This game is designed around gold. Gold is the end game here. By the time you’ve farmed 250 of any given T6 mat required for the gift of fortune, you’ll have made enough gold to buy the rest.

If you are a hardcore crafter, I hate to break it to you, but crafting a legendary is about 25% world exploration, and 75% gold grind.

if they’re lower than lvl 68, just sell them, on the tp or on the npcs, or salvage them with regular salvage kits.

if they’re higher than lvl 68, use a master’s salvage kit or a black lion salvage kit on them, you will get globs of ectoplasm, which are worth quite a bit.

dark souls or demon souls, while it’s worth to skip the trash mobs, they are very rewarding to kill and each one rewards you with at least something usable.

That’s why I bought it … I already had infinite picks. If you bought it for sprockets AND infinite picks, the price is comparable to the price of the sprockets + the price of finite picks. Either way, the gem to cost comparison is still very similar.

Funny that no one QQ’s about the ‘p2w’ for infinite picks.

That’s the Riot Games balance treatment for LoL, just nerf everything into the “fun” size.

The other way to balance is to use Blizzard’s nerf this while buff that other, effectively creating “flavors of the month” and elements taking turns being OP and UP.

And finally there’s the valve way of balancing which is to increase the weaknesses of classes while improving the strong points of a class, effectively turning the game into a flashy fest of craziness with broken abilities fighting broken abilities.

I’m sorry but no, with ascended, you will consistently win 10% more, and that is quite a huge advantage when it comes to PvP

As far as discussion goes, I guess I was really curious what other people thought about precursors and their sentimental value and so on. ah alright then, my opinion on this matter is that attempting to get a precursor by yourself is what is called “gambling”, gambling is fun, it’s addictive, it makes my blood rush every time I combined 4 exotics in the mystic toilet, but at the end of the day, it’s a bad practice, because by gambling you will, on the long run, lose, and in this case it’s worth a lot more to save up gold to buy the precursor off the TP from someone luckier than me.

I do not feel not accomplished by buying down a precursor from the TP, on the contrary, I feel smart, because I know there are people who spent over 6000g on the toilet gambling for a precursor, and when I think about it, gambling is a very dangerous thing to do.

well I mean, steam has the “steam workshop” implemented on certain games, which is a system that allows players to submit their creations for review to be implemented ingame. Dota 2 is the biggest example of this, in which you can browse thousands upon thousands of fan made cosmetic items, and depending on how good they are, they may eventually be implemented ingame, and the creator actually gets a cut from the sales of these cosmetic items.

The downside is that Dota 2 is considered a “hat simulator” as much as Team Fortress 2 is now, when a big focus of the dev team and the client goes to cosmetics, but I think it’s actually a pretty cool system, and could see it working for GW2.

Out of combat you are all carefree and stuff and can use extra muscles to speed up your travel. When you get in combat you must transfer those muscles to other regions of your body to charge up your skills. Don’t question it, it makes perfect sense, trust me.

I do believe it’s based on a percentage of your current level, since I’m earning upwards to 3k experience from discovering a WP in metrica province, at lvl 80.

also remember there are waypoints and vistas and POIs in the WvWvW maps, so for a brand new player trying to go for world completion is not an easy tast and will take minimum 3 weeks or less if you’re lucky/are willing to spend money.

I feel ashamed for them… i´m on Kodash, too, and i know that guild you speak as well as most people who formed it, but i´m a duelist through and through, thus despising any griefing or server-farming actions (only doing that alone vs multiples IF they deserve it – kinda eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth). I even rejected a guild invite back when that guild was created. Now i know it was for good, measured by my own standards of course. They clearly have experience in Obsidian Sanctum, and the best way to deal with them is to avoid them. Don´t fall for their baits on cliffs!

I can give you some tips. They don´t matter if you are casual or hardcore. Just basic stuff about the Obsidian Sanctum, as i´m quite familliar with it.

1. Make use of the Stealth Wells. There are three wells located in Obsidian Sanctum which give you stealth for 5 minutes. The first is located in a small cavern which can be reached from the ruins inside water near the main entrance hall. Second one is located up the pitfall right next to the entrance to the spiral tower. And the third one is located above the animal arena, hidden in the backyard of the chest ruin.

2. Use stealth / mobility skills to reach them. Most classes have access to one of either. If its just you vs multiples, try to outsmart them. Use your anti-falling-damage-trait to mitigate being pushed over cliffs / outright jump down the cliffs to save some breathing room.
If its some of you vs multiples of them, split up . They cannot hunt down all of you at once. Try to break their group formation.

3. Learn speed jumping. Sounds stupid, and isnt a certain glitch or bug. By speed jumping i mean general JP practice and knowledge. The quicker jumper definitely has an advantage over his pursuer.

4. Get in touch with certain places where you may be able to use skills to short-cut parts of the JP. Best example here are leap-skills like Warrior Sword #2, Guardian Greatsword #3, Elementalist Ride The Lightning and so on… this ain´t bugusing.

5. Get used to GW2´s physics and mobility skill behavior. Most leaping skills (like those mentioned above aside from RtL) which are untargeted are dependant on the character´s movement speed. Warrior Sword #2 will bring you the furthest when out of combat and under influence of Swiftness, but will do almost nothing when chilled. Use your mobility skills when your movement is the least impaired!

6.Final tip is death-rushing. Prepare to to lure the camping group or at least most of them as far away from the spawn points as possible. They´ll follow you and hunt you down, but than instantly port back and instantly make your way through the JP. Best chance is if you do this when you already clicked the Waypoint so you have that dialogue window open.

Take this from a semi-renown, semi-experienced thief with lots of JP-love and a boatload of successfull duels (of course there´s at least nearly the same boatload of fails, but after all thats where you learn from, right? ). Eventually you´ll break their blockade. And if you dip deep enough into the the teories of applied jumping, there´s much more for you to learn and explore, especially in Obsidian Sanctum!
