It can do with something that makes it better, I’d say a smaller activation time would be better. 2 seconds would be perfect, it would probably be the step that makes the torch a viable option for a dps weapon.
It’s been around two years since it was available and now it’s 500 gold in the trading post despite only being masterwork, so I want to know when I can get it again.

I have thought about trying sigil of doom but they just remove poison ridiculously fast
The reason I’m asking is because I have a couple in my guild that it’s ridiculously hard to win against. I can beat them sometimes but they win most of the fights against me :/
I’m a good guardian, I have champion paragon from many solo queues and going solo on team arena, but I just can’t seem to win against d/d eles, how is it done?
Just hide behind a warrior; it usually works.
I vote yes because I mainly roam in wvw and I am sick of gankers chasing me, with these changes, I at least have a decent chance of killing them.
What if you kill a ranger, will you lose loot?
hmm… losing loot would be a bit harsh imo but I think a debuff that lasts for 24 hours called “Barrel fish shooter” would be good
I think warriors should be added to http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bosses, so we get 20 AP if we manage to kill a greatsword warrior without using CC skills. 30 more if we manage to kill one on our own.
Ok, here is my idea: when we kill warriors in wvw, we get champion bags for killing them.
In Orr; there’s champion spider hatchlings that have around the same survivability as warriors do, however, warriors hit much harder and are self aware. This makes them much harder to kill.
Quite a lot of champions have phases of invulnverbility, so do warriors. Warriors can get up to 10 seconds of immortality with endure pain (traited and at a certain % of health) this combined with beserker stance, shield stance and healing signet gives a massive amount of healing for a passive effect while taking no damage.
This combined with massive damage and knockbacks as well as almost permanent stability gives an enemy that is extremely like a champion, therefore, we should get champion bags when we manage to kill a warrior.
Another comparison is the warriors ability to evade and run away with a greatsword. This gives potential for an enemy that’s nearly impossible to kill. A lot of champions are immune to cripple/ immobilize; warriors with all anti condition buffs on get 95% less cripple/ immobilize, this is also staggeringly like a champions.

Hopefully, with this, I have convincing proof that we deserve champion bags for killing warriors in wvw.
I would love to see a new ranged weapon. At the moment, all it takes to defeat a guardian is to kite it, the guardian can’t do a thing about it. A longbow being added would be fantastic.
Main things I would like to see changed for dps guardian:
Have a sword/shield and a greatsword. Definitely have dogged march on, as well as -40% condition duration food. If you see a zerg, presume they’re going to chase after you and run away. Go for stances as well, you can easily get out of a tricky situation by having endure pain and beserker stance on at the same time.

I like some of the suggestions here, more titles doesn’t hurt anyone in the slightest, it just encourages them to play more
I don’t know how hard it would be to implement but making you see your character as the race you chose and making you see all the other characters as humans and the same thing applied to everyone so if you picked asura on your screen you would be an asura and all the other would be humans but for the other playerss you would be a human.
Obviously this may have some problems because if you are playing an asura you might think you are hiding somewhere and you are being seen, but shame on you for exploiting an unfair advantage.

Yesterday I finally achieved my champion paragon title, but now I have nothing else to do with my guardian, I look around hotm and so many people have got champion titles. It doesn’t really help to separate the good from the bad, it just separates the decent from the bad.
So I guess what I’m asking here is for a new set of titles to be added in; legendary titles. They would require 500 wins with a pug team as the profession; I have nothing to do in tournaments at the moment, I’ve pretty much maxed out my skill as a guardian and I really don’t have a goal to work towards.
I need something to show that I’m good at playing my guardian, the champion title just won’t cut it, so many people have gotten it from grinding with their guilds, I haven’t done that at all, I’ve been a part of pug teams throughout. It would really help to show if someone’s good at their profession or just a grinder.

Quite honestly, you need a running away build if you want to solo roam, there’s an unbelievable amount of gankers. That’s the reason thieves and warriors are so common.
If you want to survive, you need to have condition cleansing and a hell of a lot of stun breakers, I recommend using a mesmer in that aspect since they have decent condition removal and they can escape easily using blink.
For overall awesomeness and challenge, use a meditation guardian. However, as a med guardian you will need to avoid necros and condition engis like your characters life depends on it, because it probably does. They have very good mobility when gs/ s is used and if you combine it with traveler runes then it’s almost as good at escaping as a nike warrior.
edit: as an added bonus to being a guard, you will get next to no hate since there isn’t any cheese guardian builds.

By looking at things, it seems that wvw has a huge amount of potential. While gw2 is generally played for PVE, if wvw was properly funded and developed, then it would encourage a huge amount of new players and therefore would create more profit for the game.
By fixing the biggest problems first, it would improve wvw play dramatically. However, at the moment, many people are getting annoyed and frustrated because the biggest things that happened to wvw turned into giant disasters (bloodlust and eotm)
For now, I would say the three biggest problems imo are:
These three problems make wvw near unplayable, although the latter was slightly improved when champions and veterans got buffed to drop boxes. The second one is the worst for me, it makes wvw near unplayable, but overall, I would say the first one is the worst.
In a war, the participating armies do not all group up on one spot like they do in wvw, they have to use a massive range of tactics and skill in order to win against their opponents. At the moment, it’s whoever has the most numbers wins and that in turn causes people to go to PVE, because in PVE you do the same thing and get much better rewards for it.
I realise that there was a pol about if people played wvw or pve, but that’s because many people have just given up on wvw and/or quit the game entirely. Seriously, even gem store items relating to wvw wouldn’t go unappreciated. If you put something like a permanent siege repair kit on the gem store, then I can almost guarantee that there would be a giant fan frenzy praising the Anet dev who put it on there. Not to mention gem sales would spike due to wvwers wanting to be able to repair their siege.
I really hope that an Anet dev reads this and takes it into consideration, after all, gem sales do create profit.
I got dc’ed in a tpvp game around 2 times yesterday, that combined with a computer crash was enough to grant me the dishonourable title.
These dc’s are just horrendous, it’s not my internet connection causing it, it’s the game itself. Now I can’t play tpvp for the next two days because of something I can’t control.
I have never intentionally left my team in tournament match, no matter how bad they were but I still get the dishonourable title anyway.
It really does depend on the build; for example, using shelter against a warrior or necro is just asking for pain. Signet of resolve is by far the better option against condition based builds.
You get pretty much the same effect using shield of wrath at the same time as SoR, you can also kite your enemy for a few seconds while healing. Either way you look at it, SoR is the better option unless the enemy team is full of thieves.
edit: looking at the image in your original post, I can tell that you run as a zerker guardian. Yes, shelter is the better option for zerk but SoR is much much better for bunker.

Anyway silver is the way to go, the only thing keeping me as a roamer here is some form of loyalty to Gandara, that and I have 200 something Gold trophy finishers left saved especially for Deso. Although I won’t go in depth into calling them out as a wretched hive of scum and villainy, because with what I’ve written already I will be sporadically bold-texted into the ground about how Deso is the best thing since sliced bread by Deniara.

I usually kill the bird before I do anything else in a 1 vs 1 fight, same way I kill off the golems of necros.
At the moment it’s +15% which is pretty bad, especially when compared to signet of stamina which gives +50%.
I know traits are meant to give weaker buffs than signets but d/d eles, engineers and warriors have a +25% movement speed trait which gives the same effect as the +25 movement speed signets.
The trait is next to useless when compared to the other traits in the virtues line.

I’ve wanted something like this ever since the game began and now I finally have it, thank you Anet!
I’m not going to rise to the bait, it’s obvious who the condition spammers are and who isn’t just by checking previous posts.
I like to point out that gw1 got along just fine without condition spam, gw2 also got along just fine in the beginning as well without so many conditions.
Also, there’s pretty much no counter for a condition necro, a thief comes close to doing it, but pretty much all other classes get screwed over. With high health and deathshrowd, the necromancer is the bane for any dps class. No amount of dps can compensate for immobilize/ weakness spam.
That’s just one example, there’s plenty more such as: condition spam warrior, condition thief, bleed you to death ranger and the condition engineer. At the moment, there’s more skilless condition builds than actual dps builds. There has even been attempts at a condition guardian.
For the record, the conditions could just be replaced by giving the character boons instead of spamming the enemy to death with conditions.
As we all know, conditions in wvw are out of control and horrendously difficult to counter. So here are my proposed changes.
Bleeding: can only go up to a stack of 5
Blind: remove completely
Burning: just fine
Chilled: remove completely
Confusion: gets removed once the damage has been done
Crippled: remove completely
Fear: once used the enemy gets a boon which means that fear cannot be placed on them for 10 seconds
Immobilize: remove completely
Poison: remove the reducing heal potency by 33% part
Torment: reduce the damage by 50%
Vulnerability: just fine
Weakness: remove completely
Now to pre-answer some of the comments that I know I will get:

I main a guardian, guardians have the best condition removal in the game, if I can’t counter them with a full anti condition build; something is seriously wrong.

You cannot dodge most conditions and there’s only so many times you can dodge in a certain space of time.

Free for all arena where all players fight each other, no points to hold, just openfield chaos. A bit like southsun survival only with (hopefully) more 1 vs 1s. It’s kind of like a survival of the fittest game.The first player to reach 100 wins.
what will you do if thief are playing full stealth ? and they are like the 2 last players standing? quite a mess

I think that if toughness worked against conditions and there was a condition limit (say around 5 conditions) conditions would be a lot more balanced.
Getting rid of immobilize stacking would be a good start.
Confusion would be more balanced if it got removed once it caused damage.
Weakness + blind should be removed entirely imo.

I’m a mesmer and I am often left inside keeps due to nobody finding me, I can easily kill the guards but I can’t kill the lord using my PU build due to the conditions not killing it fast enough.
Has anyone got a build for keep soloing?
considering solo roaming really means roaming around with more then one friend to back you up.. jumping on a player that is really solo roaming. i say you can stick that solo roaming idea im off to pvp..

The main necro weakness is a total lack of stability, just mixed good knock backs into your build, that should give you a good chance of winning.
