Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t this topic posted in the pvp forum asking people why they think ele is OP.

If the post was ment for the eyes of other ele players, it would have (should have?) been posted elsewhere.
Even if some of the arguments are not valid, they are posted as a reply to why people think ele is OP. (Note the Wording: ‘think Eles is Op’ . It’s not: ’know for a fact Eles is Op’.

If anything constructive is to come of this topic, I guess it would be to explain why x poster is wrong about x assumption about elementalists.
Sadly these topics about X class being op tend to end up in people aggressivly attacking or defending their believes rather than listening to one another :P
(but good entertainment for the rest of us.)

@Reesha: Elidath is correct to an extent. However, there are a couple other things you can do. Firstly, you can tank the wells. Make sure you have retaliation and a defender out, as well as chaos armor if possible. The wells are weakly ticking aoe attacks, and that will return a ton of retal damage, as well as buff you up nicely with chaos armor.

Necro fears don’t last very long, and Melandru runes make them even shorter. It is unlikely they will actually get you off the point with a fear, especially if you stunbreak it. As for conditions, remember to use the warden + temporal curtain whirl combo for a lot of cleansing as often as possible.

Also remember that you have a knockback/pull as well. You can prevent the necro from entering your point as he can knock you off of it.

Hmm – I guess I have to be a bit more brave when it comes to ‘standing in fire’ :-) I did not think of actually tanking the well.

I was just wondering since pyro posted that the only major issue he had encountered (at least in tpvp) was a knockback engie.
Even if I manage to kill the necro, I don’t see how to without loosing the point in the proccess. I still have a feeling that there is some trick that I don’t know about :P

I tried out this build last night and tbh I am loving it.
I am fairly new at pvp and I am fairly new at playing mesmer as well, so this might be a really silly question.
I find myself having the most problems with necromancers. Reading through the description of how to deal with the different professions:

1. Necromancer
Would you like your necro well done or extra crispy, sir?

… I asume I am clearly doing something wrong, so here it is:
How do you hold a point in spvp against a necromancer that spams the point with wells and fears you out?
