Just because you want a coordinated team with good communication don’t mean other want the same or have the time to wait hours for another “pro”. Dungeons are for grinding and the faster way is go with anyone willing to grind them.
If you don’t like that, you can easily spam “Pro player LFG, only pros like myself, no noobs allowed” and done, no need to push your personal preferences into other, I’m sure you can always found people who think like you.

I didn’t realize expecting people to understand basic game mechanics was not acceptable to the general public.

Does anyone know exactly how this skill picks targets and its attack rate? It feels like when my framerate tanks in wvw, the amount of daggers per second drops along with it.

This system isn’t about merit, it’s about popularity. Guild system is useless because if they wanted to be a public commander they’d leave the guild, get voted, and then rejoin. Unless anet wants to make an actual gameplay system (read: an actual strategy game) for choosing people who know what they’re doing, it’s not gonna work.

No one commander has enough control over the forces at “their” disposal to execute tactics of any non-trivial duration. You can stay a couple moves ahead of your opponents at best, and only with good scouting intel that you may or may not get. As far as high level strategy goes, the potential is certainly there in theory, but in practice will never be attainable because your forces aren’t disciplined enough.

People are complaining about lava preventing you from waypointing, and that’s really lava’s being the problem, not the new waypoint changes. Lava shouldn’t be damaging you while dead, regardless of how waypoints work; it’s something they should have fixed a long time ago.

Is it really possible to bot an army in wvw? I would think it would be much much much less effective than thinking people at the controls.

It would be quite possible, though this doesn’t mean people are doing it. Most of the agents you play against in games are intended to be interesting to play against, not difficult to play against (unless difficult is interesting).

Your being level 35 probably has a lot to do with it. You need to be able to deal enough damage to get kill credit, which can be very difficult at low levels. When you use the finisher you automatically get kill credit because you killed them.

Single-handedly stopped nearly all supply to sm for like 20 minutes. I’m sorry tc, many yaks were harmed.

Some people like to have say 1 guard 1 mes 1 war 1 rang 1 nec, to have a team of unique classes that won’t “overwrite” each other’s things, i.e. two necros is redundant.

You’re lucky then, a large part of KnT is actually ‘special ed’ in pve.

The last time we went to Orr on a mithril and lumber gathering mission to stock up the vault for making siege, we also went to a temple to get armour and slaughtered everything (that part actually we’re good at) and at least 3/4 of us where running around aimlessly after it, looking for loot bags.

If you guys need mithril and elder wood logs… you could just ask me. I’m forced to craft my mithril ingots into stuff just to save space.

You could actually play WvW. You get badges a lot faster through kills than through the JP, and you can do it more than once at a time.
