Blackgate never bought guilds, It simply helped with the costs of a few guilds that decided on their own that Blackgate is where they wanted to go.

You really are trying to spin that? C’mon, just man up and admit it. Until Anet make it a rule against these kind of recruitment, it’s fair game. To say there’s no communication between those SoS guilds that transferred to BG without the mention of any form of “assist” is just being naive or deceitful.

I can confirm that we, Nocturnal, paid 1 Million gold to get all the guilds over to Blackgate.

We (Nocturnal) did our first guild mission: bounty, last night. I must say we had a great time!

Took a little while to find all the npc’s before we kicked off the event but we managed to down both in the time limit with about 20 people. We got Devious Teesa (Frostgorge Sound) and she had HUGE hp and we also got Bookworm Bwikki (Lornar’s Pass) who was a massive pain in the kitten because he kept getting huge stacks of defiant and didn’t realise that you couldn’t damage him while you had condition on you (or atleast that’s what it seemed like)

Great creativity so far and really looking forward to completing more with the guild

Blackgate finally has the coverage to compete properly in Tier 1! The skills have always been there and now it’s time to claim that number one spot

Any Oceanic players looking for a home on a top tier server? Nocturnal is waiting with open arms

My predictions:

The only major thing they will add is the world experience advancement system and I’m not sure if Ascended will be tied to the new system or badges. They will completely remove culling and then people will start whining about their computers not being able to handle it. Everything else will be a HUGE letdown and PvE players will be absolutely furious that they need to PvP to get Ascended gear. Of course the ascended cost will be insane, as usual, and more people will quit the game.

Can you imagine if the first Ascended weapons and or Armor is released in WvW. Dem PvEers will lose their kitten! Hahaha

Probably flipping quicker due to the lack of orange swords and nobody reacting to the white swords. 24 people can flip a tower pretty darn quick… Especially if it has paper gates.

I think part of the problem is that among the limited population of people who are willing to wvw on a rp server, there is already a euro option in the unofficial European role playing server. But I hold out hope that at some point, some of the oceanic guilds in the over popped top 3 will decide to jump just to create 2 semi even tiers. I’m not holding my breath though ;p

I was kind of hoping that would happen right before transfers ended but it actually went the other way, people went to the top 3. For your coverage, and the fact that you’re a RP server, TC does an amazing job in WvW and are improving by the day Keep up the good fight!

As much as people rag on the WoW style raiding, it actually worked. They could easily implement similar dungeons to GW2 but remove some of the annoying factors like gear treadmill. I think doing an EPIC volcanic dungeon for a chance at a volcanus off the last boss would be AMAZING! Reward for effort. I think the idea behind fractals is ok… Short fast dungeons (or atleast most of them) with reasonable rewards = good starting point. I think what alot of people were hoping for was something like a 8-10 man Arah style dungeon in terms of difficulty but actually have it be rewarding at the end.

The only thing I see wrong with WvW is that there is no Oceanic servers. This would have helped with nightcapping to some degree.

There is no way near enough Oceanic players to justify a whole new scoring bracket. We would probably have 3 really full servers and that’s it…

Anyone else feel like this when they’re running across the vast landscapes in the borderlands?

Would be great if Habib could confirm whether the match length will remain as 1 week or be reduced for the sake of getting this done quickly.

Keep is mind that the reason the servers haven’t had a chance to balance properly is because of the shifting of mass amounts of people over the last few months. Even the disolving of HoD and ET caused problems for atleast a month as they fell. I don’t think it will take very long to sort out the new ranking now that we’re somewhat locked into populations. Bring it on!

Can someone please update the answer on the first page with all the guilds that have already transferred to JQ so people can get a feeling on how many people have transferred already and if there guild should, currently it is very miss leading for people that haven’t been keeping up.

They do have over 9000 SEA players though so that kind of makes up for it ^.^

1. Storyline: If your personal story takes you to a place far away that you’ve never been to, it’s going to take quite a while to run there on foot because you don’t have any waypoints there. This is where a mount would come in handy.

The idea is to explore the whole world. If you do that, you will find the personal story follows that path rather nicely.

2. Farming: Leveling is decently fast-paced, so you move on to higher level areas faster than you can level your professions. So if you need to farm materials for these things, you can’t just waypoint to a node. Mounts would also come in handy in this situation.

If you farm as you complete maps, you’ll find yourself having a good number of crafting materials. Also, most classes have speed increasing abilities / utilities. I’ve never found myself feeling ‘slow’ when roaming around the world

This idea was posted before the idea of Laurels was introduced. Perhaps they could be implemented into this idea aswell.
