One possible solution. There are some champions that don’t drop any money but are difficult to kill. Perhaps either declassify them as champions, or have them drop money. If you had them drop money, then most probably people would not skip them as frequently.

Different dungeons have different set times that do not progress with the normal day/night cycle. So they will always be a specific time no matter what.
Some are day, and some are night.

I know in a past update, they made AC weapons glow in underground situations as well. I believe they did this because people were sad that they weren’t able to experience the glow of the weapons, but no one can say for certain. I have no idea whether this affects Sigil of the Night or not, all I know is that certain dungeons will always have AC weapons glowing all of the time.

I’ve decided to test something out.

According to the wiki, the time cycle is possible the following:

“Currently, the cycle lasts 2 hours with 80 minutes of day and 40 minutes of night, but this is subject to change before release.”

With that said, I am currently sitting in AC Exp with my sword out. I’m keeping an eye on it for the next 2 hours. But even if it glows blue the entire time, it is still not a definitive answer. If a dungeon was mapped as perma-night, does the Sigil of the Night still work?

I’m just curious. How many of you guys have read Edge of Destiny?

To keep this short, I’ll get to the point.

I want to maximize my efficiency running AC exp and CoF exp. I notice that my AC weapons glow while I’m in those dungeons. AC weapons only glow at night. I’d like to put a universally efficient Sigil on one weapon, Superior Sigil of the Night, but I am not sure if the damage would be equal to having two individual weapons, one for AC with Ghost Slaying and another for CoF for Flame Legion Slaying.

Thoughts?

[RR] runs fractals all the time, and looking through the influence logs, it doesn’t look like we’re getting influence from dungeons.

Further, does one fractals equal one dungeon? Does a fractal level equal one dungeon?

Nicolle, are you saying that, for getting ecto, using a Mystic Salvage kits is better than using a Basic-Master Salvage kit?

We got a new level 80 zone that isn’t Risen. Why can’t everyone be happy about that?

If you don’t consider going from basic to fine, fine to masterwork, masterwork to rare, rare to exotic a gear grind…then going from exotic to ascended shouldn’t be a gear grind either.

You just said that you receive more ectos using a basic than a BL. Did you mean the opposite, and do you know this from experience or…?

In your opinion, do you consider ecto as a “rarer material”? The fact that globs can’t be deposited, like mitril/ori, leads me to believe that ecto isn’t a material that categorized like mitril/ori. I always understood “rarer material” as in t5 to t6 kind of “rarer” upgrade.

I ask because I’m not sure if I should be using Basic Salvage kits or Master Salvage Kits on lvl68+ rares…?

“Housing” like GW1 style Guild Halls would be perfect.

I have not experienced a problem with loot drops.

Also, it could be a 1g consumable you need to purchase and you’d get an email or something.

I think it’s a great idea and would be a perfect way to money sink some money!

Just letting everyone know. The DE at Shelter’s Gate still works…is also full of bots as well.

Grub kills are not the antifarming…research people….

I put 4 Sapphire Mithril Earring of the Cleric into the Mystic Forge, click Forge, and the items disappear from the inventory, and that’s it.

I logged out fully and relaunched the game. Upon trying again with the same items…the items get “sucked up” in to the forge, and nothing happens again.

I’d rather they fix farming. This way the items I sell are worth more than a saturated market. Skill points and world completion are not as important as preserving the economy.

Good luck though. ArenaNet has programs working on both issues at the same time, so I don’t know why the assumption is that it isn’t.

I was just offering my pattern of game play so that we can figure out what the most optimal way of resetting the DR to it’s fullest existent.

Based off of your observations, it would seem that the DR has to do with monster types and pooling. Based off of my game play example, it would seem that the further away I get from killing Risen, or i streak in kills that aren’t risen actually, the lower the DR is for Risen, the monster type. So I guess the quickest way to lower the DR on a specific monster is to kill streak anything but that monster.

I’ll try this out tonight by counting the amount of non-risen monsters I kill after I’ve hit the DR for Risen.

Did you report them all like ArenaNet has been telling us to do?

Using an integrated video card may be your issue as it doesn’t pack enough punch.

As a comparision, a GTX 480, for $200, scores 3538.

Bottom line, your video card is not good enough for this game.

Speaking about the diminishing returns, since the last patch, I go to Orr, do the 4 DE’s that everyone does, and get severe;y diminished returns buy about 1.5 hours. (I have MF gear up to 138% at all times, btw if that matters.) Once the well runs dry, I go to Frostgorge Sound and then Queensdale to complete my daily. That’s about 45 minutes. After that, I go directly to the 4 DE’s in Orr again and everything is effectively reset because I get at least 1 yellow for every DE as well as lots of greens and blues. Then I go to LA and sell/TP whatever is left and mess with the Mystic Forge for a while. The next day I start in Orr again, and repeat.

btw, imagine if the only purpose of magic Find is to extend the diminishing returns window by an exponential amount of time?

You can’t farm one area infidelity. Try farming in a new area and report back to us “… lol”

First, the content not available is to curb an exploit from killing grubs. Information found via a search.

Second, it’s best practice to punish everyone when sorting out issues that may impede against the economy. To say it in terms that the internet can understand, “Economy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> you”. Information found from the history of all games that have an economy.

Third, ArenaNet said there is still a bug in place right now, after the latest patch, that is affecting dungeon rewards. Information found from a search.

A simple search could have resolved a majority of the concerns in this thread.

This is a perfect example as to why people get the impression that ArenaNet isn’t looking at these forums. There is more garbage to read than there is actual useful content.

They are aware of this issue and have said they are having difficulty pinpointing how it occurs.

I believe the siege life has to do with the total damage it can do. For example, if the arrow cart can give a total of 100,000 damage, once it reaches that limit, it disappears.

They can’t reset servers every day because they need us to report what is and is not working. Read the dev’s post again.

I hear ya man. Did you take screenshots? The usually don’t do anything if there isn’t proof.
