I’m not sure where you got the idea that Icy Runestones are hard. Runestones are almost always available every 3 hours considering each server will complete Claw of Jormag.

Microtransactions and vanity items are important to Chinese and Korean players. These groups tend to have more disposable income, or the willingness to spend a large portion of their income, on games. That’s why P2W games are popular in Asia. I remember reading an article of a player would bid $16,000 to have a unique, one of a kind in-game sword.
As for these items being P2W, these are close, but still not at the same levels of other Asian games. So far, none of the items I’m seeing provide any clear advantages for paying customers than non-paying. But once we see Gem store items that increase weapon damage or armor rating (not counting +5% boosters) by large amounts, then the game can effectively be called P2W.

even the worst case scenario, it will still be better than going back to a waypoint (unless normal players are not allowed to go back to a nearby waypoint, while VIP players are allowed to with this buff)
and yes, there is a competition on everything, otherwise the game would not be “fun” for a percentage of the community.

hmm I do not believe you can use NCsoft cards to redeem gems on GW2, since they appear to be completely different currency systems. I could be wrong, but it’s best to rather use the official gem cards.
Also you can get gem card codes online for much cheaper than $25, and they redeem for 2000 gems.

the most desired classes for “endgame” dungeons are Warrior, Guardian, Elementalist and Mesmer, Thieves and Engineers are situational and most pugs avoid them while Rangers and Necromancers are very undesirable.
There are so many things wrong with this post.
First of all, there is no endgame, since your level changes to match the level of the content you play, so if you’ve never been to Charr starting areas with your lv80 Sylvari, you can go there and enjoy it with matched level.
Then, dungeons is not endgame. The gear you can get from them is endgame (if we don’t count ascended tier), but the same gear can be acquired from either Orr temples or the trading post.
Where your personal skills and acquired gear really matter, is a magical place of WvW. That is endgame – not for me, but objectively for everyone.
The reason why I put it into quotations is because I don’t actually believe it to be “endgame” and as you said, you can play those dungeons at any level, the only thing that matters is your skill, the reason being I wanted to answer OP’s question, and as a general rule (and thus most consistent estimator) those are the most desired classes and those others are the least desired classes.

you have several options for earning karma, but there isn’t one that is the most efficient, because it depends on many factors.
Edge of the Mists or WvW karma can either come rolling at 10k/hour or you could very well be sitting 30 min without capping a single point, it depends on many factors: presence of a commander who is willing to do karma trains, number of people zerging, your server’s position, etc… it is IMO the most profitable way to earn karma but it’s also the one with most fluctuation
Doing fractals 10 levels below your personal reward level can earn you up to 9k/karma per hour, but sometimes fractals take more than 1 hour. This is the most consistent way to earn karma
Doing world bosses and champ trains also reward karma, but at a much lower rate and is usually used to farm rares/exotics rather than karma
and no, karma boosters don’t work with karma consumables anymore.

I don’t have more hours than you but the only legendary weapon I really like is the incinerator. I wish they had a staff or some others that weren’t all rainbowy and such and I don’t like the great sword ones cause everyone has one. They’re not going to change their 2 week release schedule. Unless the entire community decides to go back to 1 month living story schedules, which I doubt that will happen.
If you really want to change the game, then simply quit. They will then have numbers to go off of in meetings at work to really change how the games content is distributed. But if they are getting more and more players every month and a high concurrency rate, then why change?
