As for reopening Worlds 1 and 2 as they existed before

It’s still in game (technically) . That file that is used for the Tyria 3D exploration, shows all the collision models for all maps, and it’s saved in our current “.dat” file, within each of our GW2 folders.
SAB is still inside, somewhere, as it was before. Not sure if the Textures for it are there, but more than likely.

They just need to re-instate the content , check for bugs since the last time it was used, then make sure all the globals, Booleans, and other event commands work. Not much more after that.

The way I see it is, they don’t want it open until a new world is ready, or they don’t want it to mess with LW and the expansion story (maybe both).

I don’t see why they just can’t remove it completely from the LW story, and just bring it back out of the blue, anytime they need a content filler (each year), same with other old content.

I love SW, but dislike the lack of WP’s, but tbh, if it wasn’t for lag, I’d play it more. Only been getting lag in DT and SW.
No portal yet, but meh, who cares.

Meh, running out things to say tbh, it falls on death ears, and Anet have too much to do, so I’m ducking out until HoT is done, then I’ll claw their backs to get SAB in-game!

My friend’s entire guild were bored during LWS2, but some stayed until the end. Now all my guildies that came to this game with me a few years back, have all but moved on to other games, barely 3 out of 25+ of us remain in GW2 :/
I find myself afking more now than usual, or simply not bothering to log on much. That being said, the population is still high, but so many are just bored in PvE, unless they have something to make as a goal (fracs/Legendary/leveling ect).

To be fair though, what can Anet do? Busy with HoT, though it feels like they clearly messed up by not giving us content to keep us from being bored, after LWS2 ended. Especially with the amount of time it’s taken.

I’m hoping they don’t screw up Necro GS next, by using similar stuff that Mesmer had.. God I hated pressing skill 1 on Mesmer GS with that spinny-floating blade.

I’m not a fan of DT or SW, don’t really enjoy my time in those maps as much, but some of it is personal, like Lag.
I’ll probably not grind as much, but who cares, Open Beta will still come even if you miss this one?

Give me a Dolphin/Shark tonic, then maybe I’ll spend my time in the depths of Tyria’s oceans.

I don’t do it often, but love it being in game.

The best thing to do is check the patch notes. Some days when we get patches, they change what items are being sold in the gem store.

I personally liked the fall damage reduction in traits as it is, and I wouldn’t care if it stays or goes in the future.

If they wanted to remove it, they could just have it so you gain a 15 minute fall damage reduction after capturing a certain area in WvW. Some locations in WvW could offer different advantages.

You already can add your own playlist to replace the game’s music.

Would be very awkward if anyone had a playlist active that others could hear lol.
Think of it, LA or DR, everyone standing AFK, blasting their own tunes. You’d have to
have their music off all the time, considering how many players there are.

I think their current optional playlist function is cool as it is.
Just need to make a playlist for each scenario, with M3U files lists.

I personally think the only thing stopping the trinity from being around is the fact we don’t have a full-on “Healer only class”. We already have DPS, Ranged classes, Tanks etc. Of course, I kinda like the ability to be self reliant on any class, and I don’t really want the trinity.

For me, I’d prefer it to not be trinity based, but there is already the possibility of players somehow using a trinity formation if they had a team of characters based on those builds (Defensive tank/Zerk Warr/Thief/Healing Engie or Ele).

Honestly, now, or a year from now, SAB will be back.
I don’t regret buying that coin, as it got me threw the tribulation modes. I’m definitely far from happy about the long gaps we have from one period of time we get to play SAB , to the next time we get to play. Seems way to long, for something as entertaining as it is.

Engie has always been my favorite, and although I never cared for the hobo sack tool kit issue, I’m so glad they decided to remove it anyway.

Secondly, I need advise on gear for Tidus… Really want to keep him, but the mixture of black/yellow upper armor, with nothing covering the legs and shorts, is quite hard to find.
Any ideas on good Tidus armor would be appreciated.

Speaking of Wings, as well as being marketing leader, do you know when they plan on bringing them wings back? Or the SAB Boom boxes, the Wizard Hat (The list could go onnnn). :P

Although they have said all that they plan on telling us, i do agree with the others, that a little discussion here and there from the team would be nice. When HoT is done, a few posts talking about world 3 or just reviving SAB in general would be appreciated, even if it’s several months away.

And just a little response on this thread, to explain their ideas for world 3, would at least make it feel like I’m not gonna be viewing this thread for another year without a clue when they plan on looking into SAB again.

Sure, I remember hearing that “there won’t be any content during the process of developing HoT”, or something along those lines, but even so, doesn’t change the fact it is a terrible idea to leave us with nothing to occupy our time and money.

It definitely has to be a light armor skin, since the character is an ele. Just open up the wardrobe, filter it to all light armor, then browse around. Looks like it might be the heritage HoM skin.

And the hat? Haven’t seen in in the wardrobe. Hear some say it’s from HoM, while others say very old Gem store item… :/

1. Lack of news regarding the weapon skills and animations for Necromancer’s GS and other advanced classes. Of course you are working on it all still, but I’m just being a bit impatient here atm… Need to see the skills, and given the fact that Marjory is the only GS wielding Necro atm, I can’t judge, yet.
I mean, look at Caithe’s Thief skills that are completely different to normal thief attacks. I just want to know, what animations and attacks we are gonna get. Is it some some cool DPS animations…. OR are we gonna be lumbered with lame GS skills that kinda resemble the Mesmer GS? ..with… a floating sword? Skill 5 was the only good thing with GS Mesmer, the rest was crap…. :/

2. No content to fill in the long wait after S2 ended (should have thought ahead).
3. SAB is still missing (with or without World 3).
4. SAB minis teased on SAB anniversary, but no news or official discussions regarding the matter, not one. Didn’t even add the Boom Boxes either… meh <.<

5. Poor sales decisions, regarding old skins & armors. If you actually revived S1 skins on to the gem store, as well as other skins, you’d sell a heck of a lot more, especially when most of them cannot be obtained anymore.

6. Poor hair choices (not all of them), as there are not enough decent hair styles, just some out-of-this-world styles that, half the time don’t even make sense. I mean if you are gonna do cool and crazy hairstyles for Humans (and other races), use Final Fantasy as a good example. Hell, then always had the coolest hair. Some of your weird styles have just been “meh” at best. Give us some Cloud Strife hair.
A lot of your average hairstyles are not so bad though.

Immersion breaking, or not. SAB was in the Season1 story, and it isn’t something “necessary” to do, unless you want the skins. Yes, you will always get people moaning with EVERY little batch of content, and half the time it’s not even justified, just something someone doesn’t agree with.
I can say at least 70% of the “SAB” fans will not care if world 3 is not in the next release yet. Still, the remaining 30% plus those who just don’t care, might kick up a fuss about it.

Realistically, ANet would have to do as Lord Krall mentioned, and go threw SAB for a while
-fixing bugs and integrating the old data from SAB with Season 2’s patches. That takes time and they don’t wanna work on that yet. Fair enough…

Still, if only the cheap kittens had an extra team to work on old content for the time being, to keep people calm
…or we just get bored and do something else for the next few months. They should have thought this threw really, before they decided to leave us in the dark. They could have at least given us a content patch from S1, after the S2 had finished. Then we’d have something to do for the next 4 months.

You probably won’t need more than 8, unless you are into Roleplaying and creating alts for other reasons.

I would be all for mounts on the condition they’re not a mindless speed buff with aesthetics attached. There’s an opportunity here to put a twist on mounts that would make them similar with a Guild Wars flair to it.

Exactly. Not everything to do with Mounts is based just on buffing the speed. We have a cosmetic type mount already, if you include the broom. And “events based on mounts”, I agree with fully and would love.

This is very common these last few months. Nothing new here, just report/block as suggested above.
Must admit, I haven’t seen that “change email” version of the mail scams, but the other 2 are very common.
Even if it didn’t have a message at the bottom informing you that it was not sent by ANet, the poor sentence structures, and missed out words made it a little obvious.

WoW, FF14 and SWTOR are all successful.
It just so happens that 3/4 of the top 5 most popular mmorpgs have a subscription.

The thing that helps SWTOR stay popular, is that even if you play F2P, the minute you start spending a bit of cash on the CC (Cash Cartel = Gem store), your account goes up to a “preferred” subscription status.
And if you wanted to pay for a reoccurring subscription, you could even pay by text, instead of having to give your card details out. Their in-game store also has a wide range of stuff to keep players interested in purchasing items.

That being said, I think it’s way too far-gone for GW2 to switch over, and I don’t think I’d play as much if that were the case. If they had a wider variety on their gem store and brought back some extra old items and skins, they’d get more funds. That, and if they’d put out some old content while we wait for HoT, the game would be better for it.
