This is going on since the release of the LS. They dont want to give us a choice because they either think we are way too stupid for this and/or its simply more efficient. More choices means more programing. And more programing means more costs for them. GW2 is a game now in which profit means more than anything to the publisher. And if they have to dumb the game down to achieve the maximum profit they will do so without second thought.

Well considering they have a new Lineage coming out my bet is they’ll hedge their bet on that for China and push Anet to win back NA/EU. Of course that’s a logical course of action and I’m not certain that’s been the path this last year. You know honestly the most amazing thing in all of this, GW2 had the most successful launch in gaming history and this will be the legacy they’re going to be left with if they don’t a miracle out of that studio in the next few months. To answer your question: You dont have fun, you spend RL money on useless things.

This is the “New Content” Anet is always praising in their posts. They are trying to put minimal efforts into this game for getting maximum profit. They are not planning for this game for the next 2-3 years, only for the next patch and the next batch of useless shop items. And if this means that they have to destroy what was working perfectly fine they will simply do this. The contractors surely wont stop them from doing that and those devs who truly love GW2 and its world are obviously the minority.
Start looking for a new game which is worth to be loved and played, this one is going faster down than Javelin Rocket on a armored target. And from its course in the past 12 months it wont change.

Anyway, two of the dailies your lowbie could do.

So if your lowbie did the vista, and the gathering, both of which he could do, he could then go into WvW and buy with badges pretty much anything to get the third daily, without PvPing at all.

In fact, I did today’s daily on a lowbie.

Your missing the point of the op there are people who have low level characters for instance the new players who dont have lvl 80 characters to run into those zones. Its not about the exp per se but the small daily pool for newbies in the pve environment they are now forced to go to pvp or wvw to try get their dailys

Lowbie characters get different dailies. I know this for a fact. I’m looking right now at a new account with a 41 level character as the max character. These are the dailies for PvE.

You have different dailies than me then.
The only things I could do on my lowbie are Ascalon Vista thing and the lumberer. The 3. PVE daily is Silverwastes Event completion and Fractals lvl 11-20. Eversything else is kittenty WvW and PVP, both gamemodes Im not playing and wont start doing it.
Pre Patch it was possible to get your daily by simply roaming around with your character. Now they are forcing you to play things which they want to be promoted.

The end of this game. Will it slowly decay like it does right now or will it say good by with an surprising “boom” to hype us for GW3?

We don’t know her reasoning yet for running off with the Egg, for all we know she’s doing it for a good reason.

AS to the slaughtering of the centaur, Caithe didn’t do anything wrong. As far as she knew the centaur attacked Faolain, the person she loved, and she acted in defense when they became hostile.

So no she shouldn’t be put on trial for anything.

Normally I hate those four legged abominations but in this case Im siding with them. They havent sone anything wrong. It was Faolain provoking them to attack her. Also Caithe should have known that their escort wasnt just there for their “protection”. They were a full killer squad.
And even when Caithe says that she simply followed Faolain and her orders its not a excuse for slaughtering other people.
She should be put on Trial, stripped off all her rights and executed in the most degrading way possible for high treason, murder of innocents, endangering her allies and conspiracy against whole Tyria. Stealing the egg just made the it more severe.
At this point the only reasonable options for us are either kill or capture her. Preferably with a unmanned asuran drone.

Coming next to the gemshop for only 700 Gems probably.

Unless this season’s last episode is 9 hours long and has some real epic stuff in there, this season is a waste of time. Honestly it feels like some kind of a half-baked filler.

Last episode is getting filled with a unfinished story, bugs, grind and a kittenload of not needed shop items. Epicness has gone lost long ago at Anet. Probably started when they hired the first underpaid contractors.
The most part of this season doesnt feel half baked. It feels completely raw, even rotten at certain points. Many things looked like they got rushed out in a hurry without thinking about them and before they were really finished. Like a “new” car which got already sold but misses the windshield, the engine, the tires and the wheel.

Less good content, more unecessary shop items like the new mail messenger. Even kitten games like Last Chaos or Runes of Magic are making things better than you do. At least we are getting a full fancy costume after hours of boring grind there. Here we get 1 part of 6.
The stealth mission is completely bullkitten. Normally in games stealth approaches are meant to be faster and more effective than the 08/15 Rambo charge. Here its the opposite. And even that carnage and slaughter isnt funny at all with those laggy servers, command delays and bugs.
And on top of that you managed to kitten up things that worked fine before the patch like selling in the AH.

Same happened to me. Simply forget that stealthpart and cut your way trough all the asuras. Its faster and more effective.

The playing part isnt the hard thing. Its the kittening bugs. Im In the Inquest lab and its bugging at the same spot for the 2. time now…..

Not at normal terms. However with the “help” of a crazy aszran scientist it would be possible. But its not going to look good for sure.

If you remember Razah from GW1 it would be cool to have something similar as playable race. Mysterious beings from the mists, able to imitate any lifeforms.

What are you talking about? A truck load of people have died in Gw2. Just last release we had 2 deaths.

As for skulls and body parts you the staff deathwish. Got 3 skulls right there with a spinal cord wrapped around for extra effect.

As a Old-Ascalonian human I simply want to reclaim Ascalon and Orr from the Charr and drive them into to hell.

As a modern human I would prefer to buy a biological WMD from the Inquest and effectively wipe out the whole Charr race.

However, there is another possibility we can turn the lives of the Charr into a living hell: Simply gain huge economical strength and force them into poverty and enslavement. And then treat them like the animals they are, erase all traces of the barbarism they call a culture and turn them into a slave race. Just like the Stonesummits did with the dredges.

The story of GW2 seems to be written by an 10 year old. When LA got destroyed I was like: pff who cares? In GW1 it was like: kitten! Those kitten charrs just nuked our whole country!
Whoever wrote the story for GW2 managed to turn it into some kind of bad written dull fairy tale. And even classical fairy tales are better than the story here, they have real villains at least.

Or we will finally get to kill those 2. We have been waiting long enough already to do this.

Er, no level 1-15 is much faster under the NPE. 20+ becomes normal from what I’ve read, if anything it was much slower under the old system. You got a point about crafting though. The issue this game had, was in fact retention – they’ve “addressed” this under the NPE. And you call adding 2 new maps not major content??. Isn’t that what people want?. We all know development can change at any time. Whilst quite a few things were omitted or not added. I highly doubt you can call it fraud.

They could have used their ressources to make a proper expansion with a new class and maybe access to another continent. In the same time we are stucked on 1 continent in GW2 we got 2 full expansions in GW1 with 4 classes and a kittenload of new maps. And back there the developer studio was much smaller than now.

2 New maps which can be played trough in under 1h are certainly no major content.

“Tyria” is an old Dwarvish word. It apparently translates into the common tongue as “Scarlet’s Junkyard”.

I fully understand that they are trying to show us that the world physically changes… that it’s not static. They want it to feel “alive”.

So change it again! Clean up the mess! Everything is being destroyed, but nothing is being cleaned up (much less rebuilt). We’ve lived almost half of the game’s existence amongst Scarlet’s rubble. It doesn’t feel like a “living world” when so much of it looks dead.

There’s tons and tons of raw materials free for the taking in Kessex Hills and Lion’s Arch to build some fantastic cities. Make the world feel like a place we’d fight to protect.

For those of you who point to “realism”, and say “give them time”, I say phooey on you! Was it realistic that Scarlet built all of those monstrous structures in almost no time at all? Without the backing of several cities worth of people that the good guys have? …in total secrecy?

There have been lots of changes to this game since the beginning. Many of those have been hugely controversial. But the beauty and realism of the artwork are amongst the most unanimously positive aspects of the game. Stop destroying the one characteristic that almost everyone agrees is done right.

The world is so beautiful. It killed me to see LA destroyed and Kessex Hills isn’t pretty anymore either… I’m very afraid that they’ll destroy the Grove too now. And it’s my favourite place in Tyria, together with Caledon Forest.

The biggest kittenmove they could do is to sell us invisible weapons. Your rogue wont use his beautiful double revolvers anymore but form a gun with his bare fingers to kill his enemy.

By the time we slaughtered Caithe and retrieved the egg it probably will be tainted by the dragons influcence. The only thing we can do then is to turn it into some kind of nuclear egg bomb against Modremorth.

People either ate them all or exterminated all horses because they were too similar to the centaurs. Or maybe Centaurs are the result of some abominable breeding experiments of horse and humans which led to the extinction of the normal horses?

Looking from the company view these 5 stages probably look like this.

Denial: Everything we are doing is perfectly fine. No the new update isnt bad written, too short and almost only contains grind and RNG. ALL The players loves us and we can go on like this for decades without destroying the game. The game wont need an proper expansion.

Anger: Why the hell are so many people angry about us?? We havent done anything wrong! Its all the faults of the players!

Bargaining: Try to look interested and ignore them. Manuals for this: Look into their direction, empty your mind (think of something else, like your feble paycheck as contractor), close your mouth and nod in intervals of 10 seconds.

Depression: Finally the kittenstorm is over now we can go on and milk this dead cow.

Acceptance: Ok we failed, but hey who cares. For every veteran who leaves we can simply lure in a new player who will replace him. No need for panic, just go on like this and try to pay even less to the workers to maximize the profit.

At least a own airship for your guild as your guildhall would be cool. And some more god of war epicness too. But instead we are part of a bad written story with no freedom of choice, obvious traps, a kittenload of RNG and we are not even going to fight that thing in a way we should. All we do is killing trashmobs and cleaning up behind other people.

Because Rytlock is the only good thing they can show right now. Everyone else either have been degraded to 3. class characters or to something like Trahaerne.

I have read the job ratings of their company. And almost everyone says that they are paying 30% less than the average salary in this branch. Also contractors (which are pretty numerous obviously) are only paid 11 dollars per hour.
