Guild Wars 2 is amazing :) Stop complaining.

Guild Wars 2 is not that amazing Stop praising .

It used to be amazing. Then Living Story happened. And no matter how loud and constructive we complained, we were just ignored all the time. We are not destroying the image of the game. We cant destroy something which already has destroyed itself. We are merely warning all new players what they will possibly face.

The Trailer was good yes. But normally the content cant reach to the quality of the trailer. So dont put your expetations too high, could be something real good or they simply rewrite the definition of “abysmal”.

The Currency Exchange will be offering incremental purchase options with a new build that should go out quite soon. So no worries about purchasing in “bundles,” you can purchase as you desire using the “Custom” option.

And what does soon mean? 1 week? 1 month? Or rather 1 year?
You know, they say that the new airport of Berlin will be opened “soon” . They have been using the word “soon” since more than 2 years.

since she is allowed to say it, it means that feature is already complete and just waiting on patch cycling. give it 1-3 patches.

shes being really specific here, you need to read between the lines.

Specific looks different actually. Specific would be something like: In the next month or in the course of the next 2 weeks. Soon could be anytime, we could wait until GW9 is out until they change it.

Gems : No Discount

An interesting thing – my local Target doesn’t carry the gem cards anymore, and my husband was told at the local Gamestop that they were told the gem card system is changing “soon” and they don’t carry them anymore either.

I wonder if there is a new system if something like a bulk discount would be included? That would be neat.

New system: You have to link your creditcard directly to your GW2 account to make things “easier” for you.
And I think the discount will start from 4000 gems upward.

btw, are there any girls from Sweden in game?

They might be able to help you.

There are boys from Sweden – at least one (me). The Swedish support (also me) says do a malware check.

Off topic: Is that sad guy still around asking for girls?

Probably, a creep never will stop lurking around. If not here then on another game.
And if you dont believe us then contact support. They will be happy to answer your question.

You can still actually add content that makes sense and adds to the lifespan of the game, and still be different from other MMO’s.

What does it take for them see that working ONLY on LS is just bull. Sure LS is very nice, it’s just not good enough to spent all your resources on and only make LS content. Make less LS content(still make it, but just dont focus 100% on it), and make more other content.

Profit, thats the reason why they dont.

[Suggestion] Consequences for choices

Schwarzseher.9873

Its my belief that we will eventually have games like this. Where every players actions and decisions ACTUALLY makes an impact on the “world”, large or small. Two of the main problems would be in creating such a game that could support it, which is by far the hardest, and in people letting go of their hardwired belief that they should be allowed access to everything and anything that every other player has or had access to. It would be a TRUE Living World.

Personally I would love a game like that…

But make no mistake – Guild Wars 2 will never be that game.

Though from my understanding the OP is suggesting that decisions made don’t actually make a difference because they will always end up at the same conclusion. Which means that there is only an illusion of choice… which is not a choice at all. I wouldn’t enjoy that as much.

They actually should do make a difference, the losing side from the clash between Caudecus and the queen will get some disadvantages like they are not allowed to buy/sell things in Divinitys Reach and getting randomly attacked by (NPC) followers of the other side from time to time.
And about the other example: your reputation will form your future path. Depending on how you decided people will make remarks and you will get different missions depending on how high/low your reputation is.

1 of the things I really miss in the game are decisions with visible consequences. I often really feel like the game wants to press me into a role I dont really fit in. There is only 1 way which leads to the goal and there should be more.
Example: Just imagine Caudecus coups queen Jennah and takes the throne. We as players either have support him (Tyranny) establishing his rulership or help the queen retrieve the throne (Justice). Both choices got their benefits like people who chose the tyranny gets more gold rewards and other personal advantages while those who chose justice will receive help from most of the NPCs like hidden paths, more dungeon paths and a discount on all vendors. Also people from both fractions can fight against each other for the control of territories while each territory under control grants a specific boon. And if people dislike both sides they can join the 3. fraction: Neutral/Mercenarys. You will get no disadvantages/advantages from this side but you can take assignments for money, tokens and other items for both sides.

Another example: During a mission you captured 1 of the white mantle “terrorists” .
Now you have the choice: Try to convince him with bare words, play good cop bad cop or simply punch the information out of him. Every choice leads to the goal but have different personal impacts.
If you convinced him with your words he will help you, also your reputation among the people goes up. They are more likely to tell you things that they actually wanted to keep secret. With a high reputation they start to trust you.
Play good cop bad cop and you wont lose/gain reputation but it will eventually lead to your goal.
Torture/Punch the answers out of him and he will tell you everything but wont help you further, you have to do it without his help. Fastest method but you will lose reputation. People will mistrust you and trying to avoid talking to you.

Who told you this?

No. Anet never announced anything of the sort. They are barely even capable of NOT kittening the game up as it is, let alone they’d be capable of producing an actual expansion! The developer that managed to produce Factions and Nightfall in under two years is long gone, get over it.

get over what? lol look http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Lon-ami/First_expansion_theorycrafting:_Jormag,_Tengu_and_Far_Shiverpeaks

IF there is ever a first expansion, I’d guess it would focus on the Maguuma Jungle and Mordremoth. I still have a hard time believing they can fit Mordy into the living world. Not in 4 episodes.

But don’t get your hopes up, Anet have said many times they do not like the idea of actually releasing a substantial amount of content. Apparently 350 devs can barely manage 2 hours worth of content per month, for four months, before being so tired they need a 2,5 month break.

i dont understand this mentality….it makes no sense. sooo basically expand on a single living story and thats it?? with minimal changes and additions to the game? soooo i paid for a mediocre interactive storytelling game….so basically a bad single player game….BUT with mmo content…great!!

Did you got the game for a cheap price at least?
“You know what company I mean” never announced an expansion and probably never will. The living story is obviously more lucrative than an ordinary expansion and/or causes less work.

soooo the game stays….sorta dead and they expand on PVP tournies (i saw the 50K grand price)…..they dont expand on the ACTUAL pvp since its been the exact same way since launch, but they want to make it competitive? soooo is this a wanabe MOBA now? mannn i honestly have no idea what these people think they r doing, i have no idea at all!!

if it helps the company in any way, actual psychological studies show that the more people that are grouped together, the less creative the ideas will be, its better to create things on ur own in ur own head, THEN present them. also start firing some staff members, ur probably way overstaffed from what i heard. when the situation gets tough, THATS when the hunger kicks in and the creativity sparks.

Edits: no i bought it for the full price, sadly, and yes i highly regret it. 60 bucks is a big chunk of cash when you got bills to pay.

You mean its actually opposite how Skritts are behaving? The more Skritts are together the more intelligent/creative they become.
Maybe “You know what company I mean” should send the most important workers home so they can work from there. 350 devs sounds like a number thats a little bit too big.

I’m pretty sure it’s not my computer. It’s only a few years old.

“You know what company I mean” pretty sure wont make advertisement for anything exept their won gemshop. If I were you I would consider installing a real browser instead of that deathtrap called IE. Also get a anti mal/adware program and make a complete security sweep, your account data could be compromised too.

Yes but we are waiting for more than 2 years for guild halls in a game named “Guild Wars”. I think we have to wait another 2 years before “You know what company I mean” brings them into this game.

I guess a Tyrian game-year must be 4380 days then. I wonder if they divide that up into 144 months?

The underlying sentiment remains. I’d like to see some progress. Lion’s Arch was the central social hub. With LA gone, and the Megaserver in charge of the universe, I have felt like a stranger in a strange land.

There is progress, Skritts took over the black market and soon will rule the underworld of LA. Prepare yourself to see people getting murdered by a bunch of Skritt while the leader of the group says: “Luigi, you dont kitten around with the Skritt family”

From ruins we prosper, maybe they understood it wrong this time?
But also if 1 real life year means 12 years ingame, wouldnt already over 24 years passed since release? And we know people in Tyria barely gets older than 60. So if another 2 years are passing our characters wont survive it (assuming they were 18 when their jorney started).

If we are finished dealing with the dragons maybe we still have to wipe out the 3 large centaur tribes that are attacking us, enslave the quaggans, cleanse Elona of the undead, slaughter the flame legion, burn the last remnants of the white mantle and alot more.
We wont run out of work for at least the next 10 years.

Its nice but way too rare. Currently the black one sells for 800g in the AH and even for that price there are less than 3 on stock. Its 1 of the nicer new items but most people are not able to enjoy it. So pls either increase the drop rate or give us tokens for halloween activities we can exchange for these things. My fingers are already hurting from opening those ToT bags.

Gee, you can easily get ~200 ToT bags in an hour or so. And bags have up to 50 Candy Corn in them. It takes little time to get a stack. It seems, to me, anyway, that the Devs were very generous this year in enabling a pretty darn easy way to get rewards.

But, that’s just my opinion, a mere casual. /shrug

How are you able to get 200 bags without the rat farm thing? Im doing the Lab circle farm and get roughly about 120 bags per hour if Im lucky.
