If ANets intention is to alienate and poop on WvW guilds/players, they are on the right path with this guild quest mamby pamby PvE land crap.
Great fights against Yak’s and BD this week. Been a nice change of pace. Great opponents and good sportsmanship all around.
I think people’s definition of what a “zerg” is changes from post to post and conversation to conversation. From what I understand of what a “zerg” is:
1. Any group of players that has more people than you.
2. Any group of players that has more numbers and kills you.
3. A large amount of players.
4. A large amount of players moving around together.
5. A large amount of players that has more people than you and moving together.
6. An unorganized group of a large amount of players that has more players than you.
7. A title to indicate a save-face term that helps you feel better when you die to a large number of players that outnumber you and have more people than you that move around in either a coordinated or uncoordinated fashion which always implies your death was to a bunch of zerging unskilled people.
8. A bunch of people on your screen because you can’t count.
Basically, that is what a zerg is, from what I have read over the years of gaming. It always changes from person to person.
A zerg can zerg a zerg and move better than another zerg while being zerged by a zerg and defeat a zerg in a coordinated better zerg. And if you get zerged its because a zerg is bad and you are better because a zerg is always bad but because you die its not your faults its because of a zerg.
So you can feel better dying to zergs because you are better because you are not in a zerg when you get zerged. Unless it is a coordinated zerg that meant to zerg.
Make sense?
Fort Aspenwood is very strong except for the time zone listed in this post. We have very coordinated NA primetime and Western EU primtime coverage.
If you are a guild/group of people that want to help make something and shape it into something amazing, Fort Aspenwood is the place for you.
Your guild/group doesn’t have to worry about carrying a server or being relied upon to save it. You don’t need that stress or expectation. We need players that want to come and kill people in a time slot that is wide open and ripe for killing enemies. You won’t have to compete for kills or queues on Fort Aspenwood.
Good fights this week, weekly recap video below. Good luck to everyone on reset!
hello this is score update
p.s. Quenta, please post a video of us portalling our Omega on top of BT, please and thank you.
Aww, you cut it too short. The best part was portaling it on top of a random catapult you built. (I get why you edited it that way though.)
I actually didn’t start recording until the golem was on top of us. It was a big WTF moment and I hit the record button.

Seriously though, badges are good, I am just running out of room (see picture).
Well it was fun killing gods and BT when they had equal numbers, but I see the zergballs are beginning! Here’s to a happy treb war.
BT can breathe and make sounds in outer space.
I made a tutorial not to long ago on how to make badges easily in WvW:
Just want to say thanks to everyone from FA who voted for my video in the guildwars2guru fan competition. I was one of the grand prize winners with my “Respawn Maybe” submission. THANK YOU. A million times, THANK YOU.
We are playing a new game lately.
If you see anyone from [BT] chuck gears at them. Whoever gets the most hits wins.
BT was found being raised by a family of Silverback Gorillas. After BT was fully grown, they took over the world.
That was when God brought the flood.
It is widely assumed that BT survived the great flood holding their breath for 40 days and 40 nights in the flood drowned Earth.
It is in that water the art of water combat was brought into GW2.
DBs (being represented by Blood Pact) early morning 15 golem rush did not work on FA. Oh, and it has a funny ending.
And speaking as a Maguuma player, I haven’t noticed anything like that about BT except they like to run in circles and seem to do fake siege attempts on towers to catch our newbies out in the field. (I suspect they’re fake simply because they’re so sloppy – BT, stick to what you do best.)
BT once breathed on a Maguuma tower and it immediately turned into a princess.
Good fights so far against DB:
BT created WvW.
I’d like to open up the first real discussion on the topic of Gears.
Good fights yesterday to everyone, was a blast.
Similar to the previously seen, now removed, Golems being thrown around, these items have an equally questionable but more nasty effect, perma stunning someone by spamming easily obtained consumables.
Are these intended for WvW use?
Really got to hand it to FA. They don’t have much in the way of individual skill, but the sheer size of the zergs they run makes it not even matter. Really tough opponents.
I heard OG could defeat a zerg.
OG refuses to hang around for a fight that has an opponent with half their numbers. With them its “insta-gank” or run. Just my experiences with them. If I am in a small group of 3 then at least 8 OG will roll through and insta kill cuz they can, mean while their entire BL is being owned by another server but they could care less.
Kind of like this:
Glad you all enjoyed it. Thank you for the positive comments :-)
“You have been blocked by the owner of this video.”
Oh. Can’t take criticism. You’ll fit in well here.
You can troll on this forum if you want, but I will just ban you from my YouTube channel for doing it there. Sorry, behave more.
Here it is. Your final stop. The finest GW2 fights in the history of GW2. Probably ever.
Q: So how many BT does it take to kill on person?
A: A whole zerg.This is funny cause it’s true.
No trolling in my post here, this is totally and unabashedly honest:
I can’t tell you how happy I am for you to say that.
I will let my next video (the funny one) show how ironic your QQ tears of BT zerging is music to my ears, and how relevant and amazing it makes this video. Just wait. It’s going to be amazing.
More zerging videos?! Can’t wait..
15 minutes and you get all the zerging you can stomach. It’s a compilation of the most amazing WvW fights in the history of GW2.

In WvW, everyone has 0 allies and 2 enemies.
You are always, by design, being double teamed.
Like I said double team happens. But DB’s whole strategy revolves around it to compensate for something.
I wouldn’t say that what DB does is any different than what any other server does. It certainly is not Machaveillian. It’s just DB solidifying their position in a logical manner.
If DB truly desired to win the match up, they would wisely court themselves to Maguumas WvW guilds to team up on FA. Now that would be cunning and interesting.

I really wish Maguuma would come out and just play for the love of the game. DB though, classy and fun all around.
Just curious why GW2 is so CPU intensive. Will there be any change to this?
From the Maguuma side of things, I think it’s clear that Maguuma is trying to throw the match. Because the cure for 5 solid weeks of 1-sided matches is more 1-sided matches. Because Maguuma borderlands with the home advantage is the only borderlands worth playing. Being forced into any of the other 3 servers is unacceptable and we won’t stop throwing matches until our home borderlands is permanently under the pop cap.
We’re not purposely trying to throw the match, a lot of us are just seriously burned out right now.
Just go out and kill people, that is where the fun is. The points don’t matter.
For every opponent you defeat, your realm should get a point on the score board.
Highlights against TC this week.
Is the #9 skill flesh wurm? How do you usually use that? Do you use it as a escape mechanic or put it in a middle of a zerg and teleport to it for the poison effect?
I’m trying to get used to my necro in WvW. I like running with axe/focus and staff. My utils are well of corruption, well of darkness, and w/e else (usually spectral walk). My elite is flesh golem, but have been contemplating plague.
You definitely want to run plague as a necro in WvW.
I would suggest people roll with more than 5-10 people stop banging their heads against a wall of 25+ people and roll with more people if they want to succeed in more in WvW engagements.
Why? Why should there be an artificial cap to protect these zergers? Whether you live or die should be based on skill, not based on anet coddling you so that you never have to get better. Whether it’s 10 people or 100, if they stand in the red circles, tough kitten.
It’s not an artificial cap, it’s clearly in the game.
If you are finding it difficult to succeed in WvW at its current state, you must adapt. You can continue to be frustrated that the current mechanics do not favor your particular play style, but you can do something about it in the interim (i.e., play with more people). Because until ANet decides to favor very small groups against large groups of players, I am afraid you will continue to be disappointed with the current WvW mechanics.
Are you really making the argument rez/rally doessent benefit the side with the numbers?
The benefit is equal to all parties as are the results of the mechanic. If you don’t down your opponent faster than they down you, you risk rallying more of your opponents. This can happen with any amount of people in an engagement.
In fact, I would go as far to say that a very skilled, small group that can tag more opponents have the ability to rally off their opponents deaths more effectively than a smaller group. A smaller group (vs a larger group) has a larger pool of enemies to target and have the possibility to rally off of. A larger group has a limited amount of players to rally off of.
Either way, you have to kill faster than your opponent or you lose.
I… I… agree with Bunzy.
(not about combo fields, that’s ridiculous)
You don’t agree that larger groups are able to stack ridiculous amounts of boons due to all the combo fields going off?
And why shouldn’t a larger group of players be able to stack ‘ridiculous amounts’ (which is very subjective btw, boons have a limit to how much they can be stacked) boons? More players, more boons? Seems pretty legitimate and fair.
What I am getting from most of the OP and the guildies that identify with the OP is that they believe they are skilled and should therefore be able to rock large groups of players with significantly fewer numbers.
It appears the request to ANet is to give a small amount of players a greater advantage over bigger numbers of players.
But it already works like this. We have all seen groups that have wiped larger numbered opponents with smaller numbers.
I would suggest people roll with more than 5-10 people stop banging their heads against a wall of 25+ people if they want to succeed in more in WvW engagements.

Question:
Will our current progress in WvW (badges, kills, etc) count towards the future ranks/rewards in WvW or does everyone start on a clean slate?
Highlights against TC this week.
Got some good footage of some good fights against BG. TC video coming soon as well :-)
Great fights against TC and BG tonight in TC BL. Was a lot of fun.
The only reason you see the score on FA so low a lot of the time is because Terrible Coast never attacks anyone else other than FA. So BG being the opportunists they are take full advantage of this and attack us as well.
I am not complaining however, I love it, keep it coming guys, the more zergs come at us the more loot bags. O soooo many loot bags tonight and spent more than half the night on Yak escorting. Only time I died was against a few awesome TC thieves whilst guiding the yak and at SMC with the entire ICOA and TC server coming down on us at the same time and still held it for 2 wipes of BG and 1 wipe of TC.
Good fun this matchup.
If you spend all day trying to sweep TCBL, don’t be surprised if we come back to your BL. Maybe if FA spent less time in our BL we both could go after BG, but you guys refuse to focus on BG and focus on us. It’s a two way street.
And we currently own more in Blackgate BG than you do.
But you have such tasty zergs in your BL. Points are worthless. Your bags have worth.
Interested to see how the fights are during the weekdays.
Minions are still broken, but I WvW all the time and Minions are useless.
Come to think of it, they are useless in PvE too.
Oh… that looks fun. Standard question: what’s the build? And how the heck did you have 46k HP at one point? Something to do with Plague Form I’m guessing…
Also, I was surprised to see you using Plague instead of Lich like most Power necros I see.
Lich is horrible in WvW. It just screams, “COME AND KILL ME”.
More importantly, plague form is much more beneficial in WvW. It is a great control mechanic, support mechanic and excellent to use if you need to get away. Plague is just awesome for WvW.

I’m curious as to your gear setup and trait lines. I will venture a guess that you run 30/20/20/0/0? I see that you use ground targeting for wells but curious if you use the trait that makes fear deal damage or go with chilling darkness to freeze enemies when you blind them with plague? I am new to the necro class and that is what i’m running but trying to get a feel for what other necros run in wvw for killing zergs. What gear sets do you use? Runes? Sigils?
Any help/info is much appreciated.
Ya, I am 30/20/20. Definitely Chilling Darkness when in plague. Its a killer when fighting zergs.
I use a complete Pow/Tou/Vit gear set. Superior Runes of Vampirism (saves your kitten so many times). Sigil of Bloodlust.
Good fights against everyone so far, been loads of fun.
