Charr mature at the same rate as humans. Humans live ~80-100 on average, so charr is likely the same but less common due to militaristic lifestyle.

Not in Tyria, here humans rarely become older than 50 years.

Finally after more than 2 years PvE players who doesnt want to play WvW wont have to do it in order to complete the map.

What do you expect from a recycled event? Only difference is that its even worse with the laggs and the same problems of the last event and different rewards (if you get any at all).

5 Matches is absurd, they don’t even ask for that many as part of a regular pvp daily. If you’re unlucky you play for hours without winning 5 matches, depending on who your team mates are and your opposition is.

To add more fun, you can be tossed into already losing team. Also 4v5 games is pretty common situation.

4 v5 pfff, thats the lesser problem. Normally its 2 and 2 leechers vs 5 active players. And 5 wins to get daily reward while you get nothing for playing it.

A very friendly term to put it. Its almost complete garbage, even worse than BF4 after release. And on top of that you need to win 10 times in a row to get any reward.
Its really hard to enjoy this with those laggs, netcode issues and that almost only luck based game mechanics.

Its not a new festival, its just a recycled old one with new rewards and the same old kittenty mechanics to obtain the stuff.
There is still the same problem with leechers and feeders and on top of that the losing team gets nothing which makes it almost impossible for many players to receive any rewards.
Great job Anet, you made another good example how a bad festival is created.

Black Desert of course .. finally again a real “grinder” where quests give no exp and
of course with open PvP, that always works so well in the west.

And then EQNext .. the only game i have some decent interest in .. but i think there is
also so much experimenting in it that nobody can really say how that will work out
when it is opened to the masses.

At least I have more customization options for my character in Black Desert.

Another good competetor would be Star Citizen.

Exept disappointment and unecessary updates to things which were working perfectly fine Im not expecting anything from them. Sorry but 2 Seasons of LS have left open wounds on my love for GW2.
Either its another 2-4h content update or something which looks like EA has done it in 3 days.

Seriously dont hype yourself on this game anymore, it wont pay off.

Stock trading would kill this game. There would be a small minority making alot of gold with this and a big majority who wont be ble to afford even the most trivial things.

The sPVP community is more toxic than in CoD or LoL. Literally everytime when you miss 1 of your skills there are at least 2 teammates yelling and flaming you how “noob” (I will not quote what they really said) you are. And itshard to win any game if 90% of your team are killkitten thiefs who wont capture a single objective.

Another big problem is that its extremly hard for many players to get into sPVP because they are getting steamrolled by the Pros. You have to run a specific build on your character to even have a chance to win a 1 vs 1. Also there are autobalance issues. Im experiencing it almost every game that ,if your are behind the enemy team, your teammates will either start afk or leaving the game which leaves you with 3 or more people lacking on your team.

sPVP also have barely improved since the release of GW2. It even got worse with those laggs in sPVP and the following command delays. Its not fun when your skill activates 1 second after you pushed the button.

And since release there havent been any new gamemodes in sPVP. After more than 2 years (!) we are still having the same 3 (rather 2) gamemodes: TDM, Conquest and a modification of Conquest with some capture the flag elements.
In GW1 we had much more gamemodes, TDM, Conquest (Alliance Battles), Some kind of Capture the Flag (Jadequarry), Elimination and Rush (Forrest Fort), Heroes Ascend and Guild vs Guild(we dont have such a thing in a game called Guild Wars 2).
With those limited choices in GW2 its even more monotone than the MP of CoD. In CoD you are also running in a circle trying to kill everything in front of you but at least you have some fancy guns.

The cutscenes were mostly well done exept some flaws with the mimic of Wynne. The compositor of the music and the voice actors did a really good job.
On the other hand we had Trahaerne ruining almost everything by that rather soulless fire command and the his order to sacrifice the fleet.

The skins looks like someone took the wrapping paper and leftovers of some fast food restaurants and tried to form weapons with them. They missed another opportunity to make good looking weapon skins.

Trahaerne should be put on a military trial for high treason. Ordering the airfleet to fly on such a low altitude so they can get shot down by the enemy AA and getting boarded by enemy assault teams, this should bring him at least the death sentence.

Same here, obviously they cut the budget for the download servers.

Im not so sure about it. We basically gave him an epileptic seizure with those peashooters we fired on him and after all they arent deadly mostly.

Pretty much this. But the cake is, was and will be a lie. The only thing we are getting are the dried crumbles which have a very strange color.

And even as 1 of those who are harshly criticizing Anet and its course there are indeed a few things they did right.
A colorful world full of adventures and joy as a good base when GW2 got released (even tough they destroyed much of it again) and they way how they created this friendly and open minded community (or lets say mostly friendly and open minded).

A proper expansion and some real guns which do a proper amount of dmg, unlike those peashooters we have now.

Pre Patch it was possible to do all 5 dailies for the daily achievment with a low level character on a map of your choice. You could freely roam around an d do what was right on your mind.
Now you are getting forced to do things which probably cant be done with a low level character AND where you dont have any choice. They are literally trying to press you into gamemodes or parts of the game which you maybe dont like at all like fractals. For PVP players the daily patch was great but its not for the PVE players.

That’s what I was missing lol. I didn’t notice what you were saying about the low level player because I was on a 80. But about the different game modes like having to do fractals, Isn’t it you only have to do three dailies to get the award? Couldn’t players choose to do the ones like crafting and vistas?

Crafting isnt every day unfortunaly. On some days you have to kill worldbosses which are clearly not for your lvl 15 character like jormags claw or the vista is in an area 30 lvl above your character.

Keep living in your tiny world inside your mind. The game is doing fine, the devs actively take feedback from the players, and hundreds of thousands of people log into this game every day. You just refuse to see all that because it makes you feel good to speak out against perceived injustice.

Oh really, its doing fine? Then tell me why those gamebreaking bugs which already existed at release are still there? Like the heartquest next to Brias house in Ironmarches. The NPCs needed to complete the quest are still completely bugged. They do respawn but on top of the trees where nobody can reach them. Taking feedback my kitten .

Yep those who leave the game and point out in a constructive way why they left will still be a laughingstock for the most players. Dont expect to be treated differetly when you reach the point where the game is just unbearable to play for you.
And with this attitude dont expect for any improvements in the future.

And thats one reason why Anet takes away all nice things we love.
Seriously the RP community of GW2 was and still is (or whatever is left of them after the Megaserver disaster) one of the most unique and creative parts of the game. Its also one of the few things left that distinguish us from other MMORPGs. People who try to merge into the world and turning it something which is alive.

You couldn’t play a bad guy in Guild Wars 1 either, which so many people compare favorably to this game. It’s not about being adult or a kid. It’s a style of storytelling called heroic fantasy.

But the story telling style was more dirtier, it had more grey shades. Here we have a clear black and white sheme.

Been playing GW since 2006. GW Factions was my first MMO ever.

I’ve stuck with GW because of the great customer service, constant communication with the players, and how they change things based on player feedback. Of course we can’t expect to get everything we ask for but Anet has made compromises on many occasions, add new features requested, improve drop rates on some things, etc.

Edit: And they have a great bunch of people working for them.

This only applies for GW1. In GW2 its the opposite for almost everything. 0 communication with the players, feedback gets mostly ignored. Alot of broken promises, compromises only after the playerbase were shouting at them for weeks, useless new features we never asked for and probably wouldnt have asked for and the nerf for loot.
And the bunch of great people you have been talking about is mostly gone and have been replaced with underpaid contractors.

Best MMO of 2014 is, hands down, Warlords of Draenor. Over 4 million players returning to the game made the choice and brought the award.

And masses of them already left again because they are bored after 2 weeks or flame the forums about the worst expansion ever.

Thanks to the Megaservers you only choose for which imaginery world you will fight in WvW. Else everything has become a colorless mess. No matter which language you speak you will see at least 6 other different languages in Mapchat.

When I started playing today it says 3/4 daily completioner for the monthly achievement. But when I finished my 3 dailies it still says the same. It has been going on for 2 days in a row that my daily completioner wont count on my monthly.
