Every character has a number, that number determines your RNG. That is the only speculation I could think off after about 100kills on Teq since Teq rising. And……I have not gotten any hoards, ascended chest, not any kitten minis. I only got SPOONS and BONES and RUNES. That’s it. Now, even worst after HoT, I am getting BROKEN SPOONS.

• RNG is not tied to any specific account or character; if it was, the devs couldn’t even attempt to ensure that everyone had the same odds of getting good stuff (or bad).
• Broken Spoons are not “worse” than Carved Bone Spoons. They drop for people who already have the collection item and are worth exactly the same. Arguably, they are better, since the ‘sell junk’ button applies to them, meaning less clicking to get your coin.

Broken spoons are worse, they barely deserve to be called spoons. That 10 extra silver the spoon used to be worth, clearly was the silver minted into the original spoons.

Any fun names for Tequatl? I’ve heard Taquito, because cheap like 7-11. Uhhhh…Taco keep em’ coming.

Raiding is for those who want to play their profession to the highest point possible and against the highest tier of difficulty. This was even said when they were announced, either learn how how to do that or run some World Bosses or take up a different Legendary Journey.

I can’t tell you how many times my small guild wiped on Vale Guardian, but eventually after sixty wipes or so we did it, and now we have him on weekly farm. Gorseval we’ve almost got as well. Be persistent if this is something you really want and you’ll get there.

There are many things in HoT which need to be addressed – this just isn’t one of them.

Ok, so i’ve been killing Tequatl the Sunless (For those who don’t know a major world boss in Sparkfly Fen.) For close to two years now, if there was an ingame kill counter i’m pretty sure i’ve got to be close to like 400 kills on him…and out of the 400 kills (maybe more?) I’ve never seen one ascended drop, we’re not talking the hoard he drops either, but just general armor chests and or weapons, yet everytime I kill this kittening kitten, I see some dude who was afk the practically, the entire time link up either some valuable loot or even worse the sought after hoard. THE WORST PART – You know you contributed way more and probably know Tequatl better then they ever will by the amount of times you’ve sat on him.

And I gotta say, it’s gotten to the point where I’m starting to believe i’m bugged, since i’ve been defeating him since his initial release – maybe, a hidden code or something for those that have been killing him so long, unable to get anything but spoons. Hell, I was destroying him before he even dropped spoons.

SO I have to ask, does anyone feel like this world boss just has them by the privates? Or is it just cruel, cruel RNG?

Right? It’s downright brutal…like what gives? Was it a stealth nerf? To warriors or just toughness all around? I mean, of course someone is gonna say “Run full zerker.” But, honestly i’m pretty sure that’s a death sentence going full on glass considering how hard some of the jungle mobs hit.

Maybe, the HoT mobs around Verdant brink are just harder then what’s in Tyria, but on my Mesmer and hell, even my Necro they both seem to be able to take the abuse as well as dish it out, and my warrior with 2600 toughness is still getting hit hard? Did they nerf warriors mitigation or is it just the strength of the mobs? I don’t know, seems awfully weird and my warrior has never felt so squishy before.

I run mostly zerker with some knights which has never afforded me problems before.

Once I made a norn at ~20% above the minimum to represent a quite young norn for roleplay purposes. Don’t see a problem with that.
But I get your general concern – the post here just will nothing do against it. Most people doing that don’t care about lore, they choose the min heigh because they want a human but like the hair on norn better, or like the racial skills better, or want to reveiling cultural armour, or hate (like me) how slow tall characters feel, because of the slow animations to compensate the higher leg length, etc.pp.. They don’t mind if it fits.

Yeah, I get that – I do. It just irks me so much seeing the people do it for the hair choices and and all the wrong reasons. The Norn are a culturally rich people and I bet half the people who do it for the revealing cultural armor don’t even realize it’s modeled after Jora.

Why is this a thing? I don’t want it to be a thing, stop letting it be a thing – I hate seeing female norn who go to the smallest height possible, should just roll a human at that rate. Lorewise, makes zero sense seeing as the smallest recorded norn was like barely smaller then the majority.

You go norn to be massive, like your legend. Not to be a tatted hipster teenage girl human.

World of Warcraft did this with “Titans grip.” Not sure, if I would personally wish to see that. As it would look really clunky in GW2 and almost comical.

Not gonna happen, HOT, focuses on the threat of Mordremoth, plus ANET won’t divide their creative team just to expend resources making a whole edited map. They’ll spend those resources on The Heart of Maguuma making it as least boring and awful as possible.

Maybe, some time we’ll return to Orr but not anytime soon.

Warrior is pretty much super lame with our banners, and i’m not sure anyone but great-sword kids play us now, what can you add to a class that just get’s super angry and smashes things just cause? I hope it’s not something generic like “Berserker.” Maybe make shields more viable and give us a reason not to go zerk builds…? I know I would personally like to see some offensive shield use, like a bash or something.

Maybe, something like a myrmidon? Throw your shield and use it all for offensive?

This may quite possibly be the dumbest thread I’ve ever had the misfortune of reading on this forum. I don’t even know where to begin with the amount of things wrong with the OP, so instead I’m not… This is just a fail thread and that’s a fact by Taimi logic. AlSO before I leave the bomb fest this thread will undoubtly become, HOUSE M.D. A television show that features a crippled doctor is a genius much like Taimi… Seeing any connection? No? The event in general seems gated to me, due to the general fact that it requires this vast amount of coordination, that you’d likely only get with a commander tagged guild working cohesively with the event, all the other world boss events you just plop in and smack the beast.

I just don’t get, why Arena Net would make a fight like this when they know it needs work. No game company likes wasting resources, so to have this potentially great and entertaining fight available to all players, they choose to gate it? And yet they refuse to do gear treadmills? It just makes no sense to me personally.

I REALLY don’t want to see an Asura in Norn steel…thank you very much. The minimum height Asian themed humans with colorful backpacks are already enough silliness.

Here’s the thing: my Server PuGs the wurm boss, that’s not a problem. But, the fact that this steaming plate of undead goodness is just sitting in one place and being failed every attempt, there is something wrong with that. I don’t believe anyone still even kills him, he’s just sitting there as a wasted pixel design.

Right, so minus my great Microsoft paint skills, this thread is about poor old Teqautl that random undead dragon event which, no one on my server – Tarnished Coast, seems to really do. I’d like for this thread to point out WHY, Teqautl isn’t run like any other boss event. Is it because he’s scary? Or are the mechanics terrible? In which case, on the developers side: Is there any chance that this fight might be revisited to make it more enjoyable? I’d like some general opinions on the fight and if possible, views from other players and perhaps a survey to see which realms are still even doing Teq.

Well, he’s doing a pretty awful job considering the place is still crawling with undead and undead events, I figured magical necrosalad power was much better then that.

Shouldn’t he be saving Lions Arch and stealing our glory?

Anyone see a theme in that all of the Guild Wars worst characters are in fact, Sylvari? I guess you can put all the dressing you want on a salad and it’s still just boring and awful.
