I plan to eventually reach there (am currently rank 43 atm (legit, no glory farm)) and look forward to eventually hitting rank 50 or 60.
Could we get a tiny bit more detail about this?
Is it going to look more like WvW with ranks? Are the finishers still going to be as hard to get? Or are you just toning down the requirements (I pray its not this)?

If you’ve ever cooked, you’d know that the most efficient way to prepare an elaborate meal for the family is to start working on multiple things at once and let them simmer. Triage between the sauce, the meat, the noodles and vegetables until everything’s ready, then put it all together and enjoy the fantastic meal.
If you only worked on one thing at a time, like the sauce, great, you now have amazing sauce YUMMY…but no noodles or meat and veggies to go along with it. You could sip on that sauce all day but it probably won’t be very filling.
Then Anet must be cooking over a candle, because we’re starving.

The PvP forums are incredibly dreadful, you can feel the rage in the air just by oppening 90% of the threads in here, it suprises me that the Devs don’t crack at the players. They got tough skin! Unless they don’t really read that often. But i’m sure we all agree that after one year, very little support was shown in the development of SPvP.
But yet the Devs didn’t really fundamentally explain why. I would enjoy knowing if its the lack of money the PvP teams gets, or is it the lack of members in the team, or… something!
Taking huge amounts of time in testing is great and all, but i beleive players have expire dates and PvP might eventually die off, and we end up blaming the PvP Devs, but is it really thier fault? I would enjoy a dev response about this.

To be honest, i don’t know how Arena Net works, and i don’t think you do either. It could be that the PvP team in Gw2 might have a budget that’s not worth a kittening dollar and can’t do anything about it. Probably because most of that budget is going straight into the pockets of the living story team. I’m not too happy of the PvP state after ONE YEAR, but i can’t do much, i only payed 60$ for the game +~90$ of gems. Because PvP never gave me the gold to buy skins. So i don’t really think we should bash on this game so much. It’s not like the game is my life.

1. Solo Q
2. Better Reward System
3. Casual Unranked 5v5 Queue
The only reason i’m still hanging onto the game is because i hope the first wish will be achieved, as for the 3rd one, i would enjoy playing with new friends without putting my rating at risk, in a match that people would actually want to win. (Similar to old free Tournies).
