Nope. In fact it has top tier dps and the highest dps uptime when u factor all offensive support. With that said the reason you are not seeing the huge damage potential the thief has is because you are playing incorrectly, thief is not other classes where all u have to do is press 1 and you will do decent dps. If you are playing D/D to achieve the highest possible dps you use skill 5 then backstab BEHIND the enemy. I can’t stress this enough because people don’t know backstab does dd from behind or the sides. I can do 15k backstabs. Second, use heart seeker when the enemy is below 50% health. This is when heart seekers dmg is buffed. Also set ur build right, there is a website called meta battles that tells u which build will give the most dps. This is another reason why people who play thief say they don’t have high dps, is because they don’t know how to set up good build.

I swear these forums are full of crybabies and whiners. I enjoy this new PvP system. It actually requires skill and rewards u for having skill. I mean come on a main a Thief exclusively and I’m at tier 5 emerald

VB and AB are probably the most loved map because the meta are easier to organize and more fluid , also these two maps are a bit easier to navigate.

I honestly don’t even bother to the other two maps TD and DS , TD on my opinion has been designed by a crack head with shouting monkeys on his brain …really !!!
DS is nice to do the event few times ….main problem there …..even if I get there when the map starts ……it’s now very hard to have full map and complete the event.

HoT on my opinion fails in have the nice meta-events fluidity that GW2 original offers , now became like a job …..YOU MUST schedule your time in order to succeed in meta events like TD and DS , most of the time YOU DEPENDING on other 100 players in order to progress the game , GW2 lost the freedom that had in vanilla , you could lvl up in many ways and don’t care to constantly watch the clock so you wont miss an event.

They should’ve build HoT in different way, leave hearts in VB , AB and TD so you can still lvling solo if you like , make the meta events in VB , AB and TD shorter and less people needed , leave DS as it is.

HoT is not a bad expansion , it’s just not designed for every one , and this is not gw2 manifesto.

What?! DS literally is the easiest Meta of the 4. Not only that but ur statement that the map is always empty is completely false. There is a thing known as the LFG that exists for you to find a filled map. It literally takes 45 min or less to complete DS.

That would be extremely OP when you can go /p and just spam head shots.

Considering you must trait for it, spend plenty of initiative per Headshot, and hope your enemy has no stability and/or further trait for some reliability against stability spam by investing in Bountiful Theft over Trickster in a build without Escapist’s Absolution (rendering you extremely vulnerable to conditions) I’d say it really isn’t that overpowered of a concept at all.

Bountiful theft removes stab 21st so it’s always an interrupt.

Mostly true but it’s only because people are ignorant. I cleared the first 2 raid bosses on my thief and I’m starting sabetha tomorrow. Thief has the highest dps when u factor in all offensive support. But like I said people are ignorant to this fact.

As for PvP, thief is indeed in a rough stretch but still absolutely viable. Playing a thief involves more skill which is why people see it as “the worst class.” Play around with the builds and you’ll see which ones work and don’t work.

Thief is not bad. I was able to come up with a build that destroys DHers as well as 2 v 1. I’m not gonna say my build because it took me a lot of time to come up with the right utility and what not but I’m telling u, thief is not as bad as ppl are saying it is.

Since many people are ignorant and hate on Thieves for whatever reason, why not have a Raid boss that requires stealth as one of its mechanics? Just a thought.

I’ll have to agree with Galandil, the people who actually kicked u for being a Thief were probably garbage players who would have wasted ur time anyway. I’ve killed VG on my Thirf plenty of times, just start ur own raid squad and invite people because people are too ignorant.

@ OP: No, In my opinion Thief is not worth playing at this moment, unless your goal in GW2 is to gather resources fast (lumber / ore / plants).

It’s weapon sets and trait lines are messed up: condi skills mixed with power skills in different weapon sets that make no sense; re-hashed trait lines that are still a complete mess after the June change. The list can go on, but should you want more information I’m sure you can find it on reddit, since this forum is new and it lacks a WORKING FLUCKING SEARCH OPTION.

It’s power damage is decent, and in order to reach high numbers a player must do things like rotating the camera in stupid ways.

It’s condi damage (few bleeds and poisons, no access to burn) is mediocre at best, see the Venom share threads.

In order to reach the highest DPS so that you can contribute Something(your damage) to your group you will have to go full out DPS resulting in having 11k HP. GL with that.

Unless you will do you own testing, dps calculations and raid/fractals / world event monitoring with different professions under different setups (as I did) you can only read different threads to try to form an opinion.

So it is my opinion that Thief is not in a good place now for top PvE (Raids). I see no reason why a group leader would chose a 11k HP DPS-er with no group support. Why not chose a warrior or a Revenant who can output the same DPS by pressing #1, but have GREAT group support, almost Double HP and heavy armor?

I am aware that I may be wrong, and I really hope I am, since Thief is the profession that I enjoyed most in the past. But that hope (that I am wrong) is so tiny that I decided I won’t be a burden for my raid group and I won’t roll with a thief in raids.

Smh. I’ll just assume you’ve never played a Theif and leave it at that.

Please I only want answer from people who actually have this CPU.

What I mean is will this CPU run this game sufficiently? Will it run smoothly without any random stutters?
My setup will be the g3258, gtx 750ti, 8gb ram , Basically a budget build.

Also say this game doesn’t run smoothly on the g3258, will a i5 4590 work smoothly?
