- My GW2 main is a Sylvari Elementalist and my primary alt is my Asuran Guardian. Both are level 80.

While trying to make your gem purchase, you could try selecting a different payment method and then clicking back on the payment method you intended to use.

Inculpatus cedo is correct. For a case like this, it would be best to contact our wonderful customer support team so they can look into why the code is not applying on the account for you.
The Issue I keep getting is When trying to buy Gems with my credit card it just says There was an error and to please try again later.
Attached is a screen shot after I try to submit my credit card information.
I am receiving the same issue as Lord SilverStone.3782 when attempting to purchase gems from the store with a credit card. This has occurred multiple days and with different gem amounts (2800/$35 and 800/$10). Error is the same as the screenshot in his post.

This issue you are experiencing is separate from the Currency Exchange blank page being discussed in this thread. Can you please submit a ticket to Customer Support for further assistance?

We pushed a change a few hours ago in hopes that it would relieve some of this issues. If you are still experiencing issues, we’d love to know more to help our investigation. It would be great if you could reply and provide the following information:
1. Which part of the BLTC you were trying to load?
Examples:
- Gem Store (buying items from the store)
- Currency Exchange (gold-> gems -or- gems -> gold)
- Trading Post (buying/selling in-game items to other players).
2. What happened instead?
- Blank brown screen?
- Blank black screen?
- Do you have a screenshot?

Now opening the TP freezes and then closes the game on a mac.

Just got this error today at the time BLTC crashed to earth and I can’t send anything but I can receive mail. I’ve noticed through Google that this bug has happened before. Is it only me or any of you guys having the same problem today?
Ed: I can’t sell anything on TP.

If you mean the BLTC window, yes. I have also closed the game entirely and restarted it and it still happens. If you’re talking about my actual internet browser (Which shouldn’t be related to the game itself, should it?) then no as I’ve had this up for days with quite a few tabs.

We have identified and resolved the certificate issue that was preventing the Black Lion Trading Company from loading in the Mac Beta client. The certificate was reissued by our data asset manager as part of the Heartbleed bug prevention. ArenaNet, LLC was not infected by Heartbleed and your information remains secure.
For some players, the BLTC is still not performing consistently.. While we are tracking on this issue, unfortunately we are not able to provide a timeframe for when it will be resolved.
We have made this patch to GW2 Mac Live and have removed the workaround previously mentioned.

Checking in here- we are still working on getting an update that patches automatically. This will remove the need to do the workaround mentioned earlier in this thread.

The new patch didn’t work for me.
But following Sarah’s direction (renaming the application, downloading the .dmg file…etc) worked. Thanks.

We’re going to need to spend some more time on getting a patching resolution. As this could carry into the weekday, the team would like to give you an optional workaround.
1. Rename your existing application file to something other than “Guild Wars 2”.
2. Download a new “Guild Wars 2.dmg” from here:
http://cloudfront.guildwars2.com/client/branches/Gw2Setup.dmg
(or) from the account manager on guildwars2.com.
3. Open the file and install the application. This installation should fix the certificates issue you’ve been experiencing.
4. When the installer completes and the Guild Wars 2 client begins patching, close the application.
5. Delete the new “Guild Wars 2” application that the installer placed in your Applications folder.
6. Relaunch the original application that you renamed in step 1.
7. The application will patch to the latest version.
