Isle of Janthir seems perfect for you. We are currently ranked 15th with a good amount of WvW focused guilds. Our server maintains EB as our guilds work along the defense and BL raids. Our #1 top priority is defense, the community is very tight and strong. Mostly pugs and WvW guilds use a community TS3 which has been close and if not maxed out at 250 the last 2 resets.

We have a good oceanic presence and our NA has becoming more strong within the last 2-3 weeks, [SE] from Darkhaven, [Mend] from HoD and [SIC] from FA. Most guilds are active in WvW daily, capable EB commanders, thorough communication between guilds and fast response for our BL.

As a recent guild transfer from Darkhaven to Isle of Janthir, I can say this. The community is way different in a good way. IOJ Public TS3 is constantly filled + used. The WvW guild commanders actually communicates. There are several prominent server leaders that does donation drives for sieges + commanders.

Why would IOJ be a good fit?

As all the servers mentioned, IOJ is the only one that is making ranks. DH is pretty much dead as both its big WvW guilds transferred off to IOJ and SBI. KN’s long time server resident guild is currently looking to transfer off, expect KN to drop ranks in a few weeks. YB + BP is currently ranked 11, 12 respectively.

As I recall, we surprised XOXO and company in the South West tower. Then your Mesmers and thieves ran away to the open field between south camp and sentry and eventually we caught up to one of them and killed him. Then you guys regrouped and engaged us but your mesmers kept running away every time they needed to heal, in which thus classify you guys as kitten? Yea, we stayed because we thought it was going to be a good fight, we did not expect XOXO to continually run away every time you guys are about to be down. Lots of respect lost for you guys.

Cynz pictures show that indeed the rumors are true that WvW is bout numbers not skill. Map que on your BL’s against 20 man parties, you should be kitten ing them. Also proves that SE is in the exact same position they were on DH, being basically the only guild with numbers during NA prime. Lastly, you will do more by splitting up your 50-60 man blobs SE. Safety in numbers yo!!

At least EB has been queued more times for IOJ in the past week than DH EB for the last 3 months. My guild find it more enjoyable here to play, even though it might be similar in numbers, the community here is EXTREMELY friendly. Teamspeak is constantly filled. Homeland is priority for everyone in IOJ. We might run around in a good amount of numbers, but it was nothing in comparison in the days of Darkhaven.

Last night was a great showing by SBI, it allowed IOJ to work on its rapid response and defense. Especially from 10 pm EST to 4 am EST. EB keep was constantly getting pushed and honestly, I don’t know how we even held it the whole night.

It wasn’t directed towards INTH, you guys come out during the times we sleep, I’ve seen you guys before with a good 20 of you. It was more geared towards [DHE] as in Darkhaven Elite guild. They constantly harass our members and pride themselves on AP, not WvW. Even though, they state they can field 100 members and beat zergs in which I have yet to see. Anyways, Maybe we will see them in the future matchups and see what they are really capable of.

Did Abys and SE have some fighting between the two guilds? Saw Edge was Abys then went to SE and even changed his name. Was that the reason?

I only play a few hours a night because of work, etc,… and Pak has a small showing in GW2 but we will still miss you guys out there. Pak’Cafan members just don’t like playing this game for some odd reason so they are in other games. Those of us still here try to help where we can.

Anyway, terrible to see you guys split. Saw DH holding it’s own quite well and working well together as a server. The server looked to have matured a lot since release. But then again, I was on the outside just playing and not seeing any infighting behind the scenes.

No there wasn’t. Edge left on his own terms and requested to join us. Myro and I had a discussion before Edge joining. Myro and I are good pals, we conversed a lot during our times in DH and maintained a friendly and healthy relationship.

There are multiple reasons why [SE] left Darkhaven.

First, my guild was being heckled constantly by DHE/TriF. Especially DHE, who believes that they are the face of Darkhaven due to their high “achievement points” in which they firmly believe is more important than WvW. They pride themselves in that.

Second, every since these pve events have gone off, WvW has been very unstable where us WvW’ers have not been able to enjoy. Therefore, weeks and weeks on end, we felt abandoned by the server and made the transition to IOJ. Since Myro knew that I was going to transfer, I gave him options also to either come to IOJ or SBI in which I suggested, or he could stay in Darkhaven to let it drop to its rightful tier.

Let me tell you IOJ’s WvW community is much better than Darkhaven. Weekly commander meetings, a public teamspeak that got filled with 150 on reset, and a delightful welcoming by the many WvW guilds here. So far, even though the Matchup is not what we wanted, SBI will probably be a Top 6-8 ranked server based on their constant transfers since they were able to queue up all 4 maps on reset.

I’d like to stress this out, It wasn’t [SE] that abandoned Darkhaven, it was Darkhaven who abandoned [SE] and [Abys].

@Skullmount – We have moved to IOJ, the core wvwer’s have already moved and we are moving the rest of the guild when they come on.

@Lillium Honeybuns – I assure you that you will not be me on IOJ TS much. If I am on there, I will most likely be muted as [SE] has its own TS3. I don’t know what kind of experience you have prior in the IOJ TS3, but I can reassure you that I meant no disrespect.

I believe the decision has been finalized. It will be official tomorrow and will begin our process of relocating effective immediately tomorrow.

Just fyi, we’ve been mainly speaking to community leaders from SBI and IOJ. I have interests in SoS if anyone would like to speak from their community.

[SE] Side Effect is a WvW guild located in Darkhaven. Due to the vast numbers of pver’s in this server, we have decided to transfer to a more WvW oriented server. With the amount of players in this server, I must say we will not be able to receive any transfers from any other servers. Therefore, we have looked at our options and decided that this should be the best route.

When I carry 15 supplies and build something with it, the first 10 supplies would be used, then the next 4, and then 1. I was wondering if this was a bug or something that Anet would intend to fix on?

Consider DH as one of the stops where it would fit your needs.

Ok I have never accused anyone of hacking, but could someone from SE guild explain the zoom hack that allowed you to take out 3 AC’s and 1 ballista with an AC that was well behind the gate at NSP hills just now, thank you.

Edit: It’s not zoomhack, it’s common knowledge.
edit: if it is not a hack then please do tell how you are able to do that, I would love to return the favor some day, so much coin wasted on siege in that attack.

Youtube it there is multiple video showing how zoom hack work. I saw a zoom hacker from SE also and one from another DH guilds. I have multiple screenshots and tried to report the other with the report tool but that tool is lacking a bit.

If you place the AC near the gate, you can aim with the space on top of the gate which will allow you to hit behind the gate. That was me using the AC @ hills last night and I have T4 AC upgrade, thus able to take out the treb.

Since in WvW, we use our skill points to make superior sieges. I’m sure lots of players have amassed a bunch of badges. A great idea would be to substitute badges instead of Siege’s guides for the Mystic Forge.

Also, another idea would be able to buy superior sieges 2.5-3x the cost of normal ones.

here is a suggestion that I would like to make.

- Increase WxP for taking a Reinforced or Fortified tower/keep/SM.

It takes more effort in capturing a T2 or T3 than a T1, thus increasing WxP would be more ideal. This should also affect camps also.

We just played around this whole weekend. The real fight starts on Monday.

Don’t cry PvE’r. You guys get all the new content while we WvW’ers get kitten. Don’t complain about map completion or badges. Matter of fact, I’d suggest increasing badges to get the Gift of Battle to 1500.

Everything Remz said. I am a guild leader as well, and having the multi guild system is a pain. Suggestions on that, make being loyal to 1 guild a option for those who want to be apart of a community.. having many guilds might have seemed a great idea, but it defeats the idea of a guild and how can you really build a community this way. For those who want to bounce around (which gives leaders and officers a headache for many reasons) they can do so. But rather the current guild buffs that are offered… add a loyalty system.

The loyalty system can offer anything from movement speed increases and the longer one is loyal and representing to a guild and the more influence that person throws into the guild by being active and time they’ve been in the guild.. the higher % it goes.. and let it take many months of being active to reach the highest % of these perks.. like at the end of many months of being loyal to one guild one of the perks is a 15-20% passive movement speed guild buff. It scales up till it hits its cap.. and guild buffs and perks can start to decrease the longer they are away (not representing) or erase the buff entirely that they built up by all the time and work put into the specific guild. Add many buffs that guild leaders can choose to apply to all their users to appeal to everyone’s needs ie for pve and wvw for example.

And for the love of everything, when you join a guild and they accept.. for the first guild they join since getting the game.. why do they have to hit represent right then while you being the only guild in their list and they say “yep i wanna be in this guild accept” and they have to go that extra step to hit represent.. and for all the new toons they make and them being in just 1 guild.. having to ask if they are still even in the guild is a hassle and having them hit represent when they had not a clue that it took them out anyways.. and they think the guild is dead not seeing guild chat etc..

I hope they fix these issues… and give more of a reason to be in a guild besides the bounty etc.. give us something more to do.. guild specific raid events that actually reward the members so they feel the need to do it.. not give them the same or less than they could get from simply going and joining a dragon event etc.

A last online NEEDS to be implemented. Of course it couldn’t say with people opting to be invisible while playing…. but they don’t give influence to the guild in that way anyways right? I hope these things will be taken into consideration and put in “i hope”

I love the game,, but these are some big issues for anyone who has a guild.. and ultimately anyone who helps try to run one.

I support this post 10000%. Anet, please implement these changes. It’s hard to keep track of who is active/inactive.
