yes, i have a lot of sustain, but i lose 8k of hp, is it really worth?? i mean, transfusion heals 1,5k more than the soldier’s one; the vampiric traits are more or less the same
with soldier i feel to be immortal or quite so
i m using dagger/focus in MH,because of boon rip and retailiation, just because WH is not my fav weapon

hey, i m a pvp player.. i know that maybe i m not the best meter of judje, but i wanna share my point of views with you all, for the pvp:
1)reduce every invuln time.. 10 secs are too many ( 2 consecutively by 5 secs each other) , 6 for ranger is the same..
2)the condition burn has outplayed every other condi. Now is extremely powerfull, and bleeding is right now kinda useless.. burn has no sense, like 4 times more dangerous than bleeding and many professions who are not ele, necro and guardian just insta-die. More, every damage condition stacks now in intensity.. has no sense stacking more condi when the burn alone can kill anyone in few seconds..
in this manner bleeding should be deleted, and no one will feel the loss
3) stealth.. everybody can stealth.. should be a prerogative of thieves, instead, mesmer has more stealth, ranger has stealth, engi has stealth.. belance theese
the fights are all the same and there are 3 professions that do same thing with diferent choreography.. i don t know if after the expansion will change, but right now is a pain in the kitten fight against mesmer and guardian

SA wouldn’t be so bad if the traits lined up a little better and had a distinguished selection on how to use it rather than having all these traits basically hover on the same spec. As for acro, its mostly underperforming traits partly from the fact that we don’t get boon duration anymore.
i said that because in my point of wiev something like PU should be the suit for a thief, not for a mesmer
just think about it.. in the common view, is the assassin (thief) that should spam invisibility and attack from the shadow, not the mesmer ( + 100% stealth duration, while we have + 1 sec stealth duration).. i think that anet has distorted the idea, so, from my view of my favorite profession, protection and aegis fit us like a suit

yes, the attack is the best defense, still i can t always one shot people, and when i don t, i m deleted from: rampager warrior, shatter mesmer, D/D firing ele, burning guardian and iWIN botton ranger ( btw, after 3 years, rapid shot won t take the target off when u go stealth, and 12k damage in pvp against my marauder build is just ridicolous)…
acro, IMO, is not bad, i mean it’s not very usefull, but it can be improved a little to be competitive.. shadow art, instead, should be impronted in only defensive stats, giving the chance to obtain defensive boon.. 3 secs of aegis and protection should be enough
imo with those 2 boons u can play fine..
i have the impression that i have no windows of errors.. one wrong movement and i am gone, thus, in pvp where u can t always have the chance to stay out of the fight to reset it, with a couple of aoe u are out of games, and i think is not fair, and it s more true just seeing the last nerfs and buffs of survability of the top tier professions
against a good mesmer u can t win.. 25 stacks on vulnerability in 2 seconds, plus 12% damage plus shutter combo and farewell my friend.. a good ele can target u with 7/8 stacks of burn ( and after last buff on burn, u are down), same for guardian.. and plz, remeber the warrior.. one error against him and see above

after the last patch here you are what is happened: one build exists lacking completely on survability, no shadow art, no acrobatic. Right now thief can t do nothing wrong, but yes, the dmg is increased and panic strike is a secon tier trait
personally i can wreck necromancer with thief.. against a power necro my backstab deals 8-9k.
against minion mancer is everything more difficult but u can deal with him if you have some space to move
what i try to say is: the necro is a group fighter right now.. an innate tanky profession that shines in the middle of a 3v3, 2v2 ecc.. u can t be focus cause u are very hard to shot down.. maybe more than a guardian.. just think about a celemancer with full LF.. 43k of life adn 2500 of armor
i think too we need some other changes (life blast casting time for example) but i starting to be pleasured bout this necro

u can t stay in stealth for too much in pvp.. u are a weight for your team.. in wvw it s a cool build, but in pvp i prefer gank, burst and flee.
and, like said before, 3k of life more than marauder is not worth, cause ur dps will drop drastically
don t wanna cry on others professions, but the real problem is the absolute lack of any sort of protection, aegis or stability.. warriors can reach 8 secs of invulnerability.. guardians can do more or less the same thing and burn u to death

engi too has more defensive stuff than us
they should low the line down, not adding boons to other profession, or one day every profession will be the same.. every one will have all boons, will shot down everything ecc..
starting to stealth, it should be our prerogative.. instead seems it s a mesmer stuff..
ranger too has it, but has 1 kd, 1 fear, 1 immobilize and the win botton

N.B.: i really enjoy thief, and i have a good score, but i guess because i don t always play good players.. even on the paper we haven t much chance to win against some professions, we have to gank and outnumber foes
1v1 is meaningless and abused by stealth and tailored 1v1 builds. In Teamfights Necro should always be first target to focus down, because he has no escapes, no stability and is therefor easily shut down. You can still play successfully if you and your team knows this and you play accordingly. Downstate is also the most useless of all classes.
so, the task is to shut down the tank first? :\
A few players have already summed some points up but to recap:
- The recent patch butchered S/D (vigor nerf, some traits being moved elsewhere or on the same line so you’re forced to choose ONE etc)
- Everyone does more damage now yet some classes are suffering more because there was little to no implementation of defensive stuff or as previously stated, traits got moved around and you’re forced to choose certain things
- The new thief specialization is called The Nerf Stick and it’s centered around being the absolute king of holding the most nerfs at any given time and is certain to accomplish utter failure to any extent due to the plethora of nerfs crowned upon it be it publicly announced, hidden or bugged beyond describable words.

i stopped playing gw for 8 months.. i backed 4 days ago.. i didn t understand nothing about everything was going on, but my thief was deleted in every fight

right now i m kicking a lot of kitten, like the guardians’ one.. i found easier the fights against engi and, sometimes, mesmers.
generally ranger and warr aren t a big deal, but the eles are kinda though, sometimes i shot em, sometimes they shot me
should improve survability and health pool.. i can t stomp nobody
just enhance life blast, just do it.. faster.. it s slow as hell lol
anyway, i think it s just a justified overcriticism, like in others communities, though, necro needs something more, in dmg i mean, dps or sustained, just a little bit, because the 1v1 generally are long 1 minute, can t be possible

i think that anet is balancing ( or try to do it ) in the worst manner.. right now the guardians can do to many things.. like mesmers.. donno, but they should lead classes in one direction.. not thousan of them.. a dps can t have sustained dmg, 5 sec of block, 5 sec of invulnerability, 4 sec of stability ecc..

dude, i play for fun, like 90% of players.. i just know one thing: people always complaint.. you go on mesmer community, u’ll read complaints, same for thief, mesmer and ele
the point is if you can fulfill your task. when i play with my team mates, my task is to roam and take points or hold them.. and i can do it very well.. take time fighting 2v1 means your mates are 4v3.
wanna talk?? ok.. necro atm has at least 2 fears, excellent condi clear, good controll and good sustained damage. Plus, he s a tough profession due to high pf and armor ( with cele u rech 2500)
maybe in tournameints is not played too much, but who of you plays at high elo torunameints?? i thing people speak just because others do.
i’ll be honest.. till last december i didn t like the necro, couldn t found his dimention, but i feel the differences right now.

more, i didn t lose a single 1v1, and i m not an excellent player.. what i m saying is: i don t believe necro is trash.. i enjoy play him and he s very resilient

well.. don t follow high matches, but i can see a real change of gameplay.. after 3 years i have finally enojoyed play necro..
ok, still hate warriors, but i can manage every profession, generally in 2v1 i don t die and also in 3v1 i can handle a point for several seconds

The problem is ( my opinion) : is better than spite??
I started to play pvp ( and only this) just 3 days ago, after a long time.. and i have to be honest: i really like new necro. I said this because my tests aren t enough to take conclusions, but the few games i played with spite in place of curse, i find them harder.. The might stacking is less usefull in place of the survability by curse, but replacing soul reaping doesn t sound me good…
Let me be clear: with exactly this build i feel the immortality.. but the damage is quite low.. i generally win 1v1 and don t die in 2v1, so i guess to replace something with spite.

thank you.. i just rolled an ele and i found him very hard to play… can t deal damage at all i don t die, my foe don t die and the duel goes on for 10 mins.. at least now, i understand what to do
if you’ re playing with your team, D/D is ok.. less utility but can littereally one shot every non bunker char.. and this is usefull in other way.. maybe d/p is better in terms of utility and survability.. but not in dmg.. need to choose what your team needs
well.. i won t have the time and will to farm like this for another 2 monthes need fast gold or fast luck ( i mean, not essence of luck.. just my luck

hey.. i found d/d usefull only if u play very smart.. i mean.. follow ur target, wait till he loses line of sight with u, then eng with infiltrator signet, c&d + steal combo.. in this way he can t see u coming.. choose ur target and pray.. still, playing thief is very funny and sometimes very annoying.. fighting warriors with 10 secs of invulnerability suck a lot, as well as fight a ranger, with endure pain, dog and stealth ( and the arrows that follow u after stealth ) or a engineer ( does really exist only a build??). But i find my role ( when i play with my team): i don t often engage 1v1 ( or, at least i have to be sure that can be a fast fight that ends soon..) but i just roam and help to finish targets who are contesting our points.. D/P is quite better, like others said, dued to interrupt and blind spam ( and endless close the gap ). Studying carefully others builds will help u to know what skill has primary importance to be dodged and which classes ( or build ) u have to avoid. In the end, thief’s power depends to own skillz. Watch streams and play
hello folks, i hope haven t wrong section.. so, i m looking for finish my legendary dagger.. i need just the spark cause i v already finished all gifts. I remember about a year ago when the pres’s cost were about 500 gold worth.. now the spark costs 1500g.. I know the best way to aquire is by TP, but i m feeling lucky and wanna gamble at forge now, i estimate an average expendure of 37 s per dagger ( using venom cause is the lowest t5 right now ) via craft, that is 1,3 g per attempt. I m actually farming 12 world boss event per day and 5 or 6 dungeons, for, more or less, 5 farming hours per day and 30 g per day.. This is the best i can do ( sometimes 35 g or 40g.. but best part of time 30g ). I thought was a good goal but when i heard of people having 5k gold, 10k gold i wandered how could they do this.. So, i don t need 10k gold, but there is a way to improve my gold per day??
I m looking (also) for a tip to invest my karma.. i m actually farming 500k karma per month so i can spend some and i have 500k right now.. that s the situation.. any tips??
