YaReQ.4632, nicely done. Of yours, these are my fave three (the second one makes me think of Thanos – by the way, can you identify the armor skins, as well as the dyes in each channel – I’m curious about that):
1)https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/187638/gw476.jpg

3)https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/187644/gw505.jpg
As for the others, the “total aesthetic”, consisting of:
1) Location and posing
2) Armor and weapon(s)
3) Dye combinations
Here are my top five from this thread (since my last post on 4/1/15):

That last one makes me want to COMPLETELY make-over my Char to a lion. Honorable mention for making a GIF and that HAT:

Tsk tsk. There you go again assuming they’re bringing SAB back. Here’s what most people will expect when you do that:
Not true – I have 3 characters (warrior, guardian, mesmer) with 100% map completion…only did the JPs on one of my characters. I feel your pain though. JPs were NOT easy the first few times I did them (Skipping Stones, anybody?). However, enough people kept saying they were easy that it confused me.
I believe what people meant was that once they conquered them and figured out the proper places to jump from and land on, they BECOME easy. I was persistent, f-bombing WAY too many times until I learned them. I literally screamed at the top of my lungs in frustration. However, after LEARNING them, I can see how people can claim they aren’t difficult.
Here are two things that helped me:
http://dulfy.net/2012/09/16/gw2-jumping-puzzles-guides-guild-wars-2/
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/guild-wars-xpadder-profile-for-t10503600.html
It took me about a month before I was able to tweak my controller JUST right…and even after a year or so of gameplay, I changed some configurations. The key was setting the proper the stick sensitivity. With a 360 controller, the JPs are WAY easier.
Good luck whatever you do. I understand your frustration.
by them time very many people would reach that many achievement points
The first people are already getting close…it’s not impossible, I used to bullseye womprats in my T-16 back home…they’re not much bigger than 2 meters.
https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/na/achievements
there will probably be another more prestigious armor skin.
That’s the point. Or would you rather they wait until people achieve all the things until they make more things to achieve?
Question…
While I’m on it if I have a sword with 25 bloodlust on it and swap it out to a scepter with a bloodlust sigil on it why do I lose my stacks?
Statement with subtext of “play how I want but the rules aren’t good enough”…
I never fight underwater and purposely avoid it most of the time by swimming on the top. It’s only a few gold granted but spread over 8 alts it doesn’t seem to make sense
Question answered…
I still don’t get the issue…It’s only a few gold granted but spread over 8 alts it doesn’t seem to make sense
Conclusion…
You know the answer but you still want to complain. This is about gold…gold you can farm. Stop whining and solve your own problem that isn’t actually a problem.
To much help please stawwwp

Just do bobblehead.
Not through the hero panel…and not through the bank they way you mean @Pyrate. I know the wardrobe changes. I’m talking about looking at the panel when you look in the bank (not collections like they used to be pre-wardrobe transition).
Yeah, I wouldn’t bank on being able to get the Mini Infirarium ever again. And the Llama is only for spvp. The mystical dragon seems to only be a China thing (an exclusive item for VIP China players). Moto and Miya will probably be back whenever SAB comes back.
See, I thought that too about the Infinirarium, but then they didn’t remove these three that were totally associated with it:
A) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Snowman
B) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Festive_Golem
C) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Foostivoo_the_Merry
Just sayin’…it’s odd.
Hey guys, I just saw this. I started working on collecting minatures a long time ago and have acquired 273 of them (right now it say there are 286 total, but I KNOW there were 291 not so long ago). Previously, when you viewed them through the Account Vault (you have to go to a banker – NOT through the Hero panel), you could view all of them including any you were missing. Now, it appears they have removed 5 of the ones I am missing…all of which I’m totally holding out hope that perhaps they will be in the upcoming HoT expansion. Here are the five:
1) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Infinirarium
2) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Llama
3) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Moto
4) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Mystical_Dragon
5) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Princess_Miya
Now, I know what you may be thinking: 1, 2, and 4 are special rewards intended to be limited in scope while 3 and 5 are SAB. I can only hope this means SAB returns soon, as well as those other minis becoming available to the entire player base (not much hope, but still…it’s nice to dream).

what i was asking is if this is a common occurrence that ANet is able to take action against.
No, it’s not common. It’s never happened to me. And if it was common, you’d see a LOT more posts like this on the forum.
Nope – I totally get it. It’s tough at first, but you get used to it.
It’s unfortunate because I totally get that Anet is working on the expansion, but it would seem like a quick win to re-release all of these skins. Everybody wants skins and they’ve already done the work. Perhaps it’ll come out with the expansion. Check my signature for a forum post on “Missing Wardrobe Skins” that are currently unobtainable but were at one point. While they’re at it, they should make available those few skins you can only get through character creation – THAT is ridiculous.

I have four 80s; mesmer, Guardian, thief and elementalist that I man using a controller and have no issues playing any content in the game ( pve, spvp, jp, dungeons, wvw.)
I’ve been playing warrior, guardian, and mesmer with Xpadder. I’ve found that the warrior is SO easy because he doesn’t typically need ground-targeting, and guardian is also relatively easy. Mesmer I’ve found is a little tougher.
How do you deal with ground-targeting? I can’t imagine what an elementalist would be like, but I want to play one after I finish with mesmer.
OP: what could the Anet devs possibly do that would be any better than what you can do with Xpadder?
I play on a 360 controller with Xpadder and have been for over two years. I STILL find better ways to customize my controls. My point: Anet devs aren’t going to be able to do ANYTHING that makes my experience better with a controller – only I can do that.
Normally I hate these threads…particularly because there is no “upvote” feature like Reddit. However, I have mained a warrior for the last 2.5 years (since I started playing), and I decided to look through every post. I’ll upload “glamour pics” of my warrior later, but in the mean time I picked out my top five in this thread based on what I’m referring to as the “total aesthetic”, consisting of:
1) Location and posing
2) Armor and weapon(s)
3) Dye combinations
I believe if people REALLY tried, they could make them look a heck of a lot cooler in most cases. Again, these are just my top five from this thread (as of THIS post):
1)https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/60307/My-Warrior.jpg
2)https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/76703/Gw2_Portrait.jpg

Honorable mention for armor and dye (they REALLY needed to put this in a better location and pose properly rather than just the menu view). I put it here because the armor and dye combo just look AWESOME:
https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/186528/gw369.jpg
Warrior is the most straightforward class, so if you want something simple that’s still effective, that’s the way to go.
Agreed. Always roll warrior first – it allows you to make the most mistakes and still recover relatively easily. Plus, you’ll get better as you play, meaning you’ll be able to better play other classes after learning the game play on warrior.
Many of us have multiple characters, yet were limited to just one Endless Skritt Burglar Tonic from the achievement. So I figured hey, why not post a suggestion.
Can we get an option to buy Endless Skritt Burglar Tonics with Crests after we have completed the jumping puzzle? I personally want to have another one just so I don’t have to keep bank transferring my only tonic every single time I want to use it.
As for price, it may as well be the same as the other 3 tonics available for purchase in the Silverwastes. 800 Crests + 1 gold.
It wouldn’t hurt anyone either, since they’re account bound.
I’d sooner see them add all tonics to the wardrobe as outfits.
I don’t know if you guys remember or not, but this zone used to have a rich orichalcum node at the top of the cave in the far west. Bringing that back alone would repopulate the area a bit. There used to be organized runs to it.
I’m looking for a mmo to fill the time before HoT drop, how is GW1 right now? Is it still fun? Also HoM reward is another goal for me, which one do I buy? I’m thinking Platinum edition which contain EoTN, do I have to buy Nightfall/faction?

Mini Colin Johanson with a giant bobble head.
Everyone here has agreed: block, report, and move on. Most of the players don’t act like that – ignore the bad apples.
My votes go to Choo and Jadon on TC. They are definitely up there as some of the best commanders in WvW.
Ranger. This needs to be removed: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Point_Blank_Shot
I just want them to offer some of the ones they’ve sold for gems in the past again. I’ve started working on collecting them all, and I’m only missing 18. They’re all either gem purchases, or special acquire.
Forgive me because I never took economics in college, but doesn’t this completely ignore supply and demand, and therefore the values would pretty quickly reset themselves roughly to how they are now?
… but what would seem difficult is trying to do something like strafe + turn camera + use skill all at the same time.
Honestly, it’s not as difficult as you may think…
What now? Complete map? Grind armor? (btw ive no clue how to craft armor can someone give me some tips please)
This.
http://dulfy.net/2012/10/25/gw2-halloween-patch-explorer-achievements-guide/
Is playing GW2 with a controller even possible? Since I don’t own a console and never will, I can’t comprehend how you’re supposed to keybind 10 different skills to only 8 or so buttons. And how do you even chat with a controller? Are there really people capable of writing whole sentences within 1.5 seconds on a controller? You don’t get much more time than that during an event.
Also I could imagine that ground-targeting on console is really difficult, but then again there are people capable of playing shooters on console, so the stick must be somewhat capable of replacing a mouse.
You basically bind a “shift” button to one or more buttons on your controller and VOILA! instant second/third/fourth/etc set of buttons.
I still use the mouse and keyboard when I’m in towns, but I use the controller for all fights. It’s WAY easier than you might think. I personally mapped my controls very similar to Halo Reach.
The only reason to port this to a console (as far as I can tell) is to have the ability to use a controller. You can do that. Register on the below forum and see this page. I use an Xbox 360 controller with 1 button each mapped to 1 function, in order to coincide with Anet’s policies. Btw, the xpadder app is free and fully customizable and you can save unlimited templates.
FYI Chris,
Pretty much all players agree with you as this has been requested multiple times. The devs have remained quiet on this, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they add this at some point. By now, they should have a HUGE QoL list.
I agree with you as well, btw.
I thought it would be cool if instead of dropping ascended rings, they dropped ascended TICKETS/TOKENS. That way, you can choose what you want, if you want to use them, and the tokens would STACK. Hell, even make it another type of currency in the wallet. Include accessories and amulets from the vendor. Elegant, permanent solution.
But doesn’t Pristine do just that?
Yeah, but I think SonOfJacob wants an “Ascended ring box” to drop rather than a ring itself. Wherein if the RNG deems you lucky enough to receive a box, you get to choose any ring (rather than having to save up 10 Pristine Fractal Relics.)
I, personally, think Pristine relics are a great compromise. After 10 sets of Fractals, you can choose whatever un-infused ring you want. (Or, if you get lucky and have your ring drop, you can convert them to regular fractal relics to help you afford the Gift of Ascension.)
Yes, this was my point. So, for example, if Pristine Relics are the answer…just substitute Pristine Relics for Rings. So anytime you WOULD get a Ring drop, you get a Pristine Relic instead. The point is that the “currency” has more value merely because it’s stackable and you get a choice of the attributes you choose.
Now don’t get me started about not being able to convert Relics BACK to Pristine Relics…the whole thing is ridiculous…just make everything purchasable priced in regular Relics, and Pristine Relics just get double-clicked to add to the wallet. It’s net is the same effect, except they get to be stored in the wallet.
whats stoping you from having 250 pristine relics in the bank thats 1 bank slot if they ever add anything you need to buy for pristine relics?
Nothing is stopping me. It’s just QoL. I think they did such a great job with the wallet, I’d like to see it either expanded or simplified. Relics vs Pristine Relics is an example of a simplification opportunity. Plus, this has been floating around for a while now:

Agreed 100%. They should port over the weapons…ALL the weapons. Anthony Lopes is a friend of mine…and he won in BOTH competitions:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Design-a-Weapon_
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Design-a-Weapon_%282007%29
I’m contemplating buying a weapon skin for about 240 gold, but I’m thinking to my self do I really want to blow that much on a skin for 1 weapon. It got me thinking how much have or would people pay for a skin. Some of the skins cost more than legendary precursors.
For the most part, I buy the GS skins when they are released. Typically, they go for between 60-70 gold before supply runs out and they skyrocket. I choose GS skins specifically because I use those on my characters more than any other weapon. I have some nice staff skins as well.
Never saw such topic, so don’t bite if it’s here already.
The game wouldnt be “p2w” for most people. You’d have to do everything by yourself-no shortcuts for those who “don’t have enough time to farm money for legendary”.
What do You guys think?
I’m what I consider a casual/serious player. I’m about to hit 16.5k AP and have been playing since two months after launch. I dump real money into this game since it’s my main form of personal entertainment (outside of blurays and, oh yeah, real people/friends/family).
They shouldn’t change this feature because, simply put, they would lose money. I convert gems to gold occasionally to get in-game cool skins/new dyes/etc. I don’t have time to farm because I live the majority of my life in the real world. This just helps me get cool stuff…not beat the game.
Also, I have six sets of Ascended armor – 2 Zerker, 2 Sentinel, 1 Valkyrie, and 1 Cleric. Sure, spending real money helps me get these things, but I had to craft them all at level 500…so it’s not like I’m not putting in what I consider a reasonable amount of time. But Ascended armor has something like .5% more effectiveness than Exotic armor…the weapons are worth it, but the armor is totally not from an effectiveness scale.
Also, I have ONE Legendary…which I farmed before I started putting in real world money…Legendaries are just for status – I did it for the skin (Flameseeker Prophecies). Shields are relatively useless. I think your concern is more of a gripe than a legitimate point.
Someone already created a mock-up of an improved wallet. Check this out:

Note the Grid View at the left.
FYI, there is a MASSIVE list already in progress on this: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Collection-Wardrobe-Skin-Bugs-Anomalies/first
Have you considered adding a “missing attribute” armor/weapon/trinket section?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Item_nomenclature#Triple_attribute
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Equipment_acquisition_by_statsDefine “missing attribute”.
The inability to craft certain combinations or get them on certain pieces of equipment is probably not an oversight.
It may or may not be an oversight, but it sure is annoying to not be able to complete an ascended Sentinel set for trinkets (as an example).
Therefore all you want is me to not do what I’m doing now which is doing all 3 things at the same time but you want others to specialize in different builds so I have to look for other ppl with specialized builds if I’m not playing one. This is wrong and creating such a role focused gameplay will backfire because trust me, in terms of trinity gameplay we have much better titles on the market already.
This game is better (for me) because it’s different.
Agreed. Interestingly, I read this part of the comment and the word “specialized” stood out to me. I thought of two upcoming things in the expansion:
1) https://heartofthorns.guildwars2.com/en/?_ga=1.100927937.1947409418.1422993689#section-masteries
I don’t understand why people say they want endgame content. Is it a sense of “finally I finished” so you can go on and do another game?
I love this game BECAUSE there is no official “end game”. I do as many achievements as I can, map completion, collect skins, play PvP and WvW, and do guild stuff (leveling up characters, guild missions, world boss train, dungeons, fractals, etc). I also work on ascended armor and weapons for alts, and learn new professions – and each profession has different build needs for PvE, PvP, and WvW. Then there’s just going through the game with the highest resolution and just APPRECIATING the art!!!
I’ve been playing for almost 3 years and I haven’t run out of things I’d like to do in this game – and I don’t play other games. I think one of the best parts of the game was doing the achievements for the Halloween 2012 patch (link below). People don’t seem to want “end game” per se, but rather they just don’t want what the game has to offer – or spend time having fun with what it is. I’d like to know if there’s ONE person in all the game that has 100% map completion on ALL 8 professions, has mastered them in PvP and WvW and has done level 50 fractals with each of them. At that point, sure, you’re pretty much done until the expansion comes out.
PS. I particularly enjoyed Forsaken Fortune. I’d love to see more of this in the coming patch:

You know what would stop people from complaining? If the devs just put max power on every build outside of zerker. The zerker could still do max damage because of Precision and Ferocity, but other builds would do more damage than they do now.
It’s a horrible suggestion. But people would stop complaining.

THIS is pretty much what I expected when I clicked on the thread. Only one update needed: you hve Engineer listed twice in PvP, but no Guardian. I’m inclined to agree with pretty much all the ranking as well. I just need to create an Elementalist now…
(You can reach a bank, trading post, crafting or merchant by going to WvW).
Better to go to the PvP lobby for bank, TP, Laurels, and merchant…it’s always open (not queued).
