Rares give a range of 0-3 ectoplasms.
Exotics give a range of 0-5 ectoplasms.I have salvaged a lot of exotics and I’ve never seen more than 3 ecto from a salvage. Have you?
I have. I mostly receive an average of 3 more than any other.
What’s a dungeon recipe sheet?

^My thread.
Crafting recipes that drop in dungeons.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Final-Rest-Current-Theories/page/8#post1440670
I really can’t give out any hints or information, especially since anything I say is going to be intensely analyzed. So I’m going to play it safe and not comment on the size of the boss, the chest, or the rarity of the boss. I will confirm that I looked in the game data and traced the item to its loot table to the chest that uses the loot table to the event that spawns the chest to make sure everything is set up. I can also confirm that it has a very low drop rate, so running the event 5 times or 10 times proves nothing.
Has to come from event, a boss and then chest.
My theory it probably has the rarity of a dungeon recipe sheet, so many people run dungeons yet very few actually knows what a dungeon recipe sheet is.
The salvaging rate is high for rares lvl68+ and exotics lvl70+? is because the amount of ectos given.
Rares give a range of 0-3 ectoplasms.
Exotics give a range of 0-5 ectoplasms.
Now if they all spread out based on the assumed even amount:
(based on BLSK)
Rares – 0 @ 25%, 1 @ 25%, 2 @ 25%, 3 @ 25%. This would provides a 75% chance of receiving an ectoplasm if in favor of the 50% salvaging rate.
Exotics – 0 @ 16.6%, 1 @ 16.6%, 2 @ 16.6%, 3 @ 16.6%, 4 @ 16.6%, 5 @ 16.6%. This would provide an approximate 83% chance of receiving an ectoplasm if in favor of the 50% salvaging rate.
At the end, it result in RNG as many people will result in 0 ectoplasm in return. At the same time you or I would receive many ectoplasms in return.

Glob of Ectoplasm”

By the way, what you just said right now is being analyzed.
I know legendaries are only for prestige, but by now, I don’t think 1 is enough to be considered truly ‘legendary’ anymore. If just for renown, how many legendaries do you plan on making? I’m leaning towards making another one but the grind for those mats and precursor is so tedious I dunno if I have the patience for it.
I plan to make 1. After that time, I will decide if the time to make it was worth it.
The “Chance of rarer materials” on a Mystic/Master’s kit is 25% and a Black Lion Kit is 50%, I know the droprate is higher than that. Otherwise me and several other people have been absurdly lucky (which I highly doubt is the case).
The “Chance of recovering upgrades” on a Mystic/Master’s kit is 80% and a Black Lion Kit is 100%, while this is closer in line, I know for a fact (as I have used maybe 10+ stacks of Black Lion Kits now) that the droprate for Ecto’s using a BLKit is not 100%.
Ectoplasm is in fact a rare material with the designated exotic colour font and the fact that it is in the collectible material section in the bank. (similar rare materials include lodestones.)
It is not an upgrade since it is not: a rune, a sigil, or an infusion.
By your salvagings, it can confirm that it is not an upgrade.
I think a better example is why does it cost 40 silver to change your crafting professions when you want to make something but it only cost 3 silver to respec your entire character build.
For those of you that like to throw “other games” in there, respeccing your character is very expensive in most games. Let’s just bring that over here as well as a gold sink.
Sorry, I agree with the OP. I spent the time and money to level the craft, I shouldn’t pay every time I want to use a crafting class that isn’t one of the two I have open at the time.
Starting a new craft is free
Starting traits require manuals, which costs gold.
Compensation for no fee craft, medium fee.
Compensation for setting traits, minor fee.
The term re-speccing can range anything between traits, equipement and skills.
The game did tell you that you can only keep 2 professions at a time, so really the one you abandoned should really be reset back to 0. Anet decided to let you keep it, for a price. Nothing wrong with that.
People have gotten to Fractal 80 using rangers revive, revive orbs and many shields skills. But yes, infuseable amulets will give more resistance to possibly up to maybe 60-70
You will have to find out in a week or so. No one has enough laurels to get the ascended amulets yet.
Maybe under the bag slots or near the accessory equipment is where it should be located if they implement it.
1. They stated they will be adding it.
2. a I can see some complications changing systems.
d Guild Missions are coming out in the update.
b, e I disagree, achievements are supposed to be optional.
3. I agree some more stuff can added.
4. People were fine without it in GW1, probably not add it.
5. Dueling is on the to-do list long ago.
6. They stated no mounts ever.
7. Yes there is a lot of animations that needs to be fixed, we just have to report it.
8. Unnecessary pressure to people who want to it, annoying for people who don’t want to do achievements.
1. Story arcs is about progression, the one-time events should be taken slowly so everyone can be caught up. Releasing it all at once could work, but probably too many factors involving environment changes. Everyone would be at different stages and instances would heavily be needed.
There are emails telling you where to go. There’s event NPCs with unique icons in mini-maps in every city telling you where to go.
Then your sigil wasn’t transmuted properly, from your situation, the item doesn’t say “of Agony.” Check with support.
It looks like your sigil wasn’t added correctly to your stats. Have you tried re-equiping it?
My goals are to find every single possible craft discovery on every discipline known. Too bad you don’t completely know if you found everything or not.
Server: Dragonbrand
Location: Archen Foreland to Momoztli Grounds, Bloodtide Coast
Event Relations: Escort the Lionguard caravan to Broken Beacon, Stop the pirates from stealing treasure, Kill Covington’s quartermaster
Issue: As stated, there would be large amount of healing turrets in the vicinity of enemy ghost encounters at each encounter in the events.
Server: Dragonbrand
Location: Compass Plaza, Cursed Shore
Event: Collect scrap metal to help Ballistician Dexa build her siege weapon
Issue: Whenever I try to give give the bundle of scrap metal to Dexa, she doesn’t seem to want it.; leaving men and a large amount of players dropping the bundles near her. This, of course results into automatic event failure.
Still no answer for a official spoke-person.
I hope they at least try to change things in this upcoming patch on 28 and do some of the changes required for the frustration to go.I got an official answer.
A rude one.
Honestly, you were more rude than John Smith himself. You were throwing statements with aggression that they already know about.
You didn’t consider the drawbacks of simple fixes or if you didn’t look at the bigger picture. They said they were going to take a look at it. If you didn’t read the 6 months upcoming updates they were willing to provide, then I suggest you take a look it.
Legendaries and “cool” looking items were supposed to be a long term goal. Long term goals meaning a long time.
@Tortitudo Probo & Syphirr – Well then! I guess it can come drop from the chest. You are probably right about the end chest for only this particular path. Skip skeptic about the other paths.
@Kid Taylor – I made it more clear now, it drops from the acolytes or possibly any mini-boss in the same path.
All recipe sheets comes from dungeon bosses (or mini-bosses), none I believe come from chests.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Fractals-cap-80/first
There is already a thread a few posts underneath you for having 80+ fractals.
Sorry for the late replies
@silence – on creation it is soulbound on equip. You are able to trade it. For some reason backpieces are not tradeable. I haven’t understand why it does it. But the same items from the recipes also drop from the bosses, meaning you can receive the craftable item and the recipe.
@Vennyhedie – I don’t think Soulshard is related to the craftable recipes but thanks for the infinity loop recipe, I’ll be sure to add it momentarily.
Trees and ores can be harvested at least 3 times. Vegetables can be harvested at least once.
Rich (ore name) vein can be harvested 10 times.
Your server and/or guild maybe have the harvest advantage where you can re-harvest the same node again.
It works as intended.
It is probably under the name Giver’s Intricate Linen Insignia.
I need more information to complete this list!
Need help finishing CoE & Arah!
@Gwarrior – Hmm then the Infinity Loop would go into CoE P3, and Prototype Sheath would go somewhere else. (P3 is escaping)
Not sure if I would want to add the stats, because I would also have to add the crafting materials to make it. I’m sure someone would ask how to craft it.
@Azriel – Ah yes. He is still an enemy but you can’t kill him. I forgot to add his minions provide the drops. But thanks for looking at the error.

What? 10,000 pennies is $100….
The max level is 400, regardless how many extra experience you received.
It will reset duration if you are using the same food.
Interesting, it drops from a chest? Or is it from the last boss?
It’s an Armorsmith recipe, not a Tailor recipe.
@ Decrypter – These are indeed exotic recipes. I assume you mean to equip them at a character level, so yes they are level 80 items.
@Zileve – I agree with you with Arah since Bloodstone Fragment is hard to come by and by speculation that it is also the hardest dungeon path. As for Inquest recipes, I have no clue.
You can only have one food effect at a time.
Thanks! Added and credited.
Over a month or so topics popped up with “how to” find certain recipe sheets.
So I have compiled a list, although it is unfinished, I will post the recipes that drop from the dungeon bosses.
Note: These are all Jeweler’s recipe level 400 and requires level 80 to equip.
All are exotic recipes and only drop from dungeon bosses. (Not necessarily final boss)
It is also possible to receive the crafted item as a drop.

If you know which recipe drops from each path, please let me know! I will add it here and will probably create a similar one on the wiki.
There has been reports that the recipe is tied to the path and the main boss, meaning you can also receive it from the mini-bosses.

Let’s say hypothetically that I have a recipe sheet that can be crafted by multiple disciplines. A good example would be Recipe: Ravaging Intricate Wool Insignia, which can be crafted by the 3 armor crafting disciplines.
The question: If I had a character that had tailor and armorsmith disciplines, would the recipe affect both crafts or would I have to buy 2 so it would affect both of them?
Location: Venlin Vale, Brisban Wildlands
Issue: Self explanatory but the underwater harvesting gives useless seashells instead of clams. The associated mats such as pearls and unid dyes are fine but not the particular clam itself.
Location: Wychmire Swamp, Caledon Forest
Issue: No fire imps come to attack the veteran mosshearts and the timer lasts 6 mins.
Results in auto failure, even though no veterans were hurt.
Either the map is wrong or the bridge placement is wrong but screenshot show I am over the water when I’m actually on the bridge.
Bridge placed in map is non existant.
I just did Lost Shores in the 2 first days, but I lost the last one.
So they didn’t gave this box to me.
Then, people who have participated in the most part of the event, but lost the last day… get nothing? And people who just participated in the last day get all the rewards?
Doesn’t looks fair.
I received the karka box and I didn’t participate in the final event. I was in the area though.
Hi there, I’m looking for a new guild since my current one is not active.
Server: Dragonbrand.
What I do: WvW (mainly), pretty much everything else as well. Not much of a pvper atm.
What I’m looking for: A guild that does things together; whether it’s dungeons or boss fights or jumping puzzles… list goes on but mainly wvw oriented.
Times I’m on: It varies, as of now, I’m on alot.
Thanks for looking.
