This is a simple shouts build with signets and healing. You can do damage, escape fast, dive into your opponent and cc them via gs 3 and 4, and then change to hammer to attack 3, 4, and f1, and easily change to gs again to repeat the process and hundred blades the downed.

Been using this for some time now and I rarely ever get killed unless my team does something too daring (Once to Thrice every game play of gw2).

Try it.

I have an extra axe which i use to stack bloodlust, but more often than not, this militia build does adequate damage and keeps the enemies on their toes. And a longbow for sieging the walls when necessary.

Simply people don’t know what they wish. And hardcore WVW want hard fights, but not everyone is hardcore, most are fairweather players. This is what I learned when people want something but don’t understand the consequence.

When was this patched to not see? Was it in a previous patch a long time ago?

more skins for the siege weapons would be nice. ;3

Something is wrong with the RNG if the matchup is measured this way because I doubt SOS and FA is enjoying fighting TC.

I was looking into the patch notes and didn’t see if we can see or not see on the enemy. And my guildmates says we can only see on our part but not the enemies’. I’d like to confirm.

where to get and how

Your options might be valkyrie/berserker ascended accessories.

Backpiece – fotm – can be upgraded to ascended. – cheep but takes time.
Backpiece – craftable – 70+g through mystic forge
Ascended amulet – only through laurels – there is only 1 berserker or valkerie ascende amu
Ascended rings – fotm – personal lvl 10 and above grants you 1 pristine – 10 of which can get you ring. or they drop from daily at personal lvl 10 or higher. You can only use 1 berserker or valkyrie with offensive slot and the other must be with defensive slot. You can’t use two rings with the same name.

Ascended earings – guildmission or laurels. Same as above, you cannot use two earing s with the same name, must be of 2 different names.

I love this dungeon and it is easy if you treat it like how you’d play fotm 40+ and above. You stack, to easily kill the mobs. You move together so that if your friend is downed, you can rally or sprint revive or heal. And take advantage of the cleric set – which maximizes heals/zerker trinkets – so you do good damge/or valkyrie. And melandru runes / food – 40 percent condition time really helps here.

It’s simply a learn to play issue not a must use a certain gear to win.

1. learn to play

3. no team work.

I love this dungeon. I wish fractals had more dungeons too.

Your gear is fine as is. I just resently changed to cleric – but from 1-48 i was knights and valkyrie. Since fotm – is toughness based, you should be fine.

But if you go pure berserker, you will have a hard time because the mobs are strong, and you will have like very low hp. So, it’s not advisable unless your team is very very good.

Since i mostly play pug games, i find knights/berserker/valkerie the best to finish it. Whereas cleric/berserker/valkyrie is a good alternative.

The above is what I use when things begin to become difficult. So i can spam shield and wall as the case need be.

we don’t know the changes yet; so until we it happens, we can only speculate. it might be or might not be what we think it is. but rest assured, warriors will always have a part to play in gw2.

I run almost the same build as you except I have staff and septer focus as my main. And I have a great sword to pull the mobs depending on the situation. (i have all guardian weapons) But i use staff the most and then septer focus in all things. I just transfer weapons for variety.

You need wall of reflection for swam bloom berg. And shield in that stage. You don’t necessarily have to change traits, but having those skills.

Same applies for dredge stage – fighting the mobs.
Same applies when fighting the fire shaman.
Same applies when fighting the harpies and the last boss of harpies stage.
You need stability buffs for the ice stage – fighting the ice elemental 2nd boss.
And shield and wall is helpful in fighting ascalonian mobs.

It is safe to say, you can have those skills in all fractals. And then you adjust what you need per experience dictates.

Your build is okay, but you have to change skills depending on the stage. And because you have 25 on virtues, you can change ii and ix to v and vii if the need for you to use shield of avenger and wall of reflection.

Also, I recommend having some sort of long range weapons because you cannot melee the boss all the time, especially in the 48 stage.

The siege – ac inside dawns is easy to hit via an ac on the right or leftside of the door. There is no need to use a zoom hack or anything on it. Now you know how to counter that AC inside the tower.

The ascended gear are good, but not necessary for us to enjoy wvw. As long as you have rare, least requirement, to exo; you will do fine.

But I do find it weird that it takes 40 laurel in wvw to buy earings as opposed to the accessory

CD has a lot and we’re fighting against them with equal or less numbers. We win some and we lose some. And they often would wipe us if they stuck together. But when the fight is long, and the endurance is faltering, they kind of spread out, which i think is like panicking, and it’s where we capitalize and kill the stragglers.

While I think being serious in WVW is okay, but sometimes, we have to remember to have fun too. And how do we measure fun might be different for other players. So, are the amount of time, money and effort they spend and we spend in making sure our hero is at his or her peak.

With that out of the way, I want to say thank you. Thank you for whooping on our PuGs and militia so brutally.

No, I don’t wish ill on them; just the opposite. I want everyone on SoS who does WvW to learn that all beserker gear doesn’t work. Want everyone in heavy armor fully decked out in PVT gear and running with consumables.

I want our newer commanders (even including myself in this one) to get used to communicating with their groups in Team Chat and learning to not fear repair bills.

I want people to download TS3 and actually use it, so that we aren’t typing “War and Peace” every 30 seconds just to take back a supply camp.

Because the last 2 weeks, we had excuses. “FA and TC are larger and BFF’s” or “SoR is just too big.”
With FA hitting hard times, we face the real possibility of taking their place if things get worse over there. That means that we should be facing you every week.

There’s no good reason, even with the overwhelming numbers, we should be down 80k by Monday.
Don’t get me wrong, we can’t beat you and we can’t match your coverage. However there is no reason for us to be losing like we are…other than fatigue and Zhaitaffy (ok, we deserve some slack..this time)

We’ll work on our end and since ANET just thinks we’re perfect for each other, we’ll work on putting on a better match next time (this week’s a wash already, but we’ll see if we can salvage it).

The good thing about the new sytem is everyone gets to feel strong and weak depending on the week; but the inconsistency might make WVW non-competitive. It will make our beloved sport, a past time.
