I disagree. I think Jeremy Soule’s music is very evocative, particularly his pieces for the Elder Scrolls series. That piece by Jack Wall is hardly ‘iconic’, it’s just one big generic, space themed crescendo. And if you’re going to try and slam possibly the most revered band of all time in a backhanded comment, at least spell ‘The Beatles’ correctly.
Equalizing popularity with quality shows just how shallow people really are.
Jeremy soul copy/pastes his own music each and everytime in every game. even in GW2 you can hear 1:1 pieces of morrowind/oblivion and skyrim and not just little pieces but the meat of the older tracks. Like i said 1:1. its shamelessly copied and anyone willing to be honest about it would agree as it is unmistakable. someone should make a youtube comparison , then no one would be able to deny it anymore.
Oblivion had 1:1 tracks from morrowind ,skyrim had 1:1 tracks from morrowind and oblivion, GW2 has 1:1 tracks taken from morrowind,obvlivion and skyrim

With skyrim the main track “dovhakin” was so revered (and rightfully so) and most atribute this to jeremy soul. Problem is though that jeremy had little to do with the creation of the track other then the technical side of things. It was the main director that was responsible for that specific track. The rest was just once again a copy paste job by jeremy of his previous work while switching a few instruments out for others and change the BPM of the tracks.
Most gamers just repeat his name and hail it because they dont know any better and it is the only game musicians name they know and therefore he must be great !

I’ve been a classical musician for more than half my life, and I’m a huge fan of Soule’s work. If you had at all listened to all 4 GW1 soundtracks, you would not be rattling off your overly exaggerated opinion as fact. Re-using and re-combining themes and motifs is not the same as copy and pasting. The musically trained call it “Theme and variations”, a legitimate compositional form used by many great classical composers including Beethoven(see symphony #5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4IRMYuE1hI).

What soule does is far away from theme and variations since his ‘theme and variations are 1:1 the same outside of different instruments and pace and his ’’theme and variations’’ <lol i cant even say that with a straight face in this case
he has used 1:1 on every single game he has worked on. Like i explained he is not the one who composed the main theme song for skyrim and coincidentally it is about the only track that is not a straight morphed copy of soule’s previous work simply because he did not create it.
I’m not claiming that Soule is talentless but lazyness and missing creativity i do so easily attribute to him.

I did the same what you plan to do and that is roll a thief yourself. The only true counter against a HS focused thief is luck, as in try and roll and dodge whenever you expect him to pop HS. Anything after that is rendered ineffective against it.
It does work sometimes and when it does you can kill them as long as you cc them quickly.
Confirmed for terrible PvP player with terrible below average reflexes. Luck? You can see when Heartseeker is comig duo to the animation and dodge! IT IS THAT EASY!

Thief was my first profession and will always remain my main, in ever game I play I play the Thief/Rogue/Assassin first and the Black Magic profession second. That would be the Necromancer in Guild Wars 2.

The sound itself is not really the problem but the sheer volume of it is. If i could avoid it i would but my most effective pvp build needs one
How about the warrior buff of which i do not remember the name “for justice , for justice for justice for justice…..and so on and so forth..”
It actually does – outside cinematics, and besides actually using skills, if there’s someone behind the camera you’ll hear the sound coming from your back speakers, or center if directly infront of you, as well as left and right depending on where obviously.
So yes it does support 5.1 not sure about 7.1 since I havent got a setup for that, but certainly 5.1
Where as when in cinematics, everything just comes out of all the speakers, same thing with using skills

It does not have have real surround sound all it has is matrixed surround which is why it sounds of and different everywhere. Voice in game can come from behind yes but turn the camera around and you will find that they do not pan correctly and there is no real sense of distance.
So whats with the horrible nvidia drivers and game optimization

How will control panel help with framerates?
I know a few guildies who claim they run at 100+ even in WvW, running i5 2500k @ around 4.2 and 600 series cards. I am running 3570k @ 4.5 and heavily OCed 670, and not getting nearly as high as that. Hovering around 60-70 ish. 50 in WvW.
When it comes to the control panel , setting things back to default solves A LOT of issues for most ppl.
As for 100FPS in WvW even @4.5ghz and a gtx 670/80 no one will be getting 100FPS at full or even medium settings in a keep battle , not with Havok physics engine running no way,unless they are looking up into the sky constantly .

I see these low GPU usage complaints threads in EVERY MMO FORUMS.
Those with low end CPUs always do the same song and dance.

Guess what guys? MMOs have always been very CPU dependent. It’s not possible for your 5 year old dual core to give you smooth FPS when there are tons of characters PVPing on your screen. Just not possible.
You are seeing low GPU usage because your GPU is being bottlenecked by the CPU. Your GPU is not getting enough stuff to work on because everything passes through your CPU so slowly.Now if you have a decent, modern CPU and GPU but still having unreasonably low FPS, it’s probably
- Heat issue, very common in laptops. CPUs self throttle to prevent damage when it reaches a certain threshhold. Usually around 90c to 100c.
- Misconfiguration. This can include outdated/incompatible drivers, bad Windows settings, Anti-virus software, or just too many programs running in the background.
- Broken hardware.
I know this game has many bugs. But as far as optimization is concerned, this game has it pretty good compared to other recently released MMOs like SWTOR and Tera.

Get 8gb , trust me. Do not listen to the age old “4gigabite is enough and anything over it is wasted” line. “Hostile” above me here also points it out.
go for a i5 that has a unlocked multiplier like a 2500K default 3.4ghz (mine runs on 4.5ghz but is able to go higher ) world of a difference. A i7 is the same as a i5 basically but supports hyperthreading, now there is something that is unused in game and with it turned on you get lower OC’s anyway and its all about clockspeed, hypedUPthreading is not going to make your games run any better .
adding a SSD will make a world of a difference too. My load times in GW2 are about 5 to 6 seconds. In other games 1 second like in mass effect 1,2,3 iall i see is a flash of the loading screen for instance and windows boots up in 12 seconds on my setup and i usually have about 5 games installed hat i currently play which is more then enough.

a 3ghz intel is about as fast as a 2.3 intel and you dont want 2.4ghz you will want 3.2 at least and overclockable at that (my intel i5 2500k runs at 4.5 and is as easy to do as flicking a switch)
Also more cores is not more better
4 cores tops anything above that goes unused unless your using some high end specialised software

in my experience nvidia has the least issues and best mid and high range performance
MEM
8gb will do you fine i got 16gb but i use it for music production software aswell , 1333 or 1600 would be fine no need to get the higher speed memory at all.

Yep, that is right folks… my gpu usage around 70 per cent when i launch gw2 and dont tell me its about my hardware because it wasnt like that since “head start” but (i didnt use my pc for 10 hours because i was sleeping) then sh.t happened!! so idk what i gonna do, do u have any idea about that?
