Alright, I know I just used buzz words in my title to get some attention but I’m going to stand by the statement, specifically when it comes to farming the World Boss chests and getting around the daily lock out through guesting. I also know that it’s currently allowed which means it’s not technically an exploit but it is actually an exploit.
Aside from the overflow and lag issues imposed on these large events by guest and home populations, popping from one server to another to get guaranteed loot drops is just bad form. Play the game on your server. Guest for the purposes of running with friends or exploring a new home but if your player killed Jormag’s Claw once today… Stay Away or roll an alt on your home server.
That said, here’s the suggestions:
- Boss chests should be locked out per character regardless of the server the chest is opened on
- Guild influence should only be accrued while on your home or overflow servers
- Guests should be the kicked to overflow servers to allow the home population access to their events should population require it
- There should be a 30 day grace period upon account activation before world transfers cost gems
1 and 2 encourage players not to abuse the guesting option and still allow friends to play together. 3 prioritizes the native server population because the guesting option should not exclude others from playing their game. 4 is just the way it should be since you never know what you’re getting when you first pick a home world.
3 and 4 have some valid points behind,
But 1 and 2 will change guesting into “go for resources nodes” feature.
I managed to finish all the daily tasks as of this morning for yesterdays daily. Not that I was surprised, but I think some sort of event reward, level appropriate chest reward, or something else could be implemented to give players an incentive to pursue completion of all events on the list.
You already have something additional for doing all dailies:
Achievement points ;-)

Your ideas have some nice pros.
But there are few points i don’t like.
1) "- Members representing a Minor Guild allied with a Major Guild split all influence gain in half with both guilds. "
It will just boost Major guilds, and cripple minor guilds.
Lets say GuildA(100members) take GuildB (20members) as an ally. After a month GuildA finds another guild – GuildC (30 members). GuildA doesn’t have Influ to boost “politics”, so it kicks GuildB and invites GuildC. As a result GuildB Looses half of a monthly Influence.
2) You haven’t talked about any other guild upgrades besides missions. Do minor guild members use major guild upgrades? (exp, gathering, magic find bonuses?)
3) “Members representing a Major Guild see only their own chat channel, and not the channels of any of the Minor Guilds.”
Why shouldn’t there be Ally chat for all, besides minor/major guild chats?
It’s not that “space bar” acts like “enter” it’s rather an issue with “search input” that starts to search when you stop typing.
And “backspace” doesn’t go back, it just starts an new search which shows the previous results, or turns off the search overlay if you delete all text in the search control.

This sounds great, Anet are trying to ban multi-accounts being driven by a macro .. but it entirely fails to mention hardware/software KVMs and key/mouse ‘echoers’ which can broadcast that single keystroke to multiple processes/PCs.
Thus, it’s perfectly within the ‘rules’ to program a macro that performs one action on one account, while something other than the macro makes it work on other accounts, since the playing of the keystroke on other systems isn’t part of the macro and so isn’t covered at all by this policy statement.
…
As for me it runs under the 4 point from the DualBoxing section:
4. And as stated above, you may not program your keyboard to perform functions on more than one account at a time.
a. For example, if you press W on your keyboard to move forward, a single character on a single account should move forward. The keystroke or mouse click should not perform functions on more than one account
So your example of "hardware/software KVMs and key/mouse ‘echoers’ " falls under “this policy statement”
It doesn’t really matter much ;-)
Crafting is now used mainly to get some easy exp.
But there are some points to consider:
1) do you use custom utilities, like foods – that could suggest “chef” (check http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Nourishment)
2) you want some craftable skin – weapon/armorsmith
3) you have more metalic / wooden / jewel / leather mats -> specific profession.
4) you’re going for a specific legendary -> need some profession maxed out.
5) don’t have many cash → check guides to see which is cheaper to max out ;-)
6) want to earn money with crafting → think ;-)
Have you tried making other character without special signs “ö”.
You probably should file a support ticket:
https://en.support.guildwars2.com/
And ask for character name change to “Seior” or something that would be acceptable to you.
I’m glad it helped ;-)

You probably should contact support.
And later delete all IPs that aren’t yours (wait to check whether support is interested in them).
If you want to change the server, you can pay for it in gems (obtainable by ingame gold), or you can delete all existing characters and transfer servers for free.
If you lost something valuable you could ask about restoration of your account. It depends if you lost something or not. Maybe you characters were used as gold farmers, and you have more stuff now ;-)

Have you tried changing interface size in you options?
When you using other sizes then normal, sometimes TP has problems with fonts.
I change the size of the interface each time i want to spend some time with TP.
Do you use any script blocking adds/apps?
This forum apart from guildwars2.com scripts uses also scripts from “cloudfront.net” (info: http://aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/).
When you block the scripts from cloudfront you lose font management, many of logged_in functions, all that is left is “permalink”.
So try to unblock cloudfront, or try to logout/login couple of times.
You can post a support ticket without registering the support account.
To check the ticket progress you have to use the mail you provided and contact by this mail.
Support account is something NOT connected with Your game account, so if he haven’t created the support account he won’t log into it.
Did he checked the account or not?
And on another side note, I’d like to explain that the “character development” portion of my findings are fueled by the philosophy that the journey to 80 is mostly mine to bear, what comes after is where I show off everything I’ve built.
Maybe you’re just wrong… How you want to shine in group activities when you don’t learn how to do group activities with your character.
When I’m just meandering about in zones, it isn’t about playing with people, it’s about finding my character’s balance.
This time you’re definitively wrong. GW2 is not single player game, where you “meander” , and later take the character to some MMO Lobby, it’s about playing MMO since beginning.
This is just on behalf of myself and a few of my friends who all kinda “do our own thing” and are tired of having to back away from what would seem like a fun event, just because we see that ever-menacing gold crest
Then don’t back away. Some champs are meant to be played with a group. And the fun of them is making/finding the group to do them.
Leave some hard Champions alone, cause it’s fun to take them out, when you will find a group.
You can’t make everything here solo-able, cause it takes away all reasons of finding a group to play with. It takes away the sense of MMO.
There were moments in Personal Story when you got a mail with “important information”.
So check you incoming mails, whether you got some.
And check whether other mails aren’t blocking you incoming mails, cause it happens sometimes, so clear some space ;-)
when discovering recipes you need:
insignia + part1 + part2 -> discover…
For each weapon/armor in a tier there are parts – look for them in the simple recipe you got free, you get recipes for the insignia for free.
Insignias decide which stats you have on the weapon/armor
p.s
or you can look for a guide by googling: “gw2 ‘profession’ guide”
If you have a ticket number than wait for the support… you will gain nothing here on forum
Have you changed the password?
Ya I asked for it…. but I thought we were supposed to get a email to authenticate a new IP range when it attempted to log in… the hacker IP was not close to mine at all… yet I got no email….
Are you sure that your e-mail isn’t compromised too?
You know that besides dungeons, party allowes you only fro easier chat/map interaction. Cause buffs aren’t party only, and characters from outside fo the party get them too ?
Well i want to play due to the fact that i like the game? I just can’t find a profession to stick to, but good to know someone wants me to quit from asking a question. Like i stated, i can’t stick to one profession, i tend to wander off and play another deleting the previous one sometimes, that’s why i’m asking if someone can just set a Race + Profession combo for me so i can force myself stick with, and not wander off to another profession again :/
1.a)Make an Asura.
1.b)Go for Warrior
2)Farm cash for buying 35 character slots
3) Make all other race/class combinations – never get bored with the char → PROFIT
Quaggan Minion Necro would be IMBA!!!!
Don’t add this pls …. xD xD xD
There was bug with daily progress not updating correctly when players had bad local time in their computer. Progress was calculated correctly, but the wasn’t showed to the user.
Recheck time, and check if your daily objectives are same as others.
@Qnopsik El Qox
A bit of theory which came out of years of practice. As Gaile said, I don’t need to know how the sausage is made, I just eat it.
@Michael.4791:
Yep you don’t need to know, but when you start shouting:
“Maybe they add rats, nuclear and some other waste in our food” (your post about blacklisting similar passes)
And later others start:
“Oh Gosh, oh gosh, nuclear waste in my sausage is bad” (post about MD5 of similar passes)
Then i say: Stop bullkitten gossiping.
@Rajani Isa.6294
You could warn Us a week ago… ;-)
I’m against direct trading, but COD mails could be quite useful, when you want to trade with specific someone, that you don’t yet know enough to trust.
Add a cost of COD bigger than TP, for example 20%, so it won’t create black market, and it will have it’s specific use.

Just know that I’ve had to buy a new computer, with a new operating system and switch to a new ISP for faster speeds to play GW2. I never had the frequency of disconnections in GW1.
It’s difficult to communicate with my ISP support, but before I call them I’m going to try to lower firewall settings and check the ports.
Given the large number of Error 7 issues AND the fact that this isn’t the first MMO Anet has released…
Why does it have to be on my end to make the game playable?
Sorry…. but are you serious?
If you buy a Car, do you ask its manufacturer to build a road between your garage and your workplace?
So think that:
car = gw2
garage = your computer
workplace = gw2 server
and
road = internet connection?

Guys don’t freak out… nobody from ANet said anything about similar passwords.
Check yourself…
Stop kitten gossiping!!!
Michael.4791 said
So, Anet blacklisted those combinations and maybe some small variants from it (just like I explained).
latter:
MD5 hash code doesn’t indicate what changed when you compare two passwords. It isn’t generated linearly. Let me give you some examples.
md5(“password1”) = “7c6a180b36896a0a8c02787eeafb0e4c”
md5(“password2”) = “6cb75f652a9b52798eb6cf2201057c73”You can’t say these passwords are similar. Wait! You can’t even check how long they are as hash has always 32 chars (it’s 32 bit coding). Now, I ask ANet how they managed to do the impossible assuming they really hash our passwords. If they don’t it would be.. huge affair.
Oh… so last couple of posts are… a big pile of gossiped bullkitten
Edit:
p.s.
Michael.4791 STOP
please stop….
Stop theorizing.

So stop flood. FT needs in BUFF, Engi needs in BUFF – that’s it.
Dunno if you have any valid point against ENGI damage – haven’t played it myself, but you sound like a Kitten:
“I play WvW in a kitten way, buff me, BUFF me…”
Stonemist castle – A server that holds stonemist castle for 3 – 5 days will be rewarded with 1,500 points for the entire server
Stonemist castle – A server that takes stonemist castle will receive 500 points for all those who participated
Whats the reason to hold SM for 3-5 days, if you could just cooperate with other servers and switch SM 30 times a day – that would give each server 10 times a day → 5000 achievement points a day
=
No more WvWvW on Eternal map… just Cooping for more achievements.
As for other points/changes – everybody would “have to” be commander, in a week or two community would chosen map/server for farming WvW, for example eternal map with rules: no keep defending, no tower defending, badges farming – no self heal zones,
=
No more WvWvW
Grim Jr.8946 you just killed WvWvW,
p.s. we have enough farming of “badge of jumping” into Legendary.
I already saw lots of “JP = NoKill zone” kittening around here…
THE MAIN DRAW OF AN MMO IS INTERACTION…dueling is one of the top reasons i choose to play an MMO..my character that i worked hard on vs. your character that you worked hard on
IF dueling is the main reason for buying MMO for you, than you could KITTENing buy a game with OpenWorldDueling
GW2 was build about Social Cooperation and it was a main reason for buying it by many people.
Will you give those people their money back?
They chosen the game with the current design.
You had full knowledge about the GW2 design, if you wanted to duel, you could buy a game that allows you to Duel. You preferred gw2 instead “the game with dueling” so it was your choice.
GW2 Devs are working on personal arenas, to give you dueling, or something similar to it.
Don’t destroy the game for others, by changing the game for others.
Yeah I can talk to Kimmes in GW2 and he just tells me about a old hero, so i guess I need GWEN, sigh another $20 I gotta spend, lol
Wow, i saw EotN for twice less recently.
I will advice once more use the HoM calculator to check the prices you will get… and if it is worth to buy it ;-)
trust me kiwi, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me myself either. And yeah I hope they can do something, not everyday you see someone salvage a legendary … right?
Sorry for your loss…
.
.
.
not
For me it’s just begging for attention…
“Oh guys i just chopped my hand off, maybe they will grow a new one for me.”
F%^#&ING FIX THIS BUG ANET!!!
And I will add some advice, as I adviced in other “100%=no gift” threads:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/100-World-Completion-no-rewards-1/first
REVISIT ALL MAPS, including:
Receive gifts,
And stop QQing.
edit edit: *sigh. Second time running to each map and I finally found it.
A missing reward? Or it popped out without any obvious reason?
What map was your last one?
To me, that’s going way too far and doesn’t make much sense unless someone at Arenanet was concerned that stored GW2 passwords had been compromised at some point in the past.
Here’s the reason for this behavio:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/mike-obrien-on-account-security/
and specific quote:
Because this has been so successful at protecting new accounts, we want to extend it to protect existing accounts too. But it’s harder for us to know whether passwords of existing accounts are known to hackers: it’s difficult to distinguish between a login attempt by the real customer and a login attempt by a hacker. So we’ll take the safe approach and ask all existing customers to change their passwords, and blacklist everyone’s old password in the process.
As you have to pay 1800 gems to transfer why are we forced to buy a minimum for two gem packs to achieve this (800+1600) could you not have a package that just offers the 1800gems or a straight cash charge instead????
You can buy the 1600 packet, and rest buy for ingame gold and exchange it to gems
I did my monthly recently, and there wasn’t a problem with two chest same time. Did you have enough inventory space for the jugs?

City you see here, is usually a city registered by you ISP as its’ main city, so it can be less exact. ;-)
All benefits from GW1 are counted as achievements from Hall of Monuments.
To register any kind of achievements in HoM you have to have access it, so you have to do first couple of quests from EyeoftheNorth Expansion.
I’m not sure, but probably gw1 title “GWAMM” doesn’t need registering in HoM, and benefits of it could be acquired in gw2 without EotN
I saw recently many cheaper editions of EotN, so you have to count the benefits of buying it.

Dunno… maybe it’s magic, but i don’t have any different folder in my documents…
But it’s not on topic…
I would transfer only the main *.dat file.
Alright, so as the title says. I finally got 100% World Completion tonight, and got the Been There, Done That achievement. However, I didn’t get any rewards, is there anything I need to do first?
I tried going to Chantry of Secrets.
I tried going to all of the main cities.
Currently visiting all the old maps (for the food skills point bug)But as far as I am aware, these only effect actually obtaining 100%. Has this happened to anyone else before
? What do I need to do.
Have you revisited all 4 WvW maps?
Have you revisited all areas?
I had 2 friends with exact the same problem… and each time it ended with. “Oh… I haven’t accepted the reward here”…
And each of them was so sure it wasn’t he’s issue, but a bug…
As I said in the other “100% = no gift” thread:
100% doesn’t mean you have to get the gift…
Dunno if it wasn’t intended this way or not, but you get the gift after taking/receiving all the rewards for visiting all the maps/areas.You may have all POIs/Vistas/100% on map, but you could have forgot to take the reward for one of the maps => no gift for you.
So revisit all the maps/areas starting from “Chantry of Secrets”.
Dunno it is the same problem, but:
On quests where something spawns, triggers just after loading, I had problems when my friends loaded before me to my personal story.
It seems that part of the PS process recognized the first person loading and triggered when he/she moved. But a seconds later when owner of the personal story loaded, game waited for him to encounter the first trigger, and he couldn’t cause the trigger wasn’t there.
So when doing Personals with friends we always wait for everybody to log into before moving.
Dunno if it makes a difference, but was your precursor soul-bind?
As it is a 3rd party interface/product maybe they can’t rename it, for licensing issues ;-)
Have you visited once more all maps/areas, and the Chantry of secrets?
100% doesn’t mean you have to get the gift…
Dunno if it wasn’t intended this way or not, but you get the gift after taking/receiving all the rewards for visiting all the maps/areas.

-instal the game on the second PC (only the launcher), once it starts downloading the client. cancel the download and close the laucher.
-Copy the game folder from original PC, and just paste it replacing the game folder on the new PC.
-Start the launcher again, enjoy
I would advice copying only the *.dat file (the big data one, not the local.dat). So no problems with preferences and PC specific options.
With the size of possible post, it would make cookies HUUUUGE…
If you really want the possibility to recover text use external means. For example in FF you can use AddOns (one of them: Form Recovery)
I don’t think that deleting/editing original post should change the quote.
Someone answers to specific part of your statement, and quoting is internal part of his statement. Changing he quote would change his post, and that would be bad.
