And just so you know, you’re incorrect. That isn’t why its so high. It’s because no one used it when it healed half as much over time, because both the passive and the “use” wasn’t enough healing. You’d be correct if the passive WAS the heal, but it isn’t. The heal is the on use, and instead of buffing the use to a good place like they should have done, the buffed the passive portion way too high so people would use it, and left the active being completely useless. If it healed for 200 Hps, but on use healed for 7k for instance, people would still use it. It’d slow down the rate that you lose health but still have an active worth using. Granted 7k would be too high for a 16’second cd, but you get the idea. They took an easy fix to make the heal attractive, now delusional people think its an interesting heal/design.
Actually i been using it when it was healing for 200/s and been doing fine. In fact i started to using it day 2 right after launch when i unlocked. And i know ppl that also been using it back then. Thats what u guys asking for is to change a complete gameplay of hs. We can as well delete signet and add another burst heal bc who care right?

I dont know if power necro is made with minions in mind..My life blast does about 3k in spvp (always crit btw, thx to trait) and my aa from dagger hits hard too. Also where that plenty of blocks comes from? I know olny 2 – shield stance and riposte, both cannot be used under cc. Also hs will stay here for good, don’t try fix something that inst broken, hs has little highter hp/s cause its not a burst heal.

As for surge vs hs, a hs won’t save ur butt while being bursted down compared to surge. If the fight last shorter than 30sec actually surge has highter hp/s than hs. For some reason i still see warriors using surge instead of hs and doing fine.
Healing signet is fine as it is now for passive. If u want to improve active i suggest to take a look at mesmer signet, and make our active reset signet cd’s.

Well for active we got adrenaline surge, mending, defiant stance, pick one if u dont like hs, does anyone force ya to pick it? Why u want to make something active that been a passive skill since launch? As for mesmer u also can say its not worth for them to active signet bc they have highter hp/s in passive than active mode.

So far warrior is the olny one class that has telegraphed attacks and that abilities getting nerfed.
While i agree that stronger abilities should have a telegraph, its time to add it to other classes as well otherwise were at disadvantage with the hurr hurr earthshakers, evis, final thrusts, selfrooting 3.5 sec hundren blades, killshot (lol seriously at ks+hb ones) as they are really easy to dodge and so on while other classes has insta cast abilities that can be used even when stunned.
Also the nerf was done without any compensation. Mace chain sux. Counterblow sux, pommel bash sux. A slow weapon without a real damage, gap closers or even a single cripple, skull crack was everything that was going for mace and with the latest patch that weapon got destroyed and over few weeks everyone will forget about it just like we forgot about existence of offhand axe.

Ppl forgot that rifle warrior is not needed in a zerk. So what if u will shoot down one guy when theres 40+ more waiting for the free bag out of u. I personally keep running to backlines to see that awesome 4k aa crits from axe and cleaning ppl in 2sec, and over that 2 seconds i actually have done much more than a rifle warrior. Do a favor for ur server and dont take spot for some lol sniping bc “i like big numbers” as u act like u got something..small in pants and trying to make it up for it by 20k killshot in some squishy guy
Rifle is a single target as it is mean for a boss fights in pve and dueling/roaming in pvp, but the thing is it doesnt work the way it meant to be. Why do i feel like a freekill using gs/rifle and why everytime ill get a underwater fight i feel like a op kitten with spear/harpoon? Answer is obvious.
^Honestly for the casttime it has, it should be a iWin button, automatically getting opponent to downed state no matter what. Its really kitten me off when i land it to see something like 7k crit or even worse..a 3k non crit
I always been using and experimenting with different weapon combos to make it work. So far the best results i had with mace/mace howered i prefer to pair it with gs for trait synergy and it doesnt work that good. Still waiting for a revamp (for both weps)
I guess from these comments I am the only one who likes the new mace? I don’t know about you guys but I feel like the new animation makes the mace feel even more powerful.
For me its look like a movie in slow motion, and it doesnt look powerful either. Powerful looking animation is arcing slide.

Water Spirit is probably one of the worse heals ive seen next to the new necro one. Just tested it out the icd is too long for the passive and the active barely scales with healing power + the fact that its 25 skill points = Useless

I took this trait, attacked the thief-bot in mists once and then just stood motionless in front of him with toughness/vitality gear and healing signet equipped. He killed himself when i had ~ 5k HP left.

And in wvw i can archieve 2,7k power.. 270/hit sounds pretty good on 50% uptime

Axe 1 WAS OP, and it was nerfed a while ago. Now most of the damage is on the last hit of the combo. If you miss that hit, you do awful DPS. Before it was consistently high throughout the entire chain.
I do not rebember anyone that was complains about axe aa before, but if u know any thread about axe 1 being op back then, link it. As far i know it was nerfed for no reason without any compensation.
That single nerf made axe a joke in general, aa and evi was everything that axe had, now it olny got evi. Cyclone axe and throw axe are a complete joke in current form, so does axe as ppl can facetank aa now.
Reason why ppl tend to run hammer is bc its the olny real viable weapon we got behind longbow. What else we have?
-A gs with weak auto, worse possible burst and 3.5 casttime that need secondary source to land it? Nty, im not going to be forced into a specific offhand/work around 1 skill to make it works bc devs been thinking its cool idea to put the whole damage in one skill that need hard cc to land.
-Sword? Flurry has no damage in power builds, at least if it was buffed i could see some pressure going from that weapon. 1 has similiar dps to axe counting bleeds but thats about it, gl getting someone under 50% hp with sword and even thena slow motion final thrust says hi
-Rifle? Everyone knows how bad it is, used olny some trolling in wvw.
-Mace? Skull crack getting nerfed, a kittene. AA is slow and weak, counterblow is clunky and block olny 1 hit no matter if ranged or not, pummel is used as a intterupt as it has no damage whatsoever. Also the mace as a whole has no cripple/gap closer..nothing
-And the last one is axe. No cc, no gap closer, just pure damage nerfed into ground with 0 and again 0 compensation not even a given reason as to why it was nerfed in first place. If thats the balance id say thx and bb to another game.. Oh well actually playing Vindictus and i have much more fun.

Going to give it a try in gs+rifle build. Still can’t decide between vigor on stances/signet mastery or reckless dodge (the last option i will be looking for as dodge will be procing confusion)
I’m wondering if this will negate damage from legendary defenders in WvW, They don’t just outright kill you, they just deal really, really high damage that 1 shots you. I’m wondering if I could pop this and run right into an enemy spawn. I know you already can with other things, but this will just give me one more thing to troll my opponents with. Pop this stance, run into their spawn, dance a bit, pop endure pain, rush out, swap to s/shield, run out and laugh at them.
Endure pain and shield stance working so that one will be working as well.. Too bad it keep teleport us back when we get too close :<
Enemy see green number when you pop this. Once again warr get easy telegraphed/easy to counter stuff.

Hmm mesmers..high uptime protection, lots of aegis, nearly perma vigor, invis, spammy Al, invuls, high damage, teleports, 446656845 free out of jail cards,15k base hp and 1k hp/3sec.. Yeah sounds balanced

Definitely core mission was my best experience in any game i have played, it is simply amazing. And i hope AN will learn something from it.
The sounds is the main thing that makes up climat, and gw simply lacking it.
3 weeks ago i had my first pre too – the lover from cof p1 chest.
Playtime; 3500 hours
The truth is warrior is the easyest class to pick up and play and the hardest class to do well with vs skilled opponents of other professions.
Saying “truth is” before an opinions does not make it true.
And in my opinion it is still easier to do well versus skilled opponents compared to mesmer(since those two are the only geared 80s I have to use for comparison). My reasoning is that warriors have high defence, great regen, great hp, and is great at removing conditions (lemongrass poultry + that one trait that reduces condition duration).
I picked dps guardian for the first time as i never played it before, made some build out of nothing, went to pvp and..i facerolled ppl
Mesmer? 0 effort, al does the whole job, all i have to do is making sure i won’t get hit which is easy..again facerolled ppl
Spirit ranger? Spirits up, autoattack ready? Set.. Go..naturally facerolled ppl
Every class is easy to play in this game and i don’t think that should be reason to bring some class down in the first place. We are the olny class with telegraphed attack with elementalist, rest just keep spam al, evades, insta cast abilities, stacking boons, doing high damage being tanky at same time (condi builds) and so and its not a problem? Earthshaker should be also reduced to 1/2 casttime with nerf for compensate.
And the main problem are not skills, but merciless hammer trait, and that should be nerfed in the first place if they want to separate damage from control/AN logic.
Gs is pretty fast weapon, #2 and #5 are attacking with light of speed, before ur enemy notice they will be dead.
Another one is rifle, maintly killshot, it takes 0.25 sec to fire off for 20k damage
We also have axe with high damage aa that takes olny 1 sec to finish the whole chain, and evi with insta cast 600 range teleport for some 15k crits.

Another average heal, or nerfing HS to make it an average heal so that warr isn’t healing more than every other class in the game by a long shot.

We’re not saying that HS should be removed, just that it should be lowered. If there is no middle ground between being OP and being broken, then the issue should be on how to improve the warrior overall.

But tell me- how do you expect us to “up our game” against heavy armor and 400 HPS? More than likely, the only method you’re going to present is that we should “watch out” for telegraphed animations, but the truth of the matter is that that is much more easily said than done, and when there are so many telegraphed animations, it eventually becomes practically impossible to avoid all of them.

I got sefl buffed 4.2K ap and 70% crit damage/60% crit chance and my F1 hammer skill hit between 3K to 5.5k ish damage.(Maybe 6k on up level.) I don’t use UF.
I don’t use discipline trait so add the 10% from Burst Mastery and 30% more crit damage from the traits point and you should get close to 7k.
The issue with hammer is that everything stack and the worst is UF bonus applying before the hammer hit.
Was a bit wrong on crit dmg, but here it is, a complete build – olny 2 pieces are knight withmelandru runes, rest zerk fully ascended. UF, Merciless, Burst, DotE +25 bloodlust stack and guard wvw bonuses (total +350 power and 250 vit which count to food %) on without might from signet and theres no way i will ever reach the numbers of what he said.
Its ok if he wanted to sound cool, but getting a numbers out of hat is simply lame. If he want to prove me its possible, no problem. Im actually against his noob server in wvw so im waiting for that “7k” crit from es, 4k autos and so on.
Some weapons superior in PvE, others in 1vs1 others in WvW

Hammer nerfs are more than deserved, my friend has 3.2k armor and crits 4k with hammer autoattack, 7k backbreakers, 6k staggering blows and 7k earthshakers. And keeps 5 people CCed down.
Yea…balanced? Besides they are only nerfing the damage on 2 skills of the hammer, the CC ones. So that even makes perfect sense.
O interesing. As a guy with 98 crit damage, 2600 power my eartshaker olny hits 3-4k, maybe 6,5 at best in upscaled. Also keeps 5 ppl cced down? Care to explain the secret?
