My first reaction to seeing a crafting area in WvW was ‘???’.
While I think it should be damaged – I think it should separate from PvE, and cost less to repair than normal (or allow you to repair with badges or whatnot) or perhaps have a free repair NPC with a long cooldown? Perhaps even a controllable resource for that, like mercenaries.
I like this idea, allow us to repair with the tokens we get from players.
You can already by repair canisters with gold and with those repair on the spot.
Only noobs whine about downstate.
the system is a lot better then losing from a ‘Skilled’ player that only needs to press 1 to win because he spent more time PVE’ing is PvP gear together.
“The Longer I Farm the Worse My Drops Get”
MMO mechanics 101
The more area gets farmed the lower the rate is going to be for some time.
yep in small ui settings it breaks up since it does not scale properly. What it needs is different resolutions for the different versions.
Flag it as spam the latest messages get flagged and send for review and gold sellers will stand out to the review team like a sore thumb.
Doesnt sound like local system lag aka low video/cpu performance. If you press a skill or space to jump and have a second delay then it sounds like network lag/high ping, proper lag.

Anti virus programs and such seem to get in the way of the launcher sometimes. Try disabling them and see if that changes anything or re-configuring them.

P.S you could disable high-res textures for ‘other’ player models in the option menu for the sake of performance in WvW . Also you can reduce physics (GW2 ueses the ‘Havok engine’ by lowering ‘animation detail’,this should lower bandwith needs.
I think memory bandwith comes into play in this case as opposed to the amount of memory needed. In WvW there can and will be tons of models next to geometry of keeps and models of siege weapons etc.
When all of those have to be loaded at the same time then memory bandwith/speed of memory becomes the bottleneck for both the CPU and the GPU.
Good change that the game engine can be optimized more in this area then it currently is but only Anet can be conclusive in answering this.

THeres something wrong with the Reflections setting it seem, enabling it gives a small fps loss, thats not the main problem, but the game suddenly stutters while my fps maybe only dropped by 3 fps with enabling reflections on ALL,it’s feels weird so i rather disable reflections all together and then my game feels smoother, while basically having the same fps.I can even use supersample if i disable reflections ( you wont even notice that reflections is disabled btw, normal reflections still work ). I really really think arenanet still needs to optimize the crap out of this game, plus some support from nvidia would sure fix this to allow us with higher end systems to finally take benefit from this.
Your right about that and im pretty sure it is the priority for Anet at the moment.
Its like with the launch of ‘Rage’ id soft was banking on the driver versions they received internally from ATi and nvidia to be available to the public at the launch of their game. The game and the driver was developed in co-op with both nvidia and ati intensivly.
It def. looks like this is still not finished and not every config is acounted for considering the wide range of results people are getting like some having great perofrmance like myself and others with the same or even better hardware have worse performance.
The reflections on my system are on full and make a huge huge difference in visuals compared to low even let alone off. if anyone has no issues with reflections on full i say leave them on for sure.
‘Reflections’ do not just pertain to water or mirrors or obvious things like that it is in effect all over the gameworld.
Im having the same issue and i remember while watching yogscast that it was a issue in the beta as well. So far the only way to keep your pet named is to make only one name and leave it to be displayed for all your pets.
PS. the name for my shark seems to stick but all my landbased pets keep switching to the new name or the default one. It seems land based pets and water pets names at least.

I jut set the clock to default 830mhz including the memory which was @2103 back to 2004mhz but i did not see any improvement in fps in my case.

GTX560ti here clocked to 976mhz on 605.02, no problems.
What the hell is 605.02? and I had mine clocked at 950 and got issues, downclocked to 850 and got 10-20 more fps.
I don’t know what’s going on.
605.02 was supposed to be the driver version ,wrong numbers tho it should be 306.02 ,was late i was tired i made a boo boo. I will lower my OC and see if it improves anything im curious now but im getting 50 to a 100/110 fps with my current setup regardless.

All i know is that there is or at least they where talking about a SLI profile. Havent heard anything specific about crossfire so far but as long as there is no support for it lower perfomance in CF mode is quite usual. Dont use CF for the time being or maybe if your.
Then again i dont keep up on ATI as much and a CF profile has been mentioned already , who knows.

Yes which is why i gave you sound advice :

I don’t need your holier than thou advice. I need my GW2 to work
tbh it is ‘smawter then thou’ advice
fix it yourself, i did.

What’s so ridiculous?
Basically the game is running much worse on Nvidia GPUs than their AMD equivalent.
Also if you have high end Nvidia hardware such as 680GTX running in SLI expect performance to be WORSE then running a single card. There are also many reports of just bad performance on 600 series cards in the Low FPS thread. There are many issues at the moment with Nvidia cards.
6x series does indeed have issues specific to it. The same problem with the 6x cards has been going on in TWS since its launch.
Same goes for SLI setups. If it is not yet supported or support for SLI is not finalized you get worse performance as usual .

There are more people out there who have no such issue and dont see the need to post about how well it runs. The ones who have issues , post about it. So no the majority is not having issues and if you own a nvidia card it does not garantee problems.

No really….??
You where the one claiming that no nvidia card runs this game properly.
lol…
or just stop at 2) and be done with it unless superstition is your thing.
Reflections is off cause it’s pointless anyway I think.
The reflections is one of the main features that make this game look so ffin gorgeous. I tried setting it one notch under the max to see how many fps i gained but the look of it made a world of a difference. Once i set it back to max the game looked amazing again.
It looks quite mediocre with them on low or off.
The reflections option does not just effect water it effects everything everywhere.
Welcome to Guild Wars 2
Why do you even post?
@op
The TP is working fine for me and most others as long as it hasnt been taken down for patches. There are still issues that some might run into where others do not ,hence the frequent patches. Give it a few days and it will normalize.

So you are running MCE drivers ?
I would go to Nvidia.com for the 306.02 driver (+10fps boost) or AMD.com if i where you and get a proper driver installed.
The reason why that solved your issue is more likely because of a reboot.
Very doubtfull that it is the game client that is causing your BSOD’s. Mostly they occur because of hardware issues not software issues.
So do what searias said and also do a memcheck , restore you overclocks on your cpu and gpu(s) ,check hdd’s for errors ..etc and go from there.
Well that’s what i told people in the start but BSOD also apear in driver errors ALOT. And in this case. 20-50% of the posts on the Tech Support forum, is about BSOD, Black screen crashes, freezing computer etc etc. I’ll put my money on the graphic drivers won’t cooperate with GW2 or the other way around
.
“Swag” found a temporary solution to Crashes on some computers. If you downlclock your GFX 10-20%, it should prevent the crashings. No promises though!
Yeah true but those driver errors are caused by hardware conditions. One evening between 2 patches on the game client about 1.5 hours in between those 2 patches the 2 fans on my gfx card went to 100% untill my driver crashed and i had to reboot. I had done this 5 times but each time i launched GW2 the fans went to 100% (not on other games i tested then) and it only started happening directly after the last client patch that night and kept doing it until the next patch about a hour or more later.
A overheating CPU or GPU can and will cause BSODS, downclocking helps prevent this which is why i suggested exactly that already in my earlier post.

I to have thought we should be able to re-arange skills 2 3 and 4. For the others i see no point as those are what make this skill system uniform.
Thats what i was looking for indeed , ty.
Windows 7 – 64 bit, 16GB DDR3 1600 RAM, i7 920, 1TB HD, 1920 × 1080 22" , x2 SLI GTX 560, and a 1’000w PSU.
I like playing games like Crysis, Battlefield, and CoD. So yeah my computer is kind of over kill when it comes to this game.
I was thinking about adding a 560 to my rig for SLI (second hand one) does SLI still need the exact same model and does SLI still suffer from microstuttering ?
At first i thought the feature had been delayed since i did not see any option for it in the game anywhere and is not mentioned much anywhere else either but i just saw it mentioned in here somehwere and a link to reddit that was supose to explain it but the link is dead.
so how do i use it ?
41. If you’re low on coin, somewhere out in the wild, and need to reach a major city, you can get there for free by entering any of the four WvW maps (open the menu for that with [B]). You will spawn next to an Asura Gate to Lion’s Arch. (Don’t do this if there’s a queue… not only would it mean extra wait time, you would also take up a queue slot of someone who legitimately wants to WvW.)
Why Q up for WvW if you can do it by going to the hearst mist (sPvP) instantly and do just that.

Nice video. I was playing my warrior in PvP last night and ran into a thief who just loved those vanishing skills. He would vanish all the time and he won. I never even thought of just spamming the auto attack skill.
He was probably just conditioning himself to his new skill setup, i do that too.
