I downloaded the 64 bit and still crashing after the DS meta event as well as the VB one.

I’ve downloaded the 64 bit client and still having issues. I’ve attached the report and would appreciate someone looking at the report and letting me know what the issue is. It is extremely frustrating crashing after an hour long event. This has happened multiple times in DS and VB.

I am using Verizon FIOS as my internet provider. Ever since I switched to them my game has been laggy and I get multiple network disconnects a day. I hope I am contributing to some sort of answer. As it stands playing the game is very frustrating especially since when I was on Timewarner I had no issue at all.

So did this really work? My Verizon FIOS network is killing this game for me. And its only FIOS. TImewarner, the crappy cable it is, never gave me this issue.

So I have access to both Internet providers. The FIOS is 150/65 while the Timewarner is a much slower speed. When I’m connected to FIOS I get disconnects and 2-4 second lag delays. When I’m on Timewarner I don’t get any disconnects or lag.

I was wondering if anyone has encountered something similar or perhaps there is a known issue with FIOS. I was thinking could my Internet be TOO fast for GW2?

Any thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve been getting major skill lag today and have DCd 8 times in the last two hours. This is highly unusual. With this game I have at least 1 DC a day but the last two hours has been so tough I cant even really play. And forget about a Chest event. Maybe it has something to do with the update tomorrow. I dunno. But it sure is frustrating for a consumer of their products.

The skill lag is getting worse. Not a day goes by where I’m not affected by it. This morning I was playing just fine. Then the afternoon comes and it would take 3 mins to activate a skill. GW2 is the only game where I experience this. Sometimes I have to reboot the modem, then reboot my comp to fix it. It makes playing this great game very frustrating. I wish we would get some feedback from Anet in terms of what they think this might be and how to resolve it. With so many people complaining about it, one would think it would be an important item of discussion at their meetings.

Having the same exact issue. Today its been the worst. Cant play for more than 5 mins without it DC’in. GW2 is the only game where I get these issues. My internet works fine but I keep getting disconnected from the game. Not sure wth is going on but its aggravating.

Im having this problem too. I called my internet provider and from their end they saw no issues. I get random DC’s and sometimes my internt wont work even though my modem is telling me its working. I’m from NY.

I’m a D/D-Shortbow thief. When I’m farming in Orr I usually never have a problem with my setup. Nor did I have one when I was leveling.

I use LDB+Caltrops+spider venom. I can kill many normal mobs or even a few vet mobs in one exchange. Kiting thru caltrops, applying bleeds from LDB and posions from spider venom.

Heres my build. Mind you its not really for pvp. Although I do use it for wvw.

Basically I get 7 stacks of might, reduced CD on posions and signets which allow me to keep applying the might quicker. I use steal ALL the time. Its one of our best skills imo. Having it apply dmg/posion/buffs is really key and it hits like a truck.

Keep putting time into your thief, it will pay off. Only issue I have with our class is the low health vs others. But it just means you have to be quicker to react then others.

Heres my thief in Asura Cultural T3, with T3 dagger and a T2 dagger. Heirloom, scarlet and blue ice (think thats the name).

Anytime Ive played more than a 100 hours in a video game I always consider it worth my money.

Speaking for myself, as a D/D thief, I use a mix of Carrion and Rampager.

Other than the fun I have in WvW, I dont see a whole lot of incentives. Yea you can get armor/wpns, but those badges drop very, very slow. Server pride and bonuses are great too but what about the individual?

Well this is good news. I was getting extremely frustrated with the back to back misses. Glad they fixed. Now if they can only fix the Bayt SP…..

So for you thieves out there, did they truly fix the miss rate on HS? I’m working so cant check it out myself.

As most of you know they were supposed to fix it according to the patch notes.

“Please fix the heartseeker miss rate bug, there was distinct increase in miss rate after the “nerf” (it’s at least 33% now, I can’t even remember it missing before). This isn’t about PvP or spamming, the skill is just terrible right now. It’s not uncommon to miss target golems from behind three times in a row.”

“Dodging is also wonky, and often “resets” my location back to the mob, despite no clear obstructions in the dodge path.”

Aeden got it right. HS has major issues with missing. And Dodge is def bugged. Sometimes when I dodge I do a flip in place, rather than fliping away from the mob.

As an Asura, I personally like the Cultural armor T2/T3 for thieves. Even a mix of the Asura armor with the Orr karma armor is nice (which is what i’m wearing).

PVE – Using Heartseeker doesnt make a person bad. It only makes him bad if thats ALL he uses. As a cond D/D thief I use heartseeker when a mob is below 50%. I cant tell you how many times I miss. Its extremely annoying to have a mob at 5% and my HS miss twice. None of my other abilities miss nearly as much as HS. Let me say though I like the dmg changes to the skill but the missing is extremely annoying at this point.
