I know.. the report function ingame.. but I reported these guys two weeks ago and they keep multiplying EVERY day.
In Ruins of Surmia server at the Quaggan node we got about !!12!! farmbots farming krait, why is this an issue? Because we never go outmanned when we actually are, not that I care about the buff, but when a zerg moves to your border.. outmanned often gives it away, not anymore thanks to these farmbots.
They are all part of fake guilds “Shin”, “fgtg” and “LY”, I won’t be naming names.. but one of the farmbots has “Duskbringer” in his name lol.
Jokes asside, could this be looked into asap please? It’s gamebreaking, ridiculous that 12 farmbots are farming Quaggan node for 2 weeks already.. :/
About alliances: I don’t believe there is any. You both servers have better numbers. Just a fact.
Sometimes it happens that we have 50 guys online and oh, they’re all on the same border (EB or ours), so of course you think you’re outmanned. You actually are. On that map. On other maps, we’re getting stomped.
So let’s just face this conclusion: we have less wvw players than each of you two servers and in that regards, we’re doing fine.
Believe it or not, this is exactly how it is with Surmia.. we move our main zerg back & forth, we simply don’t have the numbers to run two zergs on different borders.
I’m almost always on home border defending agains’t campflippers, my guild is “Two Golems One Keep [zGík]”, whoever tried to campflip on our borders have met us for sure.. lol
I report everything I see and I report bigger threats directly to our commanders/main zerg, but we simply don’t have numbers to run two seperate zergs.. hell, last week I ninja’d Hills with 4 people and capped cragtop & almost all of your supply camp.. with just 4 people, while you were busy defending Bay from AR, it may seem we have a big force there but in reality we’re just being sneaky.
The number difference between WSR and Surmia is really not that big, the only difference is our people have high morale because we’re winning the matchup & won previous matchups.

This doesn’t even make any sense.. for the past 3 nights we’ve had 40-60 AR on our borderland while only defending with 10 of us. We’re just lucky AR is full of derps, especially their commanders lol.
If you’re only able to take the south towers with 40+ zergs.. and the help of breakout event.. that’s quite bad.
Back to Messiah; our server is simply more organised and has more skilled players, what else can I say?

When I’m not commanding I’m usually playing solo or with just one friend, we roam around and take on smaller groups that try to campflip.. call ourselves the border defense.
Thing is though, how often we need to kill people 3-4 times before they are actually dead, in a 2v5 for example.. downed state should be there agreed, but ressing happens way too fast. Good luck stomping, res always wins vs stomp.. I don’t even stomp anymore, I just focus on the guys trying to res others, get some dps done on them..
I just feel picking someone up is a bit op right now.. especially in WvW, if you win vs numbers.. but those numbers have the ability to quickly revive eachother..
Arborstone has the number advantage by miles.. WSR has equal numbers to RoS, but it all comes down to organisation.. and guess what?
RoS sucks at organisation, WSR even more and Arborstone the most of all, if you had any form of organisation you would crush both WSR and RoS, you had two zergs of 40+ people on just OUR border at reset, zergs of +40 on EB a lot of times.. that is a luxury.. but cuz of lack of organisation you’re not archieving anything with it.

I actually.. transfered two weeks ago from a “higher tier” server, or atleast a very healthy server on the rise.. and the communication we had there doesn’t exist on RoS.. or on a very small scale.. and I’m pretty sure it is non existant on both WSR and AS.

All Arborstone needs is organisation and communication, you were a top tier server not long ago.. probably had your competitive guilds leaving to another server.. you do have the people to be a mid tier server.. not the absolute top, but with the people you got you should be able to tier up a few times.

Name a prior nerf that hit thieves harder than mesmers.
Increased revealed from 3s to 4s, this only affects the proper thiefs and not the type that burst you down in what seems one hit and runs off to only strike back like a minute later when all skills are off cooldown again.
It hasn’t affected my game too much (I play d/d and p/d depending on what I feel like :P) but it did kill the rotation, I was forced to drop haste(stomping only) for Shadowstep incase I get knocked down or rooted or something, because 4s revealed is so deadly.. with the loss of Haste I find it impossible to even win a 1 on 3 when all of them are upscaled because they can simply pick eachother up. My guardian would smoke them.
Thief is seriously no threat.. and it wasn’t even one prior to the patch, it’s just the nature of bad players whining on the forums about thiefs. My only complaint about thief is Shadow Refuge because it even allows the worst player to escape a fight when they deserve to die.

You’re more likely getting banned giving out names on the forum than hacking ingame, with all due respect to Anet.. but I feel when clear evidence is given a user shouldn’t get an infraction.. it demoralizes people to even report cheaters, which at many times is HARD to do ingame, since as said, once they are spotted they vanish into thin air.. and sooner or later they are going to get lucky and wipe a fully upgraded keep.
I’ve seen more and more hacks show up lately and they seriously need to get addressed ASAP, they are ruining the game.
Proud to see UW perform so well. There was more in this matchup for us, but next week is a new week and new opportunities.
I have left UW for a lower tier server (to create a WvW focused guild which will be a lot easier to form on a server that actually needs more of them, no one on UW is waiting for yet another guild, right? That’s what my thought was atleast).. but I am and will be watching UW closely, it’ll always be my #1 server but for now I’m going to focus on the guild I created and hope I can archieve stuff with it, long road ahead of me.

As above, UW has had literally no new guilds come to our server (especially WvW oriented).
This is just a much improved communication and experience thing, to the point where even casual WvWers on our server have learnt tier 1 tactics and are sticking with commanders, whereas last time we fought, we were dotted everywhere.Our climbing the ladders has also meant that alot more PvEers have starting WvWing. Our server has always been a PvX and PvE will forever be our main forte, but its nice to have the additional support of the casuals.
I’m enjoying the match up, I haven’t seen the vid so can’t comment. Also the youtube vid at FS keep I am slightly disappointed in, but am glad none of my guildies were there the entire video. Wasn’t even aware it was possible (and I presume its now patched)

I miss FS guild “BloS”, are they still up and running? I haven’t seen them around yet.
& Also Dragons in Exile [DIE].. which a lot of people thought I was spying for in the past because my guild at that time had the same tag. :P

None of the “hardcore” WvW players or guilds in our community know the guild or the player in question, it’s literally the first time I see that guildtag which means hes a total random guy.. probably found a hack somewhere and felt like trolling around in WvW a bit. You can’t reflect the actions of one individual on our entire server.. as I remember about “old habbits”, I’ve seen a lot of FSP thiefs speedhack in the past and I never even moved about it on the forums because it’s never the main WvW guilds involved with cheating, it’s always random individuals.
Last matchup I’ve seen a underlvled ranger teleport inside a tower right next to me and when he was about to die speedhack away, he was a player on UW I had never seen before.. but I made literally everyone I know report him, I will do the same if I see this individual or anyone else cheating.
So please stop looking at these things with tunnel vision and enjoy this matchup, thank you.
Finally, more skill required from then on. Sick of thieves who always stealth-leave the fight when they lose. (I have a thief, too, and I think it is the right thing to happen.)

Anet needs to fix stealth AoE, not the stealths that require you to be active in combat, maybe reduce the damage on CnD so people couldn’t “chain abuse” it to kill people, although I’ve never seen that happen lol..
There are a million ways to counter a thief, the easiest one is to spam AoE all around you.. or the fact a thief has NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stability other than Dagger Storm, sure you still have some getaways such as Shadowstep, but those require skill and reaction to use in a situation where you’re being knocked down repeatedly.
I always have the feeling people who are supportive of this idea are spies who secretely hate thiefs. o.o
This “fix” would kill everything a thief stands for in WvW imo, the real problem is not the thief, it’s the kittenty players that aren’t willing to learn about the class and only complain on the forums.
They should nerf every AoE stealth thief has.. but shouldn’t touch the ones that actually require you to land a hit or require you to combo. The only OP thing about stealth right now is AoE such as Shadow Refuge imo.. it angers me each time a thief manages to escape with 5% health using Shadow Refuge.
But revealed each time you get out of stealth will literally destroy all of our current builds imo.. and maybe even the purpose of playing a thief, the only complaints really come from people that don’t understand the class.. and they often hide behind the excuse of playing a thief themselves lol.
Agreed, a skillful player can archieve a lot more playing a thief than any other class, because of the stealth/survivability options thief has, this is also why I swapped my Thief over Guardian (although I am a beast on my Guardian as well lol, people that 1on1’d me would confirm, my Guardian is able to destroy any class except Ele because of the speed/healing it has ;P)

This would be a horrible change.. keep in mind culling is being fixed in the next patch, this will already fix “stealthing” in a huge way.. and the only problem with the current stealth (apart from culling) is Shadow Refuge being too OP. Hence I don’t use it on my thief because it literally takes away the skill of playing the class, play without Shadow Refuge and you’ll find thief more enjoyable.. it’ll require skill because you need to land your CnD.. or with d/p you need to avoid hitting people when going stealth..
I never understood all the whining about the thief class because the only time I found thiefs “OP” is when I only just started playing Guild Wars 2, I think the class is just too much for new players to understand.. playing a thief the way it’s supposed to be played is a lot harder than some people would think.
Fix the AoE stealths (and make you only stealth with actual targets/combos= skill), this would be a nerf I’d look forward to.. but reveal buff each time you get out of stealth? Renders thief completely useless imo.
Not true, even traited with gear for duration, thieves have a window open on CD’s. Often will leverage CnD on npc’s in the area not to use there utilities.

I read people saying this doesn’t work any longer, I can assure you it does work but it gains a thief 0 advantage, all the traits go to extra iniative (thief’s energy), which means less healing/damage output in order to maintain the stealth. Attacking someone ALWAYS reveals you.. the “perma stealth” shown in this video is 100% useless. You aren’t attacking, you aren’t able to cap something.. you’re able to stay cloaked and that’s about it. It’s not worth the loss of traits to keep perma cloaked like that, because once you’re visible, you’ll likely die instantly.
Like I already said 1000 times before.. I agree in some situations stealth is OP.. mostly when a thief uses Shadow Refuge.. because that basically resets a fight. I don’t use Shadow Refuge on my thief because it takes away all skill literally, drop low on health? No problem, Shadow Refuge & get out..
Thief is so much more fun if you play without it, it means there is no room for error, one mistake kills you.

I got Haste instead (easier to stomp people), not the burst down people kinda Haste. :P
But in the end, WvW is large scale battles.. and all I see here is whining about small scale battles and people getting “dominated” by thiefs and their stealth, if you don’t wander off by yourself and play WvW the way it’s supposed to be played, you will never encounter problems with a thief.
So only thieves are allowed to play outside of the Zerg? Where is that stated?
I love your skill to twist around my words, if you were as skilled ingame you probably wouldn’t be whining on the forums or even make a signature about it.
I was able to kill and stay alive a lot easier on my Guardian than on my thief. As one guy said a few posts above, playing a D/D build requires skill, if you miss CnD once you are screwed. If a thief gets revealed for even 2 seconds it can be deadly.. because it’s one of the squishiest classes.
As I said before, if Anet nerfs Shadow Refuge.. it would already add a whole new dimension to playing a thief, because D/D requires skill to stay invisible, you need a target to hit (if the target has for example Aegis on.. you are already screwed lol).. and D/P doesn’t need a target but it’s quite hard to play, one mistake makes you run out of iniative and you simply die after that.
The way I play my thief is, I scan for weak targets withikittenerg/group, protect supply camps against larger groups until reinforcements come. It takes skill to stay alive and not be wiped and surely not every class can do this.. but that’s the specific role of a thief, that’s its nature.. every class stands out in something.
The roughly 35G transfer fee might be playing a part in that. :P

The only thing that MIGHT need a nerf is area stealth (refuge stacks up far too high for a single person).. other than that the thief needs to be fairly close to its target in order to stealth.
Some people would like to see stealth completely gone, you don’t realise how squishy a thief is though, a thief can do NOTHING if you spam around a little AoE.
Playing a CnD thief takes more skill than you’d think, you need to firstly land your CnD, if you are being knocked back or interrupted at that point, you’re pretty much screwed (of course you got Refuge..), in order to do a decent amount of damage you need to be able to backstab..
It’s just the full glass cannon thiefs that go stealth for 13 seconds with refuge and burst you down (and then run off for 60 seconds until their signet & refuge & possibly haste is off cooldown) is giving thiefs a bad name and causing so much whine on these forums, but those sort of thiefs are easy to deal with tbh, since they’re google builds and mainly played by bad players.
Ps. How often are you able to stomp someone 1vs4 (if good players?), that is if you manage to take one down.. downed in WvW is a pain and makes it really hard to win 1vX, especially if your opponents know what they’re doing, this game isn’t made for skill to be victorious lol, fought 1v5 with my Guardian the other day, downed 3 of them (but they were being picked up instantly) and I ended up dying without a single kill basically, because you are unable to finish people off.. what I do when I down someone is fight on the corpse with aoe and hope you finish them off that way, because stomping just doesn’t work, its FAR too slow.

If you go back 2 months, we’d get stomped by your realms, UW made so much progress.. it’s still a bit hard to believe even in a higher tier we are currently leading, but the lead is so tight, it can change quickly.
Enjoying this matchup a lot so far.
Dzagonur is too random, I’ve only seem them pull off one well coordinated attack on UW BL, the day after reset when they took both Bay and Hills, had a real struggle there.. but I haven’t seen them at all the rest of the week lol.
In previous match ups I did notice whenever we took something on enemy border, Dzagonur would show up and take what we took from them, because we left it undefended and unupgraded.. rats they are!
It’s tactic though, but rather annoying to cap a keep and lose it a few minutes later to a huge Dzagonur zerg looking for easy points. :P
Jathres not gonna be able to play during week days? That means I get to hunt him only on weekend, aww balls.

That Garrison siege on RoS borderland was a blast! Nice siege placement and spirit you guys had there.
And whats this you talking about lost force? Did some of the guilds leave the server or are they not playing anymore?
XT & WIC + rest of the alliance left to Piken Square I got told, which is really sad for this matchup and especially for RoS, I kinda feel them as a similar thing happened to UW in the past.
Damage is pretty decent if you boost up your precision a bit as a Guardian, I do regular hits of 1.5k, lacking cc though.. been thinking of trying to swap to hammer but I’m too attached to my sword & focus. :P
Focus shield deals like 3k damage when it explodes (it only explodes if you weren’t hit 5 times whilst it was up and running), that’s an insane amount of damage.. so if you see me running towards you with a shield up, either run or or blast the kitten out of me so my shield goes down. xD
You shoulda seen that one FS guild we used to fight, “Master of Elements”.. which literally only had Eles in it, I’m not sure how much they’re affected by recent nerfs as I don’t play an ele myself but their groups of 10+ eles each time were pretty annoying to fight..
I know it’s ironie, just saying ele is way too OP compared to other classes so what you do in your videos is nothing special at all, you’re just roflstomping noobs with an OP class, I only watch them for the intro which is entertaining really.
Guardian is only “OP” by survivability, but ele literally has everything.. crazy heals, getaways, mobility, dps..

Been fighting you guys a bit between Lake & Briar, when an ele is able to kite around 4-5 guys without dying and still deal tons of damage while moving around that is a bit OP, ele’s are still awesome to play (and boring to fight because me as a guardian will never die vs an ele but I don’t have a chance of killing them either because I’m simply way too slow, especially if you keep me frozen 24/7 lol)
We killed you twice and then I just left because I didn’t want a long and boring fight again lol, love your guild though and the videos you put out!

All I can say – that was really enjoyable time to fight you guys. Was a pleasure and honor to stand against you and of cousre was the great time to struggle for good name of Surmia.
Unfortunatelly we’re looking for bigger support from our server, we decided that our real lives are way too important to sacrifice it for game. We need other guilds to cover what we achieved and vice versa. UW guys, you got enough numbers to get higher in tiers, just organize yourselves a little bit more! There are some awesome guilds who really got a clue about the WvW.

XT & Alliance joined Surmia expecting to steamroll all of their opponents and when it didn’t work out, they run off yet again, leaving Surmia bleeding & wounded as it never has before.. I got little respect for that and UW has no use for guilds like that.
I respect XT a lot, you forced our guilds to step it up, we were forced to play on a higher level (look what a crazy impact you had on SPGR for example, they made A LOT of progress in such a short time, I believe they’re ready for higher tiers, rest of UW is still a bit behind.. quite a bit) but I wouldn’t welcome you guys to our server, instead of running you should’ve embraced other guilds into your alliance, teach them a lesson or two.. RoS had plenty of potential but no one to step it up like UW has.
We had some people trying to ram down a wall yesterday, should’ve taken a screen of it lol.
If you take away stealth or nerf it the thief class becomes pretty much useless, if you know how to counter thiefs you won’t have any problems with them.
I personally play my guardian 99% of my time, I stomp everyone in a 1 on 1 fight as well, it’s just a matter of skill and knowing how to build your class.
I used to get frustrated by glass cannon thief that take you down in what seems 1 hit, but if you’re focused, you can see it coming.. and even on a bunker guardian you’re able to take out a glass cannon thief in 1 whirling wrath.
WvW is not made to play solo and people you come across 1on1 often are pugs or PvE’rs trying to do a jumping puzzle, not hard to stomp those.. other classes may be not good in 1 on 1 fights but they excel in team play (engineer is awesome for heals etc).

You forget to mention me, I’ve been wiping you and your zerg for days on ROS BL!! In the previous matchup I’m not going to lie I was focused on killing you (when I wasn’t commanding myself) and this one time I did, your entire zerg retreated from Cliffside. :P
That’s how I recognized you, from pictures you’ve posted here (same armor, looks etc) and fighting you ingame. :P
one of the best pictures in my GW2 career – whole zerg running back from bay to camp just to sit on machines and def there, not even trying to face us in fair fight outside. Unfortunatelly for you we managed to cut 20 guys from your tail and it was enough to wipe UW inside camp + 999 balistas, 999 carts and even catapults! ^^
Still it was pretty intensive fight, for sure I’ve never fought for supply camp so long before
For leading such an awesome organised group you don’t have much tactical insight tbh lol. If we were dropping that supply camp it would be very hard to strike back, we had it sieged up and it was our only foothold in your border, we knew you were going to go straight for our siege as soon as we breached (and it did happen), that’s why everyone went back there. I still love XT though, been very fun (sometimes frustrating when you’re running with a pug zerg, you know you almost got no chance).
With the numbers you had (equal to us tbh), it would have been impossible to siege up the camp again, if we dropped Greenvale you’d just wipe us inside Bay and we’d be done with.

Tbh, I’m pretty much the only commander on RoS BL most of the time (together with a friend who’s a commander as well), unless we have an event going on your borders, this is not even a lie. I’ve been commanding on your border since reset this week, been there everyday.
You were lucky with Garrison, I was a mesmer hiding inside your Bay the same moment you took it (back when it had a waypoint remember?) but due to XT having very large numbers defending your homeborders we pulled back for a bit waiting for them to leave and then ninja cap Bay, we were preparing this the very moment you rushed our Garrison with golems, was a good laugh though but we were off guard. :P
It’s pretty hard to team up on one server, I personally mostly command on RoS BL because I find you more of a threat than DE is.
Well done, you did have height advantage there (XT/zerg couldn’t rush in as one) but still nicely played.
Fact is still that this is caused by broken game mechanics, I do know how frustrating it is though but as someone else said.. culling is also very frustrating to deal with. When XT uses VEIL they take another couple of seconds to load back up, when a “bomb” like that explodes right into your face, it’s very hard to counter, so I would consider that lame as well, it’s broken game mechanics and we do the exact same things as they do.
I’ll bring it up in my guild though.
It’s the “best” hiding spot, it’s not always being checked, I died there because I was hiding and I stayed dead there because it’s fairly hidden and easier for someone else to res me up.
Our guild has 350~ active members (before any zerg comments inc, they do not play WvW at the same time :P), we usually got the same core of people doing events and sitting on teamspeak, back to point though.. it’s impossible to check who it was. I also think this is a broken game mechanic, we forbid our players to use these but we obviously aren’t going to kick people out of our guild, ROS & DE can (and) do the exact same things, I know how frustrating it is and I hope Anet brings a fix for this soon.. but there is no point in making any drama over this, it’s obviously a cheap bug, too large scale for Anet to ban for.
I was on my low lvl mesmer a few days ago also dead near watergate, but I had help from inside, not outside, also had a few of DEX camping my corpse, so sitting there dead doesn’t always mean people expect a res from outside.
It’s use of game mechanics (exploit: we do not encourage that on UW, but it happens..) and I don’t think a lot can be done about it, it’s lame but it will not get anyone banned.
To ROS, been commanding on your map for 5h straight from 10am until 3pm (female guardian black dye with twilight, you may recognize :P), had a good run there and plenty of awesome fights, kudos to everyone there & XT, always fun to play agains’t XT.. they are seriously the backbone of your entire realm lol.
It’s a much more even matchup this week. Way more fun.
not sure if you still have that opinion, I personally as UW player dont really have alot of fun…
UW has a really strange WvW population and its really hard to say what we are capable of -.- I hope we will stabilize abit to see how good we do when we face opponents that are on the same level as we are…
Agree entirely, if we had the same amount of people vs slightly harder opponents.. our previous matchups vs Fort Ranik have been a pain in the * because we were outnumbered any time of the day, sometimes fighting 20 vs 60.. and now that we are facing weaker servers we manage to get queues on all borders and even EB. :/
About the matchup.. I know ROF has potential to do something back to us but it seems a lot of you guys have given up, BT is non excisting, most of the easy points are found on their borders since they have nobody defending, awkward for a server that was high tier only a month ago.. completely dead now.

Buying a commander badge is fine. I like the thought that if I got it into my head I could save 100g and have the blue dot and I didn’t have to have a huge guild or huge time-sink or whatever other word for “grind” you want to use. (And yes, I actively WvW.)
A rather simple fix would be to allow players to turn on/off individual Commander badges for their client (as well as letting the Commander do so for broadcast). You love Commander A, keep their badge on. Commander B couldn’t lead their way out of a paper sack? Turn em off.
Or you could just mouse over them on the map and ignore the useless ones. Just like now.
See, here lays the problem. When I see a commander icon on WvW I see a person that loved WvW so much that wanted to spend either his time or money, or he was able to get his guild to help him get it. The end result was the same, he/she is trying to make a difference in a positive way.
But most people see it as “OMG THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!! HOW DARE HIM HAVE AN ICON AND I DONT! THE SYSTEM MUST BE BROKEN!!1!!!1!1!11”
I made this topic about a month ago, thing is, I’m not like “most” people, I am actually a very active commander in one of the best guilds my server has (which in the end is nothing impressive because we are from a lower tier server: Underworld). I know high tier servers with dedicated and organised guilds don’t care about a simple icon but in my server it’s very essential, we don’t have a lot of dedicated guilds, I count 5 on my server perhaps and the one I’m in is by far the largest (and we only manage to get 20+ people together on set dates aka events), so you can imagine how imporant the icon is to us. I think the current system is very broken because being able to drop 100G doesn’t make you a good leader, hell I can drop 2000g and purchase a tag for my entire guild if I wanted to lol.
I still feel commander is something that SHOULD be earned and the best thing (for both WvW and PvE) would be influence points and making the tag expire after a period of time and having to repurchase the icon, this means you need to run a large and active guild and actually prove you are able to be a leader.
I don’t want the acquisition of commander being easier, I want it to be different.. different in a way you need to prove you are a good leader, which imo is by purchasing with influence points, this way only large guilds will provide you with a commander, this would mean you are either leading a guild or have a part in leading it.

Not everyone is as fortunate to be on a big WvW server, in my server the commander icon is important because we only have a few dedicated WvW guilds, we also need a commander to lead the “zerg”.
I made a topic about this a while ago, in my opinion it should be earned throught influence points so only the big WvW guilds provide you with commanders, it should also expire after a month or so.
Not because I can’t afford the gold for it.. I am an active WvW commander, I just think the current system is broken, having 100G doesn’t make you a good leader.
I don’t like the suggested “archievement” system because it will be too easy and in the long run EVERYONE will be a commander, expiring commander icon purchased with influence points all the way for me.

I agree entirely, I just ran into a 20+ zerg without seeing them in the tunnel near Redlake, they weren’t stealthed, they just didn’t render on my screen.. until I got downed they started rendering, but it’s not just enemies, even your own teammates don’t render.. when we were taking over a keep a few days ago our golems didn’t render..
I love anet trying to fix it but the current system is broken.
It’s a huge update guys, be patient, everyone is still downloading.
I would recommend Anet to not do it during peak hours next time though, my speed drops from 2mb/s to 0.01kb’s the entire time.
The patch wont be 13gb, GW2 updates usually have the large files upfront and the smaller ones last.
On a sidenote; anet you did save my kitten in WvW though, we were about to lose one of our keeps.
Seems the party is in FS border so far tonight. Huge numbers from both FR and UW. Enjoyed trying to put up defences against both sides. I would have to question the tactical thinking of UW though. They are extremely tight with FR for second but they seem to be avoiding FR altogether, you would think you should be targetting FR to reduce their points tick and make a gap. I see some blue on UW map but not a hint of red on FR map.
As someone who is somewhat involved in “tactical decisions” I can tell you the sole reason, for what you are telling here, is FS and FR fighting all of their battles on our border the entire week lol.
Since reset we have been almost forced to stick to defending, although I noticed FS either became lazy or lost a lot of their people.. you guys had CRAZY numbers almost the entire week, but the last 2 days I hardly spot a big FS zerg anymore.. the fight is somewhat even now, not like the first few days where we were continiously outnumbered and dominated 20vs100 lol.
I kinda had to laugh with the comment saying UW outnumbers FS all the time, whatever makes you sleep at night tho. :P We lack the numbers.. if you really do play WvW a lot you notice we only have 1 big WvW guild.. ÄÄ. Where I can name multiple guilds from FS.. BloS, lion, XxX (moved to another server I heard), GUM, list goes on and on..
I didn’t give exact numbers obviously, I’m not sitting there counting sheep. Can we talk about my suggestion and not the numbers I’ve given? In a balanced game you shouldn’t be able to be completely overrun. I’m pretty sure we are fighting atleast x2 the people we currently have, these kind of situations shouldn’t be happening in a balanced game.
I know this is not the problem of one world, I know a lot of worlds are facing the same problem.
This is what A-net has designed for us. They aren’t really interested in what we think…and since they can’t fix the culling issue for 50 people, there is no chance in a real RvR taking place (DAoC style). Until they make a real persistent 3 sided fight, each tier will have 1 server that totally dominates, and the other 2 to deal with attrition.
Paid server transfers come to late to an already broken system.
I agree entirely, also by announcing this beforehand gives people the possibility to hop once more for free and I’m pretty sure a lot will do so lol.
The current system is broken imo, but it can be fixed~ it’s still a young game and Anet has done a great job with GW1, they have a lot of credit with me. I just feel 20 vs 100 situations (as is going on right now) shouldn’t happen in a balanced game.
If your team is losing ground while there is a queue in the borderland/battleground that are you in then it means your server is getting outplayed, not outnumbered o.O
Outmanned is enemies in the general area, not in the whole map.
Well, if you believe 20 vs 100 is being outplayed, I think we might have a different definition of being outnumbered lol.
I think it is a fair suggestion to add more balance in that matter, we are often outnumbered in our own borderlands (don’t worry, we aren’t doing great on other borderlands either with the sole reason of us lacking people).

It’s disheartening to be outnumbered week after week after reset (which for a huge part already decides the outcome of the week).. this is because my server is a low populated server and more and more people keep leaving every week.. and soon hopping will cost you, I expect a lot more people to leave before it happens.. enough whining though, I had a suggestion to deal with being outnumbered, we all know the buff isn’t going to help you at all, it gives you more exp, more karma and magic find, nothing that actually helps you.
My suggestion would be.. if your server has ~50 players in your own borderlands, allow for the enemy to have that amount of players on your borders.. I know this would be hard, because in a (almost impossible situation) you could all leave your border and not allow the enemy to cap anything at all there. Limits should be set of course.
But right now, 1h after reset, we have a queue on our own borders and our border completely turned green (WE ARE RED >_>), we play 20 vs 100 or something, it’s very disheartening and it destroys WvW on our world, I love WvW so much but week after week we have to put up with the same crap, it’s not even funny, it’s not balanced..
I mean.. the only way to enjoy WvW for me is to hop more populated server~ but I’m not like that, sadly enough a lot of people are though.
I know this will be hard to understand for people that play on a high ranked/populated server and this topic will probably fade away unnoticed by Anet. :/
I just think 20 vs 50+ situations shouldn’t be able to happen.
