In my opinion nothing should change with this Elite EXCEPT that they change all of it’s abilities to physical utility skills so that it benefits from the Physical Training Trait.
I love the weapons we have right now. There’s plenty of diversity as is, but I never understood why there was never a 2 hand axe introduced into the game.
Off hand spatula abilities:
FOOTBALL!!
shout.
Launch your foe with a mighty shout
Blowout: 620
Patty Shield
Absorb damage and turn it into health by consumption of roasted patties.
Healing: 640×4
I would propose that the mesmer loses a certain amount of health each time a phantasm is killed. This would make focusing the phantasms a viable strategy and having a lot out at once (i.e. 3 iDuelists) would be a risk the mesmer needs to calculate. Tie it to signet of illusions or whatever, but make there be some sort of risk/reward involved with this build.
I like this idea, maybe another option would be to change it so that when the mesmer spawns an illusion their total health pool is dropped by a percentage.
Dragon Ball = Unreal Tournament
it’s so much fun.
The Phantasm Mesmer pays for their 1v1 efficiency by sucking everywhere else.
You’ve got to be joking.
They can run FULL glass and still 1v1 better than a ranger and you’re telling me that’s inefficient?
I’m sorry, I call bull-kitten on this one.
Phantasm Mesmer is the best class you could possibly want in a team fight. Why?
Illusions can confuse the enemy just by cluttering their screen. Their damage will excell to its maximum because the mesmer can free cast while his teammates/illusions get all the attention. Mass Stealth? Time Warp? Please tell me you’re joking.
My itunes works fine. I don’t understand what’s wrong.
Edit: WAIT
You mean to tell me..
That there is a folder…
that you can put your.. own… songs.. into!!?!?!??!!!1one
This build definitely needs toning down.
As a warrior in Spvp seeing a mesmer is a death sentence. There is absolutely nothing I can do but run away with my tail between my legs when caught in a 1v1.
This build lets mesmers just dance around me the entire time while their pets do all the work for them. It’s not fun and just makes being a warrior more depressing than it already is. I mean, mesmers always say that it’s easy to kill them when caught in a 100b.. But that’s just it, isn’t it? How on earth do you expect anyone to catch a mesmer with all the mind numbing escapes they have? Stealth? Blink? Teleport? SPAWNING MORE ILLUSIONS? By the time i get a hit on a mesmer I’m already at 40% hp.
Yes, I’ve tried tanky-er builds, I’ve tried everything.
Seriously.
This build is stupid and ruins Spvp. It’s worse than 100b cheese, all you had to do to avoid it was dodge roll Bull’s charge and warrior can’t do anything for 40 seconds.
(edited by Red Raven.7824)
So your complaint is that it isn’t quite a god class yet.
Shhh.. don’t give them any bright ideas man.
I just hate how I have entire bar kitten full of adrenaline and absolutely nothing to use it on.
I’m sure this has been asked before, but I really think adding F1 skills to banners would make them a bit more attractive for use in the game.
I think that 1v1 touneys would be an entire waste of developer time on a gametype that is counterintuitive to the whole mmo aspect of this game.
This is my go to Greatsword, Axe/Shield build that I like to use in tpvp. It is burst.
Here’s my warrior, modeled after a certain someone from another universe..
I like the look. Is that HotW armor for chest and shoulders, Plated armor for hands and feet… what are your legs?
Here’s my warrior, modeled after a certain someone from another universe..
What armor is this? I like it a lot.
Yes, this is a HotM character.
The armor is..
Shoulder: Arms of Koda
Chest: Primeval Warplate
Gloves: Plated Gauntlets
Legs: Orrian Legguards
Feet: Plated Boots
It is working as intended. Also note conditions can still be applied.
It may be, but the tooltip description says otherwise. So if anything, it’s a tooltip bug.
60 lowest. Balanced stance would then be rendered useless.
I’m not sure you understand what I mean by “tooltip bug”.. The tooltip has nothing to with how the ability works at all. The tooltip is just the text that describes what the ability does. I’m not sure but I think you might be quoting the wrong person.
Well, you’re not exactly bringing anything constructive to the thread.
its terrible, if your interrupting then its a stun, so while they are stunned they have confusion, aka the confusion cant do anything.
its a trait that literally works against itself.
Ahh, I see what you mean now and Mace #3 is the only ability in our arsenal that “interrupts” without a stun/knockdown.
classic.
“No shinys? What’s the point!?”
Reviver’s Might, Versatile Power, and Mobile Strikes are all bad. xD
Mobile Strikes is amazing.
I’m putting my hat in the Distracting Strikes field.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Distracting_Strikes
That looks pretty good though.. now I want to make a build solely around interrupts lol.
Sword/Axe-Longbow combo field build.
- Axe 5 is inferior to the Thief version of the skill because it doesn’t reflect projectiles.
That is one of the major WTFs of the game, something we can agree on.
Actually it’s not a “wtf”. The thief ability is an elite. Our’s is just a regular ability.
“And blame success on luck and upleveled/undergeared opponents.”
Or you can sling insults left and right like this winner if that’s your thing…
I apologise for calling out what believe to be “rude forum behavior”.
Keep making videos man, but don’t make videos for the praise of others, make them because you think what you did was cool.
Well, if you ever need another Warrior to tag along on your PvP journey please send me a message.
That’s a lot of personal information you’re asking for in a forum post man. You should really leave that out until you are in a skype/ts/vent chat imo.
Endure Pain does not prevent damage done via conditions. I’ll look into making the description more clear.
Appreciate the feedback Roy. Maybe something like this in the tooltip:
Take no damage from direct attacks.
What’s the current comp setup Defek?
Just wondering because Warrior is all I play and I’m sure you only want one Warrior (yourself) on the team.
Thanks.

In order to not come across as pompous you have to use a little self-effacing humor and not pump yourself up. And blame success on luck and upleveled/undergeared opponents.
Like in this 3v1:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVDSS5ObZdsApologies for the in-game audio, I tried to incorporate it in for the comedic effect. Still working on my editing skills…
Wow, those players were just horrible. Down right horrible.
As for posting your own video in someone else’s vid thread, that’s just pretentious in itself too.
WvW doesn’t really mean squat imo. WvW won’t mean anything unless they scale stats like spvp.
Here’s my warrior, modeled after a certain someone from another universe..
But the ability tooltip doesn’t say that. The only way to find that out is by reading the BOON tooltip. Do you get what I’m saying?
It is working as intended. Also note conditions can still be applied.
It may be, but the tooltip description says otherwise. So if anything, it’s a tooltip bug.
Ability Tooltip:
Endure Pain
Stance. Take no damage from attacks
Boon Tooltip:
Endure Pain
You take no damage from incoming attacks
Player still takes damage from conditions that are already applied to the Warrior.
Must be a tooltip error because it doesn’t explain why I still take damage when Endure Pain is popped.
Also, what is up with the difference in tooltips? It doesn’t make sense why they have different descriptions.
I am also looking for a team.. >.>
Why does this guy record ingame sound.
Also the mesmer was terribad. I don’t see how you could not have beaten him.
Yeah, sorry OP. This build just doesn’t cut it for a bunker. So far this is the best bunker/1v1 build I’ve seen for warrior, it still isnt even that good against multiple players. Bunker warrior is just bad. Period.
hi, thx for all replays
@Red Raven
come on… pls dont speak about shatter mesmer and beastmaster rangers are op at tournament, because thats rly not true…
u should know why, i dont whant to start such discussion…
That’s not the point.
You at least have a viable spec.
Warriors have none.
Yeah right, let’s nerf boon corruption into the ground.
Because you clearly use your corrupt boon on elite skills all the time right?
as an arena game, why not just play like, smite? no dodging and less individual customization but more team customization, and the combats a lot easier to follow / more fun.
Because, Smite is made by Hi-Rez. A company that abandons their games once they find a new project to work on. Plus smite looks horrible, looks like it was made in 2008 with a UI that makes you want to throw up.
sounds like a … “beta”…
aw..oh , you
A Beta that’s been out and open for almost a year now. A beta that you can purchase things in for real money even though the game isn’t officially out yet. Sure, I have no right to judge (sarcasm).
Lol graphics. If graphics made a game, gw2 would be amazing.
The graphic in GW2 are outstanding, not saying that that’s the only thing that makes GW2 “amazing”. But coming from a company that’s called Hi-Rez who have made Tribes: Ascend and Global Agenda, you tend to have expectations and when those expectations aren’t met you get disappointed.

I just wanted to quote lots of stuff too
best post in this thread.

I stopped using Bull’s Charge and Frenzy.
I now use Bolas and Signet of Might. Its waaay better
Ranger is like the best profession next to Mesmer. They are beyond over powered.
Okay, I get it. All of your characters share the same rank, big kitten whoop. You can level 5 characters to 80 faster than you can get to rank 40 in sPvP. I think that is silly.
The average match yields around 100 to 150 points (300+ for Treb on Kyhlo and Cannon on Capricorn) and lasts around 10 min. I’d rather not do the math because I’m sure you all can see how ridiculous this is.
Would love to see increase in rank gains from wins or at least a Rank Booster that you can make from the Arcane Forge, similar to the Glory Booster.
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by “conflicting sigils”. The weapon swap sigils have yet to cause any internal cooldown problems for me. I’m also not seeing were this build will be kited at all. It has 3 roots, 2 gap closers, and a 1,200 ranged Knockdown.. how could you possibly kite that?
Greetings fellow Warriors.
This build is specifically tuned for Structured/Tournament PvP. I am not sure how it holds up in other situations.
30/0/0/20/20
Pros
- Very high mobility
- Two Knock downs
- 3 Snares/Roots
- Condition Removal
- Fast Adrenaline gain
- 2 Stun breakers
- Very high damage output
- “Pretty good” Boon management
Cons
- Squishy (considered a light armored target)
- Will lose to most Bunker builds
- Can be overwhelmed by Minion build Nercros
Where is my place in Tournament play?
This build truly shines as a roamer/ganker in PvP. You can travel across the map with extreme ease and back-cap enemy points in under a minute. This build will usually overwhelm players with its Damage and CC capabilities in 1v1s and team fights.
Why should I play this build instead of GS/Axe, Shield?
I believe just about everyone in tournaments right now knows exactly what to do and how to counter the GS Hundred Blades cleave. It’s just way too predictable. Hundred Blades is your biggest burst and it’s easily countered by walking out of its 180 degree radius. With the Fury build you don’t have to stay rooted in one position, you can stay mobile and CC your target and still do outstanding DPS.
Traits
Strength Tree
Great Fortitude – As an already squishy build the extra 1,080 HP can really make a difference. 5% of power is is given as a bonus to vitality.
Dual Wielding – This trait should be a no brainer, 5% damage increase for having a sword/axe/mace in your off hand.
Berserker’s Might – This can proc right off of Signet of Rage for easy Adrenaline.
Tactics Tree
Leg Specialist – Very good trait that just about every Tournament Warrior Build should have. Roots a target for 1 sec when you cripple them.
Quick Breathing – A great trait for this build. Awards 1 random boon upon condition removal. Warhorn skill CDs are also reduced by 20%.
Discipline Tree
Warrior’s Sprint – Speed is always a good choice especially for this build. Run faster while wielding melee weapons.
Sweet Vengeance – Possibly the best Trait you can get as a Warrior. Makes 1v1s much more easier to deal with, not to mention getting clutch dunks on enemies can be game changing. 100% chance to rally if you kill someone while in Vengeance.
Ogre/Eagle Rune combo
I prefer to run 4 Ogre runes and 2 Eagle runes. The 4 Ogre runes yield the rock dog which can change the tide in a 1v1 fight and also increase your damage output. The 75 Power and 3% Critical Damage increase is also a plus. The 2 Eagle runes yield 25 Precision and 3% Critical Damage which ends up pushing your overall Critical Damage to a nice 41%. So far this rune setup has been very worth while, but it’s still open for improvement.
Weapon setup
I feel that Axe/Mace yields the best overall damage (in terms of burst) and CC that you can get out of any other dual weapon combo. You have the opportunity to get 8 stacks of Vulnerability which is great for Eviscerate. Tremor is phenomenal as well. A 1,200 range Knockdown is hard to pass up.
Sword/Warhorn provides the best mobility out of any setup in my opinion. Savage Leap provides the best distance coverage and can jump over some serious gaps. Also the 5 1/4 sec Immobilize to all targets within range from Flurry is great in team fights and the extra bleeding damage is a nice touch.
Amulet and Sigils
I have taken a liking to Berserker/Knights Amulet it gives me a nice amount of damage and some health here and there.
Sigils are not set in stone, as I have been swapping them from time to time.
Leeching/Bloodlust on Axe/Mace.
Earth/Energy on Sword/Warhorn.
Healing/Utilities/Elite
Mending/Healing Surge – I still don’t know how I feel between Mending and Healing Surge. I switch between them a lot. Healing Surge can be great for clutch heals with a maxed adren bar but condition removal is always nice since they can eat you up.
Bull’s Charge – Having a second gap closer is always good plus it deals a fair amount of damage and a Knockdown.
Frenzy – Pop this and watch the numbers fly. Great to use when your target is snared or Knocked down/Stunned.
Balanced Stance – By far the best ability for dunking opponents when they are down, especially since you can use while in the middle of a dunk.
Signet of Rage – There really isn’t anything better for Warrior Elite skills right now for a DPS build.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoy this Build as much as I have and end up trying it one day. I’m open to suggestions on how I can better improve the build as well.
Thanks, it’s a pretty entertaining build. I really like the mix of raw damage and conditions.
Someone requested a video from my last thread and here it is.
Just a short video showcasing some enjoyable moments I had in Tournies with this build.
Here’s the build I’m running: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNAT3ZjcOJvVPyQMxBCThfcekEqQe1D4cn4A-TsAg0CoIeS9k7JzTynsPNqYhxmDA
It’s not the best but it’s pretty fun if you like a more offensive Longbow play style.
How hard can it be.. is a 2 – 5 minute work.
(its a few seconds work if they are familiar with their own database, wich they should)…Find class. find class traits. find bowstring trait.
read the trait.. "increase range by XX%. and reduce dmg by XX%..
Remove negative dmg part.. Save. Done.Wow sooo hard.
Hoooooly crap. You have no idea what you are talking about at all.
This is not how a bug just comes up. Bugs appear during patches and soft fixes that change minor things. Say you want to change “x”, after changing “x” everything is all fine and dandy right? Wrong, while changing “x” some how that change in the database also affects “y”, even though “x” and “y” are not even related. But this happens because of the type of scripting they use. There is no magical spreadsheet that you can pop up and change numbers in. Not in a game like this.
Thanks, Anas. Must have mixed it up with Sigil of Blood.
