I suggested this when traps were announced, noone noticed.
Why not make a area trap that sets off when 50+ run trough and applies a new condition that is similar to cripple, but cant be cleansed off.
EDIT: Oh right, because it would hurt the zerging.

Why don’t we get WXP for capping/defending these.
It’s far too easy to flip them just to farm WXP. One thing that is coming soon is an addition of WXP consumables to the player loot bags, which should make a pretty big addition to the amount of WXP you get from being in the area, assuming you are killing players. As to adding it to the general capping of the points, we’ll have to consider that pretty carefully before we make any changes.
I didnt use a watch to see how long it takey to cap a point, but it feels like kitten standing still or fighting enemies. This isnt worth 10WXP and 20 Karma?
That said, developers are real people too and we prefer that our staff members post with their own personalities and not just rehash marketing speak.

However, there are critical bugs in the game right now that should never, never, never, NEVER happen if anybody even once used a ram with the new mastery or flipped the buff in a fight.
Basicly 2 playtesters could have warned/prevented a lot of kitten that is wrong right now.
Buff here, buff there. Everytime buff flips we get insane skill lag for a few seconds.
FPS lower than ever at ruins without enemies on the screen.
Ram mastery buggy as hell.

I also agree with the comments by other Desolation players in this thread about Gandara. Gandara is probably the #1 ganking server in EU. So many run ganking builds (= builds made for solo or small group roaming and killing fast, not that efficient build for zerg support). It was pretty sad to see even good players like [JDGE], an ex Desolation guild, to do that. I watched them near a sentry (sentry guard on their side) to ambush Desolation solo roamers. I observed it. 10 minutes later they are still waiting there and ganking. If Gandara would actually spend less time ganking they could easily have a higher rating with their number of WvWvW players. Desolation was very often outnumbered in matchup against Gandara.
I expect to see more ganking very soon as the masterminds of Arenanet are going to give us 1-3 points from stomping. Welcome to Gank Wars 2.

I imagine it like this: a bunch of Devs meeting in EB, smoking some Lemongrass, having visions about Siege Wars 2 together. Afterwards they write their ideas down, think about it and decide to hide them from the public folks because they fear the responses.
Then suddenly they reveals their stuff shortly before release with the idea of “haha, its too late now, we cant do anything :’( qq kkthxbye”.
While instead all we ask for is Devon kicking the dude, who is responsible for the broken party system, everyday in his nuts till he fixes it. And stop adding stats on Masterys/Orbs/Bloodlust.

Does anyone knows the stats this buff gives? If is not too big, is not a problem.
This time we will be able to remove/get the buff easily, even one single player can do it? a thief for example.
If the above apply, my answer is yes, if not, is no.
+50 stats per buff. Potential 150 stat points in Power, Toughness, Vitality, Conditiondmg. and Healing. You decide if it is much or not.
No, one single player cant remove it easily since it takes ages to cap a point.

There will be a buff that you get if you contol at least 3/5 capture points for two minutes in the updated borderlands map (coming next patch).
The buff itself will give you +50 to all primary stats and finishing players with a stomp will give you +1 point. So stomping 5 players in a fight will be worth as much as controlling a camp.
Each borderland will have a bloodlust buff and will effect the other BLs and EB.
There could be so much stuff they could do with this buff and yet they want to implement the easiest solutuion and also the most boring one: static stats.
Oh, btw. its also the only thing people activly asked not to bring into WvW.
I really hope we get something better for the 2nd season.
Good luck for the first season Devon, without any preparations to WvW bringing all this stuff you worked on in a single patch you’ll need it. I hope your dedicated WvW playerbase doesnt decrease too much within 7 weeks so you can bring us something more interesting that that.

Add a restriction so that transfering in the same WvW league isnt allowed or people who will get kitten on in WvW because of debuffs. Add a week of restriction free transfers after each season. After 3-4 seasons everything should be a bit more even or people have quit the game by now. Just please, take the risk, dont do it as half hearted as always.

Well, lets not kid ourselves. The mats might actually drop in a fair amount in WvW. The problem of practicaly no ectos from WvW still stands strong. Means we WvW people are the first ones to invest everything to get the 300% MF to recieve some ecto from drops.
BTW in another thread a dev said they are aware of the fact that they flooded so much money into the game with their Living Story updates. I fear they considered the amount of money every pve player has now for crafting ascended weapons too. Sadly the only part where the stats can be gamebreaking didnt recieve any financial support from Anet.
I hope we have enough nightcapping this week to keep increasing our rating to prevent these matchups in the future. Sadly we have to win with 10x the score to gain any points from this week.

Today was the first time actually we refused a GvG against VII and we will refuse any other GvG invitation for this week and probably the upcoming weeks as well.
We are recruiting atm to get back in action again but there is no point fighting a guild while many core members are mia.
I disagree. There is nothing better than a GvG for people who want to prove themselves. Regardless of core, not so core or completly new members.
TUP did the GvG without many “core” members and we accept our defeat. We have shown improvement in the later rounds/scrimms and this is all that matters. It has shown weaknesses in our play and we are more than glad to fix them in the future.
And you clearly had the numbers to GvG us + having 10 members watching.
Just not caring about the ranking is the key to long term success. Refusing GvGs while having definelty more than enough people to choose from is just meh.
While you screwed up and fixed the droprate of items in WvW multiple times, the Badge rate is really, really poor since the last patch and threads are still unaswered (as far as I can tell, plz link if I am blind).
Is the Badge drop rate change a bug or intended?

The cheating accusations from the spectators dont reflect [TUP]s opinion. Watched footage multiple times without seeing any gamebreaking “cheating”. Got beaten fair, nothing to add.

It became a lot worse since the last patch. If we have the Outmanned buff, there are no battle markers on the map and 3/4 of the guild are rubberbanding then something is wrong. All this while skills work fine.
Regardless there is a major revamp coming soon to how achievements work in wvw.

What else do you expect when a game was designed by casual people for the casual masses, and said masses get killed by someone “not-so-casual”…..
Besides they all know if they whine enough everything will get “adjusted”…It has been proven many times.
The single biggest problem in this game is that there are large groups of people that think they should win every fight. And when they do not, they think surely whatever or whomever beat them is OP.
And it is truly amazing how many players can’t grasp the rock/paper/scissors aspect of the game. GW2 has LOTS of faults, but expecting every class/spec (no matter how well played) to be competitive any other class/spec … in every context no less … is just ridiculous.
And its Anets own fault for advertising the classes like this. No trinity → people misunderstood → even more complaining than usually.
Maybe because you’re not supposed to get every achievement in the game within one week of playing.
Also a precursor for WvW kills is just silly.
I made 300g from PvE in last 2 weeks. Why WvW achievement that take ~1Y to get can’t give item worth ~500g? We are inferior people or what?
I’d say its bullkitten because precursors will drop in price and wont be worth that much.
I rather have some solid gold or some skins that are unique and WvW only.

WvW is a game type that we believe very strongly in. We’ve seen that people have been organizing their own combat in WvW and that’s really cool, but WvW requires changes that are not always in step with the gameplay that has been emerging. Our focus is on making WvW as strong as it can be and we will continue to make changes with that in mind. We have been and will continue to discuss these open field battles, but in the meantime the changes we make to WvW will always have that game type first and foremost in mind.

It’s simple and easy to create for a start.
You (Anet) already stated that are reworking Living story dungeons (Molten Facility) to actually new Fractals so you can easily rework 1 fractal to a working GvG Arena as a base and pile more work and polish over it in time (or your free time like those guys who created Super Adventure Non-sense).
Dont hate on SAB. It was the best PvE content any mmo had to offer!

That’s an awfully small tunnel, camera angles would be hard pressed to find a good viewable angle. I personally don’t know if it goes ANYWHERE… yet…
In the end it turns out to be a dead end. Poor communication within the teams that knew there will be a tunnel, and the ones who didnt.
Just like every WvW change they make.
