Mission accomplished. Thread finally reached popcorn status.

Now we can return back to discussions of PvDoor and zerg fighting.

Life on ET is going to be so wonderful with the new match-up system. I feeling like a negative nancy about this change. Man it might be brutal.

I have been on Eredon Terrace since it first opened. Been through the roller coaster ride from T1 to T8. I have stuck with my chosen home server through thick and thin and never given up the fight in WvW. I love the ET community but WvW is going to be even more miserable with the upcoming changes to the matchup system. The time has come to find a new permanent home.

My GW2 Dating Profile:

1. I play EST primetime from around 6PM – Midnight during the week. Sporadic play on the weekends. Play at least 3-4 nights a week.
2. I have had a Commander tag for 6 months and use it regularly to lead the ET militia. I know my kitten and don’t mind taking the reigns when necessary. My biggest weakness in Commanding is open field, I have not had enough experience of leading a large organized guild in open field. I don’t have to command, being a soldier is fine by me. Just providing background.
3. A sharp wit and biting sense of humor. No sensitive emo dude here.
4. An attitude where winning or losing does not matter. Ive been on ET forever for kitten sakes.
5. I don’t have a playstyle preference. I can play objectives or open field. I prefer a combination of both. I don’t want to babysit an arrow cart in a tower for hours on end and I also don’t want to just circle jerk a map endlessly hoping for open world PvP to happen.
6. I play an Elementalikittenll bunker staff currently. I command from the front and like pushing into the middle of zergs. I am open to change.

What I am looking for:

1. Large active hardcore organized WvW guild that runs regularly scheduled guild groups. I am looking for larger scale organization, no 5-10 man business.
2. A cool group of people to hang out with and kill kitten.
3. Nothing else is off the table.

The only people angry are the ones clicking flags. And those little piggies went wee wee wee all the way home.

Make sure that when in Rome do as the Romans do and include the default, “you mad bro”, and “and that’s like your opinion man” into every post. I just don’t understand why people don’t like me, I really want people to like me! I justed wanted to dance! You guys are just so mean.

I play WvW. If I wanted to PvP I would go play in that sandbox. This is large scale war fare, World vs. World with objectives and strategy. I don’t go take troops to go kill stragglers. I try to stop them from doing it, not that many of them bother to listen. It’s a waste of resources and takes away from our goal at hand. Don’t get me wrong, I am all about the fights. I fight with with an actual purpose in mind. Not to just jack some random kid for lunch money because he happened to be in my way. I don’t play this game like a punk kitten.

If I had 5s for everytime I have watched PAXA jump a random straggler in WvW or the forums I would have Commander Tags on all my characters. Unparalleled skills abound. You bring a lot to WvW gameplay. The constant chest thumping and trolling on forums always makes my LOL tho. Keep up the good work. I enjoy reading the same posts over and over each match-up thread.

The fight at Veloka against the 50+ HoD was fun today. Continually destroying your siege was priceless. I must have taken out 30 pieces of siege with my 2 catas and 1 arrow cart. I was wondering if you were ever going to figure out what you needed to do to take Veloka. Eventually you half did it, but left your treb open for me to back door it pornstar style with a small group of ET stars who listened. If we had any supply/camps to get up a treb up you would have never taken it. Next time I won’t waste supply on the catas.

I wish ET would have taken out that treb at Mendons…we might have saved OL. kitten militia, great fighting tho.

In any case, we got both, but it was rather fun to watch

We had a nice line dance going at the front of the tower. A shot of that would have been more fun. It was just random mischief. We just happened to walk by and go “ohhh paper tower, put down a ram.”

Commanding the militia is not for the impatient or feint of heart. Every time you command a militia it is different. Sometimes things go well, and sometimes well, Stonemist happens!

These things are always certain when commanding the militia.
1. A good % will not listen or follow.
2. You will be providing WvW 101 lessons.
3. At some point you will get frustrated.
4. These are true no matter what server you are on.

Highlandrias you have been commanding the milita a lot. Don’t burn yourself out. Ive seen it happen to many commanders on ET. When frustrated take a break, definitely don’t take it out on your troops. We are all in this together. Or go take them to do something silly stupid, like kill Crimson Moas!

There is a reason why good commanders tend to form/join and run WvW guilds. They get tired of the unpredictability of the militia. They go and join large WvW focused guilds to command their forces. This is the problem here, and why I went up to a higher tier for a while. On ET this is hard since well we don’t really have a large hardcore WvW guild. That is what I want. KWBH would sort of maybe almost fit that mold but they are leaving. Personally I would like a mix of militia commanding and guild commanding. Variety is the spice of life.

So what do you do on ET? I think that all that can be done is go and recruit some known hardcore/quality WvW players and build it. Advance the quality of forces; class composition, builds, advanced tactics, teamspeak required, 4/7 nightly WvW runs, etc etc… I think there have been some attempts at doing this, but nothing with any real traction. This is a really rally tough task on ET, but it may be able to be done.

Or you just run with a small 5-10 man force and run havock…which can be fun but large scale WvW planning is a whole other beast.

Great times yesterday in WvW stopping Garrison and Hills golem rushes, steamrolling group after group after group of invaders. Props on great coordination yesterday — Highlandrias you the man. ET keep up the good work and get on Community Teamspeak for sexy Brotha talkalingus. On a more serious note, WTF SF just got a kittenload of transfers and their zerg’in up our BL. That time was more of a gang-bang, with no lube, and all take. Such fond memories. Go through that for months and a double-team will seem like a sunny Sunday afternoon.

I want to hide behind walls and use arrow carts to farm you. I get very upset when you kill my arrow carts. Next time please don’t kill my arrow carts and bring lots more people so I can farm your lootbags. After spending the entire night in the comfort of your tower walls I will log off and you can have your tower back. I just get bored if you don’t bother removing me from my tower. I cannot be bothered to do anything beyond turtling.

Be thankful you never had to compete in a light-weight strength competition against me out in the schoolyard. I totally would have taken you to task with my super leet karate skills and then had my lawyer dad sue you for everything your family had. all in all hope Arrowcarts get fixed soon and I can get back into enjoying WvWv..eh.

So what do you do when your opponent puts down AC’s in the open field?

1. You stand in AC fire range engaging the enemy and die?
2. You remember that AC’s have a minimum fire distance as well a maximum. So you split your group up and bum rush from multiple sides.
3. You back off and build balistas and LOL right back at them.
4. You completely disengage the enemy and let them stand on their AC’s for hours while you do actual productive work on the battlefield.

There is one bad choice here… And I know thats the choice we would likely make.

Granted there are some more sneaky open field tactics that could be employed with open field AC deployment, I just don’t think anyone here is smart enough/coordinated enough to pull them off.

Well last night was fun in ET BL. From 7-10:30 EST. Man AC’s kill golems at bay. Push HoD out of ET BL. Defend feint attack on ET Keep in EBG. Go back to ET BL. Fail to defend breakout at Briar since everyone stayed in EBG. ET militia floods back in builds trebs in Vale camp. HoD builds AC’s in Briar. We let HoD hold Victors camp forever it must have been hours…so they had good supply lines. Fun open field fighting over the trebs for a while on two fronts. ET breaks Briar walls runs in and stands in massive AC fire and dies. HoD kills trebs. PAXA ninjas Cliffside. Props to PAXA I just figured you guys roamed around killing stragglers all day. Had no idea you played objectives. HoD attacks hills bust through outter FoE defense reponds(thanks guys!) an defends Hills. PAXA busts outter Garrison…we had 1 other person there….but finally gets wiped before getting setup on inner. I went to sleep…HoD takes Hills…and prolly Bay too as I started upgrades there as well this AM. What I am seeing as a pattern is that ET has more EST and HoD seems to have much better PST. And Ferg is just Ferg. Our partners in T8 crime. ET…moar cowbell and tons of arrow carts in Briar…ok guys.

We logged after that because the ONLY people to fight in WvW was your dumb zerg that ran around as a mindless blob. Couldn’t possibly break off and do seperate things, must follow the one true blue dorito. Edit: that makes everything else so boring GW2 isnt worth playing.

PS: The night b4 last, 5 KoM and 5 PAXA rick rolled 25-30 TAC and company at south camp…..wait a minute….5+5 = 10 WTF?

to the [Mend] thief who was dueling this morning (around 8:30-8:40 Central) at south camp of ET BL: fun fights. thank you. i’m honestly surprised i managed to best you once… my guard is built more for zerg support and i’ve not had much practice or success with 1 on 1 fights so i appreciated the sparring. also, my mesmer server-mate apologizes for stepping too close to the camp near the end of their first duel. they lost track of where they were.

My guess is that is my ole pal Cryptic Executioner who was turned out by Lord Vader. Cryptic how yah doin man!? Well maybe it wasn’t Crytpic…I cannot imagine him loosing to a Guardian!? I am certain he has killed me several times by now…I just rarely notice who completes the deed.

Funny coming from a guy who made enemies of an entire server and transferred away. Coincidentally there is also a community forming since you scurried away. All I witnessed was 40 guys turtling a tower all night that no one had any intention of retaking until you left. An amazingly efficient use of manpower. I have no idea how anyone could consider that fun. All the while Ferg was pulling further ahead of you. I guess some people play to win….some for the fights…and others to sit in keeps.

All I’m hearing here is talk, and a flame war waiting to happen. Your entire point is moot because last night BC and I took over everything south of your Gari, while you led like a bull and died over and over charging our Greenvale. GG Brotha, still waiting for you to kill me, every night…

PS: Mend had about 15 people on for the duration of last night, meanwhile you made an X every time you hit our vale with over 25. So don’t come to me kittening about effective use of manpower, our server score shows more than well enough how effectively we are keeping ET distracted. Meanwhile our score was 100PPT above FC for the entire night. Again I say to you, check your facts.

Apparently you missed the fights at Vale. Also you might do some research on the mechanics of orange swords. The ET militia never popped an X on any camps our towers while I was around other than when we got sammiched at Vale from Waypoint+Bay/Briar invaders. The defensive response at Vale from waypoint side was pretty insane…but that made it much more fun.

Taking Vale was the only thing for us to do since you(HoD) were turtling Briar and Bay….everything else was ours. We put up a cata in the ruins to draw you out from behind walls. We put up trebs at garrison to draw you out from behind walls. We had some fun engagements once we drew you into them. Ohhh and the fight between Arah and LV was fun for a bit. But I guess we could have had a turtle-off. I would rather rush in a try to fight than sit and hide. Hey guys lets sit in Hills all night…Ive got 40 arrow carts to build. Someone might come to attack this in a couple days and I want to be ready!

You can read about it in the T7 thread, if you can stand sifting through trolling long enough to find it. Short version: Zombieland [WvW] is transferring to GoM. So your former ET buddies will still be on HoD when they drop to T8.

They seem to have had more than just WvW leave, but could be wrong…Their participation is worse than we ever saw from any opposition in T8…There are whispers of them holding out of WvW to purposely drop down to T8… But those are only whispers since that is “match fixing” apparently.

I ran by their spawn the other day and like the day before, there was a group of people there farming badges from them as all 6-10 of them were running out of spawn (EB).

Transfers to a green team tier 8 server? Here we go again.

I demand that GW2 stop forcing its players to create hot ladies. There is total hot woman bias in its character creation system. I tried for an hour to create a really ugly “One Angry Sista” and failed miserably. GW2 is going to force girls into a false sense of hot avatar identity which may scar a generation of young GW2 fans. Seriously ANET stop corrupting the minds of todays youth!

I couldn’t reload on iron mining picks which serverely hampered my abilities to mine copper all night. I lost out on around 87 copper in profits due to your antics. Why can’t you guys stay in T7. I am so tired of of you cross-tier zerging our citadel. I cannot take it anymore. I so wish I could have found my screen capture button to report you dastardly hackers to Anet. GoM is dominant because they are plain out classing us at the macro level. Overall better tactics and strategy. Their night capping crew is not the sole source of their success this week, just one aspect. They are fully upgrading, sieging, and actively defending their structures both in EB and their home BL. They also have solid small man teams constantly harassing ET/FC BL’s, etc… Straight forward solid play and I respect them, minus those chumps from GOML.

Once the moms of the GoM night capping crew realize they have been sneaking on the computer past their 9PM bedtime things will equalize. Their poor grades on the cursive handwritting quizes will be a dead give away. Their moms may even ground them from the computer for a few weeks to get them back in line . Heck she may not even take them to the Barney Dinosaur the Musical for their birthday like she promised.

After watching the impromptu FSU vs. Agg action there is no doubt they would be a welcomed addition to ET. If the whole thing is troll then it is one great trolling. We now have supporting back story for the rumors. Next we just need a few colorful characters chiming in like its a T7 thread and finally doctored up screen shots showing the passing of the envelopes of of monies.

At least he’s not Krakrabbit from FC who is (actually) aut.stic and spends his entire life telling how bad the other commanders are (including when we wiped AGGs first offensive last night) and keeps his tag on even if 10 other commanders tell him to turn it off. He also proclaims in map chat how great he is for taking an entire supply camp. God I wish he would go to a top tier so even the pugs could tell him he’s stupid.

It sounds like perhaps we could pull a Gilkin for CrackHabit trade. ET will sweeten the deal by throwing in a conditional 8 round pick in the 2014 Supplemental Commander Draft. We are willing to give more because CrackHabits mental conditions have been diagnosed. It sounds like maybe he also has a small case of the Manti Te’o….We aren’t quite sure what condition is afflicting Gilkin beyond the OMGScrewTheZergs!

Wow. So, just cruising over to the t7 boards. Was SF always as full of themselves when they were here in t8, or is this attitude something new that came with the points gift from Anet? If you guys had to suffer through months of trash talk and posturing like they’re throwing around in the t7 post…my hat is off to you all.

Fun match up so far. Except that blue murder ball that was rolling around our BL last night. STOP THAT. You’ve trampled most of the gardens and spooked all of the moose.

They have always thought quite highly of themselves. They have obviously earned it. I mean you would too if you had turned a small number of native PvE players into a hardcore skilled WvW fighting force. Their lack of increase in numbers right before the end of free transfers had nothing to do with it. Maybe they got maybe 1 or 2 guys right before but you know…nothing more.

As soon as you start to question whether or not you want to eat the baloney sammich they are trying to feed you every day they will start getting all “fact’y” on you…wait and see.
