I really think dungeons need to drop exclusive skins as well. Maybe town clothes skins too! There’s hardly any incentive to do them if you hate the set bought with tokens.

Anyways, I think I remember anet saying mounts wouldn’t happen AT LAUNCH. They have never said a definite NO. Fingers crossed!

Could you imagine the uproar if Devs came into every suggestion thread and flat out told your that your idea wasn’t going to be implemented? There would be SO much crying. Unless they were cute about it and quoted gw2 characters:

Player: " So thats why we should have precursors falling from the sky! Come on guys we need a plan of action!"

Dev: “I’m not arguing the need for a plan, your plan is just stupid and wont work!”

Excuse my ignorance, but how exactly is " doing multiple paths in the same instance" an exploit? I’m not sure I understand whats being done here.

But I do agree that there is far too much short cutting in gw2 dungeons. I’m always saying ‘lets do this legit guys, I want to be challenged.’ Heck, half the time the set up for one of these exploits usually causes more grief then killing a boss normally.

Just to clarify what I mean by active:
I am not looking for a massive guild that happens to have 20 members online because their roster is so full. I’m looking for a guild that does dungeons together, events, and guild missions during the daytime hours listed above. (I’m willing to transfer servers for your guild if we fit. But it has to be NA)

I’m an experienced Mesmer, looking to be a part of a community again. I’m not looking for a huge zerg guild, but I am looking for a nice body of players who are still excited about the game and want to enjoy all it’s content.

Why does no one do them? Temple of balth is ALWAYS contested.

Please DRASTICALLY increase the loot on these events. No one ever does them. The harder / more time consuming the event, the better the loot.

This game has no raiding, please give us pvers something to DO and make it worth our while. Doing a 15 minute guild bounty once a week with my guild is not enough.

Why do I have no control over where my clones are placed?

Why do my clones run into melee range and get themselves instantly killed when their abilities have 1200 range on them? o.O

1) If 90 percent of players do not want mounts then why are there so many threads about mounts day after day?

2) Stated in my earlier posts, the point of mounts are not for travel, but for Rp, vanity and play.

Just because I enjoy riding a horse doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy GW2…

I’m playing GW2 because it’s vastly superior than any other MMORPG out there.. but I do miss riding around on my mount. It was a very fun, peaceful part of my day.

I’m not suggesting we replace way points with mounts or anything..I’m just saying I’d like a horse to ride around on.

yes they do add to the game. They add immersion, and companionship for RPers. They add collectables for achievement hunters…

mounts would put more players out in the world. There are players that lvoe to ride around on a horse, just like me. Nothing bad can come from giving an option for mounts. Why no?

The purpose of this thread is to talk about things you’d love to see in gw2, whether they are plausible or not. Please no flaming other peoples ideas.

So…what would you add to gw2?

1. I’d add customizable ground mounts.

Why? Because I’ve always loves galloping around on my trusty steed in every RPG I’ve played. I really miss my mount in gw2.

I know the way-point system is in place for fast travel and a gold sink, but I really do not see the harm in allowing ground mounts that travel across the map no faster than say….an Ele with his/her speed boosts on.

I also think it would be cool to allow people to customize color, breed, spots, mane, braids…etc of their mounts. Makes things more personalized.

So what would you add?

After about 20 exotics I saved my gold and bought it off the TP.

Mesmer has tons of utility and a load of builds that are viable. The only thing it’s lacking is the speed you desire, which can be remedied by either having a focus on hand and / or using runes of air.

I am so sick and tired of not getting any loot in DE situations because I can’t do the amount of dmg that other classes can do. The fact that dmg done is the way rewards are distributed is really stupid since some of us want to be support.

We get punished for ressing and throwing up boons instead of going full zerker glass. It sucks!

I’ve paid attention to mob tagging and loot for a while now in Cursed Shore and these things I know to be true:

1. MF does effect the loot you get, incredibly so.
2. You get better loot in a party.
3. The more dmg you do, the mroe mobs you tag / get loot on.
4. The faster you do dmg, the more likely you are to tag. For example, if I run into a group when the mobs are half dead and use whirling axe on a warrior, I’m not going to be able to loot the same amount of mobs I would have if I’d caught them at 100% health and I was the first person to hit them.

I’ve tested this on my mesmer and warrior. I never bring my mesmer to cursed shore anymore because there is no point. She hardly ever gets tags and if she does, they’re whites. Meanwhile my dual axed / GS warrior gets 10+ rares a day. Doing the same thing.

This needs to stop. This is broken and needs a fix. I really hope whatever they are addressing takes supporting classes into account.

Mesmers wielding bows would make me seriously nerdgasm. PLEASE. Short or long IDC just DO IT.

My favorite thing to do in this game is run dungeons.
I want to use primarily a staff as my weapon.

I’d like to find a staff build that will help my group out. I don’t care if it’s support, shatter, condition dmg, boon duration..just something that doesn’t make me feel like I’m wasting a spot in my party. 9/10 I feel like I should bring my warrior and I don’t want to feel like that. I want my party to be glad i brought my mesmer.

Any advice on builds, gearing, rotations will help me greatly.

If you really must resort to buying a legendary, than you don’t really deserve one. I understand people have lives outside of GW2, but if you can’t put the time in, then you shouldn’t have one. Legendary weapons are for the most dedicated players who have put countless hours into the game, simply buying one defeats that purpose, and makes the accomplishment null & void.

If this were true they wouldn’t be sellable on the TP.

If you want a fast efficient dungeon run then join a guild that specializes in running dungeons.

Why was the last mount thread closed?

A Mod redirected my original thread (now closed) to [https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Mount-and-speed-boost/page/2#post1919124[/url] only to have it closed without explanation. Where the heck do you want us to post about mounts if you close all the threads about them?

So I’m opening a new single thread, because players do want mounts, and we deserve to have an active thread open about it! Here goes:

A lot of gamers, myself included consider collecting mounts their endgame. Also, I miss that soothing feeling I’d get in other mmos when I’m just riding around on my mount, minding my own business and I could hear it’s hooves galloping away especially when paired with epic in game music such as gw2s. Gw2 is a wonderful game, and mounts would make it a 10 in my eyes

I know that we have way points, and mounts are not necessary but it’s just one of those things that make the game for some people. (There are a ton of things in game right now that aren’t needed but people love to have!) I’m not asking for huge ridiculous armored mounts that block your vision. I’m looking for graceful horses that come in many colors (for uniqueness) and maybe have different mane / tail options for people to chose from.

I know people are really worried about people standing on top of npcs with their mounts, and that’s a legitimate concern. I don’t want mounts to disrupt anyone’s game play so I suggest we disallow mounts in major cities and large quest hubs. There could even be a stable outside cities for flavor (maybe even an instanced personal story-esque stable where you could park your horse and pay a lil fee for them to hold it with some cool dialogue!). Stand alone NPCs could have an invisible barrier that dismounts anyone that comes close enough or something.

I know there are many people opposed to mounts, but there are also lots of gamers like me who really really want them. I think if both sides put their heads together we could come up with a solution that could appease everyone!

My idea was to have collectable mounts for open world, and also have battlemounts for wvw.

The battlemounts would be given to all players, would have a slight speed increase. I think it would help for lowbies to keep up with the group, or for mesmers who dislike using a focus. It would put everyone on the same playing field speed-wise. So many time on my lowbies I get left behind by the zerg
Battlemounts armor would represent the color your server is that week and there could be more extravagant looking options later for purchase with badges that have your guild banner draped on them. They would still have the same speed though the higher your rank the cooler your mount would look.

Collectable mounts I see as a slower, unarmored horses for riding around leisurely. There could be an array of colors to chose from and later you could unlock visual upgrades like saddles, reigns and things aviable in the gem store or maybe through achivement points. There could be exclusive mounts that only drop off certain content. The possibilities are endless!

Anet please consider mounts, and please leave this thread open as you’ve closed all the others…

I love the changes and I’m seriously considering making a thief just so i can use this bow.

Actually, I play a pve mesmer.

I play PvE mesmer as well using staff and scepter/focus as my weapons. It is true that the AoEs in the weapons itself are not highly prevalent but all shatters are AoEs as well. They have about same radius as untraited lava font has.

I’ve focused on clone generation which means I can push out both mind wrack and cry of frustration with three clones both pretty much the moment I open battle. This means that in events I hit most of the enemies in a group since they like to hug. Additionally I can drop chaos storm and phantasmal warden for extra AoE damage.

I understand that is it POSSIBLE to aoe on a mesmer. The problem is the amount of time / set up. Especially since other classes can hit 1 spell and do equal or more dmg.
