No suggestions?
Other than SW, Fractal 40, and leather farm, what are some other farms that give a lot of gold/hr. I use to AB farm and got around 30g per run and each run, for me, was 35-40mim. Does any current farm come close to that gold/hr? Fractal 40 farm get me around 15-20g an hour. SW farm gets me around 10g per run witch is about an hour.
So any other farm with good gold/hr?
So on the female human and norn, there is fabric covering the stomach. This wasn’t in the other 2 precursors. On the sylvari, there is no fabric covering the stomach like on the 2 precursors. Also when you dye it, the fabric that covers the stomach doesn’t match the colors of the rest of the armor. Is this a bug and will it be fixed soon?
So it’s be said by Anet that it takes a long time to make armors and they are overall a hassle. Yet instead of making tops without a trench coat for medium armor (which I’m sure would make a lot of people happy) which is probably easier to make than trench coats, they keep making trench coats. Trench coats are more material and require physics. So wouldn’t the smart thing to do is not make trench coats and just make regual tops?
Not all skins will appeal to everyone.
Well that’s obvious.
To be fair, so was your title. Of course legendary armor was going to disappoint some people.
Not some, majority.
The Armors look awful, I know it, you know it, Anet knows it, everyone knows it.
Medium armor is another trench coat when medium armor wardrobe is 96% trench coat. Where’s the diversity? People have stated they HATE trench coats, yet Anet keeps pumping them out.
So much for legendary, I’ll just transmute them. 2 years of awful, hideous crap.
Has there been a survey since they released the images on whether the armors disappointed players? If not, how can you say the majority? Just because you dislike something doesn’t mean that your opinion is necessarily in the majority.
Well years of me typing on map chat in populated areas about how ugly the armor is in this game and getting a lot of responses agreeing with me is why I say majority.
Still… The amount of people that actually play the game. When I was on last night it was over 70k online at that time. You would have had to talk with at least 36k people, and have that many agree with you. That is just online. That doesn’t account for the actual number of active players world wide on NA, and EU.
Well let’s only consider the raiding community since, ya know, there the ones who will be getting the armor. I’m in 2 raid guild and I can tell you right now as I am chatting with them that they all hate it
Well years of me typing on map chat in populated areas about how ugly the armor is in this game and getting a lot of responses agreeing with me is why I say majority.
I’d be more inclined to say the majority either didn’t see your comments or didn’t feel like responding.
Well you’d be wrong…lol
Making the ugliest looking Armors they could make. Another trench coat for medium. Why am I even surprised?
I do hope they are proud of their works cause I’m sure the majority are not. Continue to pump out ugly trench coats Anet.
Awful, just awful.
And to the minority who are ok with it, that’s just it, you’re only ok with it. You don’t actually love it. You are settling.
You might want to consider speaking for yourself. Claims that you know the contents of the thoughts of many thousands of other people are a bit odd.
Have you been around Reddit or the forumns or even the game? People on map chat say it’s ugly. People on Reddit say it’s hideous. If you like it, then fine. In fact, I’ve inly seen a few people say they like it.

Haven’t done it myself yet, but AFAIK you have to stand in Rigom’s explosion when he dies, meaning you actually have to fail the mechanic and kill him outside of Samarog’s bubble.
So I have to tell my group, “Hey lets fail this RQ so I can get the heart” lol.
You don’t have to fail the mechanic. AFAIK you can just go under Samarog’s bubble before Rigom explodes.
I guess I’m kinda confused about the mechanic. When does Rigom explode? And how many times does he explode?

How do you get the heart for this fight? It says to use the heart to absorb energy from Rigom. I stood next to him, hit him, killed Samarog, etc and didn’t get the heart. What is it that I’m suppose to do?
You will need one of the non-expansion games besides having EOTN. If you can tell us what pieces exactly we can tell you more accurately what you would need to do.
Heritage Jerkin and Heritage Boots. And Heritage armguards if 3 HoM points equals 3 armor pieces? They’re all from medium set.
And what do you mean non expansion game?
Prophecies, Factions, or Nightfall are the stand alone games. You will need to have 6 points to have the skins you want. 3 for the jerkin and then 3 more for the boots.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Heritage_armor
I see that ^^^ and https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hall_of_Monuments are not synched up with what points get you what.
Ohhh I see. I thought the HoM points were a form of currency. So just getting the 3 HoM points for linking will be enough to get the boots and jerkin.
You will need to buy Prophecies (the original), Factions, or Nightfall plus EotN to gain the bonuses.
If you just want the Jerkin and the Boots, the 3 points will be enough. You’ll gain access to the skins for boots, chest, and pants for all three weight classes. If you want gloves, you’ll need an extra point.
Depending on the version you get, you might get a free minipet that would give you one more point. Otherwise, you’ll need to actually play the game for a bit.
Ok so I found this
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Guild-Wars-Heritage-Armor
So in the thread, Mercury says you don’t even need eye of the north to get the 3 HoM points, just the base game. True?
You will need one of the non-expansion games besides having EOTN. If you can tell us what pieces exactly we can tell you more accurately what you would need to do.
Heritage Jerkin and Heritage Boots. And Heritage armguards if 3 HoM points equals 3 armor pieces? They’re all from medium set.

So what I was thinking was buying Eye of the north expansion (Can I just buy the expansion or do I have to buy GW1 and then the expansion?), creating an account and then linking it to my Gw2 account. This apparently should give me 3 HoM points. Since I just want 2 pieces from the heritage armor medium set, will the 3 HoM points for linking accounts be enough the get just the 2 armor pieces I want? I read somewhere you need 6 HoM to get the full set but I just want 2 pieces.
…to achieve balance so we can STOP getting “balance” patches? At this point it’s getting ridiculous. Anet has continuously hurt things that were on life support and fix things that were perfectly fine. I am convinced that Anet just throws out these so called “balance patches” to generate hype to bring back players because, as we all know, GW2 is a dead game. Hell can we stop calling it balance patches?!?!?!? It’s so obvious that the goals for these balance patches are NOT to achieve balance within the 9 classes but to simply shake up the meta. Instead, let’s call them “Skills overhaul patch” or “Class changes patch” because after all, Anet, your goal is NOT to achieve balance.
I’m just waiting for the day when we finally stop getting balance patches (or atleast just get minor balance patches and not these major ones that shift the meta) because then I’ll know this game is balanced.
On small hitbox or moving bosses. So basically everyboss except KC and maybe Gorse, thief has the highest Dps. (I say if on Gorse b/c thief does more dps on spirits than Eles so that could possibly counter act Eles slightly higher dps on Gorse) But to my dismay, all I see on LFM for raids is Eles, eles, and more eles. Sigh. The raid community is still as ignorant as ever. Fortunately for me, I am done with raids since I have 162LI and I only want the Legendary Medium armor for my Thief. I was planning on getting 300LI to get the heavy set as well but looking at the teaser they posted changed my mind. That armor…ugly.
Hiraikotsus PLEASE ANET!!!!
Giant Boomerangs FTW. It would also complete my Sango toon.
Nah. Not much you can do, it’s pretty normal for a game to drop a few frames temporarily when it has to work harder to render new stuff that appears in the players view. Mostly dependant on hardware.
But even with the most beastly hardware available to you, you’re never really going to receive constant stellar framerates… This thread goes into detail why:

I see. Thanks for the link, now I can rest easy knowing it’s more of a software issue going on.
Anything? Something?
I disagree. I actually like it
Can someone post a pic of the new Kudzu bow string? I can’t see it when I preview in bank and don’t know anyone who has it
Why is this such a rare drop? I’ve been wanting this staff since HoT released. At the time, the price was at an all time high at 700g. So I decided to wait it out knowing the price would inevitably fall. However, I forgot all about the staff and stopped playing the game for a period of time. Came back during the summer and checked the staff again but it was still so pricey at 370+ gold. Now, the price has spiked up for whatever reason and is at 550 gold or something like that.
Maybe allowing the staff to be purchasable with airship parts (VB currency) could decrease the price. I’m currently swimming in VB currency with nothing to use it for.
How can you not like the voice of Nathan Drake!!!??
Can we please change the message when you kick someone from squad? Whenever you kick or get kicked from a squad, you just have that message on full display for everyone to see. It feels bad whether you’re the one kicking or getting kicked, at least for me. “Kicked” just seems very vulgar. Maybe something like “xxxx was removed from squad by xxxx” would be better IMO.

Mystic coins. For pretty much the entire games lifespan, mystic coin prices were stagnant from a few copper to 3 silver. Then, around the time HoT launched, the prices skyrocketed. I remember making my first legendary Incinerator about a year ago and the coins were around 8s a piece. Then I made my 2nd legendary, Chuka, about 4 months ago and the coins were around 50s. Now, they’ve spiked to over 80s. This simply goes to show that the supply for the coins is simply not enough. At this rate, by the time Legendary Armors release, I would not be surprised if the coins would be 1.2 gold a piece.
yes. everyone has already figured this out, probably 10 seconds after Legendary armor was announced as a possibility. your point?
I just don’t think there’s any point in getting all 3 legendary armor weights. Some people however are really down for that. I just wanted to get it for my main and call it there.
So a friend and I were talking about Legendary armor and we found it hilarious how it really wont make a difference. You can’t really change your build. Yeah you change your armor from berserker to viper but then you’d have to change your trinkets, accessories and amulet to viper as well. But even then, you’d also have the issue of runes. What, you gonna run scholar runes on your viper armor? Yeah…no. So unless they inroduce legendary trinkets, accessories, and amulets as well as legendary runes, legendary armor will just be for style. Ha fashion wars.
There’s no secret that the Legendary wings have lost their prestige. Usually I don’t care about prestigeness since legendary weapons lose prestige over time as more people can afford to buy one. But with the PvP legendary backpack I am not ok with. IMO, one of the requirements to attain the wings should have been reaching legendary prestige x1 in atleast 3 seasons. I don’t think it’s right that you can never reach legendary in any season and still get the wings.
and what if that car company said, oh that new headlight we hoped to build will actually cost 50k more, and for that 50k we could give you the things that you are NOW asking for, a new eco friendly engine, etc etc. This is what opportunity cost is., this is what good development is. Bad development is saying – we promised you a heradlight – here it is, but unfortunately you cant get that new engine, we made you that headlight you really wanted 3 years ago! And so the company declines.
Your really missing the point arent you? If i payed for a feature, i want that feature.
that feature doesn’t exist, they made something else, and that something else he played. Get it?
But the feature does exist and we were only delivered 25% of it i want the remaining 75%, i really dont think its too much to ask since everybody who bought HoT paid into the new legendaries, regardless if they were going to craft them or not.
now suddenly we are talking about volume of content.
Anet made a decision, they made B instead of A, we chose to either pay for that or not. If you say you like B (which OP did remember) then be a man and live by your own decisions. enjoying B and complaining that they didn’t make A? cmon this isn’t a playground, were not 4 years old.
Ok hold on there.
I pre order a 2017 iPhone advertised with features A, B and C. 2017 arrives, I get my iPhone except it’s without features A, B and C but with features X, Y and Z. Better yet, I preorder a PC but get a laptop instead because company wanted to make laptop instead of PC.
That is basically what you are saying here.
and what if that car company said, oh that new headlight we hoped to build will actually cost 50k more, and for that 50k we could give you the things that you are NOW asking for, a new eco friendly engine, etc etc. This is what opportunity cost is., this is what good development is. Wow I was right. You really don’t get it do you.
You say they halted development of the new legendarys so they can give us other content, except we were always still going to get that other content regardless.
So basically we went from “new legendarys + new content” to just “new content.” That is not opportunity cost my friend.
But….you’ll probably say somethin like “they scrapped new legendarys so they can bring new content to us faster” in which I’ll respond by saying “that sorta business tactic is unprofessional and just leads to more people being upset with the company”
Have a great day.
And has has been repeated a million times now, there is opportunity costs involved with every decision in life, the FACT is he gets pleasure from the game, he finds it fun , and that means the overall effect of all decisions Anet have made including old discussions about weapons skins has been good. So what exactly is he complaining about – he plays a game he finds fun after years of content, and now he doesn’t want to pay he says, now after 4 years?
Thats not to say Anet do things wrong, they do, but that’s not really his point.
My annoyance is actually this entitled culture thing, they want everything they think of in their head whenever they think about it, and ignorantly and deliberately ignore the underlying reasons or benefits they get from decisions – its easier to complain right?
Dude what are you rambling on about? Ok, we understand your loyalty to ArenaNet but not everyone is like you. In case you missed the point of this entire thread (which you clearly most surely did) I merely wanted to know what you guys think of ArenaNet as a company based on their decisions over the past couple of years. I stated what I felt about Arena Net and then you go on about the implications of Anets decisions. Yes, we all know Anet, at the end of the day, is trying to make money because what company isn’t.
And where are you getting this idea of entitlement? I’m beginning to think you’re just being contrary or a troll. I pay for content, I expect said content. Company tells me to expect something, I expect. Nothing about that screams entitlement to me.
im not loyal to Anet, its a game thats all.
your choosing to ignore the facts, Anet decided not to implement those legendaries ebecause they developed something else that provided more fun per buck.
lets put it another way, imagine they had ‘promised’ that all new zones would be like HOT, then they realized this is not what customers want now, so they decide to build what customers want. And then someone comes along complaining that they want every zone like HOT because they promised – what do you think the right choice is?
You pay for a fun game, you get a fun game. (your words not mine) Ive told you why they made that decision, you just choose to ignore the ‘why’ because it suits your complaints.
Roquen gave a really good response for you and I’ll leave it as that.

I think you are missing the point entirely…it’s not about entitlement at all. Anet promised these things in their reports/blogs/news/etc…and then the reneged on them. It’s as simple as that. They used HoT legendary weapons and armor as a selling point – to push sales up and then they didn’t follow through with it. The weapons in question are just one example of them doing that.
Yes the game is still fun, yes there are still other things to do but what does this mean for the future of the game. You say that “agile development” dictates that you need to constantly adapt your processes. How does pulling one of your smallest teams from working on their project to help the game but not pulling from those working on your NEXT expansion, when your CURRENT one needs a lot of help, make more sense? How is that not flawed? Please elaborate for me because you seem to understand this far better than I do.
What is stopping Anet from doing this again when their next expansion hits? What if they promise, x, y and z and only deliver on x? Could x still be fun? Of course it can but what about the other selling points?
Anet has had a habit of starting things and “laying the groundwork” over and over and over and then scrapping the idea entirely. People don’t want this to happen (well at least I don’t).
Imagine if your beloved Living Story was “scrapped” to work on WvW or some other aspect of the game you didn’t care for. There would be hell to pay and people would be in an uproar. Why is this any different than that? Because you don’t specifically care for that content?
THANK YOU!!!!!
Yeah ok this thread is pointless now. Good bye

Yes, I’m one of those kind of people: The “not ignorant” breed. The saddest part about threads like this is that you don’t even realize the benefit that Anet cancelling this failed development track has to our community. This isn’t about making money; it’s about business decisions that keep this game going and bring us more value for the money we give them.
But then you’re just defending an incompetent company that seems way in over their heads.
You’re right … I do, because I like the game and what it offers me for entertainment value. As long as it delivers that to me, I will support it.
BTW, how hypocritical for you to say that … you still play this game by your own admission? Therefore, you are also ‘defending’ this company and supporting the game they make as well. Who is this joke on again?
I will not lie, Anet did make a fun game. However that does make it ok for them to get away with the stuff I’ve listed. Btw, I’m not supporting it if I’m not buying gems.

The Legendary promises back in 2013? Yeah, they said all that and more back then. But at the end of that blog they added the sentence “As always, the content above is subject to change as we test and iterate on these systems.”
Those provisional promises made back then weren’t anything anyone paid any money for and they can be counted as hype. Nice if it comes through. But if it doesn’t, it doesn’t.
I understand, it’s just very unprofessional of them to do that.
… and while you’re at it “opportunity cost”, “return on investment”
Ahh I see, you’re one of those kinds of people.
You’re more concerned with the company making money and would rather receive the short end of the stick…which is odd considering people usually act in their own self interest.
look up ‘agile development’, that will help you understand ^^
Lol ok?
I don’t think that changes the fact Anet has lost a lot of its players and that the few players that are still around won’t be supporting the company. But people like you can go ahead and conform to Anets unacceptable ways.
if a developer carried on with tunnel vision and only ever built what they discussed at some point in the past then their ability to react to present customer needs would be nil.
I don’t suspect most of the average gamers understands how this is exactly what kills a business. That’s why it’s so sad to see threads like this.
Unfortunately, the joke is on the OP, because having a fraction of customers that don’t give Anet money for whatever is already part of their business model. Yeah, you really fooled them dude :/
Uhm ok?
if a developer carried on with tunnel vision and only ever built what they discussed at some point in the past then their ability to react to present customer needs would be nil. Strangely the people that complain still play the very same product they have played for the last 3 years including the content that was made instead of those 3 year old legendaries that were discussed. Still for some it seems a good excuse to declare they will no longer support the game in the future (why?) and yet they will still play it which means actually they still enjoy same content. The modern take take take never be happy with what you have people are delightful.
Are you being contrary just for the heck of it? I don’t seem to quite understand what your point is with this post. If you’re saying that “it’s ok for a company to go back on its statements, not deliver to what customers paid for and we should just settle” then it’s people like you I dislike the most.
and said we could expect new legendarys as well as a way to craft/build precursor weapons later on in 2013. It took them about 3 yrs before we finally got what we were promised and on top of that, we only got 4 new Legendarys as the rest were put on hold (in other words it’s basically cancelled) despite the fact we, the players, bought it with our own money.
So what does this say about Anet as a company? Do you consider them to be fraudulent and deceiving? Because that is what I think of when someone says ArenaNet. I don’t really care for Legendarys all that much, but what I do care about is if a company makes a promise, they better deliver on that promise. If I buy something that was clearly advertised by a company, and that company not only does not deliver with the item but doesn’t even give me my money back, I consider it fraudulent and deceiving. And its really not just the Legendarys but everything else that Anet has promised but have failed to deliver. I haven’t bought anything with real money since HoT came out and I don’t think I ever will.
But on a lighter note, atleast I’ll still play your game, you’re just never going to get my money ever again
I think they actually listen to ppl but not every one single whiner on forums (OP) but rather some known personas in the community/esport(lol) pros who actually have deeper understanding of balance and mechanics. If they were to listen to everyone who is Q_Q all the time that class XXXX is op cuz its countering my playstyle or buff YYY cuz its my fav class we would be kittend
Lol I guess the one time Anet did listen to the community was when everyone was crying to their mothers about how Thief was beating everyone in PvP because “they have stealth.” Anet responded by nerfing the hell out of the class for the next 3 years. They took away everything that made the class fun (S/D and D/D, to name a few) and basically shoved D/P down our throats in PvP. If you do some digging around the forums, you’ll realize that no other class has been nerfed as hard as Thief. Literally no other class comes close to the amount of nerfs recieved compared to thief. Anet is constantly beating the dead horse by nerfing thief time after time after time. The thief class we have now is a shadow of its former self.
You kidding right ? I play a thief from beta as the main character And I’ve read more nonsense.
Every single weapons on Thief hit a huge boost, same trait line. last 3 years Thief hit only perma stealth nerf on D/P.
What? So you’re telling me those nerfs we got over the last 3 years were buffs? LOL.
Btw, here’s a list made 2 years ago of all the nerfs. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/thief/Complete-List-of-Thief-Nerfs/first#post4052788
I’m telling you, literally no other class comes close to the amount of nerfs thief got. Mind you, all the nerfs stemmed from people who QQed on these forumns about thief supposedly being OP.

learn to play skillfully rather than frantically smashing your keys?
Yet 8/9 classes is basically spam this, spam that, I have booms, here’s my passive block, I’ll pop invuln, here my CC.
Yeah we’re playing GW2, it would only be fair if the one class that requires skill (Thief) can also be played like the rest of the 8 classes. (Faceroll spam, passive childish defenses, CCs galore)
Topic. I just wanna know, we give them great feedback and how to improve but instead they gave us broken DH, nerfed Ele and a 1s CD on stealth skills for Theives (Nobody in the ENTIRE Gw2 community was even complaining or even talking about “hey let’s give thief 1s CD on backstab”) yet they randomly nerf thief.
(edited by Shovel Face.4512)
This might help, it may not. I don’t understand the issue personally. As annoying as it is, Guards need all those passive blocks and Aegis just to stay relevant atm.
-Dodge through traps, double dodge if you have too.
-Notice where the DH stands, most likely that’s where his traps are. If not, they are between you both somewhere, so go in on the sides.
-The Trap rarely covers the whole point, use the sides to cap assuming you have killed the DH
-If you see a DH drop 3 traps, let your team know. (assuming you died)
- Use range weapons that have no reflect, it’s limited but do-able.
- Use skills that are unblockable
- Boon strip once f3 is popped
- AoE the 3x block shield
- Damage mitigation – This includes a combo of protection/regen and frost aura. Gather other sources if possible.
- Ontop of damage mitigation you also need to further decrease your opponents DPS output by applying Weakness and blind. Weakness is especially important against a DH.
- Don’t stand on red circles
- If you’re on point and a DH is charging you, if he has Judges Intervention then assume he will use it with a trap bomb so just dodge once you think he’s about to engage (800-1000 range away generally)… It’s a game of chance but its much better to randomly dodge a burst than what it is to soak up a burst.
-Any class with Ai can be used to activate traps before engaging, this includes Gyros, Pets, Minions and Clones
-Most classes with evades for skills can dodge traps, say a GS3 from a Warrior or that hammer trick from a Rev (not a pro on rev but even I know that hammer can proc safely)
-If a DH throws his F1 at you, pop stab or get behind something that will obstruct the pull, some examples would be Nhifil and mid point, just back up a little down the ramp, that alone is enough to stop the pull (although this one sometimes shoots you up in the air and you will die to fall damage lol)… better yet are those pillars or the corners of the walls depending on the DH and your positioning.. Point is, use obstructables to counter the pull.
-Kiting a DH and range pressure will be DH downfall in the end, it’s more important to kill the person on cap point then take it rather than previous seasons where we all face tank and push people off point.Obviously everyone has different styles of play and different amounts of experience, but this is just some of the things that help me and I mostly run Viper/Marauder builds. I do die to DH from time to time, but it’s always my fault or mistake.
No tips or advice will help to fight a DH because it’s a different encounter every time. DH is just simply broken. You give all these tips but truthfully, if the DH know how to play the class then he/she has already won. They don’t work for their wins, they make YOU work for your win. Simple as that. I expect DH to get nerfed hard as well as Thief because if we’ve all learned something, it’s that it’s never a GW2 balance update unless you nerf Thief.
Season started last week and you already played 240+ games. Jesus.
