I would agree with you but this LS 2 is not the same like other LS episodes. IT didnt stop it didn’t end. Its still going on into the expansion. So to expect people to pay for the expansion and expect them to be ok with missing half the story is pretty sad in my opinion.

The pre purchased units are being shipped to them stil so they actually do not have it yet. But it was confirmed to be a pre purchase SKU . just make sure your retailer is on the list of retailer that is getting the pre PURCHASE SKu products and not the pre order sku. In my country we have several retailers but only one is getting the pre purchase option.

If you trait into discipline, you can choose brawlers recovery, removing a condition on weapon swap. With fast hands minor, thats reliable condi cleanse, I also put a sigil of cleansing on one of my weapons, adding another cleanse on each 2nd swap.

You also might encounter a drop in survivability from boon uptime, depending what build you ran before. You might have lost 30% boon duration from the old trait line, depending how far you traited into it and traited warhorns now dont convert condis into boons anymore.
If you want more survivability for yourself, maybe drop shouts and trooper runes, get melandru and trait into stances. Your teammates wont profit as much from this build as they lose your heals and condi cleanse from your shouts but they profit from a dead warrior even less.
Melandru runes in combination with dogged march and food give you -98% condi duration on soft cc, which makes those condis basically nonexistant, unless your enemy has +condi duration. That makes cleaning the damaging condis far more easier.

Good advice this. Jsut a headsup that the Hoelbrak runes are a cheaper condition reduction rune. not as much as melandru but gives you soem more damage while melandru will give you lots of survivability

I have a pretty average rig and ill have you know the difference between the full graphics and medium is not that big a difference. My gf plays on everything medium with character model detail at the best setting and she gets 40-50 on a 4 series amd that is about 10 years old. I have a 7870 and can get 50-80 on full graphics doing pve . On medium its about 90-110 and in wvw easily handles it. turning the reflections to terrain and sky and shadows off you can easily run the game properly.

But the new amd cards launched. Look for R9 270 cards that should go on sale now with the new range coming out. Or wait a month or so for the Readeon range to have all the reviews and benches out. Nvidia has felt a ripple in the force with these new AMD cards.

ive opened 15 chests and got 4 scraps. So seems to be normal, I am getting a ton of the tomes of knowledge. More than usual.

I still fail to understand your argument about empty SW and DT maps. Last I looked they were far from empty, and lacking the LS2 episodes doesn’t prevent you from getting on those maps to my knowledge. What you miss is the mainly single player story instances which – yes – will prevent you from experiencing firsthand the story between the end of personal story and start of HoT. If it’s for the story alone though, you can catch up on it through ’let’s play’ videos. Of course it’s not the same level of immersion as actually playing through them, but it will give you a full understanding of what went on, and what to expect.

I based my reasoning that on the day of release every one that now populates SW and drytop will move on to the new area basically leaving those areas baron for at least the first day. all the NEW players will be lvl 1 and leveling up and cant access those areas. The ones that bought Gw2 on the sale that does not pay to do ls story will simply just move on to the new area because this is where all the people will be.

Anet already said that new palyers will get the game with the expansion to stop a huge price being a barrier . Now to the HOTS expansion goes on where LS2 left us. the existing Gw2 crowd got it for free and some paid for the episodes they missed. So there will again be some people who will moan and some that dont.

But this option will have some people unhappy and some not. The best way to deal with this is to say that all new players will be FORCED to do the LS2 first before they can move onto the HOTS areas. That means the existing players AND the players who who bought the gems will have access to the HOTS content hours before the new players can.

that is a very fair way of doing things.

You cant expect people to pay $50+ only to tell them they need to pay $20 extra so they can catch up on the story. That is the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

Hi guys in order for me to explain why i need mini pets i need to give some context .

I am a HUGE gamer but my GF is not. The only game she has ever played was Gw2 and this was on the account of her previous BF. He tried the game didn’t like it and handed it to her and since then she has massed up 8000Ap 4 lvl 80 characters a lot of account bound items and thousands of gems bought to increase bank slots bag slots etc . When we moved ISP the ex kept getting mails to auth us to log in. We tried logging a ticket to ask if we can move the account to her email and even purchased a new account but due to the policies of GW2 the refused to transfer it over even though i could prove my CC paid for everything on that account. So effectively we lost the account and had to start over.

TLDR: played on some one else account that doesn’t play gw but now have to start over

The main thing here is that she was pretty upset as any one would be that 2 years of work is down the drain . And she lost all interest to play the game. I have begged her and begged her to come back and she is trying to get herself to actively play again. The thing however she misses the most is her mini collection. Due to our guild mates and myself we were able to fund the purchase of some minis ( why are they so expensive now ?? ) by the sets 1 and 2 minis are no longer featured on the TP.

So what im asking is if any one that is hoarding minis in the hope of a price rise sees this will you be able to sell me some of those minis. I really want my Gf and myself to play this game as much as we used to and this is a huge incentive to keep her smiling and playing.

IM jsut thinking that if a new player starts he wil be lsot as to why we are going to the maguma? What led us to it? And the only way he can do it is by PAYING ? Anet very clearly says that the base game comes free with the expansion. no little star * added with a foot note reading. The base game is free but a $20 gem purchase is required to get into the story ?

I’m still standing by my opinion saying it will be very silly to not include it.

The way I see it the expansion is like the new sports jersey for your favorite soccer team. Irrespective of how much you spent on the previous jersey you still need to pay in full for the new Style but you do not pay extra as a first timer for the development of the previous jersey you all get the same for the funds paid.

So how We are goign about it now is saying that if you do not provide proof of a previous jersey purchase tehy will remove a certain logo and you need to pay to stick it on.

It is a very silly business model. I played the LS and got it for FREE and all i had to do was log in. The new players didn’t have that chance but sure as hell expect to have a good experience. If Anet says nothing and by the time the new players get to the living story they need to PAY to get to the content they have already paid for by getting the expansion people will go MENTAL.

At some time asking the masses for advise is simply not an option and having an unhappy few is unavoidable but its better for the logevity of the game.

lets say i do purchase the ultimate and i can afford it. I now go and play those LS missions and I am the ONLY one in drytop. My money did not buy me happiness because this is a MMO and you need people around you. So even paying extra has made it a very terrible experience ( unless you are a one man show ) And on the other end of the scale the player who cant afford to pay the extra $20 to access this area is also unhappy.

So the way I see it it will be a win win for Anet to allow the LS 2 season for all with the expansion.

Look i get they would’ve planned properly but i would rather them save an extra 30k and rebuild my lion in LA.

Yout guild bank location will change. I will however take screenshots before release of my bank as well as my guild bank to make sure nothing goes missing . Ill also take a screenshot for the log to make sure some one didn’t ninja steal some stuff and the logs are gone

The one thing i liked A LOT about what you said is opening up living story 2 with one of the editions. I would have thought it comes standard but seems that it doesn’t. The ENTIRE EXPANSION continues on where the current LS story left off. Not providing that to any new player would be silly infact it would be stupid. This means that either new players get into the game then see Oh wait i need to pay 1600 gems to unlock the entire story Or existing players will complain about the fact they had to pay to get access to this.

The best balance for this would be to open up LS story by default for new players but force them to complete it before they get access to the new HOTS maps . That means that the existing players base " gets the advantage " of accessing the are at least 4-8 hours before the new players can,

( my 4-8 hours is spot on as i looked at people who bought game in special and already have a lvl 80 character but didnt purchase the LS2 . Those who did can not be punished as they spent Gems on it )

Brand new players would need to get to lvl 80 and explore all the new areas in any case so it will take them a good couple of days.

Anet said they didn’t want new players to have this massive financial barrier to get into the game and if a 1600 gem purchase isn’t a financial barrier i don’t know what is

IM keen to see how they actually do it. They are in for a steep climb to do it . reversing payments will end up to hundreds of thousands in bank costs. They know what the license keys were that sold at certain prices. I would turn cd keys into " vouchers " where on a pre purchase website you type in the cdkey and it activates the discount just like a voucher would have. The problem with this method is it will take some time to do and ontop of that people are buying the game in full expecting discounts to their CC .

Look i like your enthusiasm but they already said we will get new armour and one can assume new styles because you are meeting new races. The lack of his sword is pretty odd though . Would be cool if he is still looking at it and you help him find it ?

Eso has its own problems coming now so just watch that space. People paying subscription will get access to DLC and not be able to play it and new dlc will ahve to be bought. Rumors has it that at $20 for 2 DLCs . This would be what Anet gave us fro free via Living story.

The core players of our guild has been playing together for quite some time, We were some of the core members of another guild on aurora glade that was 500 strong and created a second one but the main guild only saw a 10% rep rate and we decided to move along and do our own thing. We have now been around just over a year and we see quite a big representation in our numbers (100). We didn’t advertise and every one in the guild was found via friends or long term dungeon buddies ( wow that sounded wrong ) . What we were left with was a guild members that are there for each other. Players that will port in anywhere any time to help the new . PVP vets WVW vets and loads of PVE players. A new player hitting level 80 got new armour and weapons for the way they play by donations from other members. And we have a good sense of team work.

So before it sounds like im boasting about my guild lets get back to your story. The problem her is that you need to recruit proper players. IF they start to constantly rep other guilds then tell them to stay in other guilds. There for you create a close knit community that is fun to play with. you will need loads of team work with guild halls. So you have a month or 2 to start weeding out the stragglers.

It is amazing to think how well Anet had structured the living story for us to be so involved with the game. I felt like a little kid last night running around poking every one and exploring to such an extent that people forgot who Indiana Jones was. But to think that I was so involved in the game laughing giggling and the occasional WOW that escaped my lips. This was one hell of a memorable expierience. But 2 things that really ticked me off was

1stly . The lion that was not put back at the piazza is a big let down. The lion ontop of the mist portal simply doesnt cut it. Get the leonardo da vinci of Tyria to rebuild that lion pls. I was very sad to run over and it was not there.

And something that awoke an absolute monster within me was running towards the Tengu gate and to see those ********* ( insert any word you feel appropriate ) TEngu fellows standing IN LA acting like everything is fine. When we needed them they simply fired arrows and killed you on site close to that wall. I ran over and forced my Entropy so hard into a beak only for it to pass right through. Do they really deserve to be back IN LA ? can we as players not give them some payback and leave some corpses?

Ok so I totally understand where you are coming from with " small budget "

But ill be hell of honest with you that buying the listed laptop will see you absolutely hate yourself.

my GF has a similar laptop and runs WvW at <20 fps and she has a I5 processor with 8Gb ram.

ID say struggle with what you’ve got and save up some more. If this is not an option. see below

The saving of $31 you buy the best laptop cooler you can.

You have to balance spu power and GPU performance in these laptops.
There are several with better Gpus in the R3-R6 range but they all have very very bad cpus.
This cpu is not much better but it out performs the I5 2400 that is the Hp Pavilion G6 ranges cpu from 2 years ago. That means it should run Guildwars without THAT much of a problem.

The reviews on the GPU are all over the place with games that should do good doing so bad . but then games you’d think will do bad did better,. Where are you based. We have spent a good 3 hours now helping a friend who has been struggling to get into LA. had to GUEST to a low pop server to open it up. HE has loads of lag in the game especially when bosses hits and 5-10 min loading times on maps.

We have checked almost everything computer wise even REDOWNLOADED Gw2 .

He is on the UK East coast side . and BT as an ISP

@ the AG guys yes we had the guys bulding siege and drain our supply ( one of the T3 EB towers or keeps had any supply last night ) the fact remains taht we shouldve had siege in the first place and refreshed it so that we can be ready for an attack.. GJ underworld and ranik downgrading 2 x T3 towers and a T3 SM

Twinny. Good post mate.. Just remember the only way to beat Desolation is to coat your keep doors with varnish or retaliation.This is their main weakness. In order to become a WVW player on Deso you need to Skip arrowcart/ram/mortar any type of mastery till you get your carpentry master up to 10/10 . This is to skillfully split wood on keep doors. . Its been discussed several times before but when your server has numbers on they hide in towers and after 2 AM CET the hordes crash onto your server with more numbers than napoleon used to conquer Europe.

For this matchup both FS and Gandara benefit from deso not winning. SO hell YOu can even be open about going 2 v 1 here. FS can annoy the arrogant deso kittens that has been mouthing of on the forums and Gandara can sneak a win. I wont mind seeing Gandara win either.

So come FS and Gandara make this work!!!!!!!

IF only ratnik can make the brave move and push through the dredge tunnel . Its like the explorers of the old days.. Thought as soon as they hit the end of dredge tunnel they will fall off the map. But they dont know .. Its Green on the other side of the tunnel.

The fights have been good for me if I had to complain about anything its that 9/10 times ranik and AM sow up at our durious and QL towers at EXACTELY the same time. YOu cant have scripted it better

The pug groups have melted the last couple of hours on EB. But the ADAC group are persistent mother FS and even though the whole " AM runs when they dont outman you 3 to 1 " rumor was going around tese okes stayed and fight and made us work our kitten off for every single kill. We had invi last week on EB . HOpe its adac bringing the fights this time.

Just came over here for 2 things. Fort and Abba. The EB server will not crash if you attack each other. Im not sure what you are scared of but you can honestly try to take a swing at each other. Not sure why you are ganking up on us ? Its not fun being double teamed for 5 hours str8. I get 2 teams working together for a bit to hit the team with the most points but we are even ticking the lowest haha.

Nr 2 .. thanx for the figts so far. HAd some crazy good fights all over EB. You know mostly in our corner but hopefully that could change over the next couple of days

Wow. Humble pie had to be eaten tonight in EB. INVI was in a destroying mood tonight and some more guild groups joined them.. We had the wrong people stuck in ques and we paid desperetaly for it. Im glad we managed to put up some resistance but /bow to your blob tonight in prime time. I dont think we managed to take a tower more than 3 times where previous nights we could take any tower pretty much over and over. ( not bragging saying we got taste of the proper Deso tonight )

I dont think ive died this many times in ages. I had a 1300 ping to the server from SA tonight but not even that is an excuse.

Really well done to you okes and thanks for the solid hard fights.!

Ps: Invi wiped us once and you could clearly see they pulled their numbers back to allow 4 or 5 guys to get away and not hunt them down. respect for that attitude boys

Invi i came here to post the exact same thing. Thanks for the fights in EB tonight. It was crazy fun . thanx for not going the " build more AC`s route ) We had some very good open field fights and the most fun ive had in ages. We were a pug group but our numbers swung it in our favor and if we didnt spot that train in time we lost 20+ in literally seconds.

That was some incredible fighting you brought and made us work for every tower. Thanks for this

I think loads of the complaints is mis understood here. Its not about the loosing . We knew we were going to finish 4-6 if we PLAYED WELL. That was our aim and we knew very well where our strong opponents were going to come from. The guys are not happy that Deso is bragging about the win. The win is quite frankly only due to the capping during the times Underworld and AG dont have players in wvw. When UW and AG have the numbers on Deso quickly start loosing their keeps at 9pm ( +2) last night deso had only their keep on EB and none of the keeps on their own borderlands. This was in prime time when we all had equal numbers.

When there is equal numbers deso is not better than any one else when the numbers are equal and there it comes down to the fights . But deso is getting very arrogant against AG and UW players where i dont think they have the right to be.

IF you had to put the scenario into another type of game. hmm lets take soccer.

IT would be that Man U is playing Man city but city is fielding 4 Goalies where man u can only get 1 onto the field.

is it desos fault they are allowed to do this ? No .. Deso is well within their rights. The servers are open for 24 hours and you can play whenever you want. If deso prefers playing at 4-6am then they CAN. And AG and UW are full of crap if they moan about it. This I agree with. For me the problem from the start came down to attitude.

Anet had the big mistake here of making it a league without proper rules in place for this Deso cant be blamed,

Look we can all speculate on why Deso or Tanko as some call it is in Silver league. We can discuss how Anet is wrong in allowing late night capping or how its part of the game .
There is several things we can moan about , cheer about, fight about , but for me the 1 thing that has become very obvious is that any Desolation wvwer must by now feel ashamed to admit it. Why would I say this when my server ( AG ) is being crushed?

With the amount of coverage you have during the early mornings its a SHAME that you could not make it into GOLD league. Something must seriously have gone wrong for you to not make GOLD if you have a perma que. Deso is so easy knowing their morning krew is coming that between 11am and 2 am ( this is my time GMT+2 ) they dont venture out of their territory on EB.. They simply hug their towers making sure they siege it up knowing the morning krew will hit the empty servers.

What makes this even worse is that THEY BRAG ABOUT IT. How do you go about this? Guys 40 of us just took a borderlands and made it 100 % blue and we even ganked up on the 3 people still on the server. ?

In Prime time we are fortunate enough to have a good 5-8 hours where we have ques on our borderlands . And when we had equal numbers with Deso we were literally running over them. I think we went about 5 hours without loosing a fight on EB, We had to fall back to make space in our inventory. When UW had their numbers up Deso could not even run over the lowest ranked server in our matchup ( soz UW no harm intended here for you )

I also can agree with the Deso guys loosing some guilds and having loads of PVERS that is running zerker gear. We also have this. We lost 3 or 4 BIG guilds that went to other servers and we also have the zerker army. For those high and mighty Deso players acting like you are a god leading a league you should not be in , I suggest you start NOW to get your players ready for gold league.

We have played the top players in Gold and even with our numbers up we had to work hard for every single step we took out of a tower. As Deso stands now going up against servers with equal coverage you will have a very tough time.

MY point im trying to make : You will win this matchup , You will most likely win silver league Just dont be arrogant kittens about it.

Irrespective of who did what to get to this matchup, the fact remains that these 3 servers are in this matchup. The topic was to discuss THIS matchup. So lets stick to it pls. No point crying about the past.

This is quite funny really.

Having commanded on reset night for about 12 hours on EB we had the same idea regarding FS and Gandara haha. Every time we dare to venture close to a FS tower Gandara would hit wild creek. IF we went anza or Mendons Fs would hit Golanta and then move to Klovan Or jerrifers. At one point we had 30 FS at Klovan attacking our tower and 40 Gandara attacking another . It was madness

We were getting double teamed crazy but we managed it. IF anything needs to be mentioned its the NUMEROUS tower glitching that Gandara are doing. Ive seen in Twice myself how a mesmer just appears inside our wall and a whole Gandara blob jsut gets portaled in. It looked like pugs so im not going to try and name and shame a guild on a guess. BUt this group would arrive on our borderlands and the first indication of towers being contested is when there is swords in the LORDS ROOM.

This is incredibly unfair. We were fighting at Mendons on EB struggling our kitten off to take this tower and at attempt number 4 a random voice on TS asked if he should get into the tower to portal us up.. The rage thrown towards this person was so bad that he quit. Why on earth cant other servers play this fairly.

I bought mine with karma ? 21 000 Karma is surely not that bad?

Ive just used my 3rd one and same thing. Even activated stability to try and counter the knock down and it did nothing :/ Couldve sold it for a gold :/
