I play a thief but A-net should make it so you cant stop capping when stealthed like sPVP.

But it is hilarious how so many people don’t know how to counter this little problem. So many people just have no idea how thieves actually stay stealthed.

We know how to counter it mate. But “staying stealthed” inside a gigantic circle with buildings you can hide behind to reset your stealth cooldowns is kitten. And as you can see names through walls, also kitten, when a thief sees someone coming at them they wait until the last minute, then drop stealth..and run to a new hiding spot, go vis, reset cooldown, do it all again. Thats the part thats lame. The ole “just AoE it” is bout shortsighted in a statement as the area is way too big for a small group to try to sustain AoE on it.

Just make the “cap” ring a 1500 diameter circle around where the “boss” spawns. not that gigantic 4k one that 2 thieves can conceivably hold indefinably as in most camps there’s too much stuff to “hide” behind.

Just remove downed state from Wv3, its fine for PvE. Its lame in Wv3 as a large group vs smaller has almost no chance of losing if the larger group pays attention and gets on downed folks right away. This occurs all the time, a more skilled group owns a larger, but the larger wins because the smaller cant spike anyone and the larger keeps rezing them. Remove it from Wv3 period. It’s already lame in the fact that a ton of players do more damage dead than alive. (lol) Also kitten how players take way less damage “dead” than alive (rofl) Fight someone 1v1 and they barely get you to half health before you down them…then play the knockdown, stun, teleport game while theyre in the downed state and when u finally get the spike…ur like 10% health = DUMB! Sort of agree with the post to autoport dead players. You cant fight, move, or anything else while your dead…so why allow them to “see” and scout siege placements for their team. But instead of an autoport make their default screen be the map, so they cant scout for their team, but can still get a rez if their teamates can do it.

Great fight with Kain at EB at Durios earlier tonight. When we got to your other tower it was a gonner…well, right up until someone on DR felt the need to drag the darned Grub into the fight. At that point i just felt the need to let the momentum fade. lol

Other than the bad bad grub..was great fights.

Man we just made history! We actually had forum posts to each other that wasnt negative! I luv u man, hope like heck Kaineng can pull it together and can turn things around. The sooner the better, as I miss those awesome fights we use to have.

If u don’t bother to check your conquests in case there’s someone hiding you deserve to lose it. I do agree that “portal bombing” is lame due culling issues but then you could ban all thief’s from w3 as well. Stop calling nerf’s due to your own shortcomings.

The rendering bug fix that will come down soon will negate the “portal bombing” strat. It will also but a stop to the permastealth thieves. I highly expect a drastic decline in thief leveling at that point.

Wrong. It doesnt “bypass” anything. The mez has to already be inside to use it. Your fault for not sweeping them out.

This is such a dead issue folks. You all act like mez portals are sooooooo OPd. It’s on a 60 second timer for first portal with limited range, and a 20s timer on the linked portal. Nothing like the perma stealth thieves, daggerstorm vanish, rendering issue with stealth..etc.

You want to shut down mez portals, do what a lot of has already figured out….CLEAN OUT THE MESMERS! Stop taking something and pulling the zerg to another tower/keep. Its YOUR fault you lost it to a team portaled in by a mesmer because YOU didnt sweep them out.

They cant permastealth, they cant hide very well, their names are EASY to see. Portals are nothing like when a thief could shadowstep out of the water and into outter gate area. Portals can ONLY be placed if the mez is ALREADY inside. If YOU leave them inside the only fault is YOURS and you deserve to lose the node for not sweeping it.

Stop passing the blame for your failures please.

Oh, yes im a mesmer, yes ive portal folks in because the enemy didnt sweep the area clear. No i dont use it very often as Im normally commanding. Its not a hack, exploit, culling issue, glitch, bug, etc. Its a 20s timer that can easily be negated if YOU do what you’re supposed to do. If you dont then dont complain when you lose a node to it.

Think you all can stop the PRO hateraid? PRO has less than 370 members with bout half not even on DR. All 3 bottom tier servers have “High” population status during primetime. Does DR have higher population in Wv3, I’d agree, but mainly because more DR are in Wv3 than before, not “massive transfers in” as some like to state. Fair weather fighters? Probably true. Wv3 population dropping in the other 2 servers, looks like it. More fair weather warriors? Probably.

PRO is not the cause of every issue you all are having, I’ve read a lot of posts by members of your own servers telling you whats wrong. Suggest you read them too and stop point at one guild on one server as the cause of you “downfall.”

Ferg stepped it up after reset, no noticeable influx of players, just more teamwork and coordination. They passed Kain in points….we gonna hate on them too for working as a team and bringing the fight and never giving up? Chris took his NP guild to Ferg from DR. Is everything PRO getting now going to roll over to NP now if Kain cant stop Ferg’s momentum?

All 3 servers will move up, move down, get owned, and own others. It’s a game and it fluctuates like the tide. Right now DR’s tide is in and yours is out, will it change? Yes, and in your favor eventually.

Its not the end, never will be. All bottom tier servers will eventually move up to face new servers and new players. Heck, we’ve been at it so long we’re almost like family now and fighting each other over minor stuff. (lol)

But either way, how about we all get back in the fight, stop the hate and bring it on the battlefield the way all 3 servers did this past 2 weeks.

One last post before i log into the game, and i direct this to ALL guild leaders on all 3 servers.

One thing about Phizyn, PRO’s guild leader, that reflects on his leadership as well as the respect the guild has for him. When he guildchats a call to war for PRO….regardless of what we’re doing, where we’re at, what we “want” to do….we go to war. PvE is never ending 24/7. We all know that, but we also know that when we joined PRO it was a Wv3 guild, and when the leader or a commander calls us to war…its our responsibility to go. Those that choose otherwise on a repeated basis, are no longer part of PRO. Hardcore? not so much because we all know this on joining, WE made that choice.

Sometimes its a win..sometimes its not. But either way, its fun.

Maybe not for some guilds, but maybe it could be………

Sad to see you 2 powerhouse guilds are dropping out of what Wv3 in GW2 was designed for =(

Yea its fun roaming around in a pack picking off stragglers or busting a zerg from behind. But the most fun I’ve had with you all is those awesome team vs team fights at key nodes. Some of the defenses you all put up were down right brilliant. And i swear, i got spiked in the head more times than i can count by your 2 guilds. Primetime you all can still field those 60 mans, so dont stop! Look at Ferg, they made it a point that if anyone wanted to take their homeland, they’d do it over the entire servers lifeless corpse! I go there not expecting map domination, but betting on a darn good fight by a very talented bunch of players.

Besides, once the rendering bug is fixed then what? Get back into the fight man! A leader’s primary purpose isnt to lead to victory, its to ensure the troops stay focused and never give up! By doing that, victory is a given. (Ferg is awesome example of this btw)

I love our when my server (Kaineg) and we go up against the fergs it is a fun fight and we are about even. But the devonas are completely out numbering us they have more points then ferg and us (kaineg) together. It is obviously a 1 sided battle and we get pinned against them. We all know we would lose in that kind of fight, people I know and some of my friends are going to devonas because they are tired of losing.
Here is why Kaineg will lose.
1. We are the newest server in the game.
2. The more we get stomped the more people that are going to leave.
3. No one wants to move to a losing server.
4. We don’t upgrade our forts because we just lose them 5 minutes later.

Kaineg and the Fergs need to be placed in a lower bracket to avoid this.

Hope they dont transfer to DR and Kaineng is not a lost cause! I think DR is where its at now not by the transfers, because believe it or not there hasnt been a “huge” influx of folks to DR. We are still in the bottom tier and its rare you find groups of people wanting to go all the way to the bottom on a transfer. There’s been some yes, but nowhere near what i think Kaineng folks are imagining. What nailed it for DR was mostly the efforts of a few guild leaders and commanders that had started the framework for some awesome Wv3 teamwork and coordination. (GASM/RED/FWAE/WvW/PvK/and bunch others). Notice i didnt include PRO, because we were not part of that, we arrived i think right as it took root across the server. That coupled with the 50ish PRO that moved that first week gave the confidence boost that DR needed. I’m told more DR folks started doing Wv3 that didnt before as a result. (not transfers in mind you, original DRs)

Kaineng still has some crack shot leadership there: Dyenis, Xii, Darxio..and a slew of others i know have the skills and ability to organize and push a comeback. You guys have the numbers still, Just a few days ago i got a snapshot of a 60 man zerg of Kains during primetime, they’re still there. You all just need to refocus, get some teamwork going within the server so it flows over into Wv3.

And remember this: nobody is the best, nobody is the worst…we’ll all be #1 sooner or later, just like we’ll all be in dead last too.

I will ask you this though: When DR moves up a bracket, do you think you’ll see Kain as a server roll into Wv3 enmasse like you did the last 2 weeks? If yes, why? Folks are still there…the power and skill is still there. Guild leaders/commanders/officers…its your job to motivate, coordinate, plan a strat…implement. DO EEEET!

I know your pain, i can remember when DR was running all over the map. But thanks to a bunch of guild leaders and good commanders they’ve managed to control that “zerg mentality” a bit and get some pretty good teamwork in place. A suggestion mind you: instead of rolling into a map with icon on, leave it off for first 5 mins or so. Sit back and watch mapchat and see whats going on. What ive found is there are a LOT of darn good players in Wv3 that dont have an icon. If they’re doing good, why break that momentum with an icon on the map? Since last week more often than not I dont even put up an icon anymore. Some newer commanders are doing great and those same great leaders without an icon are still leading! Just because we have an icon doesnt mean we should always toss it up and pull people to us. It can have more negative effects that if no “commander” is on the map at all. I’ve found myself more and more refusing whispers to “put icon up” and just joining on the side of the “non-icon” commander and supporting them and their strats.

But be at ease mate, you do what you can when you can…its all any of us can expect from ourselves or anyone else. Server rankings, populations, scores, tallies, etc, those all fluctuate and change.

Hope your morale and rest of Kaineng’s improves. Cuz you all can still bring it and bring it hard!

I’m seeing a lot more teamwork/coordination on your part. I always said you guys were a tuff nut to crack, now you’re up and gotten even better! Kudos to Chris and his NP guild for transfering from DR to Ferg, helping to augment your numbers and providing some relief in the field. Awesome job last night on taking 2nd place before i logged off and darn good job taking and holding your homeland!

Kain:
You’re still fielding some awesome numbers. I kept running into a lot of guild tags i havent seen in the past, that or they’d decided to step it up in Wv3 and put more presence in. Either way the “regular” tags I normally see have dwindled but a lot more non-regulars have filled the gap. I learned quick to not roll in with 2-3 other PRO on a camp that was getting attacked. (lol) (i still feel that the loot bag dropped from my corpse should be MINE darnit!)
Oh, you may get a nice surprise in the next few days or so or early next reset. I know a very very very good Wv3 guild that is looking to transfer. I put in a good word for both Kain and Ferg.

DR:
Server pride is showing, I’m seeing more “PvE” guilds in Wv3 than ever. Fair weather fighters? Maybe, but either way it’s nice to see more DR tags running and helping to push us up in rankings.

DR may be #1 now, last week, and week prior….but 3 weeks ago it wasnt. We should all remember that. Luck could change in an eyeblink and we could easily fall to last place.

I’d like to formally apologize to Kain/Ferg/DR folks for any/all posts ive made in the past. I agree, the forums grew from friendly rivalry to open hostility. Excuses for this, excuses for that, finger pointing, blame…etc.

FERG!!! You leave me alone dangit! Cant you see im by myself tryin to just scoot around the map solo. I turn a corner and POW theres a sea of red Fergs waving hello. Would be ok if they’d stop waving with income missles and spells! hahhaha Heck of some fun though. Im glad you guys are out in massive force and doin some pwnage and wrecking things up. Ive always said you guys were good with great players. Hope you guys can keep the tempo up. With the right strat i can def see you guys nailing 2nd place this week, if not first =).

Kain: Was very surprised at the very low showing of WAR/KAIN/iSpy during primetime when i got on (note: im referencing when i got online). But hey, RL comes first. Hope things are good for you all in RL and you all can get back into WvW soon. SoS still showing up in force with some good fights. NoQQ….still breakign zergs i see, lol. Good job! I did run up a group of folks wrecking you and pushing you back into spawn. Only got the tail end of it, hope it was good fights all around for all servers.

DR: one word only for you ALL..to include all PvErs that did some WvW at reset as a large portion of you jumped in, all guilds big and small, and all gamers period. I AM PROUD OF YOU ALL! I fully expected a Kain blowout until Sunday, imagine my surprise when i logged on and checked score. Took me a few seconds for what i was seeing to register right. lol. Lets keep putting up a good fight and just having some fun.

DR had an impossible to beat population last week, most of the time the best strategy was just skirmish runs on camps and hope the Zerg doesn’t arrive. Taxi were the only guild really putting in the hours while I was on, really need SoS to get some Zergs going again like they had two weeks ago.

Yea, those SoS zergs were awesome. If we were behind on getting stuff sieged up before they showed up it was a steamroll. lol But it quickly became #1 priority to upgrade and siege up key points before they logged on. Once we started doing that we slowed the zerg map domination quite a bit with a handful of regular night shifters. But eventually they’d get everything but the Hills. Thats we’re we’d barely managed to push them off and hold it. Those were prob the best Wv3 matches ive had. We’d managed to hold off that massive SoS tag of red just barely long enough for some day folks to get online and keep them out. Last time it was literally 2% gate, 0 supplies in the Hills and 0 on any of us…we did a rush off the walls just to push them off and that bought us enough time for a few day folks to arrive and finish the push. Those the best fights, so close to wiping then able to pull out the win. (course, there were more that went past close to dying and straight to dying…hahahah)

I’m having zero fun in Wv3 =(

where is KAIN/WAR/iSpy/SoS/NoQQ….heck where is anyone!

i cant find any Kainengs…cept for a few upgraded 80s. =(

I’m seeing posts of transfers into DR. I saw a few uXa and FIST the other day before reset, not enough to make an impact i’d think. GOLD havent seen yet. But even so, i’m being told was pretty much no Kaineng on the maps after reset. Note: i wasnt online until way late, just word of mouth info there) What happened? I wanted to have some all night bare knuckle brawling like last 2 weeks!

So i offer a challenge on reset, take it or don’t doesn’t matter, but just let it be known we shouldn’t complain about the outcome, if you guys actually best us in this friday’s primetime, i give you guys props, if we win, i hope there’s not a load of “but we have a life or you guys hack/exploit/render bug/cheated/etc”.

I haven’t played at all tonight so i can’t take any of this credit but look at a TRUE prime time lead, also look at the time here. This is from us having to capture all these keeps that are probably fully fortified already with decently high supplies. GJ to those that were there.

Here’s another “primetime” pic. See, the potential points numbers are too easy to fluctuate. Also…prominent guilds in your server state your primetime lasts up until bout 12-1am btw.

Was one DR member there dead when i go there (Pic 2), we rushed, 3 of us and broke the zerg wide open. (pic 3 was the prerush zerg pileup)

Reply, please link me where i stated that as I dont recall it. Although your post did make me go back and reread some of mine and i did find an error that i appologize for and will correct now. I said, “your primetimers” managed 0 point gain as of Monday thru reset” I was incorrect in that statement, correct info was that your “primetimers” managed to never retake the lead as of Monday thru reset. Again..sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks for pointing it out so i could correct it.

6: “Challenge PRO to bring it on Friday reset”….you just make me laugh. Lets fight a one sided fight we both know that Kaineng has the overwhelming numbers at reset…lol. How bout we fight on Wed at 3am? or Tue 5am? or a night you always whine that DR is “massive zerging”. You want to challenge PRO…well to do that you have to challenge DR as we are part of the DR server. I counter your offer with this one: If you are so good, so awesome, the best there ever was……then win next week. As one of your guild leaders once said to me…“If im wrong, ill give credit where its due, simply put.” We, DR, accepted his challenge, brought it and brought it hard…. and proved the prior week wasnt a “fluke”. Can you do the same? If not, please dont bother tossing out a challenge that you already know ahead of time thats already in your favor.

7: Pics of potential points — please, those numbers fluctuate so much around the clock its pitiful and prove nothing regardless of what time it was taken. Take a look at the points tally…thats the numbers that count, not fluctuating numbers.

8: DR regardless of what time it is is almost consistently fighting vs Kain and FC while Kain and FC seem focused on fighting only us for the most part. DR doesnt have some overwhelming amount of Wv3rs online. Ive seen zergs on all 3 servers at various hours around the clock that are impressive. I’ve watched FC, whom I’ll admit is undermanned, lay down some straight whip kitten on DR and recently saw them taking huge chunks of the map from Kain during Kain’s prime time. Server populations may not be equal, but in Wv3 that is besides the point. Wv3 populations are what matter and those seem to be about equal for DR vs Kaineng….and I’d say from what Ive managed to see FC isnt too far off the mark either short of some gaps in coverage.

Hope I’ve clarified some stuff for folks, but I’m sure there will be the nay sayers out there. Either way, meh, dont really care anymore. When i first got in the forums I may have made some folks mad, sorry. may have hurt some folks, sorry. may have left some folks butt hurt, sorry. I did take some advice from, believe it or not a Kaineng, which was VERY good. So i started posting a bit different. yea i still “chest puffed”, as someone put it, you do too so dont hate! But i also started posting kudos, props, and respect to servers, guilds, and players. I did this because it seemed like folks where thinking it was all about “dred” and not about the rest of the DR folks in Wv3. Heck, im one player, i did my part sure. But in the big scheme of things my part was so tiny as to be immeasurable. DR is where it’s at today because of teamwork, coordination, supporting each other on all the maps when we could, but mainly because of a group of dedicated and awesome Wv3rs!

The end. Deal with it, get over it, but either way…bring it on the battlefield!

Just read posts from last night til now…wow. sooooooooo much butt hurt in here. lol. all because of a server couldnt pull a win out?

Lets clear up some huge misconceptions:

1: PROs population — yea we have over 400 folks in the guild. at peak guild online times you can see upwards of bout 70 members online. of that 70 easy half are still on GoM or other servers. Of the remaining half bout 15-25 are in WvW at any given time during PROs peak population times. Outside of that you have right around 10 PRO members in WvW on AVERAGE in WvW. So whoever keeps spouting off about this “massive wvw guild zerg” needs to get some facts before they start mouthing off rumors. SoS fields a ton more players on a map than PRO could hope to field…so does KAIN and WAR. So why are you not winning the week? Because DR as a whole is united and shuts you down, yea its not PRO..its DR thats doing it. PRO just a small fraction of the guilds/players out there on the WvW maps kicking butt and taking names.

2: PRO isnt what pushed DR to the lead. At a critical time PRO filled a niche that was empty and that was a pivotal moment for the server as a whole. That spread into a lot more teamwork, a lot more communication. Its very common now for whispers to go out to known commanders or known good players asking for “help over here”…and guess what DR as a whole answers that call! RED/GASM/WvW/FWAR/PvK/PRO/and a TON of smaller guilds are out there day in and day out all day 24/7 doing the best we can. It’s not PRO..its DR..get it right or stay quiet please.

3: Yes PRO left GoM to move to a server hoping for better WvW. Yea we could have moved up like 99% of folks do when they transfer, but we didnt want to. We moved down not just a tier or two..but all the way to the very bottom. MYSELF, i wanted us to move to Kaineng because i knew they had good coverage but was just a bit weak on the offshift, which PRO had enough offshift gamers to make a decent impact there. Even after our win the first week, i’d told Phyzin i was prob moving to Kaineng because i wanted a more balanced WvW team that covered round the clock. I’d already done some research, Kain had the #s, just lacked guidance, teamwork, or something….figured i could try to get some unity going there. 2nd week win i’d made up my mind to move and move i did even with lot of PRO asking me to stay. I moved with all intentions of doing everything i could to help Kaineng. upon arrival i got all the hate from kaineng over losing and them blaming PRO for all of it. Even got blamed for spying and “giving PRO the orb”..even though i portaled the entire kain zerg back into garrison..and they still got owned. My fault for that too i guess. well, only so much hate one man can take..so i moved back to DR, called it “home” and dumped every bit of devotion and aid i could to help push DR to the #1 position. I wont claim I alone got us the wins. I did my part no more than any other Wv3r on DR did. WE as a TEAM did it. And kitten proud of all of DR for what they’re doing.

4: My “exaggerated numbers” in regards to Kains zergs. Thats why i started posting pics of them. Got tired of the “we got nobody on nights is the only reason DR wins” but i consistently see 40+ folks zerging from Kain on a regular basis. I know for a fact the team i lead when im online, or even the team im on when someone else is leading, is not ‘steamrolling’ NPCs. we’re always going up against some serious numbers from both Kaineng and FC. FC sometimes not as many as us, but they sure as heck put up a fight and make you earn anything you take.

5: Kain brags about their “primetime” crew, which is online and in max force on Fri reset through sunday afternoon. After than their “primetime” max population goes bottoms up and its the standard population fielding as DR and almost on FC. Prime time…is all about when YOU play, not me, or anyone else. But just to prove a point. Kain’s biggest zerg got online after reset, managed to push a 17k point lead through sunday due to nothing but overwhelming numbers zerging. Sunday night, DR gets online with the SAME number of folks they get on with every night, PRO has about 5-8. PRO members teamed up, as we do every night, with other guilds on DR. The team went up against a pretty even KAIN/WAR/iSpy/randoms zerg. We fought you, and pushed you, and pushed more, like we, DR not just PRO, do every night. Even when SoS got online, the single largest fielding of Wv3s on Kaineng, we crushed their push too. We managed to get 12k point gain in ONE night, while the BEST YOU HAVE could only manage 17k in THREE DAYS! Oh..and “your primetimers” managed 0 point gain as of Monday thru reset. (Bones: on behalf of DR’s night crew, thanks for the props. it wasnt easy, we werent NPC fighting. there were a lot of very hard fights out there that night against some darn good players on both Kain/FC. )

As for your accusations of rendering, portal bug, and anything else you can dream up to make yourself look better we all know how those accusations played out before on the boards. Personally I think a real leader would cover his 6 a lot better than anything I saw last night.

You didn’t own anything on NoQQ, you owned the SIEGE ram sitting on top of your people. Simple as that. That is why so many siege were placed on your guys last night. NoQQ only went for one keep last night & we took it so again your farce of you and 8 others owning NoQQ anytime we went after anything worth taking is a total fabrication as shown in your #2 photo showing us on the bridge about to take it, which we did.

sigh..mate its ok. Do what you gotta do if thats the only way you can do it. We both know you were using the thief and mez portal rendering bug long before I was there. And we both know you got owned all day at anything you tried to take that you couldnt use the bug on. It wasnt until WAR showed up that Kaineng had enough legit Wv3rs with skills to take something. WAR has some awesome folks that know their stuff, stick with them longer and maybe your NoQQ folks will get some of it to rub off. If you can only gank via bug, what you gonna do when its fixed? lol Take a closer look at that pic you referred too. All day it was a NoQQ gank squad on the map doing nothing but attacking players in open areas. WAR showed up to actually capture the map, then you jumped on board with them. =)

Anyways…gratz WAR on leading that zerg with the coattail NoQQ folks riding. Always fun to run up against WAR folks, can always expect a nice good hard fight.

Funny, PRO had been owning NoQQ all day anytime you went after anything worth taking. As NoQQs zerg was made up mostly of thieves and mesmers, all you guys could manage was to ambush players by spam using the known invis rendering bug. Myself i found it funny anyone would resort to such lame tactics. But hey, if you cant take control of the map guess just do what u can. Oh, kwayzeee and will from PRO were the 2 that led bout 8 others in owning you anytime you went after anything worth taking. Sorry the rendering bug dont work for sieges.

Fun fights though, myself i laughed when you all showed up,mass invis or portal bug. And if you didnt get us all youd run for cooldowns to reset. Fun fights overall and enjoy the bug, when its fixed im sure you’ll roll other classes lol.

We have a morning and US prime crew. no euro real euro crew. When I log off at 1am-2am my time we are usually outnumbered pretty badly. Sure we still have a showing but its not strong.

I think you arent quite pegging when US nighttime is because I’m sure your out there in SoS’s primetime which is 12 hours after US prime.

Naw mate, im on US pacific time. When im online, roughly 7-8pm – whenever long as the action is hawt, i’m seeing 20+ zergs from kain out there. The one pics i showed when kain hit a Bay had 2 zergs easily 20+ on both north and south gates. That was very late pacific time, after midnight if i remember right. I only see Ferg suffering numbers on the night shift, but even then you roll up into their BL they manage to rouse up some impressive numbers. I started posting pics because of folks arguing that Kain didnt have a night shift, i def dont think you have a numbers issue. Might be more teamwork/coordination? Lack of night shift commanders? Dunno. Now granted I’m judging what i see based off the map im on. For all i know i could be looking at pretty much all the Kain warriors swarming onto one map at a time and cant field teams across all the maps. Dunno. But you def have a very good night shift that puts up a darn hard and tough fight to get anywhere. I’ve played both server primetime and server offtime….fights seem to be def tougher on the “off time” hours.

Oh…who had an alpha golem in the bottom of the lake near the DR BL garrison hidden? Was out soloin and swimming around and found it. It broke real nice =)

If u was in that zerg, that was me that was running down the steps to check on the gate….hahahah. 1 v billions! tried to find me a hiding spot to ninja back later, but one ur server mates found me. Sorry for the punt off the cliff! (and u didnt gimme nuttin good in the lewt bag either darnit!) But as i was looking at the map and talkin in teamspeak, another one of you showed up and knocked me off the hiding spot lol. Prob woulda put up a better fight vs just 2 of you, but having the wrong weps equipped at the start messed me up…then another 1-2 of you showed and it was over. Hope ma lewt bag gave u a precurser!

I’d like to formally apologize to any/all servers. If anything I’ve previously posted got you wound up, ticked off, hurt, sad, depressed, mad, angry, etc….I’m sorry. Forums are a great place to get friction going and causing rivalry between fighting servers. And although you may not have liked my tactic..it seems to have worked. I’m seeing lots more involved in the forums, tons more in Wv3. Getting lots of whispers in game from all 3 servers. I’m having a BLAST myself. But if my goading anyone caused butt hurt, again I’m sorry. Nothing personal ever, from me anyways.

Yes I do have pride in the server I’m on and yes I have tons of pride for the PRO tag i wear onto the field of combat. And I’ll admit it, anytime i can I have and will continue to claim key points on the map and put up the PRO sigil! (wish i had one for DR as a server)

Love the bottom tier! All 3 servers fielding some awesome Wv3’rs.

Even my DR folks noticed when i hit the field seemed like a large portion of Kainenites would swing my way to down me. Managed to get me a few times, managed to get more of you though. +) and if not, got away from you 90% of the time…lol

- Elvis Kleen [PRO] — Just call him the siege master! You roll into a supply camp and there’s siege everwhere, but only 1 engineer there…yea thats him! Now, if we can just get him to get his commander icon….
- The Omenz [PRO] — recent commander icon truly deserving. I see nothing but good strats from you and very fun to be a regular soldier while you lead the charge.
- Zandaya [RED] — nothing but awesomeness working with you at night! (yea i always mess up your name)
- Xandra [GASM] (yea messed ur name up too, lol) — solid dependability to lead, support, or defend….regardless of what situation arises.
- Teepei [WvW] — On every night, in the midst of the most heated fights every night….first to run to a fallen teamate every night. Only one thing i can say: join PRO =). (yea i tried to recruit, but solid dedication to WvW and cant knock em for it…awesome guild)

Hero of the night:
Rinoa Chere [PvK] — the instrument that gave us the Kains BL garrison back just minutes after we lost it to the huge Kain zerg.

Respect and kudos to everyone, and if i didnt mention you or your guild its only because I cant remember all those awesome players from all those awesome guilds. I do apologize for that.

Another night of awesomeness in WvW.

Kain once again brought the pain and in their usual massive prime time numbers. Blue dots springing up all over the maps. Looked like there was going to be total map domination across all maps, except Ferg’s (Kain doesnt go there other than randoms chasing easy xp).

KAIN/WAR/iSpy/SoS — enforce and seemed like they was PO’d for some reason. Had my little band of PRO on DR BL trying to slow the zerg but quickly realized we couldnt match the numbers. So we played to pure defense game strat. Eventually…patience paid off. Managed to hold them from complete map domination and eventually got a few more randoms and some small guilds in to push them back then out. A DR army not even half the size of the Kain’s sea of red hit the Bay right as the inner gate went down to a ninja Kain zerg. Caught completely unawares, we punched into them and crushed them in the champs room.

DR BL cleaned up we rolled over to Kains BL. Starting ganking Kain soldiers and pushing the map. Roughly even numbers, but DR’s teamwork just couldnt be stopped. Or so we thought, lol. Out of nowhere we met came the night shift Kains! Seemed like every Kain you saw was in groups of 15+ for back capping and 30+ for major nodes. The fight was on in Kains BL! We couldnt hope to hold back the numbers they’d fielded so we were eventually pushed back into their garrison. Props to Kain for a genius move on a watergate ninja and gankin the Garrison right out from under us while we were focused on the large zerg at the west gate. Truly brilliant move there.

Buuuuut….did you like ours? Not minutes after Kain had recaptured their garrison they ran down to the Bay and started laying siege to it. Unbeknownst to them…we had a mesmer inside the inner garrison and hidden. The small force pitted against the countless Kainenites portaled back into the garrison and managed to drop the champ before Kain could get nothing more than a token force back inside. Quickly cleaning up stragglers, we set up some siege and dug in for some defense. 2 hours later, supplies dried up, siege gear broken, sea of red at the gates….we pulled off our next brilliant strat: we abandoned Garrison.

Kain slammed into the defenseless castle and managed to take it back…all the while the lil group with me was quietly building siege in the Hills. Wasnt long before the Kain zerg arrived at the Hill’s north gate. Rams were up, the attack was on. We’d been out at a supply camp getting much needed supplies when the attack commensed, but we rushed back just in time. Gates 50%! manning the siege and unleashing hell on earth…we broke the rams and pushed the zerg back down the steps. Loot bags seemed like they were falling from heaven! Elvis was rocking the gate with grenades, Sword Blades and myself were on catapults destroying anything and anyone that even thought of approaching the gates. Elvis checked the zerg status, as most of us couldnt see because we were manning the few pieces of sieged we’d managed to build. “They’re about to break!” he called out….PRO lead the charge over the walls. Along with the few dedicated DR’rs we rolled over the walls like a tsunami. Against overwhelming numbers we repeated history….for the second time we utterly destroyed the Kain zerg at the Hills, an almost picture perfect repeat of yesterday.

Taking the time while Kain licked their wounds and wonder what the heck had just happened, we quickly grabbed a supply camp and got supplies. Just in time, Kain reformed and came again! This time we knew we were in trouble…gate barely 25%, supplies out other than what we carried, siege gear along outter wall all but destroyed. Give up? HECK NO! We dug in and swore to bleed every drop of blood we could before we went down. Timing our solo repairs of the gate, tactical drops from the catapults, we managed to hold on until backup arrived. Gates were literally 2% or so from breaking when Morningstar arrived with the much needed help. Kain thinking a win was a sure thing…u could almost hear their gasp as once again DR stormed the walls and rushed the zerg…each taking on 3-4 Kains at a time. Demoralized, Kain fled in fear back to the garrison, or spawn after the spikes.

Kain didnt come again after the Hills while i was online. They instead went to chasing the easy NPC nodes on the maps and started to get map control back. Morningstar hazed them across the map and was taking almost as fast as they were capping elsewhere. All the while my small group went to work on the Hills, getting it ready for the next siege.

BEAUTIFUL night of fighting. Every night seems like its the best then WHAM! another outstanding night. All servers need props for what i’m seeing out there. Primetime, afternoons, nights, late nights, mornings….i’m seeing more folks in Wv3 than ever before and everyone is bringing their A game to the battlefield.

Kaineng DOMINATES the prime time. What are you going to do about it? I don’t wanna hear about how your feelings are hurt. Or how you feel a “condescending” tone makes people look bad. I want to hear that you whiners have some sort of fighting spirit in you.

DR’s offshift with less players online that Kain managed to gain 12k points on Kain’s 17k point lead in one night. Kains “primetime” came online with a 5k lead and DR’s primetime managed to lock Kain down for no more point gain and even managed to drop the lead to 2k.

Check the score…

Mayhap if you were out front helping Kain instead of in the rear snapping pics of yourself….

Roughly 50 folks transfered in and out of that maybe 20 at peak times is online in WvW. Wasnt the transfers that did it, was the teamwork/communication on DR as a whole.

Ahhh..now i got a name to the pattern on the back of the armor. As i’d said in my post I’d ran into you a few times and each and every time you take off running to either spawn, a tower/keep, or to NPCs whichever is closer. Guardian/warrior ,meh all the same to me.

Oh…a mesmer standing in place and not using abilities…wow is that what you really expect? Anyways…thanks for the lewts baggage and I’ll be looking for you in the game. =)

As I said when we first came here, we only have so many dedicated people.

The difference between PRO and a huge guild is that.. we actually have loyal/dedicated members. We aren’t a random invite pick me up guild. We evaluate each member, and have certain requirements.

We get them into TS, and when its time to rally the troops, they hop into TS if their not already there and rally to me(phizyn) or other commanders who rally ’em up.

Thats what I believe anyways.

Props to everyone on @ nights, props to Dred as well, one of the PRO commanders. If it wasn’t for you night crew we would be losing for sure!

Thanks for the props Phiz, but I wont take credit that isnt mine. I was there and led when I felt it needed it. But for the most part the night crew didnt require it. An icon on our shift is more of a focal point to a location when something is needed than a commander. We all work very well together. Some props to those i think deserve it:
- Elvis Kleen [PRO] — fast becoming a good commander (get ur icon!)
- The Omenz [PRO] — great strategies and gratz on the icon!
- Ashalyn [PRO] — always willing to stay behind and defend/upgrade/build siege while the rest of the group pushes forward
- Sir Morningstar — Out there every night leading and tearing up the maps (believe he was the one who took it to Kain last night and pushed them off of EB)
- Zandaya — Always brings great teamwork and coordination to the table
- Gasmic — when he shows up theres a sea of red [RED] on the map….lol
- Sword Blades [PRO] — leads the charge, even when he’s solo….lol
- Istaofgod — Brings small guilds name to the front of the action and can always depend on them when you need help/support anywhere on the map

Guilds: PRO / GASM / FWAE / RED / WvW / SoCo / DARK / SKY and ton of others I’m sorry i cant remember the tags. Thanks to YOU DR folks we overtook a large point deficit and pulled into the lead.

I hope i did my part, but the DR server as a whole deserves the props and respect, not any one player. As neither myself nor any player or guild could have accomplished it. Great job Devona’s Rest…now keep it up!

Update: Some fun fun fun fights so far.

Kain: give you props, today your brought it and brought in in crushing manner. DR had the skills but we couldnt match the numbers you were fielding in that massive zerg you had running around this afternoon. Fun fights though =) bring more like that! Gratz on the zerg capping wherever you took the zerg, but when you left you lost most everything shortly after.

Ferg: It was me over there playing with 5 PRO. Yea, we ninja’d the Bay outter gate and was a rough fight after we got through the inner the first time. Fergs + npcs + lord = nasty lol. You managed to drop all my lil team but me, managed to get away, hide, then portal my team back inside along with a few random DRs that were in there doing xp trains. Bay fell at that point. Yea that was my lil 5 man that ninja’d the garrison outter gate and was giving you heck for a bit. lol (pic below of it) Was some fun over there and first time id been on Fergs homeland in a very long time.

DR: props for holding out vs kains numbers for as long as you did! Outmanned but not cringing in fear, you managed to lock down Kains primetime so they couldnt extend the point spread. Kudos to all of you. Not sure who was in EB but i saw on the map there was a while there where i saw green dots jst sprouting all over the EB map. lol Props to whoever was leading that.

Well, bout a 2k diff in points spread right now, been that way for most of the day with very little fluctuation. Now the DR offshift coming online, undermanned but heroes none the less. What do we have to look forward too? That darn sea of SoS zerg! lol We gonna try to do what we can to overcome that last 2k points and hopefully pull ahead before morning. Just hopin we can get those 10-15 DR folks that were on last night. We get them together again…its a cinch!

Awesome battles across all the maps. Lotta good chatter im hearing for all servers in the fights.
