I can guarantee you that NSP don’t do intentional team-ups. We’ve had it done against us and it sucks :/ Unintentional Double teaming always happens, none of our servers have the manpower to mount an assault on 2 fronts. and I seem to see SM being contested? is that gom trebbing it or DR assaulting it im not sure, but this is nothing compared to the level of low that happened to NSP before, don’t make me look for screenshots, im sure most remember that scandal.

I am not the one on forums claiming to have the biggest pvp kitten. You are.
Now either show us a video of your 5v20/5v40/5v60 of an organised guild, then you may have the kitten crown.

Im currently on JQ for a 1 week hiatus to stop myself for logging the insane hours for my server. And to learn some new tricks…or so i thought.
From my experience so far only 1 commander is worth his metal. The rest dont move until there is a huge zerg, and the fights are surprising SLOWER paced than in small tiers.
Personal contribution becomes less relevant in those numbers, all you do is autoclick 1 and pop occasional stability and might. There is very little personal fighting and much more ZVZ

Some people prefer that (and admittedly you do get more bags and faster world ranks). But personally for me it has been a very disappointing journey, I always heard rumours of t1 being boring and people QQ’ing about “BLOB WARS 2”, sadly it is true.

I do not feel satisfied as personal player, maybe its as a guild when you pull something off its good, but i cant honestly see any satisfaction in it. You land several hits on the enemy and they die, very rarely do you get prolonged fights with multiple skill recharge cycles.

Tactics is also lacking, sure people stack and follow, but that’s all they do. as soon as they get separated they WP away and dont take their chances, no initiative, no great siege usage/placement as siege becomes pretty irrelevant with those numbers.

Overall i cant wait for my exams to be over and be back on my home server NSP, sure we are losing and out-manned, but we keep fighting, and that’s where the fun is for me.

Also in lower tiers it feels to be alot more close knit group of combatants, as the smaller guilds have been mended together into great allies in face of tougher combat, you rely on your brothers, you fight with them and you die for them… Commradery that is lost in higher tiers as losing 1 or 2 players makes very little difference.

EDIT: Also lower tiers tend* to have much more server dedicated guilds with long lasting battle-bound friendships, rather than server hopping guilds whom go to the winning tier (you know who you are )

I am an EU times commander on an NA Server NSP, as dunberry posted above, we fight back hard and stand our ground. We could use any extra hands. (I especially could use more EU folks)

NSP consists of many small guilds and one or two large wvw guilds, Os being our mothership. Love those guys, always fun and always there when they are needed. Great cross-guild communication and teamwork.

Give me a pm in game, im currently in my exam season so not playing much (until next friday, then i’d say im gonna log 48 hours straight! haha) Give me a shout ingame
Im always on from 8 GMT onwards during exam season and usually earlier other days.

Im pretty sure at one stage we spotted a bot doing this to us when we were in green position (since there are no guards on the watergate)

Not saying it was a GoM bot, cant remmember what server it was.
Track its movements and see if it takes the exact same path every-time running directly past you=bot

Or get off the bandwaggon and join other servers where there is no blobbing.
NA t6-t8 all have some very good small man teams.

the only thing that would unbalance the tier is a large guild like this transferring over and breaking the equilibrium.

1 or 2 large HoD guilds jumped ship to GoM already, it will not stay balanced for long.
During my command hours we are pretty much always atleast 1v3 of GoM but 1v1.5 of DR (obviously not real statistics just what it seems like)

^ just actually play wvw… badges are easy to get.

The only thing EB JP chest changed since the patch is severely decreased amount of siege available to actual wvw players who use alot of siege… without increase in siege drop/loot rewards for wvw i forsee folks running out pretty quickly.

Hope so! Same with Eredon Terrace and Ferguson’s Crossing. It would be neat to see some more regular server exchanges between tier 7 and 8.

I agree, but I don’t think it will happen until Devon works out a new ranking system. It’s clear that on the bottom, there are 7 servers which could play together on a rotating basis without major washouts (ET, FC, HoD, GoM, NSP, DR, IoJ). Here is hoping they figure it out soon.

You do realise that most (not all as there are quite a few since-launch homeguilds) of t1-t3 is bandwagoners who want to follow and automash 1…right?

If you want your guild action to be on similar numbers, with no que sizes and competative play without the skill lag, go to any of the lower tier servers on EU or NA. Check the wvw rankings and see which matchups are the most even, which server is the underdog population wise and join them.

There are toomany threads of t1/t2 players QQ’ing about imbalance and skill lag and “BLOB WARS” I am currently in t7 and haven NEVER had as much fun as i am having right now. Sure the coverage could be better but at a certain stage you stop worrying about it and just enjoy the game for what it is.

Open your eyes, the developers have given you a BEAUTIFUL game, and people just complain about it once they all pile into the same servers and get lag. What do you expect?

It seems GoM is the new IoJ butttt at least nsp have enough to keep them occupied, for the most part in oceanic times.
At least prime time is a pretty even playing field.
I personally would like to see all of these “boss roaming groups” that DR seems to talk about. All I’ve been witness to so far is unorganized 4-12 man fights which are by all means not bad but I wanna see the big baddies more

Yeah, this match-up seems lighter on the roaming groups than what I was hoping for. Even a few of our old foes from NSP that we were looking forward to fighting again seem to be sitting in zergs more and roaming less. I did manage to get a good 1v1 with a Btsy and a 2v2 with those EDGE guys, but that’s about it. Everyone else seems eager to duck into guards or their zerg at the first sign of trouble.

Still hoping to catch Oozo’s crew out in the field and see how we stack up against them. And XOXO/SPCA… where y’at? I miss PAXA

That’s why i HATE the commanders system in this game. This puts a bunch of PVE players in the place to command a PVP group.(pve because the only kinda of player i see throwing down 30 g like it’s nothing or is a bot or a 100% farmer)

I haven’t played PvE since I farmed my tag in Orr during the first weeks of this game.
And I’ve commanded daily, almost totally solidly for 8months. Which doesn’t make me good by any means. But I do know my stuff.

Even if people who WvW hardcore bought commanders tags they’d still be bad commanders. Fact. Playing WvW and Commanding and both very different.

Just because you think you can WvW doesn’t mean you can command to any standard. That is something that I myself hate to read. You need to be intelligent to become a good commander. Strong mathematics and a good memory are required, if you can’t count/forget a camp is on a buff. Then your zerg gun’die.
Play some RTS games and even Chess mixed with map reading (even a bit of PR helps too).
Essentially. Be a gamer whos dabbled in all the genres. I doubt you could sit here and tell me you meet those requirements perfectly. Infact, very few people can. And thats why we have few really, REALLY Good Commanders who do it all right.

Yes “PvE Commander Super Stars” (this is their full title please us it) come into WvW and strut around thinking they are good. But they leave very quickly.
My advice to all and anyone is to recognize good commanders and just join their squad.
If you server has no good commanders, leave your server and join NSP, we have a few floating around somewhere.

Other than that join a European server.
NA Commanders < Euro Commanders.

I play since the beta for GoM but i never felt so ashamed before.
Not even when ppl called us of hackers, when some kitten actually did it, neither when we fell to the last tier.

But HoD’s players that transfered to GoM Achieved something i’ve never seen before.

They went in the keep and builded 21 Alpha golems, yes you didn’t read wrong it was 21. (will wait for someone who got the SS to post here, i’m sure someone did)
AND 2 Omega golems.
That’s 31 gold JUST in the golems bluesprint.

They left the Keep and attacked: Wild Creek Post.

And was about that. they managed to lose 16 golems IN ONE kittenING TOWER, WHEN SM had Outter walls down and normal gates.

That’s such a high level of inability, that i’m pretty sure they deserve a prize for that.

And one of these “highly skilled” commander asked why no one, after this ****, was following his order.

A real big salute to the players of “Zombie Land” that for a random reason have “WvW” tag but pls transfer back for HoD.

If i could i would trade all of you guys for 3 NPCs guards for our keep.

Yes quite a few friends of mine on HoD were very happy when they jumped ship, after telling the entire server to give up until after SF moved up.But SF moved up at the same time HoD went down as they offered no resistance at all. it was heartbreaking.

If i could afford it id gladly fork out w/e they asked me to pay.

Very good fights in NSP BL last night, after we took GoM BL we went for a casual camp flip and some WXP in DR bl, their response time was very good! awesome fight at north camp (1)

We had alot of uplevels DR came a us pretty hard and consistently! I later sacrificed myself (asura guardian) to let the others wp.

Sadly it was at this point i noticed our Hills was gone!

After we retook hills and were doing some camp clearing . Ive stumbled across a very persistent pair. Ranger and thief. Really tanky ranger, permastealth thief. They were pretty kitten good together. Myself and another ZoS guardian really enjoyed our fight at the SE camp of NSP BL, (I blame respawns for losing that one XD)

Yes, because when your keep is under siege and your enemy has wiped out all your supply camps at once. You will want to wait 20-30 minutes to get them back.

Anticipated the enemy and cut them off.
Or follow the enemy 2 camps behind and farm wxp.

Oh I dont want anything except a good fight… ive gone 4 weeks on a ranger trying to chase down a 1 on 1 fight… (except mesmers) most of the time I just kept flipping camps which can get boring… then when thiefs run away to bring back friends to kill a solo ranger… its gets frustrating and boring.

SF you were understimated and you showed us why, Despite all the trash talk from NSP/SF/HoD this matchup was really good.

It proved what i had already know in my heart, that despite everything NSP will keep fighting.

Predictions wise: I think SF wont make it past BP (unless something happens to BP in the meantime) those guys were alot of fun to play, always respected their side. I can forsee SF doing same to AR as they did to HoD, maybe not to the same extent though.

Looks like (atm) SF is here to stay for another week?

I really hope HoD turmoil gets sorted out while in T8 and to face them again in t7.

As for people making snide remarks, enough already with where is HoD crap. The fighters that show up and try are not deserving of your flippant dismissals since it’s obvious we are lacking bodies for map coverage.

I think most of the “where’s HoD?” comments/attitudes comes from the (possibly unfounded) perception that you did have those numbers during the first two weeks of the match-up..whereas this week you have been a relative ghost town.

So it’s not a comment on your overall status/population/capability.. it’s genuine puzzlement as to where did all those players we’ve been seeing for weeks suddenly disappear to?

The problem isn’t necissarily “where’s HoD”, Khursun clearly has an issue with a person calling HoD “useless”, which is pretty harsh. Server activity goes up, server activity goes down. I’m guessing with a largish guild leaving alongside the beatdown going on, a lot on HoD feel pretty darn low morale. Calling HoD “useless” fora down week, that’s probably less classy than corpsedancing.

My problem is the where is HoD comments of the last few days; being called useless was just the cherry on top as I fight beside the same dedicated people every night and just feel they deserve some respect is all.

That guild leaving will be good for morale as it was like being in junior high on map chat in times talking about WvW….in LA. less talk moar walk, especially with such a large guild that could place more bodies where they could have made difference.

Water under the bridge now though, so time for bacon and cookies and fighting!

In all honesty I would like to apologise for my comment on HoD being useless.
Just got back home and realised it was wrong of me.
Made it this morning after 6 hours of sleep during study time, and was getting a bit annoyed that its basically a 1v1 atm.
Regardless I shouldn’t have taken out my frustration on HoD as alot of you guys are still fighting the good fight and doing what you can.
Please accept my apologies.

I am however seriously* puzzled as to where everyone had gone, just 3 weeks ago it was a SEA of HoD on every horizon, now a barren wasteland.

While NSP and SF were locked in one of the most epic battles in EB, with NSP liberating their keep and SF constantly flooding it with enemies it would have been the perfect opportunity for HoD to strike and take their EB keep back.

But HoD being HoD decided “to hell with our stuff lets go hit NSP while they are busy”….nice garrison try btw.

I went to bed less than 6 hours ago with EB keep safely in NSP hands, sieged to the teeth with t2 walls, cannons and siege everywhere.

Logged on this morning to find EB 100% green again and keep at t2… As much as everyone would like to blame NSP for its loss, we really cant compete with the numbers (yet again im not saying all at once, i mean a steady numbers coverage) of SF. The people of NSP have proven themselves last nigh in my eyes.

Problem is, atm its NSP vs SF in NSP spawn… im pretty sure SF don’t even have to look at the HoD side, bar maybe 1 guy to mount the siege there.

To SF, thank you for awesome fights last night, I hope we have proved a worthy enough opponent.
To HoD… at this stage im glad you guys are on your way to t8, proven more than useless.

You know that for the longest time tonight, while NSP tried to grab stonemist from us (which we held you guys in the lord room, preventing you from capping), HoD was fighting for their keep, so we had to split our forces to fight both server. Once they decided to abandon and go to bed, the night crew came up and decided to go into your BL. HoD didnt go straight for your stuff.

WvW is failing? Even if everything you said was true (which it is not), WvW would not be failing. Queue times result from high demand, the opposite of failing.

3/4 of your problems with WvW can be solved by transferring to a lower tier server.

But…But if he/she transfers to a lower tier server… and there is not blob to follow what then? You dont actually propose people stop jumping on the bandwaggon of top tier server zergs and actually learn to play/coordinate themselves do you? /sarcasm
