Just so you know, you cannot ‘stomp’ someone when they’ve already been killed by the 30+ other people in your blob. You have to have around 5-10 to be able to ‘stomp’ (15 or maybe even 20 if you’re lucky)

Led by [ZeGa], we actually mustered a decent group in EB today and flipped a T3 Wild Creek with surprisingly little resistance. Here is how I picture what was going on on AG:

AG Scout: " Commander, an Underworld zerg incoming to WC!"

AG Commander: “An Underworld what now?”

AG Scout: “A zerg, Sir.”

AG Commander: “You mean like a small roaming party or something?”

AG Scout: " No, Sir! It does indeed appear to be a zerg of considerable size."

AG Commander: " You mean to tell me that all their 20 players came online at the same time?"

AG Scout: “It seems so, I’ve never seen them amass such numbers before.”

AG Commander: " So it’s like a real, real zerg with lots of people in it?

AG Scout: “Yes…”

AG Commander: “Ok, maybe we should check it out.”

But by then it was already too late. A glorious roar of victory emerged from the Lord’s room of the now wooden tower, as the pent up frustration was released all at once from the worn down, spawn-camped bodies of the UW players. The paper doors shut in the face of the AG players panicly rushing to defend, a bitter sign of their defeat to a foe that they had mocked and looked down upon for so long. Could it be true? Was UW truly not dead yet? How could their spirit persist, despite all those days of spawn-camping and /Dance-spamming on their rotting bodies?

All these unanswered question could easily overwhelm the average AG player. Luckily, he didn’t have to ponder them alone. He would seek the help of the 70 other players that were always in his near vicinity.

Whether they have come to a conclusion or not, remains unknown till this day.

I can’t tell if you’re from AG or UW :P

I have found the funnest thing to do in WvW; hang around the UW spawn and spam personal emotes.

To be honest, if it were up to me, then I would give UW their borderlands back so they could have something to defend, at the moment, they can’t actually take it back because so much of the stuff is T3

Why do I think you tanked? well let me answer that for you.

Your server made several guilds go away (a person from your server told everyone in a thread a little while ago) in order to get into silver league, then they were told to return once the season was over. However, one of the problems was that your server didn’t count on the sheer awesomeness that is Gandalf.

My theory:

Tankolation is a gold league server, but it is a silver league server (in terms of strength at the moment) that has gotten people to leave and has convinced so many forum warriors to deny all of this on these forums; whilst claiming themselves to be victims. Using these methods Tankolation planned to be a slightly better than the rest “silver league server” therefore making the tanking look like it was natural.

Once the league was over and all of the Tankolation forum warriors had gained their pretty dolyak related prizes and the guilds had returned, Tankolation would return to gold league where they would once again claim to be the victims of the “Vizunah zombies”.

This is why I am supporting Gandalf and not Tankolation, because Gandalf deserves to win silver league.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, I am looking forward to your reply (without flame this time )

Let me give you a little history lesson about deso. Putting aside personal feelings, DVG is what carried deso. They were the ones who got us that nice shiny gold medal each week. However the mighty warriors got tired out and decided to go where the grass was greener. With them gone, others left, some for the same reason, others for different reasons.

One of the guilds that left disbanded shortly after the transfer, another split into two guilds on the other server due to different intentions. Another guild that was on deso never had any intention of staying and simply recruited here. I doubt any of the guilds that left deso have any intentions of returning, and if any do return you can give yourself a pat on the back.

I don’t think anybody really has the time to organize something like this simply for what, a golden dolyak finisher? You are thinking too much on a matter that is really quite simple. There is no elaborate plan to steamroll all of the silver league servers.

But of course people will believe what they want right, some people still think the earth is flat. All of this would make a great novel though so you should open a word document and type your thoughts there rather than this forum.

PS: I agree, with the numbers that we pulled at the beginning of the league and the numbers we pull each week, that we are a gold league server. What’s done is done though and no amount of crying and typing “tankolation” will change that, so why not go back to your match up thread and complain how boring a week it is because YOU are steamrolling.

I use Tankolation as a general term, not because I’m “crying” I don’t actually use “Desolation” that much anymore, once I find a nickname I like, I stick to it (hence the Gandalf)

As for the complaning in my own matchup thread, I actually have posted about that, but as there’s only around 20 posts there, there’s no point in repeating that.

Also, as I have have said twice now, I don’t actually have much interest in this thread I’m responding to people quoting me! I can’t escape!

It would be relatively easy for pretty much all of Silver League to beat us if you played as dedicated as some of our people have, investing their time to be online at silly hours.

As for Gandara.. has anyone checked their population status recent? It is very high at the moment. So coverage? Meh!

Every match-up I’ve enjoyed so far and I’m looking forward to these next 2 weeks especially. Shame you don’t do the same.

Usually I agree with Smallscale ftw, but I just enjoy seeing UW and MS getting steamrolled, because they do the same thing when I and my guildmates are trying to do some roaming and then get chased by a zerg over half the map. When I command I always shout to ignore roamers of enemy servers, but not this week.

Do you actually call out a server who can put 20+ groups into WvW couple hours a day that they steam roll something else than sentries? Get real man, your server does it way more.

It’s just the truth Didn’t enjoy roaming at all this week so far, heck, even Desolation was more enjoyable, because they don’t chase you with 10 people over half a map

As soon as I saw the matchups; I realised that it’s possible to get some really great matchups, like AG vs Gandara vs FSP and it’s possible to get really lousy matchups like AG vs Deso vs UW therefore, I am wondering whether it’s possible for our matchups to be chosen, either by an Anet member of staff or by a vote. I just really want another epic matchup.

edit: the main reason I’m asking is because I really don’t want to end up fighting gold leagues servers like we were pre league starting.

Yip they have won it, no one can deny it.. I just wish I could of found more Deso players to fight… well I say more but not the hordes that it has been hilarious getting to chase me across EB at times.. really it takes 10-15 of your zerg to run down 1 UW player … awesome.
Then again having stayed up a few times this week to see just what Deso do as the early hours nightcappers come in.. golem rushing empty towers and a keep with 3 people defending… I truly bow to your awesome wood and stone overpowering skills.

you are clearly weaker at prime time only and some parts of the day; during the night and the morning, you zerg us into oblivion, that’s why you should be in gold league.

ohhh isn t that nice to hear. Vizuna are all a big happy family holding hands together. If there s a fair fight to be had we run. If we don t outnumber our enemys 2:1 we call for reinforcements. I can list a lot of good guilds from different Servers. Not sure how many times we had matches against Vizunah but still I cannot list one good guild that impresses me.

Can someone from another Server name me one? Maybe I ll find the tag between the other 70 Vizus one day.

It was indeed confirmed by Devon that such a bug does not exist, and that the number of players are equal.
But then again, who am I to suggest that trusting the people with the actual information is the right thing to do? ^^

there’s quite a lot of evidence to suggest that it’s real, like one guy being outmanned while guild mates have a queue to get in, there’s also several screenshots I posted on a topic that showed all of the EU greenborderlands, all of them except for Dzagonur had a keep in the enemy hands.

I’m looking into this right now, but I can’t see any indication that this is actually true. All 3 worlds are capable of having the same number of people on the green borderlands. Baruch Bay in particular, currently has exactly the same number of people in the Green Borderlands as do their 2 opponents. I’m not sure why people are under the impression this is happening, but I can assure you it is not.

I do have some proof, it may not be definitive proof, but it will have to do, all of these servers have at least one keep that has been taken off them (except Dzagonur, which has one of it’s spawn towers taken instead) I apologise in advance if this is merely a coincidence.

edit: I’m sure something similar is happening in NA, but I’ve only done the EU servers.

I have to say it’s completely typical, for once Aurora Glade have a colour advantage and there’s a bug in the green borderland which means we only have half the number :L and we are green 5 out of 7 weeks -.-
