Except that Hammer skill 4 is bugged and makes the Hammer much more clunky than it already is.
This looks a lot like my build.
So yeah I’m Arthas.
The thing that kitten es me off is when it tries to combine words like, “thakittening”.
Greatsword Whirlwind just makes me happy.
Ah.. ahah… hahahaah aaah.. oh ****..

I’m actually pretty upset right now I have 2.2k I have an 80 and top 500 in tPvP, and I’ll never get to see that helmet because I don’t enjoy PvE. I’m incredibly let down, at the moment. Being rewarded for being mindless over skillful is about a crack away from making me leave entirely.
Well, let’s not confuse mindless play with devotion of time.. Because playing PvE is certainly not mindless and neither is PvP.
If I were to have devoted my time to playing PvE instead of sPvP, I would have much more Achievement points. That is where the problem is, why should one type of play yield higher rewards than the other? It is not fair to sPvPers that they are forced to PvE to obtain these types of rewards, whereas PvEers can just continue doing PvE content and not even have to do PvP content, but still get more Achievement points.
Also the new event that is going on right now, the only way to obtain Kite Fortunes is by random drop or purchasing on the BLTC. sPvPers have absolutely no way to obtain them other than buying them from the BLTC with REAL MONEY. Because seriously, what sPvPer actually has the gold to spend on Gem transfer..?
(edited by Red Raven.7824)
That’s right everyone.
After the 500 chieve chest came in today, the reward for the 3k chieve chest was revealed and it is the Glove skin. So one could assume that you need 6k chieve points for the whole set.
As someone who really only PvPs I’ve barely made it to 2k achievement points. I’m not sure about the rest of you but I don’t see anyone who plays this game solely for PvP ever getting these new armor skins. Whereas some who just plays the game for PvE will have a much easier chance at obtaining these skins.
PvPers need easier access to achievement points or Anet needs to just change the entire acquisition of these Armor Skins for sPvPers altogether. (An Idea I had would be to have the skins unlocked at Mercenary for Gloves, Avenger for Shoulders, and Ransacker for Head.)
My Dead Characters for BEST Top Secret Warrior in the history of Guild Wars 2.
Been seeing too many negative threads lately. All these threads really do is just spiral the forum community into the ground.
I’d like to believe that Arenanet is trying their best to make a great and enjoyable game for everyone.
How about using Dogged March instead of Reflective shield and swapping Bullscharge for Endure Pain or Berserker Stance?
Hmm, but wouldn’t Dogged March just be out shined by Mobile Strikes? The reason I have Reflective Shield is because ranged classes can really pick me off atm.
Your traits need to be changed. You only need 20 in def. Pick up shield master and cleansing Ire. Believe it or not it helps you build adrenaline so fast it’s hilarious. Don’t carry 2 proc sigils. Proc sigils interfere with eachother’s cooldowns. Put intel sigil on your sword so fthrust always crits. just make sure you dodge count so they don’t get out of it. I’d go for a 0.10.20.20.20, if you’re trying to keep unsuspecting foe. Make sure you pick up empowered because you run lyssa and maybe burst mastery. You’ll want the extra 10% crit damage, it goes a long way with power builds. 2nd trait in tactics could be desperate power or empower allies for more power.
Currently I like where my traits are right now. 30 in Defense for Defy Pain helps out alot. I’ll try for a change in sigils on weapons, but I don’t think I’m going to use Sigil of Intelligence just because it’s for that one attack and I can’t always guarantee my target will be at 50% HP or less.
I never understood why people like using the sigil of superior fire…
I calculated the chances of it activating , and the chances are 14.4% only per hit without fury, and 20.4% with fury…
Basically, about every seven hit only without fury, and about five seconds with fury, so are you sure you want such a thing? it also has a five seconds cooldown…
Well, the reason people take Sigil of Fire instead of Sigil of Air is because Fire offers AOE damage. Sigil of Fire is great for builds that are lacking in AOE. The procs also hit for 1k or more on multiple targets, which is a big increase to DPS.
Here’s what I’m running, http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQRAnZ8ejcOxuBPGPMxBC0DskltcUMeloUYn6A-TwAg0CvIKSVkrITRyisFNsYZxGkJIA
I’m usually opening with Eviscerate (if at full adrenaline). If that drops them to half HP (or “near” 50%) I’ll swap to sword/shield and Shield Bash into a Final thrust for the kill. It can easily 2 shot light armored targets.
What I’m wondering is if there would be anyway to gain some more survivability out of this build without sacrificing too much damage for my Evis/Thrust combo.
I haven’t tried Melandru runes yet so those might be a good start.
Any suggestions will do.
What I don’t get is why does everyone think that Death Match is the best team oriented game type that Anet can offer you?
TDM is hardly team-based.. You just need that one really good player who can carry the whole team. That’s how it works in FPS and I don’t expect it to be any different except for that Flavor of the Month Classes will have a significant advantage.
If anything having a CTF game type would be much better for team-based combat.
We’re already zerging mindlessly in hotjoins, why the kitten would I want to play a game type that is especially made to mindlessly zerg. TDM is not the way to go.
I agree, the grind for cosmetics in sPvP is really really out of place.
I know everyone says that Guild Wars 1 had a huge grind and it took a long time to get top ranks. But guess what, this is not Guild Wars 1 and it never will be. Why try to keep the rank system from GW1 when Anet cannot even keep the same gametypes that GW1 had?
With Leaderboards currently FUBAR’d there is absolutely no point in going for top 100 (you also get nothing for being in the top 100, no titles, no armor). There really is no point in playing tourneys to progress in spvp because there IS no skill progression.
Rofl, this is so OP.
Why do you keep making these ridiculous threads.
I’ve never ever seen a game where conditions were a main mechanic. Conditions are ALWAYS a secondary mechanic used to bolster the character. It’s nonsensical to have pure condition builds since it’ll eventually degenerate into casting conditions then running in circles until they overwhelm your opponent.
If you have ever played wow, I remember the affliction lock + restoration druid combo in 2v2 arena. My god, that was broken as kitten.
Cast conditions on enemy and regeneration on allies and pillar hump till they die. Talk about stupid game design.
Let’s stay on topic though guys, we’re here to discuss about Guild Wars 2 not World of Warcraft.
I really enjoy reading everyone’s opinions on this issue, I’m glad to see everyone is having their own troubles with these recent changes. Not that I agree with all of them, but some of them just make it hard to enjoy this game.
Learn to counter conditions, try new builds, try new classes and stop this nonsensical, childish crying about conditions being too powerful.
I prefer to play Warrior. It is my favorite profession.
With that said, there is little I can do against a class that can apply more than 3 different types of conditions every 10 sec. Sure I can spec into full condition removal but then I lose all of my burst and since Warrior has little to no sustain I become useless on the field.
I have tried plenty of builds, none of which can withstand the pressure from Necro or Engi condition application.
Why is complaining about something that ruins the enjoyment of others considered nonsensical? Conditions annihilate my class in spvp and there is just about nothing I can do about it.

Ordering pizza and then updating this. Last chance to get your opinion in.
Five meat pizza is top tier.
At first people were crying for burst damage, then CC and now condis… wtf do you want exactly? Be happy necs don’t have 1 million hexes as they once did
That’s a silly thing to ask.
There is clearly an imbalance in how Conditions are applied and the ways to remove them.
Players want balance, that is why we speak out.
-Engineer and Necromancer condition upkeep is way too kitten high.
-Fear spam is breaking the game.
-Conditions have no Diminishing Returns.
-Necromancers NEVER needed access to Burn or Torment.
-AOE spam is now the new meta, hardly any need for focusing a target when you can just spam AOE and melt them down with conditions.
-Melee is totally obsolete without stealth to reset a fight.
-Professions without sufficient Cleanses will die to a prof that spams conditions within seconds.
-Warrior is now in an even worse state against conditions than it ever was before.
Tested it against my Necro school. Died in the first 30 seconds against a Terrormancer.
Not super effective, since it doesn’t do enough to neutralize a threat. It’s playing an attrition game against classes that are better at it. Nice try though, it’s good to see theory crafts like this.
Still going to stick to my A/S Rifle Warrior.
30sec is pretty long vs the current terrormancers though!
That is true!
Yeah I agree with you on that, The build is more or less a way to combat the increased amount of conditions being the new Meta in Tpvp now. The large health pool is its main defense against those conditions.
(edited by Red Raven.7824)
That sounds like a pretty big exaggeration.. 30 sec. Did you do anything in your defense when fighting the Necro? I’d just like to know what gave you that kind of result.. I’d like to say that 1v1 is not an accurate scenario in which to test a tpvp build though.
Conditions are melting us in tourneys even more than they used to since the patch. Necros are now the big bad guy and their upkeep on conditions is insane. Tourneys are now more focused on who can AOE the most and spread conditions.
I’ve been putting some work into this build and so far it’s gone beyond my expectations. It plays smoothly and doesn’t feel clunky or forced. It performs on par with everyone on your team so you don’t feel like you are being carried.
I really hope you guys try it out and see if it works well for you too.

HOLD IT! Rampage? O_O… I would say “Are you kidding me”, but I am not that great when it comes to making builds (even though my first one when the game launched, turns about to be one of the variations people used for their greatswords pre-patch XD)
Yes, Rampage indeed.
Signet of Rage offers nothing for a Bunker defending point.
Rampage provides the CC you need on point to lock out players who have limited access to stability.

Any good player
God, do I love this phrase.
What happens when those “good players” get stunned? How about when they run out of Dodge rolls because they are under too much pressure.
These types of assumptions are what really drags down the community. Even good players screw up and run out of options on the battlefield at some point.
Players have 3/4ths of a second to react to an Eviscerate. That’s a very small window of escape for the target, but it’s still avoidable. You assume that people will just spam their Eviscerate as soon as it’s up, rather than saving it for a set up.
When set up with a stun/root/knockdown/ you are guaranteed to hit.
People shelf their warriors when they get buffed? Huh..
Sorry Red Raven, Rank 30 and under only.
Dang didn’t know. Any reason as to why?

Warrior isn’t even viable in the tourney meta and these mesmers are crying about a minor nerf that won’t really change them in the long run?
What. The. Heck.
Why do players get so upitty about these things when it’s totally justifiable?
These mesmers are crying about the loss of build diversity but what they don’t seem to understand is that they will still at least have a viable build for the tourney meta.. whereas Warrior, will most likely after the patch still be in dead freakin’ last.
Unbelievable.
Black Powder/Well of Darkness and some others immediately reapply as long as you are in the area. None of those matter.
A wise man once said, “don’t stand in the fire.”
Yeah, if you’re standing in any of those for the duration you’re a total idiot.
Warriors are amazing but most people tend to play them wrong or misunderstand their purpose. I use my warrior for fast far pressure at the beginning of the game usually killing 1 or 2 people at far with ease then switching to close/mid roamer. I run 0/10/20/20/20 and you must be like whaaaa?! No glass no cannons. But believe me when I say dropping bunker eles in seconds, murdering that mesmer at treb before he could fire his first shot and stomping the enemy roamer thief with 100% health remaining never felt so good. With the new patch my build will be stronger yet again. Only thing warriors lack right now is condition removal which will soon be solved. Don’t listen to me tho I only have ~50 games played on warr but I do enjoy stomping those Champion Illusionists and Paragons in 1v1’s. But wait there’s more! Spiking targets at mid and frenzy stomping people with around 80% stability uptime is also pretty nice not to mention I also have 60% reduction on soft cc and 25% reduction on hard cc and dots.
Warriors are not tanks, they are berserkers. They do what thieves do only warriors do it better, faster and with more team support (stuns, immobilises etc). Play aggressive and you’ll have much more fun!
What you just said is exactly why OP made this thread.
You’re giving the WRONG information. Information that is not accurate, credible, and is without proof.
You did not beat a Bunker Ele. You probably beat an Ele that just happened to be using d/d and didn’t know what to do.
I feel like you didn’t even read OP’s post.
This is pretty much thread of the month. Thanks OP for being the voice of many.
Imo combine shout heals and banner regen into one trait and double healing signet’s base healing and make it scale better with healing power.
I love the title of this thread.
It implies with its poor wording that Anet is thinking of changing how hundred blades works. Most likely we will not be seeing any changes.
Anet has made no mention of this ability in recent discussions/interviews and is likely to stay that way.
Greatsword is already too good of a weapon right now, any more buffs would render every other weapon in our arsenal useless.
Sup Rantev, it’s Ashkandhi. Great build and info on classes.
On the stronger bowstrings subject. That trait is currently severely bugged, when traited it actually reduces the damage of your longbow by a significant amount.
There is body blocking but not to the exploited extent that you describe. You can body block attacks that do not pierce, for example Warrior downstate #2 can be body blocked by say a ranger pet or a necro minion so you can get the stomp off.
How about no legendaries in sPvP.
If people care about the PvP in this game they would not leave because of some silly Tourney win chest that gives just about squat in terms of rewards. I’m sure people have left because of the imbalances that are currently in place as of now.
I would go for the undead race for pvp because they have will of the foresaken
nah Dreanei for Gift of the Naaru!
Human free pvp trinket OP, pls nerf blizz.
I don’t see the point of having bull’s charge for fire shield when you’re going for a might stacking build. why not just use stomp for the extra might stacks?
I don’t really want to read that mess of text that OP made. Not sure how a thief is hitting you for 12K when you say you have 2.6k + armor (which is heavy).
Unless OP posts a build/screenshot of incoming damage I’m calling bs.
No offense, but we already have a triple block(reflection if traited) build.
The reflection on axe 5 would be nice though.
Guys, we have a thread QQing about this ability already. Just post your idea in there please https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/warrior/Rampage-Elite-skill/first#post2214453. We don’t need 3 threads for the same ability.
